The hallways smelled Really awful on the 2nd and 3rd floor**It is not really a hotel flaw, so I can’t blame them for that I found out while looking for an ice machine, which they don’t have even though the map (blurry due to casing being matte) by the elevator mentions “Ice” with no indication of where it actually is

I believe someone cooked extremely strong scented ethnic foodAlso, I’m assuming that they Had ice machines at one point and got rid of the machine due to the pandemic or something else No ice machines to be found on any of the floors Nonetheless, the employee in the kitchen on the first floor by the bar was nice enough to give us iceThe hallways need to be ventilated or something, the smell was very strong and stale air Other than that, the rooms are very clean and there was minor wear and tear, but nothing that I can imagine would bother anyone unless you’re a perfectionistThe kitchen was stocked with some cups, plates, a cheese grater, fridge, etc Seems fine for 1-2 people max Rooms are very small, but comfortable1 star for odor in hallways and elevators (deducted from “Rooms”)0 star for the view behind the hotel 😂 it’s a construction site or a recent demolition Again, not really the hotels fault and that’s not exactly a deal breaker for people who are just visiting the area short-term or need a place to crash for the night

Horrible experience here Before booking I called and spoke to manager to clarify check in and check out policy, all seemed wellUpon arriving, the woman at the desk “couldn’t find” the reservation I had paid for in advance

Eventually she found it, room is nice but the dishes dishes were not clean and there was trash in the couch crevicesNow three days later I need to check out 1 day early, as discussed before hand The woman who was at the counter this time was much more helpful and polite, props to herAll of a sudden the smug manager (same guy I spoke with before booking) comes out and begins explaining that he won’t allow me to check out early as discussedUpon reviewing both of our sets of notes and asking for further clarification the manager was unable to show me the policy he’s referencing and refused to pull up the call recordings where he claims he told me otherwiseHe said “it would be a lot of work to pull up that call”I guess when something requires work they just don’t do it…As a business owner myself, I can say, this is not how you treat customersThis was a simple bait and switch to force me to pay for the additional night that I did not need, since the beginningAlso, although I clicked “no housekeeping” when I booked online, housekeepers walked in on me while I was sleeping this morning

Wish I could rate the stay but I’m sitting in the lobby as the room is not ready even though check in was at 3 pm It is now 3:47 pm We have been here since 1pm as we were told that we could use the facilities prior to check in

But when we said we wanted to use the pool we were told no After speaking to the manager, he said we could use the pool but also said our room would be done soon I’ll check in again and tell you how it’s going!
