The Travelers Rest Bed and Breakfast is in a beautiful custom built home It sits on a large property and is completely surrounded by trees and bushes, which gives it a very secluded feel One sees rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional deer in the yard

The neighborhood is quiet and one can sit outside, drink coffee, and converse quietly with little or no traffic noise Currently the two rooms available are down a flight of stairs and are not handicapped accessible, but plans are in the works to add a third room which will be designed with the handicapped in mind The main floor is airy and spacious The owners are a delightful couple, who make every effort to satisfy their customers The breakfasts were more than ample and delicious Both of the current bedrooms are sizeable and the beds comfortable The towels would do justice to a top of the line hotel I would recommend the Travelers Rest to anyone visiting in Manhattan, KS

Beautiful clean Hotel Service desk people were so kind Will at the service desk went up and beyond to make sure he accommodated all our needs

Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at a hotel Very clean The lady going around picking up dirty plates was so kind She stopped and chatted both days Our last day she gave my Granddaughter a big Hug She melted our Hearts Parking was the only problem but we finally found an open stop I highly recommend this hotel Nice location Angela & Lylli

Stayed here a few years ago and absolutely loved it right within distance of Aggieville Room was clean and hotel staff was friendly Breakfast was good as well

Tried booking with them again this year but unfortunately they won’t let me book for 1 night stay like they did before just because it’s an event night No matter will find another place to stay The 2 night minimum stay is the only reason not 5 stars

Worst Best Western I ever been to This location doesn’t live up to the brand Motel 6 would have been a better choice

The shower didn’t work, sink leaked on the floor under it, lights switch didn’t work , bed only had a top sheet and 3 pillows for 2 people on king bed When I called down for extra bedding was told none was available Only 1 chair in the room No office chair for the desk so hard for wife and I to both do some work at same timeRoom was not provided with any KleenexBreakfast was also disappointing cold eggs and only 3 strips of bacon available were small and also coldI don’t recommend this location

You enter the beautiful lobby and regardless of what time you arrive you are greeted with smiling facesComfy beds and luxurious sheets and towelsBreakfast everyday with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits & gravy, cereals and more!

Poorly trained staff, lost our reservation no elevators, no intranet working, cold breakfast-heating element broken, no one cleaning in eating area after people leaving or making mess, pool area had sign on door clean before and after u leavewhen complained to manager she said she would refund my stay but never did, started blocking my calls, Very unprofessional, Hampton Inn down the road has excellent customer care and very clean Also out of utensils and plates for breakfast, old stale crackers in jar in lobbies, and double booked room someone was trying to get in room about 12am

Stayed here on a business trip Came in late at night got up to my room and the AC was not working Called the front desk and the clerk said there were no other rooms to switch me too, and the night auditor would be clocking in, in 30 minutes then would be up to look at it

No one ever came to check the AC When checking out I informed the front desk clerk of the situation and was informed I was supposed to call to tell him it wasn’t working and there was miscommunication between him and the other clerk He was very rude as was the other clerk I have grown up my entire life going to Marriott hotels, and will not be booking at this location again Customer service is a must when in the hotel and hospitality industry It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review on anything but this was horrible! No one wants to drive 5 hours to sleep in hot room

Marisa H

I gave this a one because the front desk gal was nasty and racist I say this because I came in and asked if they have vacancies because according to online they did and when I went in she told me that there was no vacancies but then there’s a couple that came in behind me that did not have a reservation the same as I but she told them that she had room so I thought that that was really unfair and nasty so I don’t think that I would ever stay at one of or again at this hotel and I really think that they need to address this front desk staff and give her some more training on diversity and being a good customer service rep for this company

Close to Ft Riley and it is perfect for when we are visiting our son The room was much like a one bedroom apartment

The bedroom is a separate room so when our son gets off duty he doesn’t feel like he is visiting us at a hotel room There is a nice fully equipped kitchen so I could even cook our son a “home-cooked” dinner There is even a gas grill you can use The living room was very comfortable with a nice size TV and DVD player I can not think of one thing I was looking for that they couldn’t supply free of charge They had everything from a crackpot, blenders, boardgames and more The crown is free 24 / 7 coffee

I had plans to spend 4 nights in Junction City If I am spending that much time in a hotel, it needs to be comfortable and clean I chose Hampton Inn because I read good reviews and the rates were too good to pass up

The outside was nice and clean, grass maintained, no dog waste sitting in the grass The lobby was similarly attractive The desk staff was amazing Every single person was welcoming, acknowledging me as soon as I walked in the lobby, whether from the door or the elevator They were helpful, able to answer my questions and help me with anything I neededI loved my room It looked and smelled clean, the beds were comfortable, and the sheets were soft It had the expected items, which are necessities for a longer stay: microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator All were maintained and clean The TV was a good size and resolution, and I found a good amount of enjoyable channelsOverall, this was the perfect home away from home I would definitely return for an extended stay

Phil Campbell

Hotel was clean and quiet Room and breakfast were not world beaters, but were more than adequate Staff was friendly and helpful

I hope they begin digital key service in the future Overall, the hotel offers a good night’s stay at a good price If I could give half stars, I would rate it 45 If travel takes us again to Junction City, we will definitely plan to stay there

Tara Carter

I don’t usually write reviews but I do read them, especially when searching for a hotel for the night when away from home Let’s face it some places are disgusting and I can be super picky So, if you’re needing a nice, clean hotel while you’re driving by or are near Junction City then look no further than here! This makes the 2nd Hampton Inn we’ve stayed at this week (the other was in a different city)

This one was hands down the best! The rooms were clean, neat and inviting The beds and pillows are very soft and cozy (just what we needed after driving all day) The hot breakfast was amazing with so many choices The staff was very friendly and helpful and if you’re looking for a fabulous dinner while you stay here, just down the road is the cutest (and tastiest) Italian restaurant named Bella’s

The room was freezing and the unit didn’t work Couldn’t adjust, nor turn off the ac The freezer in the mini fridge was a sold block of ice

There were no toiletries at all No soap, no toilet paper, no shampoo/conditioner, and no coffee We had to go down to the lobby to ask for themThe lady in the lobby was nice The room appeared clean The hotel looked nice And, I loved the location I walked over to WM which was right there, and I rode my bike just a couple of miles down to a nice park/playground

Jameson Jones

Very pleasant stay Check-in was a breeze Ample parking (but not desolate)

Pet friendly! Room was well-appointed and clean, AC worked perfectly; nice, spotless bathroom and shower Best night’s sleep we had for the entire trip! Should add that it’s very close to a respectable Walmart, <05mi walking, if that We ate at Tokyo hibachi hie dire try across Chestnut street from the hotel It was deliciousIf you need a place to stay with your fam/furry friends, the Courtyard by Marriott in Junction City is a top choice!

Jason Hancock

Close to the interstate, but far enough not to have any noise from the traffic This hotel was a perfect stopping point Numerous nearby restaurants and a Wal-Mart mean you can eat and resupply for the next day’s drive

The pool is a saltwater pool, which is a big plus for me The lack of a remote in the room for the TV (use your smartphone) was annoying and something I didn’t like at all I also didn’t feel all that welcome by the front desk person when I checked in, but the rest of the staff was great

My family stayed at the Holiday Inn Manhattan at the Campus and we found the service to be excellent, the beds comfy, the hotel nice and quiet and had a great stay overall We would like to specifically compliment Blaine, the manager, who handled our requests and needs with alacrity and aplomb–class, style, intuition, professionalism and keen humor were his calling cards Well done to the staff for an all-around pleasant experience at your fine hotel, and we will definitely be back!

Probably the nicest staff of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in The place itself is a bit dated but they’ve definitely done the best they can making it a lovely place to stayThe room was spacious, close to where we needed to go in town

The best part: we were greeted with a goodie bag of snacks You can tell the people running this place truly care about their property and guestsNext time we are in town we will definitely stay here Perfect for budget friendly travel AND they do allow pets for a small extra charge 🙂

We work over the road half the year and are pretty self-sufficient, but sometimes you just want a hotel room We picked the motel because the prices were quite reasonable and the staff who greeted us at check-in were very friendly and helpful Our room was large and comfortable and for a very small fee our cat was allowed as well

The water pressure in the shower was awesome! Thank you for such great service! We would certainly stay again if in the area!

Jason Houser

The most important factor I look for is how the hotel staff treat their guests They are so welcoming and hospitable they make you feel like family!Slept in a comfortable 1 bed room, shower, wifi, & mini fridge included! Was very clean and the room service was absolutely amazing, very nice ladyI highly recommend staying here again, I know I would

Plus the price was cheap Truly a blessingAlso get to know the staff while you’re there, it’ll be a pleasure trust me:)

This place was just okay My husband and I were driving from TN to CO and stopped here This was not our first choice but it seemed the only option at the time as there was some sort of church convention(???) in Junction City and there were no rooms left in the first few places we stopped

We got there around 11pm after calling and making reservations via the corporate number The front desk worker was extremely pleasant and went to make sure the room was open and clean She explained that some rooms were closed for deep cleaning and that that happens randomly but the room I had paid for was open This made be a bit nervous but it was fine The room was nothing nice but the beds were comfy and the AC and TV workedHowever, there were people coming in and out of the lobby all night and it seemed there was a party in the parking lot My husband was sketched out by all the folks hanging out and coming in and out and he felt a bit unsafe and worried for our car in the parking lot There is also no elevator so we carried all of our stuff to the second floor using stairsOverall our stay was fine It was around $115 which seems a bit high It included breakfast which was nothing special but nice to have in the morning before getting on the roadI don’t think this would be my first choice for places to stay in Junction City Kansas but we needed the rest and it turned out just fine

Pretty much what you expect from a Quality InnWe stayed here recently on our road trip from Salt Lake City to Atlanta Our stay was pleasant The room was clean and the bed was comfortable

The check-in process was a bit lengthy with lots of questions and information needed – which has been eliminated at some of the higher starred hotel chains There is no elevator The bathroom is dated with a bathtub and shower combo with a shower curtain, but the water pressure and hot water were consistent The toiletries were very cheap quality The breakfast was very poor quality food, eggs were runny Waffles tasted like plastic Everything else prefab Pretty much what you expect from a Quality Inn But it was a pleasant stay

Very nice B&B experience! As a newbie to the B&B way, I felt the host, Tim, was very friendly and accommodating to our needs The house, and antiques within, were interesting relics of days gone by Tim was able to provide context to all the items

Being the middle of winter we weren’t able to experience the full beauty of the garden Overall, a nice new experience with my Valentine!
