Chehalem B&B exceeded all expectations Liz handled every detail to perfection Highly recommend taking advantage of their service to book a wine tasting day

We had a lovely day visiting 3 boutique wineries! Kristin’s breakfasts are creative and accommodating to allergies…i wish I could cook like that! My husband even got to pet Stumpy! The bed was so comfortable and the view from our room was amazing Thank you Chehalem for a wonderful get away in wine country!

Laura Ladner

This bed and breakfast is absolutely incredible and I honestly can say that enough If I could give it more than five stars for ‘bonus points’ I would The views are spectacular, the amenities are top notch, very clean, hospitality from the Innkeeper’s was world class, and breakfast in the mornings was absolutely incredible

They really go out of their way at Chehalem Ridge B&B to make sure your stay is incredible They also provided us with great recommendations to the local wineries I honestly can’t think there is a better place to stay in the Willamette Valley Thanks, Kristin & Liz!

Andrew Grissom

Wow, Chehalem Ridge was amazing! We had spectacular views, very comfortable rooms and common areas, and super attentive hosts We went on a wine tasting trip with friends and had a blast Liz and Kristen were very friendly, accommodating to all our dietary restrictions, and helpful with finding things to do around Newburg

The breakfast on both days was delicious We were just a 10-minute drive from downtown Newburg and there were many wine tasting options within a 30-minute drive We can’t wait to go back I highly recommend this to anyone who would like a fun wine country getaway

Brett Gilman

My wife and I spent a week here for our honeymoon, and we could not have picked a better place to stay The room was perfect, with a comfy king bed, heated bathroom floors, beautiful deck, and a big bathtub Dan and Maureen served us a different 4 course breakfast every morning, and everything they made was delicious

They had great suggestions for things to do in the area, and were fantastic hosts to us all week With seemingly endless wineries within 20 minutes, and only a short drive from Portland, this is the place to stay if you are visiting the Willamette Valley

Elisa ‘Ellie’ Nuth

We stayed here for only 2 nights while on a bicycle tour of the Willamette valley vineyards, but wish it could have been the whole week! Accommodations could not have been better: huge comfy bed with the softest duvet I have ever slept under, fireplace, semi-private deck with a view for morning coffee, huge soaking tub, large shower, and the heated bathroom floors were so nice! TV was a nice bonus to veg out after a long day of bicycling and drinking wine The entire home is decorated in a lovely classy yet comfortable way with unique art The large multiple course homemade breakfast each morning was delicious and gave us the fuel we needed to explore the valley each day

We didn’t even feel the need to eat lunch we were so satisfied from breakfast The best part, however, was that Dan and Maureen went above and beyond with their hospitality They responded quickly via email regarding questions even before we arrived, and Dan was even nice enough to give us a ride to pick up our car on the last day of our bike trip so we didn’t have to ride on the busy town highway again They were available the entire time yet gave plenty of privacy I highly recommend staying with Dan and Maureen, and I hope to be back again sometime soon!

Laura Hunter

Wow These guys have created a great situation here!! I came up with 7 other ladies and we rented the whole place… Dan and Maureen took such great care of us!! The whole place is beautifully new and perfectly designed for the bed and breakfast experience Each room has a king bed with the SOFTEST bedding, full en-suite bathroom with shower and separate tub, fireplace, and a private deck

They prepared a dinner for us one night, and the breakfast every day was delicious Thank you for a great weekend And for tolerating our noisy cackling ladies group 🤪

Had a really nice stay at the Dundee in the Queen Hospitality Suite! The suite was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and very clean Hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and tasting rooms The staff is very kind and welcoming, and Jenna the manager is super helpful

The hotel is also very pet friendly, which is a huge plus! We got their VIP (Very Important Pup) Package, which included a private igloo wine tasting at Dobbes, a Red Hills Market gift card, and fun treats for our pup in the suite We had a truly wonderful time thanks to the Dundee Hotel

Midora M

We stayed at the Dundee Hotel just before Christmas for 2 days It was very quite during those days Since the hotel was not too busy, they gave us an upgrade from a Queen to a King (thank you!)

The room was very clean and nicely decorated It is correct that they don’t have staff at the front all the time, but they can be easily reached by picking up the front desk phone We didn’t experience any issues with reaching a staff to check in or check out There were no construction noise either Overall, super pleasant stay and we will go back again

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown and you can walk to all of the hot spots The hotel is very tasteful decorated and feels very inviting and homey The rooms were clean and well stocked

I cannot recall a more comfortable bed in my life I would gladly stay here again and I’m sure I will We love visiting McMinnville

Tristan Weir

My wife and I stayed her for an anniversary weekend We had been looking at homes in the area and, at the time, had a pending offer on a home nearby that we did not know would be accepted I wanted my wife to experience some time in the town she fell in love with when we last visited

If you are planning on visiting McMinnville, no doubt you have been drawn by the beautiful vineyards, farmland, country roads, rolling hills and beautiful vistas But that’s not why my wife and I were most taken when visiting, and now living, in the area We were most taken by the people We can both say, the people in the McMinnville area are some of the kindest and most generous people we have had the pleasure of coming across Gentle, outgoing, and even a bit odd at times — my wife and I joked that we were slowly being indoctrinated into the McMinnville cult – and would eventually succumb to their charms, and be sacrificed or eaten as, the scales were tipped so much in favor of kindness and goodness, it would be the only way to bring balance to the universeThis kind, warm, and welcoming sentiment is on full display at this fine boutique hotel right on Third Street in McMinnville We had opportunity to meet the owners (the Moens) on site one evening We shared wine, engaging conversation, recommendations, and good laughs, and a they shared a few pets for our puppy The personal nature of the interaction with the owners is one you will not get at a large chain hotel outside of town You may not be able to collect points here but you may collect a few corks, and a few new friendsNow that the important stuff is out of the way, what of the lodgings? We stayed in room with a king bed The room was immaculately cleaned prior to our arrival Mask policies were in place The was a bottle of wine awaiting us (to be accompanied by another after we met the Moens) The bathroom bisected the bedroom and the small living area, which was a bit unusual, but a part of the charm of the room The mattress on the bed was excellent, as were the linens We both slept very well The small kitchenette area was far more than you would get at a chain hotel, and we were able to enjoy some snacks while we relaxed between outings The puppy got his own bed, bowl, and treatsThe location is perfect Right on Third street, as the name states, and Third street in McMinnville is exactly where you want to be McMinnville is a beautiful town, still at it’s peak There are plenty of amazing restaurants, breweries, tasting rooms, shops, an arcade, theater — and more, well within a short walk of this hotel On Fridays during the summer, Third street is closed off Restaurant seating spills out the tree-lined street Small stages dot the downtown strip The smell of good food and the sound of great music fill the air People are literally dancing in the street Everyone is out It’s the weekend and everyone is out on the town to celebrate somethingIf you’re into small town Americana, or think it’s merely a memory of a bygone era where times were simple, you will be pleasantly surprised to know it is all alive and well here We found the whole vibe to be intoxicating We’re all extended family and there bounty of wine and food from the local farms It’s like we’re all share the enjoyment of a good harvest, surrounded by those that make it all happenThe Douglass is a local gem The proprietors are kind, generous, and welcoming The personal touch goes a long wayWe bought a home nearby and frequent the downtown area Our favorite restaurant, 1882, is right across the street from The Douglass They don’t know my wife and I by name, but they do know the name of our dog It’s like that Enough said?Book your stay here, and you will be comfortable, secure, and well cared for

Lindsey M

My husband and I stayed in Unit 6 at the Douglas on Third last weekend while spending time in the Willamette Valley We absolutely loved our room, the complimentary wine tasting in the lobby on Friday night, the fact that we could enter the building and our room with a keypad, and the location is perfect! I highly highly recommend The Douglas on Third and we already can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful historic house Each room has its own bathroom The breakfast was wonderful with a fruit plate, cheese and nuts, and then a plate with creative waffles and pancakes full of local berries

I am sensitive to scents, so was pleased that the Magnolia Room had only a faint floral scent that didn’t set off my allergies The bed was very comfortable The hosts were welcoming I’ll definitely consider staying there again

McMenamins adds their twist to this historic building Each bar has its own unique touch I liked the views from the rooftop bar, it’s a pretty small space though

If you eat on the rooftop, your food does come from the kitchen on the first floor Had fun completing my passport Service and amenities met our needs, visiting during UFO festival

David Weber

It’s a charming old place, but be prepared for a rustic experience Rooms are TINY and many don’t include a bathroom The decor is all about UFOs, and the beer is all McMenamins

Location can’t be beat and the rooftop bar is super charming Service has alwasy been quirky and very friendlyIf you like a little personality where you stay, you’ll enjoy it here If you’d rather a larger room or more modern accommodations, there are other good spots in town, but most are corporate clones

Bob Crisman

Hotel Oregon is the gem of McMinnville and one of the greatest secret weekend getaways in Oregon As with many of the McMenamins properties, it’s more about the experience than the accommodations Over the last 2 years we have stayed in 3 rooms

The first room we stayed in was the Heck Harper room This room was the largest of the three we stayed in and one of the rare rooms with a private restroom The other two times we stayed there we opted for the shared bathroom/shower which each floor has The rooms were small but adequate and tell of the history of famous people that have stayed there, or share about the lore of the area None of the rooms offer a TV so bring along a good book The rooftop bar is amazing during the evening and the restaurant on the main floor offers the food that many McMenamins guests look forward to Although family and dog friendly, the stay is best for adults who want to escape the city life and enjoy the simpler things in life Downtown is great for small boutiques and antique shopping There is a great park for kids within walking distance and the Museum of Flight is just a short drive away Rooms I would rate at 25 stars but the atmosphere and friendly staff put the whole experience over 5 stars

Beautiful property inside & out that’s well maintained in every way Lots of warm woods, fine textiles, and soft art make the interior spaces—including guest rooms—delicious through and through There are graveled walking trails for those that like a crunchy stroll

Do not stay here!**Unresponsive/dishonest manager, Dirty rooms and disorganized staff**I made the mistake of booking a room on a trip down to Newberg to see a friendI called ahead to let the hotel know I would be arriving late, the front desk assured me everything would be okWhen I arrived that evening, I was sent up to a disgusting room that had obviously been used

I returned to the front desk to let the staff know, and they told me “we got busy and didn’t get to it” They also didn’t have ANY other clean rooms, so at nearly 1 am I had to scramble to find a room elsewhereLuckily the front desk attendant felt bad for me and helped call the Best western to get us a roomI informed the front desk that I did not want to return to Holiday Inn and would like to stay at the Best western for my 2nd night as well, and was told no I was instructed to return the next day when my room had been cleanedWhen I arrived the 2nd day, I was told I would be given a complete refund of the 1st night and I would be given a discount on my 2nd night That would have been nice, except I already paid, so the manager said she would arrange for my refundThe manager never contacted my booking agency, never called me back and I had to wait on hold for hours to get ahold of agents to coordinate my refund The booking agency finally called me back and told me that the manager approved the 1st night refund and refused the 2nd discount that I was promisedI am STILL waiting for her to call me backI wish I never stayed hereI highly doubt I am going to get the remainder of my refund, so please take this as a warning

Edward Kennedy

The walls are paper thin Woken up both nights do to neighbors noise, secondly we had no shower gel or coffee in the room When I reported it to front desk the girl just laughed and said housekeeping didn’t show up that morning

After checking out early 2 nights instead of 5 I was charged for 5 nights, I had a copy of checkout where it said only 2 nights I had to call the corporate offices to get the charge resolvedI will never stay in any Holiday Inn

About the only thing I can complain about is that maintenance didn’t mount the bathroom door level so it swings open, blocking the entryThe room was very spacious, and the vending machine’s prices were oddly reasonable Went for just a little bit of stress relief and it was quite pleasant

One of the better experiences I’ve had at a hotel in the past few years

patrick harris

Breakfast was done poorly each day with stale biscuits, tasteless eggs and cold sausage Room was less than expected for 250 a night , the rip off rate for commencement Clerk charged my card twice , carpet was dirty chairs worn , lamps old , do you get the picture, bed was good as was pillows, bathroom was set up for handicapped which I deserved since I only booked the room 6 months in advance

Debbe Z.

The manager here stole all our money without authorization when she knew she would get a payment from a corporate account with Comfort Inn across the US for their employees!!!!! My husband checked out on a Saturday and was charged a lot of money which put us in the red on our bank account! Two days later, we still have no money in our account and I called and she would hang up

A tip: If you are on a company account DO NOT GIVE this person your bank information! I called Comfort Inn Corp and they do not care either! And I couldn’t make a complaint, they don’t allow it Opened a fraud complaint with the bank and called police Trina lied What finally did it was the police asking for proof of a charge back, which she never did Finally the very next morning got our money back

I had to get a room very last minute, as in my mother called while I was 45 minutes away and on my way to the area I had a room somewhere else

but it wasn’t made for human habitation and Motel 6 should be ashamed My mom had no trouble reserving a room for me and goodness what a difference I felt like I was in the lap of luxury The woman at the front desk when I arrived was professional, no nonsense, and efficient She was like a rock I didn’t know I needed while I was an emotional wreck from all my drama I was in town for one night for a funeral in the morning The hotel was incredibly clean The breakfast selection looked delicious (I could only stomach something really small but it all looked yummy!) This place is really easy to get to from the freeway *and* it’s right next to a cluster of shopping and food options that includes an REI and a McDonald’s, but don’t worry – the hotel has a dedicated parking lot Giant windows and a dedicated panel A/C for better control of the temperature There is a gym and a pool I didn’t get a chance at but have no doubt they are lovely If you’re considering this place, there isn’t any reason not to stay here and many reasons to stay

We had one reservation for 2 days using points in a 2 bed room and consecutively paid for a second reservation of 3 days in a 1 bed room Both rooms were spacious Hotel staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was consistently well stocked

The pool was very clean and empty The only issue was that we saw bugs in both rooms and the hallway The first room had a large bug in the bathroom and it went behind the mirror When it surfaced again, my daughter screamed We told the manager who was extremely apologetic An employee who overheard us talking asked if it was a spider or “potato” bug I said I thought it was a potato bug as it was large and round They commented that the heat (close to 90) was the likely cause In the second room (a few doors down from the first) the bug was above the bed This was unnerving and we all had trouble sleeping Again, other than bugs in both rooms, the hotel was greatOne additional note, the parking lot entrance is shared with the only In N Out Burger in Oregon The drive through is always crowded and occasionally very loud cars can be heard from the 4th floorThe area is fantastic with lots of food options and a Target (with curbside) less than a 2000 ft from the hotel

This Holiday Inn Express at Keizer/Salem OR looks brand new The king bed suite is as spacious as any I’ve seen Lots of user friendly features including the sink in the bathroom (A pet pieve of mine when hotels put the sink outside the bathroom in the living area)

Night light in bathroom, an extra lounge chair in addition to the sleeper sofa, foot stools under night stands, accent/mood lights above wardrobe Handy power outlets+++ Haven’t used any services yet, just checked in a few hours ago Great room at fair price so far

I’m leaving a well deserved 5 star review for The Vintages I loved everything about this place and it seemed better than in their pictures I highly recommend booking a trailer with a tub or shower if you can for more privacy than using the communal showers, which we didn’t get a chance to check out

The area was peacefully quiet and very walkableWe stayed on a weekday in spring so it was delightfully rather empty

The Flannel Camper

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday We left the kids with grandma and the 40′ fifth wheel at home and headed out We have driven by this place many times heading to the coast, wish we would have stayed here sooner

My wife kept saying she felt like she was in a dream the way the main street looked The place was absolutely fantastic and so well kept We stayed in the 1951 M-System Special Deluxe It was like traveling in time The trailer was surprisingly spacious and in really great condition The staff was so friendly We loved the fire pit area while we enjoyed an adult beverage The bathrooms were immaculate The pool was not open during this time but it looked like it will be very refreshing when we return There are full timers living on the other side of the park but they are kept separate from the vintage area Riding the cruiser bikes around the property was fun This place is an absolute gem and can’t wait to return

These trailers are adorable! I was very pleasantly surprised that the bed was really comfortable! Beautiful grounds Our trailer was up front and pretty close to the road so we did hear some traffic, next time we’ll ask for something in the V20’s and back, but overall a great little place to stay and close to SO many wineries We’ll be back!
