Overly positive experience We requested a first floor room and that request was accommodated The breakfast, along with the breakfast workers were both fabulous

Way better options that I expected including hot items and fresh waffles My only real issue was that our room smelled like wet dog I understand the hotel is pet friendly, and have pets myself, but I don’t know that I would have stayed longer than one night a room that really smelled of wet dog We didn’t ask to change rooms because we were a late check-in and and early check-out, but it seems reasonable to keep the pet room separate from those without pets Otherwise, the room and property was great! There’s even a 24/7 Waffle House in the same parking lot which we took full advantage of at 11pm

John Morton

The last time that we stayed here I never got a chance to do a review but I’m taking the time out this time I remember on our previous visit we were not charged an incidental fee, but we found that that is a necessary part of their process now I found everything about the room to be acceptable aside from the fact that it had a major lack for USB plugs but there are 6 very accessible outlets

Very clean and beds very comfortable The ice machine on the second floor wasn’t working during our visit so we simply use the one on the third floor The place feels very safe and secure which is one reason that we chose it for a second time And upon departure we found that spectacular breakfast provision had not changed one bit Without a doubt would stay here again on our next trip We’re very thankful for the conscientious customer care offered by all the employees

LifeNeverADullMoment

Excellent for the price wish I could find this nice everywhere I go Room was clean comfortable AC worked well shower was good bed comfortableFront desk clerk aloof wasn’t there when we came in had to ring bell several times before she came to desk

Breakfast is best I’ve had lately in hotels all over USA Even had bacon! Nice parking in back for truck with trailers

Stopped for an overnight stay at this comfy KOA while motorcycle travelling with my dog My first time at a KOA and I couldn’t have been more pleased Steve, Patty and Angela were so friendly and helpful

Steve even brought the firewood I purchased at the store right to my cabin We stayed in one of the little camping cabins and it was perfect The bathrooms were super clean with four showers and the pool was a beautiful blue and all very close to my site It was a great KOA experience and we cant wait to visit more on our travels

Dan G

We stayed at the Meridian KOA on the way to and from the Gulf coast and were so pleased with this place This KOA has beautiful mature trees, a large clean pool, paved sites, a well-stoked general store, and a game room We unfortunately missed out on the big slide through the woods but it looked awesome

The staff is great We arrived close or at closing with some friends who had a separate RV and reservation We were initially located at sites far apart but the owner went to her house to check her computer and move us to a site next to our friends She really went above and beyond and was incredibly friendly We will make this a regular stop when heading to the coast

Mike Moore

I cannot begin to describe how well we were treated after a really, really bad day traveling We were about 20 miles north of the campground on I 20 when we had a tire blow out on our camper After several hours waiting for Triple AAA RV Plus to show up ( after multiple phone calls ) they never did so we made other arrangements on our own

Needless to say when we finally made it to the KOA, after hours, they opened up the office, got us in a wonderful site and were very eager to help us any way they couldAlso, I want to mention Their showers were the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground

After staying at the very worst IHG hotel ever, we passed through here on our way home and booked a night at a very reasonable rate Cheapest during our 10 nights away from home We were upgraded to a king suite that we did not even request

Everything was clean and in good repair Emily, the front desk clerk, was super friendly and went the extra mile to leave a personalized note on our key room envelope telling us the amount of points we have and wishing us a Happy Memorial Day Emily may be young but is a huge asset to your company This was a much better experience and renewed our faith in the brand Thank you, Emily Your kindness was needed at that moment more then you can ever imagine Let no one dim your light!

The staff was very nice but the hotel was horrible It was dirty and broken My room smelled of mold and mildew

After settling in for the evening I took off my shoes and my bare feet got filthy black from the dirty carpet The love seat was so stained and dirty, I was scared to sit on it I inspected the bed very closely though and it appeared to have clean linens and no bed bugs The bed was very uncomfortable Breakfast was cereal, waffles and coffee But judging from the rest of the hotel I was afraid to eat the food The vending machines were empty or out of order I booked online so my money was nonrefundable or I would have left and went to a different hotel for the night

Hitchman Homestead

So incredibly noisy There appeared to be a lot of long term residents in this property We listened to the TV next door and our neighbors boisterous conversation until 2 AM

I normally love microtel They have comfortable beds and pillows, clean and good amenitiesThis property was a disappointmentWe ended up in an ‘accessible’ room – which just meant the shower head had no bracket Would’ve been nice to take a real shower, but no luck

Lisa Bray

First I will say that the gentleman at the counter was nice and informative, so the only staff I dealt with was pleasant The room, on the other hand, was not I stayed because it was booked online

Accidently booked a smoking room and was not allowed to change it, so can’t complain too much about the smell Got a room with 2 beds and only gat 1 towel, no hand towels or wash clothes Room was dirty Floor was sticky Trash from previous guests was on the floor in the bathroom What I assume was a smoke alarm was broken Lights above the bed were very dusty, dust bunnies hanging off, and some of the lights did not work I didn’t think I would leave a review, but when the coffee maker is broke, completely missing the tray that holds the little coffee pouch, I’m no longer even content

What a welcomed relief when my husband and I walked into the lobby of this hotel! In March, 2022, we had two long days of travel and the previous night we stayed in a hotel that charged us an additional $7500 to keep the room clean! It was refunded, but this item was not listed on their website Heather, at the front desk of Comfort Inn, understood how tired we were and gave us one of their best rooms

She even greeted us by name the next morning! Another employee there also was friendly and asked if there was anything they could do for us Thank you both! Our room was clean and the neighbors were quiet Thank you Meridian Comfort Inn for fantastic hospitality!

Jessica Gorman

If I could give this place negative stars, I would I’m generally not one to leave a review, as we typically only stay for one night and get back on the road to our destinationTo start, check in went pretty quick

I did have to pay a deposit, the amount of which was grossly misrepresented by the site I used to book this room AND the company’s own website Hotelscom stated a $50 cash deposit, which I was prepared to pay The choice hotels website stated that a $50 deposit was required for cash paying customers, of which I was not Not only did I wake up to a fraudulent charge on my account this morning, it was for $60, which was an amount never even brought forth, ever, at any point during any transaction Deceptive business practices are not a good look during a recession, especially in nowhere MississippiAnother calculated misrepresentation is that of their rooms Again, I booked thru hotelscom, as I have for many years Never has a room been as disappointing or subpar as this I booked a king room with a pull out couch I checked, double checked, and checked one more time to be sure that I had done so Lo and behold, we arrive to one king sized bed, a single chair with an ottoman, and a bench No pull out couch in site We went to the front desk to request a roll away bed, at which point we were told that they usually charge for these Seeing as how we shouldn’t have needed the extra bed, the desk clerk on duty said she would leave a note for management explaining this, to avoid the extra charge I can only assume the $60 fraudulent charge on my credit card this morning included $10 for the rollaway bed Bait me with a reasonable room rate, I arrive expecting what I paid for (in advance-never again!), only to find that I’ll be charged an extra $10, effectively increasing (or switching, if you will) my room rate to $129 a nightWe are an army family, my husband is active duty This will be our first trip home to visit family together in close to 5 years We are on a budget, and it’s tight Don’t fall victim to these crooks that manage this establishment

We had some inconveniences-our room overlooked the interstate and we could hear the noise of the trucks at night Our blinds also wouldn’t close the first night However, they fixed it immediately and our fan we travel with drowned out the street noise

We would stay here again because the staff was incredibly friendly-all of them The hotel is dated, but it was spotless! So so clean The free breakfast was also really good It had great variety, and it was all delicious The hotel halls were quiet and also very clean Overall, a great stay and perfect for staying with kids

Jess Hogg

Check-in was easy, the parking lot felt safe and well lit, and the outdoor areas looked nice The room was comfortable and clean and the couch bed was easy to set up Their breakfast bar was well stocked and offered a good selection

The shower was a little grimy, and the staircase smelled of smoke, but otherwise, this was a very comfortable overnight stop No concerns

Kyle Enochs

I came in to ask for a room in person, because my phone had died on a long, late drive, and was told the hotel was full Fair enough, no problemI asked to use a wall outlet just long enough to check availability at nearby hotels and was refused and told had to leave immediately

I’ve never left a negative review before, but I’ve also never had a business so unwilling to show even a modicum of respect or kindness towards a potential customer

Wow, what an awesome stay Clean facility, attentive and friendly front desk staff Quiet

After a long trip it was nice to end my day in the bar with a nice drink The restaurant was awesome I hope I’m getting her name right because she deserves much praise The waitresses name was “Shameisha,” incredible woman who appeared to work the restaurant solo With the level of guest coming and going, she never lost her smile, she checked to make every guest was happy and having a good time My coffee mug was never empty, she made all of us feel like we were specialWe are returning in March, with friends, in route to New Orleans, I can’t wait

LaRie Lindsey

We arrived from Texas with our family of 5 to find out they gave our room away to someone else The solution you might ask? A room with one king bed and one twin roll away, so you can imagine how comfortable we were The room was FILTHY with what was CLEARLY bodily fluids DRIPPING down the the bed skirt

I have pictures! And you can forget about a hot shower The water was cool to lukewarm, AT BEST The mattress was UNCOMFORTABLE! It sunk down in the center of the bed and had us feeling like we were fighting to keep from rolling into the middle all night The air was unreliable and we woke up sweating in the middle of the night because it wouldn’t turn on The breakfast vouchers that were supposed to be included in our trip were not given to us until we asked about it at breakfast the next morning We were given a room with only 3 towels even though there were clearly more in our party When my daughter went downstairs to ask for more towels the next morning she was told they would bring them up Why could they not just hand them to her? Who knows We waited over and hour and decided to share towels because we had places to be and could not wait any longer We left the room with a do not disturb sign on it as we did not want any house keeping We come back and what do ya know? They went ahead and went in anyway? Who are we to expect privacy!?! Not a paying customer…😁 We won’t be back If I were you I’d look elsewhere Hey but on a positive note, they didn’t have any bugs!

Daniel L

Beautiful lobby Room was good size and clean I think there is an AC unit on the roof above me cause it was noisy

Had big problem downstairs Shipped two cases to this location and, after about 30 min of haggling with staff n looking up shipping confirmation, they found one case in a hallway broom closet There was another minor problem with charging my credit card separately for breakfast Breakfast was good though 👍 Other than the noise and a loose shower knob and shower head that needs CLR, room seems good

Car haul friendlyI got a 75 foot truck, so I can clear a few more things than some trucks, but I had no issues (aside from a weirdly parked suv) getting into this place and parked Even with some potholes, no bottoming out happenedChecking in was the fastest I’ve ever experienced

Total for a Friday was 78 and some change, so I didn’t even need to call in about my company hotel card The place is clearly old, just look at the attached photo That being said they’ve clearly taken steps to try and keep this place in line with modern times, there’s a lot of new paint and much of the amenities are clean and fresh My sheets were clean, my towels didn’t have weird stains on them, and overall the room was well taken care ofWeirdly there’s actual space under the bed It was filthy under there, these beds don’t get moved for cleaning I found an old portable battery, at full charge amusingly, just left under there by a previous guest The floor could use a mopping in some spots perhaps, but it’s not bad by any meansIt’s a good spot I’ll be here again

Sonnett De La Rosa

I got a double bed room for $93 a night When we first went to our room it wasn’t done

Explained to staff and after being told how grouchy my husband was, after driving 11 hours was moved to another room My room was filthy Had hair in the bed floors weren’t even swept Just totally hated my stay should have slept in our truck Oh and man standing outside asking for ride and cigarettes, my favorite partWould not recommend this place

The front desk lady was kind and helpful We slept well The bed was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy

Here is why I gave it a 1 star:Carpet had not been vacuumedThe microwave was dirty on the outside and clean on the outsideThe refrigerator was clean on the inside but dirty and sticky on the outsideI washed the coffee pot before I used itThe mirror in bedroom was dirty and streakedThe curtains were dirty and water stainedThe air conditioner cooled some Thankful that we had brought a fanIt needs paint and updatesWe knew we were not staying in a fancy place but the room should have been cleanedWe will not be staying at a Days Inn againWe had a similar experience last year at a Days inn

Andrew Snell

It was a place to stay for the night I would not want to stay here longer than that The rooms were a little old

The parking lot was well lit, and I was grateful for that Some of the other guests were a little loud As of March 2022, breakfast was still suspended due to the pandemic Snacks and juice were available to-go The staff were friendly and helpful After check-out, I noticed that my credit card had three pending charges, but that was sorted out within a few days I probably wouldn’t want to pay more than $80 for a night $70 was pushing it

J. Spidle Sr

Very old run down facility Rooms are clean but not very nice Lighting was good in parking lot and the front desk lady was very friendly and professional, which is why I rated it a 3-star and not a 2-star

They are still using Covid as an excuse not to serve the normal hot breakfast, even though no one working there or staying there were masked up I would be shocked if this place is even open in another year

The campground operator was polite, professional, and efficient Campground late check in information was provided via email and was very thorough Sites were level on concrete pads and clean

Campground is small but quiet and well-maintained Very affordable and felt safe Full Hookups were very “legit,” with 90psi pressure requiring pressure regulator Electric and internet were very satisfactory

Annette Turner

Zero stars is what is needed here The campground manager/owner is the problem The campground is nice but the campground manager/owner lacks the most basic people skills and customer service

We were quoted a monthly rate for a three week stay and quoted a price for that rate When we went in to pay for it he rudely denied ever saying that and then told us to just to leave, kicking us out of his campground because we were holding him to his word We traveled HOURS here for a serious medical issue with our parents and he knew that He insisted we would pay the full monthly rate even though the price was over $100 what he had quoted me This was all after the camping spot he had promised to give us was given to someone else who paid by credit card when he strongly urged us to just pay in cash when we arrived on our original call Complete unprofessionalism He sat there arguing with us about this looking like he had just crawled out of the bed This place will never make it if they treat their customers this way One other bad rating said BEWARE I completely agree Do be fooled by the exterior provisions The management of this place is what deserves this low rating He needs some serious remedial training in people skills and good customer service I cannot stand to do business with someone who lies and refuses to honor their word

Feedback From Real Customers

Sarah Harwood

So we read reviews that said it was renovated Umm no They did paint the walls

However it was a very dirty hotel My feet were black after walking on the floor Woke up this morning and turned over pillow to find the previous visitors makeup all over the pillows So… sheets were not changed The sheets also had cigarette burns It is also not a good neighborhood I would not stay here again
