Updating from my review when I started my stay: Even though they responded to this review, it looks like the response was purely performance They never really made any effort to improve For example, room service didn’t visit my room until my last night there

First night: I am just starting my stay, so they have time to recover Yet, first impressions are important They did not have enough staff to handle check-in The rooms are tiny (but modern) Ordering room service my first night(when I was admittedly tired from traveling) did not go well

Horrible experience We were given no information at check in No information in the rooms and no directions on how to get on WiFi

Tried calling front desk and no one ever picked up Air conditioner didn’t work, had to call from our own cell phones the main line which took forever – got the run around and eventually had to physically go down stairs to try to talk to someone We wanted two queens, but the beds were smaller (full?) They gave no information about things to do in the city It was a maze trying to get to our room from the parking garage No microwave in the room No freezer in the mini fridge We were definitely less than impressed

Very nice rooms and service Parking is a bit inconvenient unless you use the valet As getting there involves going through the mall or outside and up a steep ramp

Food was excellent Also, there are plenty of nice little eateries and bars within a few blocksIf your thing is shopping, there is the city center mall attached to the back of the hotelWi-Fi service was good, but using your phone as a key was a bit iffy Stop at the desk and get a key card just in case

WARNING- Food safety procedures at the breakfast bar are not safeOverall the hotel was fine Rooms were clean

Ate breakfast from the hot table on the breakfast bar and within 2 hours I was HORRIBLY sick Manager insisted that nobody else had complained Talked to someone else who had stayed at the hotel and eaten the same thing but left town that day and they had also gotten sick when they got home Of course the manager isn’t going to tell you that others complained when someone gets sick on their watchThe price is fine and for the most part the hotel is clean I wouldn’t roll the dice with the hot breakfast anymore

Rachel Bounds

We stay here often They are reasonably priced Rooms are always clean and comfortable

Staff is friendly I just got stranded on a flight in another state They refunded my money 100% two days after I was suppose to have stayed with them, even though I had not canceled in advance This Quality Inn and Suites will continue to get my business!

This hotel is beautiful and well maintained! The staff in the Cosmos bar in the evening (Angel, Rose, and Greg) were so wonderful and great to talk to The valet staff was superb!! The breakfast staff was attentive and the food was delicious! The entire facility was clean- housekeeping staff does a great job!! I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful every staff member was! Everyone was very professional!

Cady Sever

It was a beautiful hotel but they were also hosting professional soccer players and we did not feel we were treated like we were as important as the other guests We arrived for our honeymoon, which was noted in the reservation by our travel agent and we didn’t even hear a congratulations from the staff I would not say that anything was bad, it was a lovely hotel overall but for 4 star accommodations, we will book elsewhere in the future

Chrystal Caruthers

So, this is supposed to be a higher end hotel Don’t be fooled Initially I was in room 803 with sight lines of the air conditioning systems on the roof just next door

The buzz kept me restless all night The next day I requested a change Now, room 1616 was totally fine Quite, airy, bright all the things you expect Even the shower system was better — multiple body sprays versus one in the lower level room So the disparate room situation aside the doorman at night is a nightmare to deal with A simple question begets sarcasm and riddles Asked if I could park on the street overnight, he told me to read the sign I did Again, is it legal to park on the street, I’m not from here and the sign only says to feed the meter between certain hours In Chicago, street parking is tricky It takes a native to interpret Finally I decide to park for free just outside the hotel doors and pay the meter starting at 8am I saved that $50/night hotel parking fee He was speechless when I approached the hotel with my room key to enter Terrible I wouldn’t stay there again no matter how discounted the rate is The Keurig didn’t work The shower has peeling tape (room 803), the very old bathroom TV doesn’t work and I’m still not sure why it’s situated opposite the toilet, but that’s another story Oh, and Room 803 had broken glass in the bathroom when I checked in Housekeeping had to come clean it up This place is a mess

Simple hotel Great prices Even better staff

They went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant stay They have entertainment so I could get out of my room without getting dressed up to go anywhere Rooms are modern and fun Check-in was a breeze Most hotels in the city don’t have free parking and Moxy is no exception, but street parking was easily available I felt safe my entire stay I couldn’t have picked a better cost effective hotel for my stay I will be staying here in the future

Jerell Jones

We enjoyed our stay in the green room at the Moxy Got locked out of our room and staff couldn’t get us in to enjoy our bed sadly – but the night was still spectacular Luckily, there was a bed in the living room (which we did not mind, but it sucked paying a lot of money to sleep in the living room)

Mind you, the staff did offer a different room for us to sleep in, but we didn’t take the offer Had a birthday party and our friends were definitely impressed by the room and hotel overall! RECOMMEND!

Kim Pollack

Overall this is an adequate hotel We stayed two nights The room was clean and the bed was comfy

However the choice to spend money on useless room decor (namely electric guitar and amp) in exchange for typical amenities you find in a hotel was a waste in our minds Having an in room refrigerator, cups and available parking would have made for a better stay Sure the complimentary cocktail and live jazz was a nice touch The website speaks of cost for parking…but it isn’t near the hotel or associated with it The surprise after a 12 hour drive wasn’t well received All that said you’ll find this hotel adequate but trying too hard to be something it isn’t

The rooms are just so beautifully done, bar tender is great and can make any cocktail you requestBut two nights when I couldn’t sleep, Bri was at the front desk at 1am both times to ring me up for a late night snackHer energy is beautiful and infectious

Middle of the night and this girl has me smiling and laughing and she just makes you feel like everything is greatHer customer service is something that is rarely found these days This property is an A+ in my book— from the front desk, to the personnel, to the rooms, I can’t wait to come back

Phillip Hagerty

great pool table and shuffle board but the breakfast is minimal and a security person came into my room at 1am unlocked the door and walked in on me The rooms are fine but it’s trying to be ‘trendy’ by giving you more colors but less nice amenitiesUpdate: formerly gave 2 stars but the management reached out and rectified the situation Very pleased with their way of handling the situation

Dave Senter

Fine hotel, nice rooms, comfortable bed, small refrigerator Limited parking available, but it’s pricey Continental breakfast items for sale along with 2-3 hot breakfast plates

Decent bar available at 5 pm, but no restaurant Limited restaurants within walking distance Driving to restaurants or bars in the area is an option, but then there’s the parking problem Metered street parking is available if you can find an open spot Uber is good but prices vary substantially by time of day and demand level from surrounding events Walking distance to the stadium

This is a very clean, well run hotel with accommodations in like new conditions Everything was really clean, kept up and the service was outstanding and very friendly and customer focused This will be my hotel of choice when I stay in Minneapolis

The breakfast meal was very quick and had really good choices for a hotel restaurant, buffet and menu The service at breakfast was really friendly cheerful and quick Dinner menu lacks variety and the bar well it is a hotel bar in the city Prices for drinks a little steep Overall a great choice To be clear this is not a five star hotel, but for the type and tier hotel it is, you can’t find better

David Dobrindt

Location is great That’s the best I can say about this hotel They won’t service your room

Even if you call down in the morning before leaving for the day and they say they will take care of it, they won’t service your room Parking is 22 a day and the garage is full at night so if you get back after 8 or 9 you have to park in a lot nearby and walk I am a lifetime diamond and travel 3 weeks a month, loyal Hilton customer, usually very patient but a number of other things added to my issues with this location There is a HI and Home2 close so will try those next time

A Photos

The rooms were clean, housekeeping was great But and it might seem petty but their was no continental breakfast or coffee The manager on duty blamed employees not showing up, which in todays society I completely understand

But there needed to be some sort of compensation, we even got charged for an Orange juice and water which sounds petty, but as a Hilton Honors member, you need to do better It’s not our fault you didn’t have employees show up, but when we booked we expected breakfast as part of our deal

Super great stay We spent a couple days here after our wedding reception Kristen and Angel were extremely attentive staff members, amongst many others who helped make our stay that much more comfortable and wonderful

Rooms were comfortable and had a great view – rooms were stocked well with plenty of amenities Very convenient location (walking distance to target field/center, downtown) ample parking in underground garage, located in a mall Hope to stay here again soon

Jackie Lauren

My husband and I stayed here for a night on the day of our wedding (June 25th) and had such an incredible experience We ended up being upgraded to the presidential suite and the room was beautiful! So spacious and had a great view Easily the best hotel room we have ever stayed in

Also wanted to add that the woman who checked us in was so sweet and genuinely excited for us! Overall had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again Thank you for making our stay so special!

Christina Nicole

My sister was visiting from NC so we opted to stay in the city for the weekend (4/8-4/10) We literally chose this hotel for the view and location I reserved our room a month in advance and added our reservation to the list for a 16-19 floor room with a view

However, when we arrived and I asked for a higher floor, I was given room 1456 which had a north view with a very tall building right across the street (I could barely see the top of it w/o putting my face on the window) and another tall dark building behind it, off center to the left There were several very noticeable stains on the floor and ottomans The shower was turned so tightly we both had trouble turning it on I had to hit it repeatedly to break it loose When we called the front desk for help we were told it would be 30-60 minutes for someone to come help There were gnats in the shower and it wasn’t until we showered that we realized why the water took forever to drain! By the end of my 30 minute showers I was in ankle deep water, wading in my own crud The ice drawers in the hall way had a bag of ice in them that was torn open, I’m assuming to take a cup at our own risk? We opted not toRoom service was very quick When we first arrived and checked in, I asked for extra towels and the awesome room service beat me to my room with them! I complained about none of this during our stay because we were busy exploring Minneapolis and St Paul before I leave for good However, I did email the hotel so they will hopefully resolve these issues for future guests!I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1 due to the location and ease or parking (very safe, gated underground ramp) Otherwise, I’m highly disappointed in the quality of this hotel

My stay at the Hyatt was wonderful The front desk clerks Julie and Natalie were a great help throughout my stay I arrived earlier than expected and was allowed early check-in

The hotel was nice and quiet I rarely saw anyone and was beginning to think I was alone on my floor It didn’t bother me because I was able to catch up on much needed rest The rooms were nice and clean You have to ask for housekeeping if you would like your room cleaned everyday The walk to the Convention Center is about 5-7 minutes I would definitely stay again

Leonard Tao

As an individual traveller room type usually not my concern But bathroom means a lot in my travel experience The standard room of Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis is spacious and contain both shower and bathtub

Double sink is a plus consider some hotels positioned higher than Hyatt Centric don’t have that But the most impressive part is people All the staffs were very helpful and friendly! If I come back to Minneapolis again I would definitely choose this place to stay

Malorie Polk- Miller

This was a wonderful hotel! The rooms and property were very clean The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful Food is nearby and entertainment is walkable

I would recommend this place especially for business staysThe only con I have is the parking situation Typical downtown parking where it’s around the corner or up the street in a small parking deck

Stayed here for a convention My room had bugs Woke up with bites in multiple places

The location was convenient with access the convention center The service is exceptional by some employees The hotel restaurant hosts and servers were exceptional A certain bartender who I won’t name needs some etiquette and costumer service training due to her dismissive behavior The manager did remedy the issue quickly

Harry “Burge” Burgess

DON’T PAY STANDARD PRICEFirstly, I had quite a big discount and was able to split the cost with a friend If this wasn’t the case I don’t feel this would be worth itThe foyer is extremely nice and fancy

The facilities are goodRoom was old-fashioned but nice Clean bathroom and room in-generalIf you’re receiving anything it’ll cost $7 per parcel which is one thing that wasn’t advertisedAnother was that they take a $600 security deposit until your stay is over They put a hold on your card I believe which gets released a few days afterAll-in-all it was a nice stay but the standard price is extremely expensive for what you get

Rooms are ok Staff is great Surrounding area is perpetually filled with homeless and random people that blast music and harass pedestrians

We stayed here for a week and the women in our group didn’t feel comfortable walking back alone… and I don’t blame them considering I wouldn’t have felt safe walking alone either, especially dressed in business attire

Ghazanfar “GJ” Abidi

Spacious and clean room King bed was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids (laying perpendicular); didn’t even use the sofa bed Kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with cutlery and appliances

Thermostat was stuck on 67f, so it got a bit chilly at nightGood location downtown Could walk to most places we were there forThe parking lot to use is the La Salle lot, not Bancorp

Scott Claeson

Horrible experience Heat went out first night No space heaters and had to wait late into the morning for a fix blowing cold air all night in the middle of winter

Told wrong times on breakfast Then showed up 15 mins before close next morning and said nothing left One staff member in particular was incredibly rude I left 2 stars because they have nice city views from the rooms It’s not worth being there though you’re in one of the more dangerous areas of the city, trust me Plus my dead bolt lock didn’t work on my room They didnt care about any of it and then charged me extra cleaning fees when I didnt even get the check out time advertised I feel like I’ve been scammed and it felt like a dirty cheap motel Marriott should drop this dump from their name I’ve been to dozens of different hotels and this is one of the worst in the city Go to Marriott City Center a few blocks down instead if you really want to be in that area, or if you need the full kitchen go to Marriott TownePlace Suites in North Loop Avoid this place, you’re welcome

Staff is AMAZING From the front desk to the shuttle service (not only will they offer you a ride to the clinic – when you need it – they will also take you to a restaurant so you don’t have to drive!) Special shout out to Marquez who noticed the first place he took us was closed – he then drove us to several other places until we found one that worked AND he picked us up – with a fabulous attitude throughout The hotel is absolutely clean and feels safe

I absolutely recommend this hotel

C. Asuncion

If you’re a solo female traveler, I highly recommend this hotel The area feels totally safe and you need an access card to even enter the hotel I noticed that there are cameras on the floor that I stayed in which made me feel even safer

Getting around-wise, it is less than 400 feet away from the tram, which takes you to either Downtown Minneapolis or St Paul and other places around the city I stayed for a World Cup Qualifier match and I took the tram from the hotel to Allianz Field It took approximately 20 min There’s a grocery store nearby too I disliked their breakfast but I didn’t really expect much from it anyway They keep coffee and water out for guests all day Hotel was quiet and staff was very helpful

Modern hotel near train stop, handy Rooms were very nice with no ambient light leaking and glowing everywhere Big window and super comfortable beds with a good A/C unit as well

Rooms very quiet too Only downside no drawers for clothes, just closet and two shelves Bathroom small and efficient and not sure if all are the same but in mine, if you were someone who brings a lot of stuff to put in the bathroom, you’ll have trouble Restaurant had a very nice breakfast, cooked to order, reasonably priced for a hotel The game room was fantastic! Ping Pong and other things to do – and we used it too! Gym looked nice (great owl murals on wall) but we didn’t get to use it Staff very pleasant all around, and good security Can’t get past main entry door without key so not anyone can hang around lobby

Bruce Buerger

Room decor and functions were a very different experience that what I’ve had at other hotels Lots of electrical outlets but no drawers for clothes No closet either but large functional art piece on the wall to hang items

Everything was comfortable Told the front desk person about something we saw and were surprised by getting offered a drink ticket instead of an offer to move us Bartender was really good Impressed with his infused liquors

Lucian Torres

Nice Hotel, clean areas, the room have a nice size, the bed is comfy, bathroom was clean and with enough space, big LG TV, Fridge, Safe box, big window, and the front desk lady was very kind The only thing they need to do better is for the parking spaces, when I get there, they already doesn’t had parking space, all of them was busy I needed to park in a private parking in the next street, not so bad

Great location with restaurants and stores all around you and not far from the city What made this place stand out was the FREE breakfast This was the best quality FREE breakfast I have ever had at a Hilton brand and the Chef was so friendly and accommodating

Hotel is fairly new and it shows Parking is ample and the indoor pool was fun for the kids

An ideal location in Edina It is right off a busy thoroughfare The busy street noise though, is not heard in the room

It is good and quiet for a wonderful sleep 😴 The room has enough space to move around and enjoy your time in the room itself Thete is a nice size refrigerator and a microwave for those who want to prepare their own meals And a work out room (small but you can still get a sweat going) right next to a medium size pool There is shopping area close by, as well as a grocery store I had a great stay and will be coming back

Very modern design and decor and accessories very business birth causer and business birthing person friendly LolThe pool room does not have a hot tub much to my chagrin and the smell of chlorine is quite over powering causing irritation to the eyes and lungsBreakfast is pretty good, no pancake or waffle maker

Big disappointment! Coffee choices are available throughout the dayThe rooms have a toaster oven annnnd a microwave very nice and a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, cabinets full of crockery, drawers have flatware, same colorful wall decor very modern European bright colorsVery convenient to shopping, exercising and other eatery choices

We stayed there last week and the room and hotel were nice However, the service we have received was less than what we have ever gotten at a Hilton brand hotelAn item was left there on accident and we called within an hour of leaving and left a message with housekeeping and the front desk about where the item was left

No one followed up with us on if they had found it or not I called the next 3 days each and got no responses i was transferred to corporate who said they would escalate the case and find out why i was never contacted Several days later after hearing nothing again, i emailed corporate and they said it would have to be handled at the hotel since it fell under lost and foundI would have been content if someone called and said they were looking for it or could not find it But it has been 9 days since our stay we i have still received no communication from the hotelWe have stayed at Hilton hotels many times and have been overall pleased with the experience in the past However, I would not recommend staying at this particular location It will meet your needs if you just need a room to stay and want appropriate service during your stay If you are looking for good service before and after your stay, i would encourage you to find a different hotel

Check in was a breeze Be aware there is a $50 refundable deposit but that is typical Room was clean, spacious, & modern

Unfortunately there was maintenance being done on the pool & hot tub during my stay Affordable for Hilton if you book through a 3rd party site I don’t really have anything bad to say about this place My stay was amazing!

I paid about the same amount to stay at the Holiday in as I did here and definitely would go with Holiday in instead The double tree does not provide free breakfast in the morning like Holiday in didHoliday inn has a big breakfast selection and really good! Fresh fruits, juices, and healthy stuff

Also the hot tub was down so I took stars away for that Also they had barely any channels 😕On a positive note for Double Tree, I liked that double Tree was close restaurants, shopping, theater and groceries stores though!

This Holiday Inn Express is the finest 3 star I have experienced!Amenities that I have come to expect still exist here Such as a hot breakfast, all the options we want, including fresh fruit The entire place was clean and organized, not cluttered or run down

Super nice pool and hot tub Which is open late I especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace and grounds areas Never had to search for a parking spot Lots of restaurants choices to choose from A large grochery store and convenient store in the immediate area Location is prime It feels secluded and safe but still only minutes from downtown Minneapolis I return here just for a nice get away Price is absolutely fair, honestly its amazing to find this gem Always treated with respect

I have stayed at this HIE before – pre covid – and came back again Pretty good Close to downtown and easy to get to from the highway

Variety of restaurants just across the street Fairly quiet – some noise from the highway but not too bad Decent breakfast included Free parking is always a plus My only issue is the hotel seemed damp Not sure why but it could use a dehumidifying system to dry it out

Location is amazing, it’s so close to everything downtown and it’s literally on 7 Corners Our room did have outlet issues which was really annoying There was only one outlet in the bathroom and the plugs would must slide out

There were also X4 sub ports and all 4 of them wouldn’t charge anything Otherwise the beds were comfortable and again location is keyParking is separate and is $17 overnight or $22 through the hotel is you need to go in and outThere is no signage letting you know you can’t get to the hotel from the parking garage elevator This threw us and others for a loop

The physical space is very nice and clean I’m giving a low rating because wifi was difficult to connect to and was not reliable at all Most of the time I had to use my data plan

The front desk didn’t seem to care when I told them about the problem For the expense of staying at this location, I don’t think it unreasonable to expect reliable connectivity and staff that cares about customer service
