Great location and fantastic home! We came to town with 7 couples and enjoyed our weekend in this beautiful old/new home! The upstairs is historic with a huge kitchen with a commercial stove The lower house is fully contained as well It is new- but still has some amazing “vintage” touches

The backyard deck and flower gardens are a great place to gather as well We walked just a few blocks to the Farmers Market that is open on Saturdays I would definitely stay here again!

Restful, lightfilled lower level Wonderful book on Matisse in the bookshelf What has to be my favorite shower- walk-in with glassblock wall and a real window

Plenty of elbow room and nice bath products and towels I slept well in a huge bed with three window open Good kitchenette and living room Two families visiting for a baby shower shared the gracious space Nice tree-lined streets to walk through and just blocks from the Moscow Farmer’s Market

While I did not end up staying here due to some (fortunate!) unforeseen circumstances, both managers have been absolutely wonderful in helping me get a complicated long-term reservation set up (thanks Mariah!) as well as cancelling it when I needed to (thanks Bill!) They were both so kind, and helpful, and I truly appreciate their efforts; I’d recommend staying here to anyone who might need to just to help support these two wonderful people

I booked this hotel through Orbitz and it wasn’t until I got to the hotel, after more than 5 hours of driving on a weekend where all hotels in the area are completely booked, I found out the hotel is closed The hotel was still accepting bookings but never sent anything out to anyone with a booking that they were closed Now I’m stuck in the area without a hotel and no idea where I’m going to stay

The owner acted like it wasn’t her fault and was completely unprofessional

Because of the wifi service The room was very nice, the best bedding I’ve seen for this price But, the TV didn’t worked and when I asked about it they said the power strip was probably off, which was dead-center behind a 200lb piece of furniture on the floor

There was no way to get at it without moving the entire TV, console, microwave, etc But, that wouldn’t be the case in every room THE MAIN ISSUE was the wifi The whole reason I got a room was to get in some uninterrupted hours of work on the internet The wifi connection would work for 5min and then stop, I’d try to reconnect, eventually it would reconnect, work for 5min and quit again I called the desk, she reset the router– same problem, never changed This hotel has great potential to do very well, the rooms are beautiful for a good price– but, this wifi problem will keep anyone from coming back, and they’ll tell their friends Fix that and you’ve got a great hotel

I stayed at Nendel’s for three weeks on a work trip this is kind of a long review after the first week of them coming in to only make the bed without cleaning anything, i asked for the bathroom at least to be cleaned

that did not happen some days later i reminded them on the bathroom specifically the toilet, and still nothing the second weekend when the cleaning staff came in, made the bed and left the garbage bin full i asked her for the toilet stick, as i was sick of the situation and regrettably could not move to another hotel she gave me the stick for cleaning the toilet, i then proceeded to ask her for a bag to put it in after use, and asked if she would be kind enough to also give me the cleaning liquid i must mention that the stick was brand new and looked like it has never before been used the cleaning liquid’s seal was still intact to she helped me to open it after cleaning my own toilet i returned the stick in the bag, with the liquid to her, and thanked her when i told this to another of the staff she promised me that was not the norm, and that she will come the following day to clean herself that did not happen my bathroom was cleaned two days later although the floor was not, nor was the rug that was the only time the bathroom was cleaned in three weeks towels were changed regularly and the bed was made each day, but when i asked them to change the linen after the first week, they only changed the bottom one, not the pillows or the top one when i asked at the reception another of the staff (Amanda) told me that is what changing the linen meant, only the bottom one, and that i should ask for a new set if i wanted it changed other than that the breakfast served has nice cereal, bread and peanut butter, which was fine by me, but the coffee is served in two thermoses and they only make one when one is finished so in the middle of the week it was standing there for two or three days, and was cold asking them to make new coffee did work, but they stopped being in the reception area in the morning and answering our calls i was with another college and her room was not cleaned once during the whole stay other than that everybody was very polite providing you did not ask for anything, and the restaurant next door “Tokyo Seoul” is very good

Spent a week at this hotel It was a comfortable bed I guess Room was clean

The door did not automatically close like most hotel room doors, so we would forget sometimes and find our door open The closet door in our room was odd and didn’t latch very well The pool/jacuzzi was out of service The treadmill gave me shin splints because the belt was lose One washing machine and one dryer workingdryer took a two dry cycles Breakfast was descent Staff were friendly but always hiding in the back room I think if you hear the front door open you should automatically get up I think if everything was operational this score would be a 4 star rating, if the sausage at breakfast was somehow pan fried and a bit crispy on the outside it would be a 5

Talia Trujillo

I was very disappointed with my stay The people managing the hotel were not nice at all except one person and she was amazing The shower in my room sucked so my teammates and I went to someone else’s room and that shower sucked as well

None of the shower’s pressure was at least decent, the water took 20 minutes to warm up and even then the water was barely warm Lastly, the breakfast was horrible Eating well is very important for an athlete and we were there for an important gymnastics competition There was practically nothing to choose from There were two choices or cereal and I had no idea where the milk was The waffle maker did not work well at all The batter stuck to the pan and took a long time to take out I do not recommend this hotel to anyone Very disappointed

Kae Merrill

I have usually had great experiences with La Quinta hotels in other places but not this time I made reservations way ahead of time and upon arriving found out the swimming pool and hot tub were out of order I feel like I should have been notified of this prior to arrival so I could have made other arrangements

Our room was dirty and I even had to call someone to come clean our bathtub If you are booking to stay for relaxing, make sure you are not in between people who have dogs or the end suite with people who have screaming children until 2 am it was a nightmare our window didn’t lock and the paramedics and fire dept showed up early Saturday morning, and I would just not recommend their coffee or breakfast Wish I could get my money back Expensive lesson learned

The overall rooms and beds are nice They are comfortable to sleep in and the rooms clean The problems are the sinks are a shower spray and make an absolute mess and do no good

The doors that open to each floor creak so loud you can hear them in your room a ways down the hall Try using some three in one oil and fix that Too easy The breakfast is okay, but not a lot to eat In a pinch we have stayed here a couple times because of price I would say they are not bad

Ashley Tupper

I honestly wouldn’t stay here againFirst they didn’t have any parking in their original designated parking area so my husband had to drop me and the kids off at the front door and park across the streetSecond, when I got up to the room it had an odd smell in it, then I got in the shower and the shower head was funky not working properly 🙃 I ignored that all but then the tub was nasty and the water kept going back and forth from being super hot to super cold! You can’t bathe in a shower comfortably like that! There was also a hole in the wall that looked really suspicious

It would have been nice to know prior to making a reservation that there was construction happening on the building bevause I got woken up early in the morning from banging on the wall right outside our room and my kiddos couldn’t sleep through it either The breakfast wasn’t very eventful either 😕Wish it had been better especially for the price For this kind of hotel I’d expect to pay maybe 70 dollars max Not over 130

Sandra Shaver

Sketchy and dingy hotel for the price The police came to a room down the hall banging on the door for several minutes That guest was evicted (?) We waited in our room for 6 hours for a maintenance man because our TV didn’t work

When he finally arrived after 8:30pm he was rude and informed us he was maintenance NOT a TV repairman The electrical outlets didn’t work and most of the plugs were barely hanging on the wall Very disappointed to see Super 8’s sink so low

Better than expected! One of the brightest spots of the hotel is Linda in the restaurant

she is very professional and hard working She definitely deserves a raise! Shawn at the front desk was also pretty darn cool!! He took care of my last minute needs and I got to meet his beautiful family Would also like to give a shout out to Casey in housekeeping Great job Best Western!

Dominic F Cattadoris

Amazing hotel with tons of awesome amenities Not exactly cheap, however the free breakfast certainly adds value considering it’s actually real food and not just some apples and cerealIt has a gym that overlooks the pool, but I mean really, do people ever use gyms at hotels? We were asking about taxis to get us downtown and they offered to drive us there and even picked us back up late at night

Super awesome of them!Allowed a lake check out and early check in which is why they are a 5 star place in my book, will definitely come back

Sara Martin

Very poor customer service We were charged over $700 for two nights during parent weekend We had a medical emergency and canceled with 72 hour notice

I even offered to provide medical paperwork… They said they were “unable to rent the room out that weekend” and refused to refund any of the money We have been big fans of Best Western, but we won’t be staying here again I am waiting to see how the corporate office handles this Terrible costumer serviceThe last we stayed there the building was very dated tooI would recommend staying somewhere that isn’t a money hungry company, and actually care about their clients

Bedbugs, a gross room, and poor serviceWe booked two nights via a third party then decided to come up earlier so we gave them a call directly and got the Friday night added directly from them, they went ahead and matched the advertised three night rate All seemed fine, we got a confirmation at 3PM for the third party reservation with the new reduced rate and away we went

When we arrived (Around 10PM) we were told they cancelled our reservations when they couldn’t get ahold of us by 3PM because we had booked through a third party They told us they called and left messages, they were given the correct phone number (I checked) and no calls or messages were ever received Having a confirmation for the original two nights I thought they only cancelled the Friday night reservation we made with them directlyWhen I asked why we were being charged $113 for the night I was told the room rate was $99+tax and if we had a complaint we would have to talk to the general manager on Monday The night manager was pretty antagonistic during the whole thing We were tired, we went to our rooms, and fell asleepThe next day we noticed a few things The linens had a red stain on them, the towels had dark spots in them, and the swimming pool was green and had stuff floating in it I don’t expect 5 star accomodations from a Budget motel, but cleanliness shouldn’t be a questionWe woke up about 1PM and found bedbugs, they’d been biting my wife I called the front office and a man named Mike came up and identified that those were indeed bedbugs He was the only genuinely helpful person we talked to there He offered to get us another room but we decided to leave He got us garbage bags for all of our stuff and 6 hours of driving later we got home It took 6 additional hours to wash everything we brought with us to ensure we weren’t bringing bedbugs into our houseI called the General Manager who offered to refund us for the previous night One Night If they were only going to offer one nights refund I wanted to get the first nights overcharge reduced as well Not long after he offered to refund all three nights but we would have to contact the third party and have them contact the hotel The third party that was allegedly cancelled that we were told we were not charged for In addition to that the general manager told us we were charged $79 for the first nightI don’t know if they’re lying to people on purpose, it’s incompetence, or just plain lack of care for their guests but the stories have never added up Canceling reservations for more money maybe? I don’t knowI’ll never stay there again, and unless you want to get bit by some bedbugs neither should you

Rita Lei Ludwig

We stayed at Moscow Idaho location from 5/13/22-5/15/22 During the stay, we did not have hot water for the entire stay I asked the front desk on 5/14 and 5/15 morning

They were friendly but let me know the facility only has one water boiler The boilder is not enough to provide hot water for the entire hotel Sorry but nothing they can do If you do not need hot water for your stay, you might consider this location (Staff is friendly and apologetic Management only said they will investigate but did not reply back)

Nils and Krista are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, and the Peterson Barn is one of the most interesting places you will ever stay I didn’t ask what they do professionally, but if they are not architects/decorators, they have missed their calling! The barn was in interesting combination of rough-hewn structural members and precision woodcrafting The place was spotlessly clean, and the decor was like something that you would see in a high-end design magazine

The barn is located in a residential area within a mile or so of the college campus, but in the evening, it was so quiet and relaxing that it might as well have been situated deep in the woodsAfter staying at the barn, it will be difficult to settle for “normal” hotel/motel accommodations in the future If we have occasion to visit Moscow in the future, we will definitely stay again at the Peterson Barn!

Lee Wassmuth

This place a fantastic experience, not just a place to sleep Hand hewed beams, natural wood everywhere, furnished with genuine antiques, a sleeping loft with two double beds–it is like a step back in time, but with all the modern conveniences The downstairs has a very romantic antique stove converted to gas, with a pretty glass face

The kitchen has a table that seats six, so there is room for lots of people a stock of movies, books, board games–it is so much better than a hotel room Very private, with trees, quail, and bunnies in the yard (They made very quite neighbors) And only a few minutes from U of I Nils and Krista built the place with some help from friends, and decorated it themselves, with many tasteful touches and lots of decorative touches, like gingham chickens and antiques One of the best values in Moscow

David Gonzalez

The Barn is conveniently located, charming inside and very accommodating for individuals or families I enjoyed my time there very much – so much better than any hotel room in town! The only detractor was the approach from the outside There is construction going on so there is a lot of debris and the outside of the Barn is not as kept as the inside, but these are small compared to the homeyness and roominess inside

I will stay there again

My family and I have stayed here EVERY time we’ve come to Pullman Well, unfortunately, all my good experiences were soured by one bad experience My daughter is no longer a student at WSU

Prior to her withdrawing, I had scheduled a room for Mom’s weekend They didn’t call to confirm my stay or email me (because they had no email on file) I was charged $821 for only TWO nights While I understand all hotels charge these exorbitant amounts during these busy weekends, I called to explain the situation and hoped for them to make it right The manager said I should’ve been contacted to confirm my reservation, but because there was no email on file, no one confirmed anything Funny because they could’ve called to confirm my reservation if they saw I didn’t have an email on fileI WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN DUE TO ONE BAD EXPERIENCEWhile I do realize small businesses need to make money (I’m a small business owner too) I will not give this place any more business I will find a different hotel chainRefusing to give me a full refund is BAD businessHIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!

tariana butler

It was great the night host was hospitable, she gave me a bagel because I had a long day The General manager Ron, was amazing the next morning, he took the time to help me (with something he really didn’t have to do) which really made my day Because of his help I was able to get through the day easierThank you Ron!

Katie Carlson

THIS COMPANY STOLE MY PARTNER’S CREDIT CARD INFO AND CHARGED HER WHEN WE DIDN’T EVEN STAY (This exact thing happened with other reviews I’ve now read and the manager’s responses indicate he expects the bank to resolve it – NOT the company at fault This is BLATANT FRAUD

)Made a reservation over the phone and was told we’d receive a booking confirmation email Never did, so we called a few days later to confirm, at which point we were told there was ZERO information saved on our booking date, email, phone number, name – absolutely nothing By then, the situation felt so shady that we ended up booking elsewhere A month later, she was charged for staying at the hotel (not even for the original date we had booked) Called the manager (Ron) who brushed us off completely, took NO accountability, and refused to refund us for the $130 he owed We have now cancelled our credit card and plan to contact the Attorney General and the BBB Do NOT stay with this company unless you have money to lose – they will argue and NOT HELP YOU when their employees steal and their system fails

Such a great location in a very nice community The rooms are clean, modern and the beds are fantasticThe people working there are so friendly

In particular, Ray, one of the midnight staff, is one of the most friendliest people I have ever met If you have the pleasure of seeing him, he will greet you with a bigsmile and accommodate your requests!

Anil Aggarwal

Amazingly Accomodating!!I want to thank Rhonda (general manager) and Kim at the front desk who went above and beyond to help me My wife was staying there with family however, I was not with them My wifes birthday was during this trip and I called the hotel to ask for local flower or gift shops so I could send something to my for her birthday

Instead they made a small gift basket with Happy Birthay Balloon and had in the room for my wife Even after instisting to pay for it they refused and did it on their expense As a silver Elite member of Marriott myself I really appreciate this from the staff at this locationthanks Anil

Todd Scott

The place is kinda dated with 1990’s style casino carpets My bed was terrible and they gave me four pillows that when I laid on them, they were about as fluffy as a pillow case with a package of cotton balls inside The fluff was a lie and when I laid on them, they flattened to nothing

They were so flat that I folded up my sweatshirt and slept on it instead The power for charging devices was also sadly lacking and there were zero USB ports The bathroom is nice but the shower head needs some work as it was spraying all over the place There were some good things The pool looked nice but I didn’t use it Breakfast was good and most important of all, it was over all very clean I would have given 4 stars but the bed/pillow situation really bummed me out and I didn’t sleep very well

We stayed in February and the host was very nice and the rooms were very clean It’s a great lower cost alternative It might be a little outdated, (tiles on bathroom sink, no smart tv, etc) but I don’t plan on spending a lot of time in the room anyways

Beds are super comfortable Right off the two main streets, but I did not hear any traffic noise Nice to be able to walk to dinner I would definitely stay there again

Gretchen Landon

We stayed here on a move in weekend in the pet rooms on the back side of the motel I think those rooms must not be used much due to the dead bugs and stains on the wall The location was good, right downtown which was easier than staying in Moscow or way out in colfax

The non-pet rooms are probably better Easy/fast check in and check out and very friendly
