Love this place! Room is very clean as expected They have a jacuzzi which I haven’t found in many of the hotels I’ve been staying at Also, the rooms have central AC, so no cold air blowing on your head at night

A super bonus is the free drinks on happy hour They have laundry service and dinner! Can’t wait to stay here again The staff are friendly and I’m satisfied There is also a mall with a movie theater across the street

Airyl Reed

Great experience! Hotel staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful The room felt very clean and fit our needs perfectly There was always hot breakfast available (sausage, eggs, biscuits, waffles, etc)

I did use the fitness center and besides the ac being broken it was one of the better hotel gyms I’ve been to Overall a great place to stay if you’re in Charlotte!

This hotel deserves 5 stars for the service alone This hotel provides a full breakfast of home fries, eggs, waffles, sausage patties, biscuits n gravy, and other continental type food The drinks are not only cranberry, orange, and apple juice but also coke products

They also offer you two alcoholic beverages for happy hour (5:30-7) along with a rotation of apps that can serve as your dinner I had pulled pork sliders, along with a baked potato, salad, and nachos They also offered hot dogs, mixed veggies, and fresh popped popcorn The assistant manager was gracious and helpful She was not only directing the traffic of people, she was making sure everyone had what they needed The staff was really customer focused, pleasant, accommodating, and just plain nice The rooms were standard type of rooms but clean and a nice size The hotel is right next to a mall which is walking distance We were there when the hotel was full so the parking was full and some spots were really tight

Jessica Choice

I would have rated higher because it was nice and clean and quiet Conveniently located right off the freeway, reasonably priced, and had a friendly staff My problems were that the door in the back required a swipe of your room key to unlock for safety but it was manually unlocked so anyone could walk in

There were no towels or washcloth in our room and our pillows were small, about the size of a throw pillow on a couch Thankfully I takemy pillow from home everywhere I go

kathy hancock

The room was clean and neat, the beds comfortable and the complimentary toiletries were actually usable The desk clerk, Carolann, checked us in quickly and when asked, she recommended a few good nearby restaurants She was friendly and very helpful

We would stay here again

Ashley Stursa

Our room was dirty and the bed was lumpy/old/uneven I spilled some water on the tile floor and went to wipe it up with a towel and it was a dirty brown I kept wiping the floor and was horrified how dirty it was

Carpet had lots of stains Door didn’t latch to lock properly We were right by the back entrance and all we heard was the door slamming shut Probably one of the worst stays I’ve had, and definitely disappointing for the price Front desk staff was the only saving grace- very friendly and quick

We had a good stay at the Hilton; as we stayed here for two nights to be closer to work during the snow storm The king bed was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nice The room was quiet and had no issues

The big screen TV was nice too Barb at the Bar and Grill was very nice and did an excellent job The whole staff was friendly We enjoyed our stay and am pretty sure we will be staying again in the future

Hollie Bates

I was shocked to see all the 5 star ratings for the hotel when I booked it because that is very rare to find! I stayed her for a business trip and it was one of the nicest/cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in The staff were friendly and helpful The room looked and felt clean and also had the perfect set up

The hotel is close to many resturants and a Target! I also appreciated the well lit parking lot! I felt safe when walking to my car at night and in the morning

Jaimica Wilkins

I stayed here for a 3 day 2 night business trip The lobby is aesthetically pleasing Front desk staff are courteous and attentive

My room was a king room and very spacious I was impressed with the fitness center with exercise equipment, weights, yoga balls, and even a pylo box The hotel is conveniently located with many restaurants and shops close by I will definitely stay here again

Latoria Overstreet

I stayed at this location this weekend for a wedding with my family It was so clean, you could smell and see the cleanliness When I checked in Conner was so nice, funny, and helpful

The staff the next morning was so friendly When I checked out I didn’t get the two young ladies names, but they were so sweet I’m in Charlotte are often so I will be sure to continue to book here Also the location is very convenient Thank you all for making our stay comfortable!!!

Hannah Harr

The location of this hotel is excellent There are many places to eat, auto shops, gas stations, and pharmaciesThe hotel itself is structurally excellent

It is a sleek and modern building with rooms to matchThe downside to this hotel would be the cleanliness The first time I stayed at this hotel my room was exceptionally clean During my second stay, not so much There was hair in the bathroom, trash in the trashcan, and two wet hand towels which we did not useAside from the room the service is very poor There is never any staff at the front desk There was one kind woman who was working the breakfast bar She changed the TV channel for my baby

Mazie Parkmond

This was our first time staying at this location and I was very pleased Everything was clean and the staff was nice The breakfast could have been better, but it was certainly good enough for a hotel

We have had to stay at many hotels lately because of our slack landlord, but I must say that I will be choosing this one from now on

Beautiful hotel with a rich history from its previous history as a bank All of the decor and restoration of the building plays homage to its previous life Our bed was cushy and easy to fall asleep in

The bathroom was beautiful, serene, and there was no concern about it being unclean The receptionist made sure we had clearly explained access to the wifi password, meal times and locations, and rooftop access; she also made lovely restaurant recommendations! I went with a friend who had some physical disabilities and they accommodated her very well and we had easy access to handicapped accessible parking close to the front of the building

Greg Vaughn

Wonderful hotel right in downtown Gastonia Not too far from the intersecting highways and a small drive to Charlotte Douglas airport You own it to yourself to check out this remodeled bank! It maintains some of it originality while being comfortable and cozy

If you get the chance to be on the roof at sunrise or sunset it makes the stay worth it! Simple, quaint rooms with all the basic amenities Barrister’s on the main floor has a great burger and the breakfast in the lower floor is delicious

Katelyn Budke

My husband and I got married at Separk Mansion in May 2022 and reserved room blocks at the Esquire Hotel for ourselves and out of town guests We had the most amazing experience – Cody, Sarah, and the entire staff were all very welcoming, accommodating, and on top of everything From handing out 50 welcome bags to guests at check in to arranging a perfect rehearsal dinner and making sure our bridal party had everything we needed while we got ready in the bridal suite, I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough

I was one of the long-term stay guests at the Residence Inn Northlake Service was SUPER EXCELLENT from day 1 !!!!! I will rate it 10 stars because everything was twice as nice!! All the management and staff are very helpful and they brightened up my day with their ready greeting and smile!! With the length of my stay there, I considered them as family Special mention to Mr

Dave Love, the Sales Manager, for ALL his help and assistance My stay here was the biggest highlight of my temporary move to Charlotte

Vanessa Postel

Alethia is the best! It was such a pleasant experience to check in with her at 130am after 9hrs long on the road! I can’t think of a way she can be better or more lovely The hotel is abit tricky to find if you’re looking for the residence inn sign as the building says another hotel in big letters at top of hotel and one tiny sign for residence inn Other than that, this place is great! Very very clean room/hotel and quiet! Great a/c

Lovely pool and outdoor spaces Accepting of my small dog King Studio amenities are very nice and room is spacious Bed is comfy as well Blackout curtains could be a plus to add Will definitely stay here again!

Brian Coyne

To all of you who travel for a living, avoid this Residence Inn at all costs because they will steal money on your credit card I orginally booked a room until May 5 My project finished early and I was able to leave on Saturday, April 30

They have charged my credit card for the remaining nights up to May 5 The manager refuses to call me back and discuss this I have filed paperwork with my bank to deny these charges In over 40 years of traveling around the country, I have never had a motel steal money from me

Very nice hotel Checking in was easy and quick We liked it wasn’t too far from downtown and other places

The room was a great size and clean, but the room had an old odor to it The lighting was very dim in the room and the bathroom The bed sheets were very clean, and we liked it came with firm and soft pillows, but the bed was a little to hard for our liking The shower had great water pressure and it was nice to have Dove products in the room I would stay here again if I had to, but they really need to work on the odor in the room

Anon

Very nice property I love the renovations However, I had an issue with checking out

When I arrived Friday, the 11-7 desk clerk let me know that as a Gold Elite member I could have a late check out of 1 On Sunday, the rude desk clerk working 7-3 did not want to let me check out that late I had to rush and get out of the hotel because she was threatening to charge me even though I had a late check out I think it’s because I had a rewards night If I would’ve paid full price, then I probably wouldn’t even had an issue So be careful using your rewards at this location

Kerri Murdock

We will start with check in We paid for s suit and was given a room with only two beds They told us it was where we booked fault and there wasn’t anything they could do

So I showed them my confirmation and that I called after making the reservation and conformed with the hotel that we had a suit and they changed us to a suit Our kids were super excited for the pool only to go there and it was green you couldn’t see the bottom and it smelled HORRIBLE! Our rooms weren’t cleaned that well and we only had one towel When we asked for some towels the house keepers seemed annoyed that we were asking Our family is also staying at the hotel and when they went to their room it wasn’t even cleaned They went down to the front desk and they put them in another room that was “cleaned” but I would say maybe the housekeepers spent 5 minutes in there The beds were made but the bathroom wasn’t cleaned and the floors hadn’t been swept vacuumed or mopped Overall this was not the best experience we’ve had

My air conditioning went out at my home in mid July So I had to find a cool place to stay and get remote work done I needed reasonable price, simplicity, cleanliness, quiet, and cool air

I got all I needed I stayed in my room for the majority of the 3 days and got lots of work done I also had 2 doctor appointments, so the location near the hospital was perfect Front desk was incredible (thank you Tasha!) She hooked me up with the bonus rewards plan (that costs nothing to apply) and got a great discount on my stay, and future stays across the country

It’s very sad that I have to write this but this was the worst experience I have experienced at a Holiday Inn, or any hotel for that matter I am a Spire Elite member with the IHG brand I love staying at HI

when I am traveling for work it is my preferred hotel I travel almost every week of the year staying with this brand and I have always been treated right I stayed at this particular location because I am thinking about moving out to North Carolina in the near future so I used all of my points for 6 nights The first night of my stay I realized I was low on towels and needed much more than 2 since my family was staying with me on this vacation of ours When I went downstairs to ask the front desk for more towels I was surprised when they said “they don’t have extra towels” it was very odd because most hotels have an abundance of these items because they are necessary to have in a room Whenever I’m staying at a hotel and ask for extra towels or pillows I always get extra with no hassle I also asked if I could have room service the next day and was told to fill out a request form which I gladly did Next day after we came back from our day out I come back to the room not cleaned at all It was not serviced I went back downstairs and talked to the front desk and told them of the situation and they assured me it would be fixed the next day since room service was no longer on the clock So I filled out my second request form and was assured this one would be given to the room service staff and it would be “urgent” Well after we came back from exploring Charlotte and the outside areas it was late and we walk into the room again not serviced So I went back downstairs upset and told front desk what is going on!? I’m filling out room service forms every night but it’s not being done They apologized and basically looked clueless and played dumb as if they had no idea why it’s not getting serviced They had me fill out another Form!!! And ASSURED me that they will clean it Well I’ll tell you what SIX NIGHTS and my room was NEVER serviced 4 people had to share 2 towels for SIX nights It was the worst stay I’ve ever had with any hotel and the staff at this place could care less Among other issues, the breakfast area pancake machine was broken the entire time, the coffee was almost always empty They were hosting a quince type party in the main meeting room and back of the hotel one night which was blasting music until about 1am one night Hallways were littered with trash and the carpets were always filthyThis hotel is a VERY nice hotel but the staff and management of this place seem to not care about accommodating their guests or doing their job If you are thinking about booking this hotel and actually want basic service and to be able to have clean towels and clean sheets I would advise you to go elsewhere I would never stay at this hotel again and it’s sad that I got this terrible experience on my vacation of all times I will definitely book with Best Western next time I am in Charlotte

Mai forty seven

My family and I stayed in this hotel for just one night, but I was still so impressed! Specifically by the staff who were all so sweet and efficient! The continental breakfast was very nice, and the woman putting it out was so sweet to literally everyone, greeting and engaging with them She even handed out cookies to go which was very cute She seemed actually so happy, which made everyone else happy too! I wish I knew her name! And a big shoutout to Ron the shuttle driver who got us to the airport incredibly efficiently! (So efficiently in fact we didn’t get to give him a tip, which will haunt me :(Sorry Ron) He was the absolute sweetest and was so helpful! Furthermore the hotel itself was nice too, and made for a very pleasant stay even if we were only there for like 9 hours 🙂

Chelsea Cullen

This is a very clean and well kept hotel I actually left another hotel for several reasons to stay here I arrived anxious and worried, but once I entered the hotel I immediately felt safe and heard and cared for

I had a small issue that I won’t even mention details of because it was not their fault, and it was handled beautifully The front staff was excellent and when I presented my issue, they immediately flagged down a gentleman to escort me back to my room to check it outBeautiful interior and exterior spaces Spacious and clean Friendly staff I wish my stay had been longer!

For the price it was good accommodations The rooms were clean and had a good stock of pillows and towels Staff was friendly and there was always someone at the desk to assist

They had laundry on-site on the even numbered floors, pool and gym They did not have a free continental breakfast They had a smart TV and it allowed you to watch your own shows

Dan M

Residence Inn by Marriott combo big but still very nice 7 story hotel here for a week in August Clean and quiet but very busy post Covid Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and downtown only 15 minutes away

Unfortunately I did witness the after effects of a break-in out in the parking lot It can happen anywhere do don’t leave any valuables in plain sight

I was here for a two day meeting (I live in Charlotte) and I was pleasantly surprised They have an EV charger including Tesla so I was able to charge my car They provided lunch for our group and instead of giving this vegan a salad, I had a chickpea wrap that was delicious

Very thoughtful hotel for conferences I will recommend this hotel to family when they visit💜

Geneva Diva

I do not recommend this hotel for longer than 2 nights I stayed a week and it was always a struggle to get bathroom supplies Housekeeping does not clean, they won’t even empty your trash

When I arrived, the swimming pool was green and anyway since the rooms overlook the pool, everyone will see you from above so I didn’t go I did like the functional room design and large window I had a nice open view The independent AC unit is freaking loud and there’s no way to change the setting so be ready to sleep with high decibels Took me a few nights to get used to

deobeon

This place seemed very future-forward, with the fir pit outside, I thought it had a bit of an upscale look The indoor bar also presented itself in being upscale Lounger vibe and feel was absolutely there with the dinner tables inside of the walls

I thought that was very upscale However, the 4 stars are there because of the lil shop that didn’t seem to have much The breakfast started at 6/630a and I had to leave at 5a which I’m not taking the star away for There was only one microwave to service the entire hotel, and the rooms are spacious enough for microwaves, at the least I was late to work because the front desk had mistakenly entered the wrong credit card number to my already paid rooms, and tried charging my card for the room (our company paid for the room a few nights in a row, so I’m unsure with why there was a mix up) But all was well in a few short minutes once my boss called in to ensure the room was paid in full There were no incidentals The lobby smelled great but may have been much more perfume than it needed to be

We chose this hotel because it was cheap Our expectations were too low! The service on the weekend was great The front desk was patient, attentive, and friendly

When the continental breakfast was done but one of my kids felt sick, they let me take an extra bagel When we arrived too early, they let us in 1 of the 2 adjoining rooms right away When we weren’t sure of where to order pizza, they had recommendations When we wanted a few supplies, they had directions for usThe pool was a little too small, but it was a pool, and the kids played in it for hoursWe felt safe at all time

Donnie Brasco

I like that the hotel isn’t far from the hwy A little tricky to get in & out of, but ample lit parking I had trouble checking in, because I used a brand new approved Hilton credit card that I booked my room with, but didn’t have the card yet

The guy on staff told me to download the Hilton app which wouldn’t let me check-in 3rd try by adding the card to my Google pay allowed me to check-in with my drivers license The lobby is beautiful & comfortable! Masks are optional for vaccinated guests Chip in the tub, mark on the carpet, and curtain was falling, but the room smelled fresh & was very clean About 8am for about an hour every 10-15mins someone kept slamming a door I’m not sure if it was staff or guests I was in room 228

Rebecca Tucker

I got a room that had a spa tube in the room witch was great to just relax in I’m a truck driver and had to put it in the shop for a few weeks to get some work done on it anyway back to the hotel, the room was very nice clean and comfortable The price of the room was a little pricey for two night stay It was $449

00 and then a pet fee was 75 dollars for 2 nights witch is a little high for pet fees but I would stay again for sure very nice well maintained hotel and a bonus they had a indoor outdoor pool that was opened to the room 😀

Such a friendly staff! Room was amazing with big fridge, and stocked kitchenette VERY comfortable king bed Great TV and remote

Very clean I wish I could have stayed longer! Hotel was sold out but I did not heard much noise at all Convenient ice machine as well as the ability to make ice in the room if you have the time Would have been nice to have a soda machine on the floor but there was a nice selection on the first floor I did not have time for the continental breakfast so I cannot comment on that Great price for the amazing room!

Eric Barbour

The service by the staff was fine But the continental breakfast was just kinda of Meh This might seem a little picky but if you are competing with outer hotels then I would expect more

The self checkout store is a good idea but the scanner did not recognize a few items so they lost some coin The rooms were clean and nice The location was easy to find The staff was nice and attentive

Urine and used toilet papers in the toilet when we checked in to our room The rooms we booked smelled of mildew I have asthma The manager was unprofessional and rude

Not one apology from the manager The staff wanted to help They were kindNo accommodations made for the dirty toilet At least the night manager had the wherewithal to clean the bathroomDisgusting that someone used our toilet prior to checking in A staff member? Shocked Unsanitary to say the least Did not eat there because of their lack of attention to sanitationWe are diamond members and no consideration given Pricing was completely wrong for the 7 rooms we booked Manager was rude and offensive in our attempt to get the prices adjusted to what was booked originallyWould never stay here again

The hotel itself was clean and well maintained Breakfast this morning was hot and delicious The parking lot is easy to get in and out of

But the real reason I am leaving 5 stars is because of the employees The ladies at the desk last night were pleasant and fun They showed real interest in who we were, where we were from and where we were going It was nice to feel genuinely welcome at a hotel instead of “just another customer” Thanks ladies, you were just what my wife and I needed after a long day on the road

I did not get any photos, we pulled in at 2am or so after almost 7 hours of driving, me and a buddy were headed south to buy a car We headed to breakfast around 0815 Let me tell you that was one of the best hotel breakfast I have had in awhile

The staff was great and keeping everything stocked up to included the bacon The bacon was perfect The breakfast alone started my day off right for the the drive for the next 3 hours Room was fine, would easily stay at this location again The breakfast was what all holiday inn and hampton inn should be striving for, that kitchen crew should be given the kudos they deserve

Clean room, and convenient to the interstate We stopped late to just rest our heads for the night near the end of March 2022 Breakfast in the morning was surprisingly good for the cost of the hotel

Rooms were modern and cleanWe would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity arose

It was okay for one night There was stuff splattered on the walls The ceiling in the bathroom had stuff splattered on it

The big light had bugs in it The shower is so tiny that you can barely stand and it’s very slippery The ledges in the shower are slanted and can’t hold anything The inside of the fridge was disgusting The lady at the front desk wasn’t very welcoming The beds were comfortable and clean, so like I said, it’s okay for one night

The staff at this Hampton Inn is phenomenal Our reservation was booked on the wrong date, and customer service wouldn’t refund or let us change the date We were going to have to pay full price for another hotel room

The amazing desk clerk, Shara, helped us speak with the customer service agent and even got us a great deal on a room after all that had happened Although the cleanliness of the hotel was subpar, I would come back just for the front desk staff Thank you again to Shara, for making our stay enjoyable and memorable!!!

I booked a block here for our wedding guests and while the hotel/rooms were very nice, the staff was not helpful There was a change in sales manager between the time when we booked the room block vs actual block dates and the front desk staff was extremely rude anytime we had to call, there were issues booking the transportation that was initially included in our contract, and the staff was generally not responsive

Luckily I moved our wedding party to a different hotel that was amazing & got most of our guests to move – the ONLY hitch in our wedding planning was dealing with this hotel

Room(s):- The room was humid Air conditioning struggled to keep the room at the set temperature It fluctuated between warm humid and cool

– The entire carpet had a sticky feeling (possibly from humidity issues) After walking around on the carpet for an hour, my feet were covered in a black substance I had to wash my feet just before going to bed each night- There were additional dark sticky spots on the floor that seemed like someone had spilled sauce on the floor and the floor was never cleaned- Air conditioner had a mild mold scent- Toilet frequently gets hung up and keeps flushing We were able to stop the toilet from continuing to flush each time, but it took us a few minutes to notice that it wasn’t stopping- Beds, entrance, refrigerator, and bathroom were clean- A friend staying in another room found a live roach The front desk attendant assisted with the removalFeatures:- The digital key card only worked on the first day for the room It failed to work the following day as it kept turning red after telling me it was ready to unlock my room door Hilton Customer support informed us that we would have to contact the front desk every time it failed to get a new token The last time I had this issue at a Hampton Inn, I had to get it reset multiple times It appears Hilton has not fixed this, but this is part of my experience at this hotel- The digital key card did not work at any of the other doors like the ice machine or side entrances which had stickers stating to use the digital key card The digital key card would not even acknowledge they existed like it had for my room- The breakfast items were sometimes okay The eggs were the powdered eggs and were often sitting in a pool of water Over the course of the stay, they also had slices of maple sausage, sausage patties, bacon, and breakfast sausage linksStaff:Staff were very friendly and courteous They tried to help us as much as needed Gerald (front desk attendant for most of our stay) assisted us as needed and greeted us every time we passed byHalls/Elevator:The halls and the elevator were very warm and humidFinal points:We chose a room based on specific conditions We needed a large room for walking around due to having an infant We needed space to pace and calm her down We chose to be on the top floor in a corner room away from everyone and the highway to minimize the amount of opportunities that might wake our infant and the opportunities for our infant to wake others The conditions were specific and such a room existed, but the carpet was disgusting We kept our luggage in the entrance area which had plastic or laminated tiles It was more stressful that the room struggled to maintain a consistent temperature The halls on the fourth floor were humid and warm The elevator was humid and warmThis review would have been a one star review if the front staff had the same qualities as the rest of the hotel and featuresI hope this hotel understands they need to actually clean the roomsI voiced my complaints 4 days ago I have yet to be contacted by the hotel manager within 3 days per Hilton’s requirement in their email If you come to stay at a hotel solely to meet the staff, this is your place I would look for other Hilton properties in the area if possible and within your means

The staff are pleasant but the hotel is worn and needs a refresh in the lobby and the rooms We had the unfortunate experience of having our toilet overflow, even though we indicated it wasn’t working properly the day before Surprised that the bathroom was not cleaned after the repair, we came home to a tub full of towels used to capture the toilet water after repair

We again requested to have the bathroom cleaned and were told the staff had gone home for the day that they would provide cleaning supplies for me if I wanted to clean it Totally frustrated, I called Marriott Customer Service and opened a case I pressed the front desk and they called the local manager We checked out a few hours later The manager called to apologize and offer a small creditHe was pleasant, but being asked to clean was outrageous I realize things break but when a customer tells you the toilet isn’t working, it saves a lot of money and frustration to fix it correctly the first time In a two night visit we had 3 attempts on the toilet repair If the location is what you need, try the Hampton Inn across the street, we visited friends staying there and found that hotel to be nicer than ours

I was in town for a dog training client in the Gastonia area The hotel is perfect spot for food and not far from Charlotte The check in process was easy and quick

Our room was clean and the bottled water came in perfect that was left in our room Everyone we encountered that works there is so friendly and nice Thanks for a great stay! The whirlpool was AMAZING!

Stayed two nights August 10 and August 11 Room was clean but smelled musty

Staff was courteous and switched to us to a better room The evening of August 11 someone pulled the fire alarm at 330 am and the entire hotel stayed outside for about an hour waiting for fire alarms to be shut down by fire department Horrible Then about 7 am hotel staff entered my room with out knocking or announcing themselves Freaked out by this So I of course latched the door Then at 8 am someone from the staff tried to enter once again Yes the latched worked!! I guess the phones don’t work where they can call to see if the rooms are empty Ridiculous Obviously went to the front desk staff that morning and they agreed to credit half my stay Which I agreed since I stayed two nights and the last night was disturbed by an individual that decided to pull the fire alarm and their in welcomed staff But wait What they meant was they were crediting my card for half that night stay I found this out after I left and confirm the amount Not happy and not the best area to stay Will not return
