So originally we were camping on the beach Had a wonderful day, until a massive storm rolled in We knew it was going to rain and we took the precautions

What we didn’t know was that it was going to be hurricane force winds and over an hour of down pour Needless to say about an hour in we had 2 inches if not more of water AND sand in the bottom of the tent and it started falling apart So we ditched and booked a last minute room here We managed to make 2 adults, a 2 yr old, a 12 yr old, and a 13 yr old function in a 1 king bed room We were in the main building, so I can’t speak for the other non attached buildings that are part of the hotel We all immediately took a shower The room was clean, the building was clean, and everything was nice The comp breakfast was even decent from what I seen I mean the lobby was full when we left So over all it was NICEThe only negative I can say was the American woman on the phone quoted the room for $299 for the one night, and when we arrived the foreign woman tried to make it like $379 for the night I was like uh NO! It was like 11/1130pm when we checked in The women were pretty mediocre, not much personality to say the least Just there to make a paycheck and not really wanting to deal with people Ultimately a room for like 95 hours cost $29999, then got a discount by becoming a member then that took it down, then fees and taxes and other BS it said $29159, then something about some bs liability or possible damage charge and the total amount paid was $34159 Which I think is absolutely ridiculous to charge to sleep and shower for a whole 95 hours That’s my only complaint The customer service and the amount for a whole 9 hours Like I said room was great Walked by the pool and kids seemed to be loving it so I assume it was good too Either way, if you can get a deal then this is a nice place to stay 🙂

As you’ve seen in other reviews, the location was good As a hotel it was just fair When you walk into the office you’re greeted with a poorly built wall of covid protection that really gives you a bad first impression

Our room had a smokey smell and needed a bit of updating The breakfast was minimal at best It did fill our need to give us a place to sleep at night The beds were fine and we didn’t see any bugs I feel that the price was high for what we received

Victor R

Very convenient location, great rooms for the price, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, pool and hot tub great addition People need to stop complaining about the motel/hotel issue concerning the walk to main building for amenities, they have exterior and interior rooms, information and prices are clearly available for you to decide what type of room fits your needs before you book Our stay was great and appreciated staff attention

This little beachfront Inn on Lake Michigan is a gem! It has a roof top up above with seating so you can see the beach and the lake and looking down is a quaint, beautiful court yard plush with plants and water fountains The rooms are all decorated differently and are extremely clean! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and had answers to all my questions I will definitely be going back to this wonderful Inn

Simple family run business with the best beach access around, just cross the street Owner has beach umbrellas, boogie boards, 2 bicycles and anything you might need to borrow for a day at the beach Front game room with dozens of board games and couches for that rainy day

Propane grills and tables in the center courtyard for dining al fresco!

Regina Heflin

Great hotel, very charming I loved the balconies, courtyard, and view Awesome location – directly across from the beach! Reserved parking which was great

Our room was cute and clean There is no maid service, but we were given plenty of towels My only issue was not having our trash picked up or a central place to take trashThere are stairs, no elevator, but worth it when all is taken into accountThere are games in the lobby and toys, beach chairs, etc available for use on the beach

Camped here for a weekend fishing with my two adult sons My oldest arrived and was unloading his tent at the campsite I had a pick up camper unloaded from my truck

We were approached by someone I assumed was management of the campground and said that we were not allowed (3) vehicles at the campsite, we said no problem, he was just unloading and it would be moved very soon and it was We had a great weekend never had another issue until after we vacated the campsite on checkout day After I left, I received an email from the campground saying that we had three vehicles at the campsite again and “since you’re unable to follow our rules, unfortunately, we’re probably not the right campground for you” For about 25 minutes as we were packing up to leave, the camper was back on the truck and my sons vehicles were at the campsite loading upI will absolutely never spend another dime at this campground again SInce there were many “regulars/seasonal” campers that had more than two vehicles at their site continuously I guess my sons and I did not fit the afluency level with my 87 pick-up pop-up camper and my sons older boatI will make sure to let everyone that I know not to use this campground unless you drive a $250,000 motor home and have and equally expensive boat because they discriminate against us less fortunate people

I recently stayed at this hotel and am discouraged that after two calls for management that I have not received a call backCons:1)

I told the front desk I was looking for local things to do and she did not suggest the Trolley that went hourly from the hotel I was SO disappointed to find this out two hours from my departure2) I paid extra for the balcony room but was unable to use it due to it being overtaken by spiders We actually had some spiders in our room from my trying to use the balcony3) I had no washcloths in the bathroom for my shower and had to call down for some to be brought up I was told they should of been in there4) The refrigerator wasn’t up to temp and I lost all the food in itPros:I liked the location and the restaurant downstairs! Paris is a wonderful waitress and I appreciated her great jobHad I got a return call from a manager this review could of went completely different

Sue Friedlander

Kate at the front desk was amazing & turned our stay aroundAccidentally booked room with a 3rd party & didn’t get correct room or view as promised When I spoke to the front desk the first night I was told nothing could be done

Was so disappointed as it was a yearly girls getawayAfter talking to Kate on the second morning she rectified the situation & put us in an awesome room with a balcony and view that was originally promisedI am so grateful to her for understanding what happened & want to commend her on her amazing customer serviceShe is awesome !Also, our bartender at the outside bar was great Wish I remembered her name She was so friendly & helpfulThank you to both of these wonderful ladies !Ended up having a great timeBeautiful, spacious outdoor area to enjoy drinks & the viewWould reccomend but make sure & call hotel directly to book

Byron Aldrink

The location is wonderful On one side you have a nice view of Spring Lake with balconies The pool and hot tub were a nice amenity

What can I say? This place was amazing!!! Stayed here for a few days on family vacation Loved that it’s close to the beach & a couple restaurants, one actually just a short walk away The room was nicely decorated and very clean

Next to a marina which was very nice sitting on the bench looking at all the different sailboats Hope to come back next year!

Chelsea Hensbergen

Found this on a whim for a romantic winter getaway and what a cute little place! Everything was immaculately clean and it smelled amazing as soon as you walk in Very quiet with soft white noise machines and comfortable king bed There are only 9 rooms so I’m sure it books up quickly in the summer

Very close to the beach and lots of amenities (board games, fireplace, snowshoes, sleds, etc) The owner was also extremely welcoming and friendly when I spoke to her on the phone

Maria Michel

Had a girls weekend here to celebrate some birthdays and it was a perfect stay! The owners were so welcoming and even drove us into town as we were having trouble finding an Uber Our drive into town was complete with a little tour of the downtown and highlights of what’s new and what to check out! Such hospitality! I would definitely recommend this place The room was clean, cozy, and felt like a small apartment with a stove top, big fridge, and an amazing shower! I also loved the unique style of the loft beds, made to look like vintage boats

I look forward to staying here again in the future 🙂

Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant, room was clean and nicely laid out This is a fairly new renovation and the upgrades are very chic There was no tub in my room only a shower but it was really nice

I was able to use the pool and hot tub all alone and the poolside towels are excellent The whole space was well maintained and clean It was a really pleasant and comfortable stay I can’t really comment on value as I had to go for a work event so it was a block rate But I was on the 4th floor and could view the lake from my window which was quite pleasant

S Reynolds

Great location over looking downtown Updated rooms, comfortable beds and pillows Pool and hot tub were nice, we did not eat at the restaurant but it was very nice in there will dimmed lighting, fireplace and outdoor seating

I’m only giving it a 4 because the windowsill was full of paint chips Being a mother of 3 little ones who love to look out the window it should have been cleaned out Rooms were a little small but still comfortable

William Sharpe

The room was satisfactory

however the pool was murky, the hot tub had a layer of thick foam on top( which we steered clear of), the adult swim curfew also was not very well enforced(multiple children remained in pool until 11:15), and the breakfast was made to seem complimentary until we were presented a hefty tab after dining After what was charged for the room breakfast should have been included for what it was(nothing special)The workout room was very nice as well

3/4 sides of this building face the water, even if you don’t spring for the balcony you can open the sliding glass doors and soak in the breeze and the sounds of the lake I was on the 9th floor and it was a great view Only one elevator was working at the time so sometimes it would get crowded with people trying to go up or down from several floors, but the elevators are quite fast so it was manageable

Room was impeccably clean and there was a good assortment of different fill pillows as well Bed was comfortable

Casie Hartwick

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views, excellent customer care and clean, quiet, spacious rooms My room did not have a tub but it did have a really nice, large shower My room also had a Keurig, so I was able to bring my own k-cups and enjoy coffee as if I were at home!I would definitely recommend this place

There is a restaurant within the hotel too, so if you’re not the type to wander a new city, this is perfect

Rene Peery

We stayed 7 nights summer of ’22 Well maintained grounds and pools 5star view from our room

I wish our room had been a little cleaner at check in, but overall we had a fantastic stayThe bathroom do need an update, but for the price I paid I can’t complainAlso the Lake House restaurant is EXCELLENT

Not a bad place It was a bit older, with some aspects being outdated But overall, a decent stay

I would stay again Breakfast was minimal, but enough to satisfy everyone in our family Hot tub looked a little sketchy, brown streaks all over (possibly rust?) and a pile of dirt in the bottom But water was clear and hot Nice little area outside of pool, we ate our dinner out there Although the keycard reader did not work, so we got locked out there Room was fine, aside from a horribly loud, squeaky closet door Room was clean, pull-out bedding was in room, decent sizeBut the staff……every person on staff that I interacted with was extremely polite, kind and helpful Kudos on that! That can just ruin a hotel stay for meEnjoyed my stay!

Jonetta Minter

For the most part this place is clean, food is mediocre I had to switch my room after two nights because of flooding from the use of the tub but couldn’t because the place was booked The last day of my stay I was able to switch

I was there for a total of 5 days I was told I would get points added to my Marriott account for the hassle of keeping towels down by the door but didn’t After calling three times asking about points I said forget it We stayed at another Fairfield Inn in Kentucky and it was truly remarkable Fresh food like eggs, bacon and sausage With fresh fruit , bagels and coffee cakes Kids loved the place

Jenni Hecht

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTELThis hotel is a joke We booked our stay Wednesday before we left and paid in full We had a funeral to attend the day of checking and we only wanted to get into our room and decompress-this wasn’t going to happen

The Fairfield decided they didn’t need to uphold our reservation because it was booked through a third party and never kept a room for us On top of that, they lied about a room being available and wasted two hours of our already emotional day by making use wait while they “cleaned” a room-which never happened Then when we asked for the manager we were told he wasn’t on site when he was and he was walking around us with HEADPHONES in I will do my best to not book a Fairfield again and with the Marriot Group, which will be hard since they are everywhere Thankfully, Hotelscom took care of the issue at no extra charge and even got us into an upgraded hotel

Breakfast was wonderful We stayed in executive room It was comfortable and clean Not a fan of the art, it was a bit campy The two glamorous pics need to go and perhaps add photos of something more time and name appropriate!

Right in the heart of Grand Haven, MI is this historic gem The house is 150 years old but the restorative work that has been done to it is exceptional! Our room was magnificent, comfortable bed, vintage style bathroom, gas fireplace, as well as thermostat heatShelly is a great hostess and cook

The breakfasts were wonderful We enjoyed two of them The first was a Creme Brulee French toast was exquisite with the perfect blend of textures and creme brulee flavor The fresh honeydew was perfectly ripe The second was a crustless quiche with green Chile It was a concept that worked well, especially with the sharp cheddar cheese that it was made with I have seen a different review stating that the food is not creative I disagree with that assessmentOur stay only got better when we met the deer that casually visit the property when we arrived back to the house our first night thereWe would definitely venture to this charming b & b again

I got to town in the morning, and was hoping to stow a little bit of luggage here, since I ride on a motorcycle Sally, the woman in charge at that time, was most rude “No

Come back after 3pm!” she barked Hmmm Once I was checked in, I found the bathroom vanity to be far too tiny, the Jacuzzi tub essentially inoperable, and weirdly, the bedside tables were tiny, but had tiny baskets filled with caramels that had long since gone hot, sticky and bad I won’t be returning, and at the rates they charge, neither should anybody else

We chose this park over state parks since they used to take better pride in their park and actually enforce the park rules so that all staying could enjoy their vacation State parks have become insane! However, this trip to Pioneer County Park felt very similar to a State park It

Was Chaos Music at all hours, howling dogs left out on cables all night and all day without supervision, party tents set up We came to relax and would love for everyone to do the same! Your vacation shouldn’t infringe on mine We left a day early due to the inability to sleep with mass chaos the park couldn’t/wouldn’t control despite repeated calls requesting such
