Breakfast not included For the price it really should be Bottled water was not complimentary and the water coming out of the tap smelled like sulfur

The first room I was given smelled like people had been boarding dogs there 3 of the 4 lights had bulbs that were burnt out and they said they didn’t have any replacements The phone in the room did not work Stayed in a different room the next night with a 1PM late checkout requested Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 11AM and kept waking me up I work nights so that’s an issue Happened the first night too And finally, they shut the water off the second morning so no shower, toilet or water available when I got up Some of my crew was informed, but I was not Poor communication by staff Overall terrible stay☹️

1 star hotel Let’s start with the dirty handicapped room Hair all over the walls of the shower, mildew on soap dispenser’s, and mold in the shower roof

The sink had stains of either toothpaste or shaving cream The sink was broken at one point/damaged and they plastered the stupid sink instead of replacing it Absolute disgusting! Moving into the formal area and bed there was pieces of plaster from the roof on the sofa The area was Re-plastered with cracks all in the overhead roof by the sofa The ac control was broken on the wall had to manually figure out how to start and keep ac on which was achieved by keeping the fan on and on the auto setting which eventually turned on 20 minutes later The room had a mildew smell with a hint of tobacco smoke When I needed to use the office area in lobby to print, the entire stay the printer was out of ink despite asking staff to replace Laundry services was down and broken Before choosing to stay here, it was important to me they serve breakfast before reporting for my job at 07:30 I was told over the phone that during the WEEKEND the bistro opened at 6am (that was was a lie) Overall, better deal to stay at the best western down the road The Courtyard Orange Park Marriott was absolute garbage! Also, took many pictures please just ask and I will share them Any military staring orders at NAS Jax please use caution I will be reporting this hotel to DTS/SATO or whomever I need to report to The DoD needs to drop this contact

The valet employees are very accommodating and friendly The property is clean and the restaurant on site has good food The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable

The property has every amenity you would expect The rooftop pool is nice and spacious There’s a nice grand piano on the second floor for guests to play which is nice but only two chairs by it if people want to sit and enjoy the musicThat being said the rooms are EXTREMELY dated The wallpaper was peeling off the wall, the bathroom door was peeling apart and random mechanical parts were falling off the wall/ceiling The shower is something out of the 70s I venture to not even call it “lighting” in the room but rather simply a lamp You basically get dressed in the dark 24/7 The staff aren’t exactly nice — nor rude Common seating is absent There’s about 4 chairs in the lobby which are always taken and there’s a large space by the restaurant but no common chairs outsideOverall the location is convenient and I would stay at the hotel again — just don’t show up with ‘Marriott’ expectations and you’ll enjoy it

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a room They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itNight Auditor, Nancy, provided the most pleasant and accommodating check-in experience for myself and guest! Our party enjoyed their stay here The only downside was with dinner, waitress was aware of our tabs and it still took a while to pay after we were through We did appreciate the accommodation for a large party and our time was enjoyable Thank you again, Nancy! I would most definitely have my guest stay here again!

Kayla Em

The location is good but there’s quite a lot of homeless people around There’s a restaurant inside the hotel if you don’t want to go out ! Lobby is nice and clean! The hotel is clean but could use a renovation They only provided one towel for each person so I had to ask for more for the following day

They only provided one tiny bottle of body wash (125 fl oz) for me and my husband I think they should check how many people stay in the room and for how many days There’s no power outlet to charge your cellphone next to the bed TV is placed on the side of the bed rather than at the end of the bed

River Park House is such a peaceful retreat I love staying here when I come to visit family It’s walkable to restaurants and right on Spring Park where you can swim in a pool fed by the spring water

The park has two playgrounds and a pier Leyda is the best host and makes you feel like family The rooms are very well done, and there’s a with a nice mix of vintage pieces with a touch of modern The breakfast is awesome and there are always snacks out for you to take as you head out the door or back to your room 5/5 for this hidden gem in Green Cove Springs

Joy Miller

Super quiet and relaxing, and it’s right across the street from the springs and the St John’s River park Our room was spacious, beds comfortable, and it had an updated bath

Breakfast was yummy, and Leyda was a very welcoming host We stopped on our way south, and will definitely be back whenever we are in the area Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Vicki Kaffenberger

Finding it difficult to locate a place to stay in downtown Green Cove Springs? River Park House (formerly River Park Inn) is the place for you Not only is Leyda and Robert’s home beautiful and cozy, they are outstanding hosts Their care and concern for your comfortable stay goes above and beyond any other places we have stayed

Couple that with the location being within walking distance of a great coffee shop and numerous restaurants, it’s perfect St Johns River is a block away and the mineral springs are just across the streetYour search should begin and end with River Park House!

This place was *phenomenal* Everything in the room was clean And let’s be honest, how often does that happen? The lobby was always active with other guests as well as the staff

The smoking areas, parking lot and surrounding grounds were very well lit, and I always felt safe This is *extremely* important for a solo female traveler Any time I had a question, the staff had an answer So helpful and kind I would definitely stay here again So many lovely little perks about the place I enjoyed my stayHeads up, for those of you sensitive to sound: the hotel is extremely close to a very busy highway, and if you’re not running your heating/air conditioning unit, then you WILL hear it It didn’t bother me a bit as I grew up with highway noise, but I thought it worth mentioning for anyone who could be bothered by it Don’t let this discourage you from staying here, though It was a great place

ALYSSA MEYER

We were there visiting family and it was probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at Very clean, love the modern but bright colors We really liked that room service isn’t constantly coming in to clean only when you ask for it

The room is a little small but we weren’t there much Breakfast was a good selection and fresh Staff was friendly every time we came in they would say hi My favorite is how they out your name on the tv when you go into your room Makes it feel more personal

Chris

Overall the quality of our stay was good The location is excellent because it was near everything we wanted to go get food or gas The traffic was not bad since it gets bad in the afternoon anyway when it is near the exit

The room was nice It has that clean and smell to it We were glad the sheets feels and smells clean, that means they charge the sheets The pillows were ok The cleanliness overall was good We like the fact that the air smells good and it didn’t smell stuffed up at all Most hotels have that smell when their old The breakfast isn’t too shabby Great amenities for sale if you need snacks Coffee is always free Parking is free anywhere in the property And overall the staff are friendly and courteous will probably stay again

I stayed here from March 8-11 This is not my usual hotel My usual hotel, another holiday inn express, inflated its prices for spring break

This hotel was cheaper and was the same kind I come to Jacksonville only to visit the Mayo Clinic I am a 33-year-old woman who is on oxygen and am up for a lung transplant So, I am back and forth from Tallahassee, where I live, to Jacksonville frequently because of thatThe 3-night stay ended in an infestation of BED BUGS!!! Both me and my companion had bites all over our arms and I inadvertently brought them home with me The manager did a couple of things for us like change us to a new room and gave us a few alcohol swabs for our arms but for the whole ordeal I only got $5600 taken of my bill so I still had to pay over $300 for a complete infestation of bed bugs I think I should have gotten a free ride out of that……………Not only the bed bug situation but also when I first arrived something occurred when we were checking in that caused me to give the manager, who was taking care of me the side eye Very questionable service I was given upon arrival which rubbed me the wrong wayI will not be back to this hotel ever As a warning for whoever stays at this hotel from now on, the room numbers that we stayed in and were changed to are 515 and 516 So, if I were you, if you are booked into one of those rooms do yourself a favor and ask to be switched because 515 was the original room we were given with the bed bugs and we were changed to 516 I am quite sure if I brought them home with me, they were transferred to the second room Good luck to anyone who stays at this hotel You are going to need it!

Christine Greco

Got there and the lady upfront held a room for me and my handicap sister I told her I would be back to go get r belongings and when we got back she sold it She did find us a room but it was very hot, refrigerator didn’t work but she told us

She gave us a discount military service and for the way the room was Well, my step-dad paid on his credit card and he found out that they charged him 10089 dollars and she gave it to us for 10065 dollars! Called them and Megan was suppose to credit it back to his account and never did! So disappointing

Rooms were very clean, spacious and accommodating You can’t beat the great price Room came with a nice little kitchenette and complimentary coffee

Breakfast is complimentary too and offers a nice variety Staff was very friendly and helpful Plenty of parking and for military families relocating it has places to park small moving trucks Located right next to the golf course Will definitely return

Nick Skirvin

All was well until the last night when the manager got on my group’s case about wearing masks, saying she was the manager She didn’t look like the manager I spoke with the day prior who said she’d had no complaints (impressive for a group of high school students)Roach as long as a 110v plug crawling up the wall was a nice touch, but how many did I not see?

Bob Builder

Overall, reasonable accommodations for the price over my >1 month stay Three issues: repairs, animals, housekeepingRepairs – upon checking in, I had multiple repair requests involving cords on blinds falling off, fridge replacement for door closure issue and leaking, bathtub drain clogging There were four functional dryers for a hotel with roughly 90 rooms, others were out of service for the entirety of my stay

Animals – outdoor trash is filled with raccoons, you have to take out your own trash, and I would often throw the trash (sometimes miss the garbage bin entirely) to avoid contracting rabies from an uninvited bite Indoors, I saw fruit flies if I left food in my room trash for more than 1 day, so I made an effort to take this out daily Beetles were seen by the AC A lizard was seen by my fridge Maintenance addressed my pest issues in the room, but the raccoon issue remained This is a health and safety concernHousekeeping – upon check-in the front desk informed me housekeeping will service my room every 4th day, the standard note left in each room from the GM states they’ll swing by every 3rd day In actuality, they came every 5th day I requested on three separate occasions for housekeeping to come on certain days of the week due to using my room for meetings on particular dates; this was not respected even onceI would encourage management to address maintenance/pest issues by pre-treating/pre-inspecting rooms, hiring exterminator for raccoon issue, and speak with housekeeping to streamline services for our active duty populations

My wife Adult son and 9yr old grand daughter reserved a suite while visiting for my other son’s wedding After 2 nights of 4 night stay he housekeeping staff had not checked for room service They were reluctant to empty trash upon request, negligent in our request for room service

Upon direct contact requesting fresh towels Finally we resorted to contacting the front desk for action Holiday Inn is my first choice, the experience was by far the worse considering what I am used to I hope the next 2 nights are better

mike park

Was 5 star, friendly, helpful staff, great food, clean All was well until about to walk in the lobby and was told “there is video being recorded in the lobby, and will have to wait outside” Now I have years of photography experience, a couple of back drops or screens would have prevented background distractions

People could quietly make their way in respecting to keep noise level down Was the lobby the only place for this video, if so, another entry could have been far more appropriate to allow guests to enter This video filming turned 5 star review to 3, it was only a short wait for me Had it been longer, of course the star rating would be lower

sean thomas

I stayed there is week The hotel is amazing It was one of nicest hotels I’ve stayed at

Sadly, housekeeping knocks on your door an hour prior to checkout Lady said sorry Then another 15 minutes later, a different woman knocked on my door I felt this was rude, and lack of communication between front desk and housekeeping Checkout time was 11 I checked out at 1028 Lady at front desk didn’t seem to care when I brought it up to her

Called to book at Fairfield Inn at Airport, got to hotel at 10:00 PM, only to find that reservations were made at this hotel even though reservation said airportDesk manager at this hotel was very friendly, but we ended up in a room that has a broken AC unit It works, but is so loud that we can’t hear the TV

It clicks and bangs constantly and kept us up all night My husband went down to front desk and asked if something could be done He was told that maintenance doesn’t work on the weekends I feel like we should have been offered a different roomWe are very dissapointed Not a good Marriott experience at all We are supposed to stay another night, but will be checking out early if we can find somewhere else to stay

Troy Coffman

Everything was great other than my check in I waited at the front desk for several minutes I could hear people in the back office laughing and joking

I said “Hello?” twice with no response Finally another lady that worked there came and asked if I’d been helped She had to yell twice to the people in the back office before she could get their attention Finally four girls came out of the back laughing and eating food I thought it was very unprofessional

We recently stayed at Club Continental while visiting for business We were pleasantly surprised by our entire experience It had an old Florida feel

Our room was unique in theme, very roomy, adequately updated and had an amazing view of tht St John’s River Breakfast is served from 8-9 with a limited menu Tuesday night is Italian Night and the food was delicious! There is no room service but there is cleaning service If you are a high touch individual that enjoys room service this is not the place for you We on the other hand love the quietness and low touch homey feel We will definitely be back!

We went to the Club Continental for a retirement seminar The food was darn good We thought there should be more gravy & some more asparagus ( only 2 really)? But just wanted to comment too that the staff was very helpful, professional & kind

Their tea was very tasty but 2nd round a little too sweet Otherwise the place is top notch You should check it out for yourself They’re located in Orange Park, Florida Enjoy!

First and foremost, the staff was wonderful and friendly, check in-out was quick and easy My wife and I stayed on the 4th floor, room was spacious Those are the pros

The cons, i woke up the second night with bug bites on my arm, back and back of the neck It wasn’t from the bed because my wife and 2 year old son didn’t have any bites on them I did note that I took a nap on the couch I searched to see if there we’re bugs on the couch but due to the couch itself being dark and the lighting was poor (only 2 plug in lamps on both corners of the room) we couldn’t detect them The wall thermostat would show 70 but wouldn’t go lower then 74 Hot tub was out of order And when we arrived to our room, there was dirty Lenin’s and garbage bags by our door that didn’t get pick up till the following day This was my first bad experience with Homewood suites Usually really clean and no problems ever happen The staff was super nice and so was the night front desk lady

C. Selz

We arrived early and hung out by the pool while we waited for our room So cozy the poolside vibe was Rita at the front desk was very helpful and kind

Check in was seemless and appreciated The room was as advertised and we had no complaints It was clean and spacious The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! The hotel was a short Uber ride to the event downtown Highly recommend and we will be back

Dave Kuiil

Was provided a room by my property management company The customer service representative at Homewood Suites was less than helpful in the checkin process due to wanting to charge a premium for something that was already paid for When she enlisted the help of her supervisor the supervisor had a snippy attitude after I told her what the problem was

When I asked for her name she refused to give it and wasn’t wearing any identifying badges Her response was, “don’t worry about my name” They refused to speak to the property management company to rectify the situation They not only ended up charging us the premium for the room but also tried to charge an extra $200 Luckily my bank refused it probably to prevent fraud Once I got into the room it smelled like stale smoke Somebody didn’t abide by the no smoking room and they apparently didn’t have it properly cleaned after the last guest as a result I don’t feel like a guest hereOne other thing that happened as I was checking in someone came to the front desk exclaiming that they were robbed at the pool This place apparently doesn’t have any security whatsoever in the heart of Jacksonville I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemyShame on this company’s management I have slept at Homewood suites before and received excellent service Yet this particular operation lacks in all aspects so far I wouldn’t be staying here if I had the choice as it was all set up through my property management company

I had to argue for my refund!!First, let me offer a rebuttal to management’s reply here and tell you that this hotel does not “strive to give all [their] guests a clean and comfortable stay” Not only were their roaches (yes, plural) in my room, but when I went to use the phone to call the front desk the phone was absolutely nasty It wasn’t just not cleaned after one guest, but that had to be months of grime from multiple guests If something as obvious as the phone is disgusting, what other shortcuts did they take cleaning your room? The hotel is egregiously overpriced anyway For cheap, scratchy towels and roaches as roommates, they charged nearly $200 for the night When I requested my refund that evening the front desk clerk was quite clueless as to how to help me While he tried his best, his best was so subpar that I would dare say he shouldn’t be left alone to deal with guests by himself But he assured me that it would be handled in the morning So my second gripe is that after dealing with roaches (and having sleep at the airport because I had an early flight), management never contacted me Instead, they decided (without talking to me) that my inconvenience was only worth a 50% refund I had to call and request the remaining refund And still, management never contacted meBut don’t fear fellow traveler, I’m taking my complaint to IHG and hopefully management will be replaced by the time you travel to this overpriced hotel

The toilet did not work when we got to the room at approximately 6pm They had it fixed when we got back to the room at 10ish pm The blinds did not go all the way to the bottom in the window so there was light in our room all night as our window faced the front of the building

However, their breakfast is great and the people working the breakfast were spot on Attentive and accommodating

MOST CHARMING PLACE! I was impressed from the moment I checked into this property

This was my graduation weekend in May I initially asked for an early check-in, because I knew I’d be too early, and I was The host took such good care of me, as if I were family My room was divine The attention to detail was stellar Super clean, with an old fashioned carriage-style ambiance If you book a room here, you SCORE Then there is the breakfast! This is not your continental breakfast at the Ho-Jo You’ll select your delish items from a carefully crafted menu I felt so special staying here Thank you sooo much

We could not find fault with this placeHard to believe? I thought so too, it’s never happened to me before The room was as clean as clean can be, the shower pressure was awesome, even the filter of the ac/unit was totally lint free

(to me this was a longshot)The hot breakfast was well above average and the staff were so friendly and helpful and it’s obvious that they take sanitizing serious due to the COVID nightmare

Pros:Hampton Inn has the most comfortable beds by far, consistent across all their hotels where I have stayedVery clean throughoutStaff friendly and helpful

Cons:Ridiculously expensive Cost was $70 higher per night than a much better room where I stayed the night prior, and that was a suite! This night included a AAA discount, which the other did notNo fan in the bathroom, so I had to open the bathroom door to release the humidity while I finished getting ready The TV cabinet was poorly installed (see pictures) Door askew and microwave shelf crookedThe pros and cons evened each other out, with the high cost being the worst of it Gave 4 stars for comfortable beds, given sleeping is the main reason for the stay

After switching us to another room because of an AC problem the manager really went above and beyond to make us feel at home Travelling with a toddler is never easy and when you have hotel staff that go out of their way to make it easy it’s very appreciativeThe front desk staff were very attentive and patient with impatient people when we arrived

The room was very spacious and enabled us to comfortably setup my toddlers pack n play and slumberpod with room for him to run around The pool was just what we needed to help expend some energy and relax after 5 hrs of being on the roadI am hoping breakfast will be as enjoyable as the room and staff have been

Maria Smith

The check in and out ladies were super sweet, check in was quick and easy, rooms definitely could use an update The room didn’t scream “I’m clean”, the sink in the bathroom was plugged so I had to stick my hand in and unplug it manually and there was a dead bug in the shower Beds are not comfortable either

We probably wouldn’t stay here again unless we were in a pinch

Loved the great customer service! Loved the hardwood floors Loved that the shade made the room perfectly dark for sleeping Loved that the ac fan would blow continuously throughout the night

My only complaint is that the water had a bad smell when you first turned it on or flushed It also tasted really bad from the water fountain But, after spending a few more days in Jacksonville, I’m starting to think that’s just how Jacksonville water tastes I’ve learned that most people buy bottled water around here 😅

I’d give a 5 star but the male manager messed that one up So given the situation with my spouse the manager called our room he was very rude, didn’t want to explain anything to me, threatened to call the cops and me and my children more than once And still refused to tell me why

I myself am very experienced with customerservice The manager whom I spoke with refused to give me his name I’ve already contacted corporate office I will not be coming back to this hotel until its under new management

Unless you have no choice and or your work sends you here AVOID I’m here for work

It’s in the middleOf an industrial area, there’s nothing decent close by They’re still under the assumption that we’re under a pandemic Girl at the desk is wearing a mask Big signs say they don’t do daily housekeeping because of the global pandemic Which is idiotic because I stayed at a country inn in Asheville NC the night before No mask No signs Nothing This hotel stinks, it’s dirty The Cops were here It’s a dump and shame on them Of my company wasn’t paying There’s no way in hell

I love the location Quiet and easily walkable to several bars and restaurants The staff was SO nice and welcoming

They were possibly the kindest and sweetest hotel staff I’ve ever met I had two separate reservations which needed to be combined and they did so seamlessly They explained the parking, amenities, charges thoroughly We requested a few items sent to the room and they showed up immediately Would definitely stay again

Booked my room from Hotel tonight! $219 supposed to be a suit! Turned out to be one room two beds! Took 15 minutes to get help when I first came in! Lady explained to me the pet fee was $125 but on Hotels Tonight it said $50! Then explain its $15 for parking Hotel tonight said $999! Plus additional $40 hold on your card! This really set a tone for my families vacation! My last time staying here not worth it

I have to say I was very disappointed during my stay considering the condition of the hotel I understand that things happen beyond the hotel’s control, but guest should be notified at time of booking that the place is under some kind of construction and services which we come to depend on (Ie

breakfast) are not available I understand they were sending guests next door, but we both know the breakfast there is nothing compared to what is offered at HGIThe missing ceilings near the elevator, wires hanging out that wall, the stained flooring throughout the hotel, and not having bath rags in my room was just to name a few things I was shocked to discover As a Diamond Member, I choose this brand of hotels because of the comfort in knowing that I am going to get a level of service that I have come to love and appreciate You can’t charge rates based on what the hotel once was, but need to reflect what current conditions are Sadly, this was a step up from a Motel 6 and I don’t say that lightly I was here attending a family emergency and recommended this hotel to all my family who also stayed here, and frankly I was embarrassedThe highlight of the stay was the wonderful staff at the front desk Despite working in conditions like this, they were very upbeat and charismatic That is the one thing that I can say has stayed true to what has always been when I come here I have to say, this will probably be the last stay at this location
