One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had Karen at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful One of the kindest people I’ve ever met

The room was very spacious and clean Beds were comfortable and the outside view is awesome I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quality hotel Would definitely love to come back here

Total disappointment My first visit was not a good one but Everyone deserves a second chance so after talking with the owner we decided to come back again for another stay Three years later and after it has become a family destination every year I go to book and I am told that I am on the do not rent list

I am utterly confused and try to speak with the woman about it because I’ve never had any issues in there except for the first time when I came and found a room that was unsatisfactory She told me that once your place on that list the owner doesn’t wanna deal with you and I’m headed for the evitable so there’s no use in trying to talk I was trying to explain to her that after money stays I never left the room and any condition other than cleaner than when I came I had the courtesy of taking out the trash making sure the bed and sheets were put in so it was easy for the Housekeeper to clean the room , I come from a non-smoking house and even more so I was baffled because I had had a talk with the owner on the way out or a gentleman that has present himself as the owner on all visits, was telling me how next time I come back I’ll be able to get into my room with my phone so I’m not sure what to make of it In today’s world it makes me question is it because I have a mixed family is it because now my money is not good enough? Ive spent thousands of dollars in your establishment with no prior issues with no explanation, let alone a rude explanation as to why I was put on the do not block list is just unsettling and can only leave my mind to wander make sure if you visit your check under your bedsheets For bugs and be prepared to be blocked

What made this experience incredible and what would bring me back is the woman at the front desk, Rose She goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable, know everything you need to know and will get you whatever you need to feel at home Her presence is very warm and welcoming

The motel itself is not bad It’s very nice and well priced My only complaint would be 1 the balcony door was left opened when we arrived and 2 the bathtub wasn’t cleaned before we came in, but it was a 2 minute job for me to do myself But I’m still here with the love of my life and we’ve had an incredible time Big thanks to Rose for being an amazing, comfortable, personable energy to be around She deserves a RAISE Also… I be seeing shadows… possibly haunted… but it’s a cool shadow They don’t be doing anything weird Just passing through at weird times Would recommend 🙂

The shower needs a lime and rust remover done to the shower head Water literally went everywhere but on youVery dog friendly and accommodating

There is a small turf area for the dogs We walked ours around the block and up to the beachBreakfast was pretty good You can make your own wafflesIce machine was broke and had to go down to the next floor but not a big dealStaff was so friendly There is a little arcade on the second floor your kids can go play that is not too expensiveGreat distance to the beach and restaurantsWill be back again

This was our 5th time staying at this hotel We normally have had a great stayGood:Rooms were nice and roomy

Showers and bathrooms clean Upon arrival the front staff was very friendlyGood location and pet friendlyEasy beach access when it’s openBad:The elevator floors are dirty from dogs or people stepping in the dog waste and tracking in the elevatorWaffle batter was poor, almost like water day 2 and 3 Juice machine did not work first day Fruit was old and discoloration had set in Tables were not cleaned and could not find a kitchen staffNo maid service while we were at the hotelOverall:Normally this is a very nice property and always had good stay Just could have been due to the early spring and weather that contributed to these issues Worth a try

My husband and I went to Ocean City MD for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary We decided to stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites because we wanted to take our fur baby We paid more than $300 for one night which we did not care much but we were so disappointed with our stay

The only good thing was that our dog could stay with us The room’s floor was so dirty you can tell it has not been cleaned in a while It was not dusted, the lamps had so much dust But what was the worst part was the horrible smell in the bathroom It smelled like wet towels but 10x worst I checked the towels in the bathroom they did not smell The horrible smelled came from the shower curtain which was cloth material and there was not a plastic curtain, it was just the cloth one It is beyond me that housekeeping cannot change the shower curtain as it is nearly impossible to ignore the horrible smell as soon as you enter the bathroom I was going to say something but my husband said we are here just for one night, do not say anything But I am leaving this review maybe someone from the hotel will read it for the housekeeping to do a better job The steam iron in the room had marks showing people obviously burned clothes, I called the front desk to bring another one, they sent someone but the steam iron was worst or the same than the one in the room It was a bad experience overall, we will not be returning anytime soon

Dawn Kauffman

We have stayed in Dewey many times but never in this hotel We chose this for the ocean front rooms and kitchenette option The staff here was incredibly helpful and FRIENDLY! The room and surrounding areas were clean and well maintained

Now, if you’re looking for brand new, high end amenities, this might not be the place for you Some areas are a bit dated and could use some love However, our room with a corner view right on the beach, was remodeled and inviting The bed was firm but comfy Could have used softer, fluffier blanketsThe kitchenette was clean and very useful, however, could have been better stocked with cookware and utensilsOver all, I’d highly recommend staying here! You can’t beat the view, proximity to the beach and the staff was exceptional!

Julz Bo

Great Price Beautiful Views – even in winter :-)Hotel is older but room was comfortable and updated No elevator BUT there is a dumb waiter for luggage! The floor to ceiling window in the Ocean Front room gives fantastic views of the beach and ocean

Staff was very friendly I would highly recommend and hope to stay there again

Marc Phd

Wanted to find a place to stay overnight so we didn’t have to drive in the morning to enjoy the beach This was the perfect for us this time The lay out is a bit different; no elevator; only a dumb waiter (for luggage) available which helps

We booked the room (#202) with the view of the beach (Direct Ocean Front room) It was great ‼️ We would have loved it if it had a balcony, but still a wonderful sight to wake up seeing the sunrise glistening off the waters and illuminating the sand from our room We even got lucky to see pods of dolphins 🐬 swim/play up the coast (uploaded the video you can watch on here) ‼️They don’t have anyone after 8pm (security available after, no worries there), so be sure to call them if you’re going to arrive anywhere close or after that time There’s an outdoor lock box that you can access when you arrive The sign on the front door will explain this in detailAt the end, it’s worth the stay‼️

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was fantastic The breakfast was good and coffee was available all day long I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the set up of the rooms

The hotel is also pet friendly (a big plus to all of the pet owners out there) We will likely stay at this hotel again during our next visit to Ocean City

Rosemary Lopez

Pros: Room was clean, parking was plentiful, close to beach so we could easily walk over, pool was heated and open late, lots of great racial diversity visiting Room was sizableCon: cable in the room was a challenge without channel guide and the cable didn’t list them on the screen

Coffee was really watery on multiple days so we just gave up and went to local cafes No milk alternatives

Dave Lombardo

25 starsPros: walking distance to the beach, room was clean and modern, breakfast included, and ample parking

Cons: No balcony to put beach gear and they need to add an outdoor station to wash the sand off your stuff and feet before coming in Also, the breakfast area is tiny and was very busy most morningsThe pool area has a shower and foot wash but you end up needing to drag everything into the pool area to use it Not ideal

Nice hotel The only complaint is the bathrooms are small They replaced the old continental breakfast with warm breakfast options which you pick from and they have it ready at the time specified

I would like to see the pop-tarts, mini- donuts ,etc for those who just want a snack type breakfast They do have muffins, bagels and a waffle maker The staff is super friendly and helpful Parking lot is tight Easy access to the beach Our family has been coming to this hotel for a week in the summer for 30+ years

Whitney Stevenson

First time to the Delaware beaches and we absolutely loved our stay at the Atlantic View!! Perfect for kids with pool and right on the beach with direct access Loved that they had complimentary beach chairs, breakfast, and cookies each night Staff was amazing and very friendly/helpful

Rooms are clean – the bathrooms are small but other than that it was the perfect spot!

Kristy Leppla

We really enjoyed our stay The place is clean, staff is friendly We loved the breakfast and the cookies in the evening

Wine and cheese offered every night and can’t beat the location, steps away from the beach The pool is a little small and we could hear people walking around in the room above us late at night Those are the only two complaints They even gave both of my girls balloons for their birthday We will be back!

Pat and Marc at the front desk are fantastic We stayed in April for our anniversary, just my husband and I

and then returned for memorial day with our 5 year old son They are extremely friendly and accommodating, and we’re wonderful with our little guy The housekeeping staff, bartenders, and all other staff are just as great Our room was very clean, and if we needed anything, they were quick to fulfill the request as housekeeping is only provided upon request now Which was fine for us! The pools were clean and our son had a blast We enjoy staying at double tree for all of these reasons, and THE VIEW! Definitely recommend!

Jim Ghanayem

We just returned from our stay here and I really want to express my deepest gratitude to the management and staff At the beginning of the summer, my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer A very kind and generous family friend booked our family a very nice ocean view room so that my family could stay they for a couple days

My sister, who was staying in a condo close by and her entire family was also able to come spend time with us at this location I want to particularly thank Mario Santos and manager, Jacob Robins for their service that was above and beyond reasonable expectations You see, my friend had booked a Tuesday night and Wednesday night for us, but after a recent ER visit with my Dad, I got the dates mixed up and accidentally came in on Wednesday At first, it looked like we were only going to be able to stay one night, primarily because the hotel was completely booked for Thursday night However, Mario had compassion on us and our situation and advocated for us I don’t know how he did it, but Jacob figured out a way to allow us to stay in our same room on Thursday night at no extra charge We will never forget Mario and Jacob’s kindness to us, nor will my sister and I (along with our families) ever forget the wonderful time we were able to spend together with our Dad Pat, another staff person showed particularly good service as well and were very impressed with the hospitality and kindness all of their staffThis time was enhanced by the outstanding amenities at this location Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool with an ocean view, the large common area complete with gas fire pit, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and games to enjoy, and of course instant access to the beach If you want to spend a wonderful time you’ll never forget with your family, I don’t think there is a better location in all of Ocean City

Robin Detweiler

Our stay was excellent mostly because of the amenities that came along with the hotel We stayed Thursday-Sunday The roof top pool and pool bar were fantastic

We also enjoyed the location as we were right on the beach We didn’t have too much noise at night, which was helpful because we had our 7 year old and this is his first time staying away on vacation The one thing that didn’t sit right with me was the comforter on one of our beds had pink/reddish stains all over it We peeled back both comforters and didn’t use them all weekend because we just weren’t sure they were very clean We would have liked extra sheets available in the closet or just clean comforters I had called the front desk once during our stay and asked for fresh towels and for housekeeping to come change our trash We did get fresh towels so we were grateful, though we felt bad about the trash because nobody came to change it once during our stay By the time we were leaving we had some recycling, etc and just felt wrong leaving it a little messy There was also no complimentary breakfast (of course we knew about this prior) but I do believe that would make for a nice meal touch considering Marlin Moon has excellent food and that’s the restaurant in their hotel Otherwise a very nice stay with friendly housekeepers and front desk staff The bartenders at the pool bar were great Overall a really great weekend for us Thank you!

Outdoor pool area is nice and beach access is good Indoor pool was very cold and a little cloudy First floor rooms feel like a cave unless you book oceanfront(no outside access, no real window, room is below grade)

No fan in the bathroom made the whole room muggy after showers Birds in atrium are cool but the bearded dragons looked a little limp Needs an update, if we were staying more than 2 nights would’ve needed to change rooms No balcony/view is a huge negative on vacation Coffee was good Game room not exciting and fitness center clean but sparse

Salvatore P Pantano

The location is great, right on the beach Walk from hotel directly to beach It is an older hotel but still a good place to stay

They have indoor and outdoor pools A Cafe with bar to get a bite to eat or a drink The tropical birds in the hotel are a very nice to look at and talk to The front desk staff is very nice and helpful If you a planning a trip to Ocean City Maryland check them out

Erik Whisker

There were a few things I feel the hotel overlooks but overall I rate the hotel at 90% Accordingly, brooms are needed for first floor balconies The sliding doors need check for efficient operation

Perhaps incorporate a Continental Breakfast The sand behind the hotel could use raking to help clean litter The parrots are awesome and two nice pools plus staff are helpful

The room was clean, it had a full kitchen with some supplies The breakfast is AMAZING, highly recommend the breakfast burrito You can hear the music if you sit on your balcony

It has a shuttle bus stop not a full block away You can walk to the liquor store, to food, The Sandbar and they have the restaurant, which is fun! My only issue was where the AC is located It makes being on the balcony hot when it’s running! But the view it’s too beautiful to care too much about this!

Carol

This was our first time to ocean beach and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel The room was clean and the view was breathtaking Every staff member I met was cheerful and ready to help with anything I needed

The hotel is in a convenient location and parking is a plus Having Coconuts next door was a plus and the music set off the week We had a fantastic getaway and will definitely be back Thanks to all staff for a great job

M HH

The location is close to restaurants, the amusement park you would have to drive to the boardwalk unless you were feeling energetic, the staff was extraordinary helpful and a great sense of humor We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage the rooms were spacious, beds comfortable the only downside, only one TV which was in the living room ( but that’s a personal preference)

The food and drinks at coconuts bar and grill was delicious We really enjoyed the fries with queso sauce I will definitely stay there again

Horrible service, poor quality rooms The rooms were damp The beds were extremely uncomfortable

My wife and I could barely sleepThe pillows were half the size of a normal pillow The tv had no signal The hallways reeked of weed When I asked multiple times for a blanket for the bed due to sub-par sheets and blankets on the bed originally, I was told no that they didn’t have one So a whole hotel doesn’t apparently have a single blanket The staff was rude when I asked as well I can’t believe I spent 1,000 dollars for 3 nights for this place I’ll make sure every other website they’re on gets the same review

Jenna Kealer

Average at best hotel Not worth the expensive price in the summer Walls were paper thin so you can hear everything in the hallways and the rooms next door

Our hairdryer in the room did not work so we called the front desk to ask for a replacement and they did absolutely nothing about it, and basically said “sorry, we don’t have an another” You cannot advertise online that we would have a working hairdryer in the room if it does not work and you have no solution to fix it Towels were small and scratchy Would recommend staying somewhere else if you are staying in Dewey Beach

Mark Bortle

Great room for the price 2 minute Walk to beach On beach side

Great assortment of coffee in lobby including hot chocolateParking wasn’t a problem, 18ft truckWithin walking distance of some great restaurants and novelty shops

The complimentary breakfast was nice and hot and many available spaces to eat The bar drinks were also very good I gave it 3 stars because although the drinks were nice the bartender touches the top of the black straws with her hands When I seen that twice, I went with the bigger ones That’s not sanitary The indoor pool area was cold Not the pool the area, so when you walk in it’s cold in there I never got in the pool There were towels left on the floor and chairs About time I went back later that night it was more towels and even on the balcony chairs The biggest issue was the room wasn’t that clean It was a receipt that wasn’t ours in the fridge The utensil drawer had water in it One of the bed spreads had a hole in it The wall near the table looked like it had blood on it As if someone killed a bug on the wall It really grossed me out! This hotel needs an entire new cleaning crew The rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom Also to stay on top of cleanliness in other areas in the hotel

An amazing place Probably one of the best hotels in the OC area We came here with 7 people, for a small vacation

The room we got fit us all perfectly, except for the fact that our 7-year-old had to sleep on the floor But of course he didn’t mind 😉 The beds were very comfortable, the pull out could be better, we put two teenagers on it and they were very uncomfortable I think they could be better, but the service and employees are amazing Never had a problem and all are just all around kind and very helpful The breakfast is good, only complaint is the maple syrup, tastes watery and more like honey then syrup The pools are so nice, and the balcony is so amazing to stand on at night and look at the city, since it faces one of the main roads Would totally come back and recommend 💯 Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Marriott!!

We had asked to change our room due to a cleanliness issue and the front desk attendant was very helpful in assigning us a new room The new room was much better – you could smell how much cleaner it was the moment you walked in This new room was even on a higher floor with a better view

There was a problem with the air conditioner unit in the room where it would randomly turn off We called down about this and the attendant said this was an ongoing issue He said he would attempt to reset it It still didn’t work by morning, but it would randomly kick back on then turn off again Thankfully, the weather was cooler and there was a nice breeze we could take advantage of by opening the balcony door The location is great You are within walking distance of Fagers, Denny’s, and a cafe that serves breakfast on the corner Parking was not an issue The bar on site has nice relaxed seating options and windows that face the bay Overall, we would probably give this place another try in the future Although there were a couple issues, the employees did a great job trying to remedy those issues and never made us feel like a burden

When we arrived on Sunday, August 7, check in was very busy but the front desk staff handled it extremely well Our room overlooked the lobby area where breakfast is served I was not pleased with this

I was feeling a little claustrophobic not having a window to look out of Also after driving six hours I wanted an outside view The next morning I went down to the front desk and asked for a room change I must say that Jeff and Jacob at the front desk were amazing at finding another room for us, with a water view Every employee that we encountered were very friendly and helpful but Jeff and Jacob really go above and beyond in their jobs Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is a great location, less than a block from the beach, Jolly Trolley stops right at the hotel, spent the evenings at the pier watching the sunset, loved having breakfast included The rooms were very roomy There were 4 of us in a room and there was plenty of space Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends and family

Though the room was reasonably priced and lovely, the hotel places a hold on your card of the room price PLUS $50 per night (I didn’t know this until arrival but that’s probably my fault for not reading the fine print) Upon exit, they then actually charge you the price of the room… before the bank releases the initial hold So over $400 of my money was tied up unexpectedly for 3 days (happened to be over the holiday which really sucked)

Management said there was nothing they could do I was told it does not happen this way if you use a credit card (I used my debit)… but I was also told the hold would be released within 24 hours and that was untrue Additionally, upon arrival, my room was 99 degrees, maintenance had to come and replace the thermostat This was resolved in a fairly timely matter (considering) Outside of that, the room was nice – we were there for 3 days No microwave but they do have a mini fridge which was helpful Rooms are not maintained throughout your stay so garbage piled up, but we were able to go get additional towels, wash cloths and garbage bags from the front desk

Everyone was friendly and the AC was nice and cold in the room Being able to take our dog with us was Also great Having free breakfast was a plus as well

The areas that could use some improvement would be the indoor pool and the parking situation You can only use their indoor pool (the outdoor pool are not for hotel users) but it’s only 3 feet deep lol Their parking is underground and if you travel with a cargo box on top of you vehicle you will probably have to take it completely off before going in I believe anything over 75 feet won’t fit There are NO signs before going into the garage so be aware

It’s a generic hotel nothing special so don’t get too excited, but they execute the business model well It has no beach vibes and no terraces or balconies, but for what it is as a generic chain they really do great The highlight is the workers, they are super clean and attentive and friendly

Location is really family friendly as well being close to the beach and ice cream shop Its also super close to tail chasers which is a great place to take the family and tie one off (have a few drinks) since they have a playground there One downside about location is the candy shop attached to the hotel Seems like a good thing for kids but really it just invites drama everytime you walk outside 😂 Otherwise I wouldn’t shy away from this place again considering it’s budget friendly

Room and overall stay was great! Only complaint is that the shower was built kind of weird Only had a half glass shield by the shower head with the water spraying ( of course) down on the opened, opposite side and the floor got excessively wet whenever we showered The design was sleek and nice but the usage of it fell flat

We had to use all of our room towels on the floor just to keep the floor somewhat dry and to keep us from slipping on the soaked tile

Ian Peterson

Hotel was overall nice However this hotel, like some others, think its OK to put a piece of glass that only covers half the shower There is no curtain or any sliding glass door and so a significant amount of water gets on the floor outside the shower

Its not that big of a deal, but the whole idea of having no real way of keeping water in the shower is stupid to me

Location was great, short walk to the beach Breakfast was decent, some items were the same daily and some items switched up Front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant to talk to

Room was as clean and comfortable Cleaning service was missed a couple days and had to go to the desk to get towels and toilet paper Parking was good, but note you only get one parking tag per room Other cars have to be parked across the street Overall, nice comfortable stay

John Skerl

Great location within walking distance of the beach and several restaurants / attractions Room was clean and staff was very accommodating, even when losing our room keys on multiple occasions Parking on site was a little tight, but being able to park under a roof was a plus in the heat and sunshine

Didn’t have coffee at breakfast the last 2 mornings but there are a couple of donut shops nearby that had good coffee

Jennifer Esquivel

Customer service was AMAZING from the beginning! On my way to the hotel I realized I forgot my drivers license but I had my passport which was expired I called and they said no worries they will be able to use that The room 417, was exactly what we were expecting

The room was super clean! The free breakfast was great too They served eggs, sausage gravy, sausage patties, pancakes, French toast sticks, cereal, muffins, yogurt, bagels, toast, orange & cranberry juice along with coffee It was great! Joe and his co-worker up front were so nice I would totally recommend this place The only thing is they don’t have a pool other then that everything was great!
