Some of the worst costumer service I’ve ever dealt with Our family stayed for a wedding and were treated terribly They mistakenly cancelled a room incorrectly, which caused a lot of frustration and rearranging

Instead of apologizing, the lady at the front desk told my aunt when she checked in: “you’re my worst nightmare” Later when my uncle checked in, the same lady told him: “you’re group is the worst I’ve ever had” No guest should every be spoken to so rudely

Sierra Kurtz

Bed felt like a box spring not a mattress screen in window was torn apart Old grimey disgusting shower heads with terrible water pressure cobwebs everywhere Two upstairs soda machines that don’t work and one downstairs that only carries a few things that no one really likes

Light switch that does NOTHING, older white woman is extremely rude there is a black woman that works there however that is extremely kind Such a sweetheart The room itself was cleaned nicely mirrors were disgusting tho And direct tv? Really? Come on

It’s rare I have nothing negative to say about a hotel stay, but our 3 night stay at Avid was perfect Great value for the money The hotel is newer and the rooms were clean, nice large TV

Grab and go breakfast included in the morning that was always fully stocked with a good variety of choices Fresh coffee, tea, and water available all day All the staff we encountered was super nice You don’t get housekeeping everyday, but that’s pretty normal now They did come change out trash and swap out the towels right away when we requested it Good location with stores and restaurants nearby I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Char Custom

The staff are great and rooms are clean but there are design flaws that make it hard to sleep here The rooms have mirrors that reflect bright bathroom lights onto the bed which are motion activated and cannot be turned on or off The doors are also very heavy and slam, no matter how hard you try to resist them slamming, waking everyone in the surrounding rooms

The temperature controls also drift and even when we kept air-conditioning on all night at 66 it would climb ten degrees after a few hours and you would boil in the bedThe TV was amazing though

I was in town for a funeral and this hotel was the closest to my friend’s house It was convenient and close to shopping and local restaurants The room was clean and efficient, as it seemed to be a toned down version of your standard room, (e

g, no stationary, local directory, etc)The breakfast was decent enough for a free breakfast Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches are kind of gross and were the only real savory option givenOther than the breakfast, it was a good stay The staff was cool and the price is what I expected to spend on a hotel off the interstate

Amazing place to relax and enjoy comfortable rooms with an excellent dining experience located within this fine establishmentThe staff goes above and beyond to ensure their visitors are bestowed with the best energy possible, I will continue to visit The Delafield Hotel in the future for years to comeJacuzzi rooms are awesome as well, unwind with hot jets and the comfort of the spacious quarters

Not your ordinary hotel Wonderful accommodations Very nice sized rooms

You won’t trip over your luggage in this room Bed is very, very comfortable Bathroom is a real bathroom – you don’t have to climb in the tub to shut the door to the bathroom The shower should have a timer on it as it is too much fun Two TV’s; one in the sitting area; the other faces the bed On site restaurant completes the package Close enough to “downtown” that you can walk anywhere Very quiet Only things hotel could consider – more/better lighting in bathroom for applying makeup (wife’s suggestion) and USB outlets for charging laptops, phones, etc (husband’s suggestion)

Charlotte Nimmer

My husband and I stayed at The Delafield hotel this March for my birthday When we checked in and went up to our room, we entered into a freezing cold room where the thermostat read 59 degrees The room itself was also probably the worst room in the entire hotel, it was small and very claustrophobic feeling, with only one tiny window

We called the front desk, who told us to give it time, it’s a new system No thank you, we’d like to go to bed and not freeze for the rest of the night As a side note, we had been warned by my sister and husband about this exact situation, which had been their experience in January They were given a chilly room and told to wait it out We requested a new room, and when we walked into this one, it was only slightly warmer than the first The hallway leading to the room was warmer than the room itself This was totally unacceptable for what we paid for an upscale hotel I went down once more and said that we needed a new room The concierge put us in what he said was an “upgrade”, which meant a double king room (2 separate king beds) At this point we just wanted a warm, inhabitable room and would settle with it The room was set at 72 degrees, which was ok but there were massive cold drafts coming through the 2 poorly insulated windows After all this running around and changing floors and rooms, we were completely annoyed and not very happy with our situation, especially as this was my birthday and we had to waste our time on something that should be a given at any hotel Unfortunately, this was not the end to our disappointment The next morning, I woke up with itchy red bite marks on my leg The hotel manager addressed this very quickly and seriously once informed, and immediately had the room and surrounding rooms checked by pest control Thankfully there were no bugs found, so I can only surmise that this was just an unlucky fluke for me The manager also spoke with us personally and apologized for our not up to standard stay, and she graciously gave us a full refund for our troubles I greatly appreciate her management of the situation, I hope that we can give The Delafield Hotel another try again in the future, as it is one of the few lovely hotels in the Milwaukee area

Old AmericInn pushing like it’s on it’s last leg Maybe I’m picky but there’s a list of things could be upgraded for the price to comparable hotels nearby Let me explain

Rooms smell like old basement Air conditioner has car freshener “Glade” inside the vents in attempt to mask the smell but obviously not working The “included breakfast” is bagged take out of banana, granola bar, orange juice, snack muffin and water There are no elevators in this hotel No support from staff to setup room tv for CC (closed caption) since I’m hearing impaired Bathroom fans are blowing air INTO the bathroom as opposed to sucking the air out of the bathroom No grab bars in shower Coffee maker has 6″ powercord and the only place to operate this is on the limited sink countertop space No doorman and generally seems like just one person managing front desk Whirl pool is out of commissionI definitely cannot recommend this hotel This is not what at I would call quality hotel The only plus I saw was one nice gentleman working the front desk answering questions in a friendly mannerPaying a discount at $129 for room + $16 tax/fee per night was nowhere near my expectations Will never visit here again

lornasback68

The owner was great Very friendly and helpfulHowever, the room smelled funky

No breakfast was provided (it stated online and in the book in the room breakfast was provided) This is an older building without any elevator, which we did not know prior to arrival It is a good thing to know We were on the 2nd floor and had luggage and a coolerThe bed was super comfortable The water pressure in the shower was excellent

Ellie G

NEEDS an update I felt okay sleeping in the beds and sheets were nice and clean, but the rest of it needs to be updated Mildew smell in the bathroom, very small

Hallways had plug in air fresheners to cover up smells Current breakfast is a small “sack lunch” to go Staff was friendly and check in and out was smooth Could be a nice little hotel with some needed upgrades

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable The fitness room was a joke The TV wouldn’t come on nor the treadmill

I took a Clorox wipe to wipe down the equipment I used and it was filthy!!! I meant to take pictures but forgot The elevator is EXTREMELY SLOW!! The breakfast looked good We didn’t eat though All in all I would stay here again

James Nielsen

Prices for these rooms are NOT worth it Elevator worked 1/2 of the time Kids running up and down the hallways all hours of the night and staff did nothing

The hot tub was constantly filled with kids, even when they’re not supposed to be in the hot tub without parental supervision No adult time whatsoever This is NOT the place to come and relax You will leave more stressed than when you came Trust me My wife and I will NEVER come here again!

Outdoors With Shawn

For the money, this hotel was nice The rooms were clean and well equipped with a good sized fridge, microwave & coffee maker The entire staff from the front desk, breakfast attendant to the housekeeping personnel were very friendly and professional

It was nice to see a good breakfast spread that even had cheese omelets on the weekendThe hotel is nice inside and out and was happy to say we were staying here It’s very conveniently located just off the interstate with lots of shopping very close by Definitely will stay here again when the time comesMy mom and I were visiting the area after the passing of her mother We weren’t in our best times, but our stay here helped more than we expected The cleanliness, amenities and personnel made our stay great Finding a nice place to stay while here to keep our mind off the reason we were here was a plusThank you

Allison Ensley

The service was amazing Pool and hot tub were an added bonus for the kids! The room was nice and clean Although the beds did not seem like a standard size Queen, they were quite comfy

Pillows were also comfy The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the shower made an awful high pitched sound during my entire shower Breakfast is your usual free hotel breakfast, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast and bagels, and a microwaveable breakfast sandwich Will stay here again when visiting my family there

Kathryn Adelsen

I travel a lot with my dog, decided to try this hotel for this trip Average stay I was there Sunday night at the beginning of our trip and the following Saturday night on our return trip from Minnesota

pool is nice Friendly staff Breakfast is basic However my issue is with the rooms and exterior both the pet rooms we were assigned had Black dog hair from previous guests all over the bathroom floor especially by the wall edges and the Sunday room had some Human hair stuck to the shower The pet relief area was hard to access due to snow and no plow had been through Saturday night and side entrance sidewalks and door was covered in snow I asked the front desk about why no snow plow had been through upon checkout, and she said she would call someone but it was 915 Am Usually plow services are through early I almost fell outside getting my luggage out of car and into the hotel Saturday night I expected better/clean pet rooms since there was the fee which I assumed was for extra cleaning but 2 different rooms on opposite ends of the building with similar conditions makes it not seem that way Seems like it could be a better hotel with a little more attention to the rooms and shoveling the side entry sidewalk would have been nice on Saturday night Hotel Didn’t seem that busy so I don’t think it would take much more effort from staff I would’ve shoveled if there was one by the door

John was a FANTASTIC host and accommodated us so graciously! We had a big group come and rent out 10 of the rooms for an overnight stay and it couldn’t have worked out more perfectly! We were able to hang out in the 3 season room with our group and some of the other common areas The rooms were absolutely lovely; and I appreciated the history and authenticity of the inn And, to top it all off, the French toast John made us the next morning was the best I have ever tasted

We love this place!

Lisa Engels

We had such a wonderful experience during our stay! The lady who worked the front desk took time to walk us through the house and showed us all of the neat details or common rooms It was just a beautiful, Cozy, feeling all through the house John, the owner, put together a lovely breakfast for all of us and you can sit and get to know the other people who are staying there at the same time

I would HIGHLY recommend staying here Just great people trying to make sure that you are having your best time We will definitely be back!

Austin Mikoulinskii

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! Unfortunately, there is no pool, which is why my review is 4/5 stars The website still promotes the pool amenity, there are pictures of it Unfortunately, after talking to some other guests that were staying, the pool got filled up a year ago

I wish the website would have defected this and provides this information as my partner and I were excited to be somewhere with a pool (or so we thought) Beside that, the rooms were absolutely beautiful, along with the rest of the Inn Everyone was so incredibly friendly, especially the owner when we would come down for breakfast We had breakfast twice during our stay and each morning he brought us a new, creative breakfast Everything was absolutely delicious! The location was fantastic, as well! We were 15 minutes walking distance from downtown which made it easy to go out for the night and let loose Overall, an amazing place and we definitely plan to be coming back!

This is not a premier hotel, but the staff was premier I accidentally had booked the wrong night and arrived a night before my reservation, but the late night staff went above and beyond to accommodate The morning staff, as well as the cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful

There were recent updates to the room we stayed in which were nice For the price, this stay (pool/hot tub/breakfast included) was great

Virginia Castillo

Oh my gosh I had the best experience with the young gentleman at the front desk He was so sweet and very polite He told me about all the available things the hotel had to offer

Thank you so much Timothy you were awesome and a great help after traveling all day on the road My family and I hope to see you again on our way back home Keep up the hard work you do for your customers I am so pleased with the customer service you offer me

Tiffany Nimm

When I called to make a reservation, the front desk attendant assured me they would have plenty of rooms available Come time to check in initially was told they were booked full then, continued to go over the price I was quoted at, which was later changed however still more than 100 dollars over the quote The housekeeping was fine the pool was closed for two days and the front desk all besides one was rude an un friendly

Over all very disappointed

Purchased two day passes The bar is not open during the week A security man directed us to walk through the hotel to purchase drinks from the restaurant

Then to follow up the next time saying we can’t walk through the hotel We have to enter outside during a pandemic while wet from a water park to purchase drinks to bring back through ? Are you serious? 40$ Is already over priced for the small amenities that were open The hot tub outside portion is closed The cyclone was closed The bar is closed The front desk is closed There is a huge line for check in due to there is only one employee in the arcade taking care of everything The bar tender at the restaurant was very nice and accommodating However the man who claims to be security but wouldn’t even help the poor girl in arcade is terrible ! Won’t be back

This hotel is very nice and appears clean However, the service here is not good We stayed 4 nights and didn’t use the water park at all

I read in an earlier response on a review that they don’t do housekeeping services for the room unless you are staying 4 nights or more That would be fine if you could at least get the necessities taken care of I called for fresh towels twice, on different days and never got them Had to send my husband for toilet paper as they didn’t even replenish that Family in another room took their own trash out I get the “due to covid” excuse for reducing housekeeping services, but they shouldn’t be completely eliminated, which is honestly how it seemed I even asked the housekeeping one day for towels and while one of them were friendly and explained that I needed to call down to the front, the other housekeeper butted in and stated “we aren’t doing towels today, we are trying to clean” as she was furiously mopping the floor in the room across the hallIt wasn’t all bad Michael in the dining room has a great sense of humor and was awesome to give a hard (jokingly) time to The bartender that was down there last night, 6/19/22, was awesome I unfortunately didn’t catch his name However he was right on top of refills and foodOverall it was a so so experience We check out of the hotel today so at least I’ll be able to get fresh towels when I get back homeImprove on housekeeping services and friendliness of your staff and this would be a place I’d probably return And honestly, for guests staying 4 nights and paying the cost of this room, they should be able to get their room necessities replenished at least every other day Change the trash and towels, refill the toilet paper I don’t care if the bed isn’t made although that is always a plusAnyway, that’s my two cents I wish this hotel lots of luck and getting quality staff to turn a lot of these negative experiences around

Greg Lindemann

Our stay was amazing! We had great customer service The hotel staff was accommodating, helpful and friendly The manager, Juve, was attentive and took the time to talk with us

We had drinks in the water park with Ken, who was Awesome!!!! He was personal and had a very chill vibe, which is necessary when so many kids are running and swimming around! We came down to Didi’s to order dinner and Kendra was super friendly, funny and quick to deliver drinks when she was busy We are a large group (3 adults, 5 kids) and we would absolutely come back here again!!!
