I stayed here for a night, it was cozy, and nice Got to the room and everything seemed clean, from the floors, to the desks, and bathroom My room had a huge T

V which was pretty cool, and next to it was a small desk and a roller chair The TV desk had drawers and by the bathroom had a small space to hang your clothes so this room had a lot of space to put your clothes etc & also the lobby has snacks, drinks you can buy Got myself an ice cream cone and water to drink since it was a long travel so not needed to go to the store which was convenient for me Also saw there was a nice pool, and the view at night is pretty with all the lights I’ll come back again when I’m in town Definitely recommend this

Black mold was present in the bathroom and the showers soap holder was broken and missing Paint was used haphazardly and left shoddy marks Peephole was broken and had tissue used to fill hole

The door was badly maintained and locks were poorly installed The quality of this hotel is very poor and should be avoided, spend a bit more and stay at the holiday inn

Myá Ramos

Most disgusting hotel i’ve ever stayed at The owner is rude and only solution was to “check out” instead of just giving us clean sheets The light in the bathroom never worked and he wanted us to bang on it super hard instead of just giving us functioning room

The cleaners also go into your room but don’t do anything which defeats the purpose of entering in the first place When the cleaner was showed how dirty the sheets were she snapped at us and yelled “do you want me to change them or not” Would never recommend this place to anyone, the other Motel 6 in Santa Maria is way nicer and has more friendly staff

daniel garcia

This motel 6 really sucked the attendant were dirty clothes and look like he was on crystal meth decided for bowls and out our room was told to be ready at 3:00 when me and my sister want to check in at 6:30 the room was not ready there’s no remote in the TV area the curtain for barely hanging and the screen dirt would not open or closed the room rate of disinfected motel 6 you need to straighten out and clean up that particular hotel I will not be staying there anymore you think for $149 that would be pretty nice and nifty my sister could not stay there she left therefore I kept her room and did not register mine but I’ll never pay $149 for a box like that hotel 6 you should be ashamed of yourself and I was there in Santa Maria to visit my terminally ill daughter not good

This place is a scamI booked the place as it was half way from my destination I arrived around midnight

There was no one to check us in We called the hotel, tried reaching them via chat, knocked at the attendant’s window, ringed the bell for 30 minutes, no one ever showed up They claimed to the booking site that we arrived too late to check in, so we wouldn’t provide any credit They also claimed that somehow we managed to stay with them that night Do not waste your money

Sandra Del Toro

I never was able to check in the guy at front desk stated I didn’t have reservations then I showed him my confirmation number then he lied and said my card declined when I had already prepaid it then he said he didn’t have anymore rooms This guy is such a fraud, you can not trust these kind of people Had to go to another hotel at 1 in the morning! Terrible

victor ayon

With all being said I won’t ever stay here again so many cons about this place , customer service was horrible so rude about anything that was asked and did NOT get the help I needed about stuff around the room sheets were stained there was no shampoo provided and there was no room phone , wifi was not provided until I asked for it Horrible horrible NEVER AGAIN

Nice hotel that sits feet away from the airport runway There is minimal airport traffic so the occasional taxis and take off of a small jet is a welcomed sight You can see the runways from the bar or on sight restaurant along with many of the rooms

The food is very good with most plates $25 and up Overall a great place to end a busy day working or playing Great for families or those on business

A Job

We had a suite and a room Neither were clean We used to stay here all the time

It was very disappointing to see how the place has gone down We are still in a pandemic The room and suite were filthy, they did not even vacuum There was trash from the prior occupants left in the suite They did not put any soap out We ordered extra sets of towls so that we could clean the suite and room ourselves Thank God we bring cleaning material DON’T TOUCH THE TELEPHONES OR REMOTES without cleaning them The phones and the remotes left their white towels BLACK I hope they don’t think that was our dirt! We left lots of disposable gloves in the trash from cleaning We did not even sleep in the beds–who knows if the maids changed them If they did not even empty the trash or vacuum, who knows Praise God it was for one night We could not wait to leave! Oh, but, my brother did enjoy his fish tacos The staff were friendly and those two reasons warrant a one star! Otherwise ZERO!

Victoria Barlow

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at this location I had an issue with the A/C in the room-set at 64 and it still felt warm They sent a tech up immediately who said the unit was working properly but that it was warm due to the sun coming in

However, i woke up hot, even though thermostat was set at 63, and they sent a fan up to my room It was a small fan and the staff person found another one for me It worked fine but it was very disruptive to a good night’s rest The staff was helpful and friendly The location doesn’t offer a free breakfast

Courtney Hamilton

Not worth $200 a night, $60 maybe? Old, rundown, falling apart (literally) New floors and a couple nice pictures does not hide the bad/dirty/missing parts furniture, missing light bulbs, very loose sink faucet, and busted curtains and microwave Definitely won’t be staying here again

Will definitely spend a little more for a better stay elsewhere

Annie Nelson

I have 2 words for this place: KEEP DRIVING! Two double beds that left no room to get out of bed on one side of each bed Seriously double beds?! We tried the TV & couldn’t get any channel besides fox news Went to call the manager & the light above the phone didn’t work but that was no big deal because the phone didn’t work

I’m disabled & was in a lot of pain & couldn’t have walked to the office My boyfriend could & he fetched the manager who did something to the TV to make it work When I told him the phone didn’t work, he told us to use our cellphone Yes, the phone was plugged in When I told him just wait until I post my review & he actually laughed He didn’t care I don’t know how well the pictures show but the wall next to the bed was dirty, the A/C vents wouldn’t stay in place, a lampshade had holes in it, the furniture had chips in it, the refrigerator was warm, one of the towels was stained & to top it off they had no raised toilet seat or shower chair for disabled guests! Breakfast consisted of little (& I do mean little) store-bought pastries & lousy coffee I’ve stayed in plenty of Days Inns that were nice While not far from the freeway, it is in a sketchy part of town DO NOT STAY HERE!! BTW I’ve NEVER given any review less that 3 stars before This place deserved it!

Frankie Gutierrez

Breakfast was very disappointing, we went to the lobby at 9 AM and only found 2 bars of cereal and 1 banana That’s it, nothing else Terrible for the expensive price of the night of $240

Then at night after our friend’s wedding, we couldn’t find a parking spot, so we parked next to the pool hoping we wouldn’t be towed away The next morning, the housekeepers moved those giant cars for carrying towels at 8 AM and didn’t care if the noise of those carts disturbed the guests (sounded like a railroad outside) The second day, they didn’t make the beds, which was a surprise for the pricey hotel night The hotels are not investing in refurbishing or refreshing the rooms Two days was enough We never come back worse than a third-world hotel

This spot is such a hidden gem! Myself and my partner stayed a quick night for a little staycation, and were blown away by the loveliness of the inn The house itself is stunning, an ode to a grander time The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly

It was very clean and our room felt very private It was very cold when we were there, but on a warmer evening, the beautiful front porch is the perfect place to relax The gardens are sprawling and just wonderful to walk through I can’t wait to come back and spend more time here!

I wish I could give this remodeled motel 4 stars It’s in a perfect setting with nice views and fresh air The rooms were clean, updated and the pillows were very comfortable

The pool area was cute , small but poorly maintained There were no clean towels for guest use Unfortunately no bar service at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon ?! The facility fee of $20 is just not justified The main reason I give it 3 stars is lack of customer service It was lacking and it seemed that the receptionist at check out was just not interested I won’t be coming back unless I get a discounted rate for 3 star motel Check before going if restaurant and bar service available It was a ghost motel yesterday

ReviewWe booked this trip in April for a late June stay with our 3 year old They changed their pool policy (only 21+ allowed in pool now) between that time and failed to contact us directly (we even called in April to confirm children were allowed and indicated she was coming on the reservation) We arrived and due to the lack of direct communication, received an exception for her to use the pool from the staff

On a 95 degree Monday afternoon the GM Matt came up to the 3 of us in the pool and kicked her out He asked us to remove her from the pool which caused a crazy scene because she was hot, just got into the pool, and now felt like she did something wrong because this man told her to leave to her face There was only 1 other couple in the pool and our daughter wasn’t splashing our disturbing the peace Couples around the pool even offered to take a vote because they thought she was so adorable and it was so hot out We complained at reception and was told Matt would be reaching out with an apology and potential compensation since we weren’t allowed to use the facilities It’s been a week – no apology and we were charged the full amount including pool fees Matt – you should’ve pulled one of her caretakers aside outside of the pool to speak with one us directly Telling a toddler directly she wasn’t allowed was a poor choice and stained our first trip as a family post-Covid Staff knew a child was coming, they should’ve called us directly to inform us of the policy change Will never be coming back

Excellent views, yummy food (if you like steak, get the steak), clean rooms, well decorated rooms(get the room upgrade with the private patio and fire pit it was dreamy),and overall good energy on the property and with staff If you have any customer service needs they will take care of it And if they can’t attend to them in the moment, they will find a way to make it right

Great customer service Can’t wait to return next month for another staycationPs- if you like gin, get the “important date” at the bar

My husband and I stayed at the Gypsy Suite and WOW we loved it The details of the room and the bathtub are spectacular! We’ve never been to a place like this Denise, Rod and Kathy were very nice and friendly

A gas station and restaurants are within walking distance which we loved We can’t wait to go back and stay at a different suite! Oh and before I forget the breakfast is super delicious and they bring it to the room without you having to step out or anything 10/10

I want to preface this review by saying that although our stay was marred by some major problems, I still want to go backThe Good:We stayed in the Egypt Room and it was enchanting I was worried it would be too hot but there was excellent temperature controls in the room

The theming was fantastic The bath was enormous and luxurious The shower was a standing shower that doesn’t feel cramped, and a showerhead that’s both high enough to stand over and adjustable as needed The street sounds never permeated the bedroom, and though I did hear people on the stairs it was infrequentAs some reviewers mentioned, the TV placement is a skoosh awkwardly You can see it from one side of the bed and the chaise lounge That said, we really liked the CD and kept it on as white noise (Additional thematic cds would be great!)I will also say that the food was delicious, and I loved how food etc was brought Every meal is room service at no extra cost, and it really adds to the feeling of luxury (And is great for an introvert!)The Bad:We brought up avoiding carbs when we booked our stay, and was told that while there would be some, there would be quiches and we’d be able to eat the egg and leave the shells if we wished This sounded fine At arrival, this was true for the first day, but the second day breakfast was nothing but carbs (Strudels and croissants) No mentions of our earlier request or agreement, no quiches second day I didn’t bring it up at the time because I really don’t like to complain (as you’ll see later) But I would be wary of staying here if you have dietary restrictions, especially related to blood-sugar levels (My need was based on a keto diet for that reason, but I’d already decided to not worry about it for the vacation itself)The much bigger issue:We had major plumbing issues The hot water in the shower kept cutting out, turning icy and causing pressure to dipMy husband called the number we’d been given, and the manager on duty said they’d contact the owner and get back to us I finished my shower in freezing waterLater my husband noticed the toilet was running a lot, a sound I had noticed too but assumed old building, old pipes He decided to check the well, and discovered a problem with the chain causing it to flush constantly He was able to reach in and temporarily fix it, and we agreed to just let it go for now, and talk to the manager about it when they got back to usThe manager never got back to us, so we called ourselves the next day after breakfast, brought up the discovery with the toilet Their reaction was something like ‘oh, you fixed it?’ to which I very emphatically emphasized it was absolutely not fixed, it was a bandaid They said they’d fix it for the guests after us, which I was not thrilled about, but agreed to because I’m conflict-adverseThis problem would continue to deteriorate throughout our stay until, by the end of our second (and final) night and for the rest of the stay, the toilet was completely unusable We had to ‘flush’ by dumping huge amounts of water into the well It was horrific and utterly ruined the final night (of two) and morningWe mentioned this at check out, and the manager said ‘well you mentioned you weren’t planning to leave your room’ being utterly dismissive that THERE WAS NOBASIC PLUMBING DURING OUR STAY IN THIS LUXURY HOTEL and acted like we requested this (We did not)After we left, the owner herself called and seemed much more apologetic Apparently, the first day she had called a plumber, but the manager had them sent away(!!!) after we called backOwner offered a small discount (especially considering the gravity of the issue) which I accepted mostly because I DO want to returnBut I still feel obligated to share this and emphasize that if you have issues, please stand your ground about it Don’t be like me I regret not being pushier, I might have been able to enjoy the end of the stay if I was

Amanda Carter

This place was definitely worth the 3 hour drive! The Innkeeper Denise and Ron were an absolute joy and made the overall experience very memorable We stayed for 1 night in the Roman room it was so much fun My husband and I were both blown away by the amount of detail and class this room had

The town is so charming and the Japanese soaking tub in the room will blow your socks off! If you’re looking for a place that is like no other you should make a reservation and check it out for yourself Cleanliness and customer service is very important to the owners and it shows! The breakfast was so savory and delicious it kept us full up until lunch time I’m in the process of making another reservation as I write this review! Don’t second guess this place!Treat yourself, or the ones you love to this experience of a lifetime You deserve to let your hair down and have a good time! I hope you booked something even if it is for a night

Service and locations are amazing! Can hear a little through the walls but not too bad considering they also had to listen to my almost 2 year old!Cleanliness I felt could have been better and more thorough I did a little extra cleaning on my own the first day I stayed since I would be there for a week! But no major issues which I’m always grateful!

Emily R

This was the ONLY place available within 50 miles for a last-minute stay, so we didn’t have much of a choice, and I will give credit where it’s due to their pricing algorithm that somehow managed to get us to pay $250 for a night here We were placed in a smoking room despite saying we did not want one, which was a bummer The room was tiny, dirty, paint peeling, etc but it did have clean linens and towels

The staff was really friendly Walls were thin and we heard everything our neighbors were doing Overall I wouldn’t come here if I had literally any other option, but if you don’t, you’ll survive

Bob May

Let’s remember above all, it’s a motel 6The pros and pluses

Very comfortable bed, clean sheets, room smelled good and fresh, the location was right off the freeway which made getting up in the morning and continuing our road trip a huge plus, very close to stores to get something to eat and supplies for our trip No extra charge for us packing our dog along In fact they even had a pet area to take care of businessThe cons and the minuses The AC barely worked Bookingscom advertised this place had a bathtub and it did not and the front desk host said none of the units have tubs I do daily voluntary Epsom therapy soaks for my arthritis and legs especially No tub no soak No fridge no microwave No coffee in the room But again like I mentioned in the beginning it’s a motel 6If it’s clean and sanitary especially the bed, the shower is adequate and clean, and the location is not in crime alley It’s an automatic five-star rating for a motel 6 They’re not trying to be the Hilton or the Ramada inn You’re driving like a madman down the road trying to make mileage trying to get to Southern California or wherever you’re going and you get tired and you just want a comfortable bed you can fall into fall asleep and then get up take a shower have a cup of coffee and get back on the road Motel 6 does this and they did it for about a hundred bucks but again we were in Southern California most times it’s a 65 to $80 purchase I highly recommend the Santa Maria California motel 6 The people there work very very hard and the host at the front desk was awesome I prepaid he got me in and I was resting in my room 13 minutes after I pulled into the parking lot

The Wine Stone Inn is so charming and welcoming I came with my husband for a work trip and was so happy to find this place It’s such a warm environment and the only place I’ve stayed at where I felt comfortable immediately

The rooms are cozy and well-decorated – I felt like I was at home Big thanks to Gary for always greeting us at the end of the day with a big smile and a glass of cider I accidentally had way more fun and relaxation than I anticipated on this work trip and it was all thanks to the staff here We will be back!

Wish I could give zero stars for the terrible service, especially from the rude owner! Booked a 2 bedroom room for 2 nights When we arrived we were told that they are overbooked and don’t have our reservation, despite us having proof of reservation and they had already taken payment The ‘solution’ was to give us a 1 bedroom room and move us tomorrow

No compensation offered, no genuine help offered as 4 people cannot share 1 bed!! Disgusted and appalled Stinkiest service in America and probably the world Insanely unprofessional, owner did not take any responsibility for his mistake and would not give us his name either, despite breaching his contract Do not recommend

The place is clean and modern, but the jacuzzi was removed and they’ve discontinued breakfast due to the pandemic As for the pool, that’s not there either There was a loud fight outside our room last night by some other guests but they stopped before we could call the management

Essentially, it’s not a bad place to stay at, but maybe it’s just the clientele that’s the issue, which of course the hotel can’t do much about

The bathroom was super clean, and I loved the kitchenette area The best thing is the balcony Each room has one, and I was so happy because I didn’t have to walk outside of the hotel to blaze 😉 The breakfast is cooked to order, so it was fresh 😋I got an amazing deal online and so breakfast was included with our room Thank Gosh, because their prices are a little high They have a full bar and I can’t wait to stay again on our next trip
