I stayed here during a 6 month course at Rucker from June 2021 to December 2021 Outstanding location Tucked back down a quiet road about 6 mins from post

My site had its own mailbox, residential sized trash can for weekly pickup, internet and cable hook ups My site also had lots of space and distance from neighbors (not cramped like your typical campground) Allison is outstanding and is clearly committed to improving the campground I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a campground in this area!!

lindsay brown

THIS LOCATION IS A HIDDEN GEM!! Allison is the sweetest person you will ever meet just in general She is on top of things My husband and I are new to this whole RV living thing and Allison let us borrow whatever tools we needed to get settled into our new spot

We have plenty of shade, and we are next to the river This place met my expectations and more, it’s so peaceful and quite Everyone is very nice here I have fallen in love with this lifestyle and 80% has to do with this campground

Donna Conrad

Not so happy, i have been there since May of 2021 , helping my daughters growing military family I was advised in Sept/Oct time frame that the cost was going up for 2022 so i asked several times to extend my stay before the increase, this did not happen and now in jan of 2022 they charge me more than i paid for May 21 thru Dec 2020, its for the most part a quiet campground however not worth what they are charging for 2022!

This was our first stay at a Home2 Suites, and it was excellent! The staff was very friendly and accommodating The room was spacious and comfortable The beds and pillows were so comfortable and soft, and the sheets luxuriously soft

It was the best night’s sleep I have ever had in a hotel! The rooms were nice and quiet, too No disturbances from the guests on either side Thank you for such a wonderful experience I will definitely stay at Home2 Suites again

Karen Bradish

The “Home2 Guarantee” does not apply to this hotel! I reserved 2 rooms and both of them were extremely dirty Finger prints, smudges throughout all surfaces, mold in the shower and disheveled bedding One of the rooms had BUGS

The sad thing is that another guest overheard me complaining about the bugs and ask me if they had put us in room 212 She had just been moved out of that room and Management still put us in the room I complained to the General Manager, James who has no empathy or customer service I had to insist on being moved There were no rooms that morning but James was to reserve a room for when we returned in the evening He failed to let the front desk know so when I called back to make sure, I was told they were booked I insisted that they call James and we ended up with a queen room which the TV was broken and there was no blow dryer The next morning I went down to speak with James to discuss how he planned on adjusting my bill due to all the issues we had encountered He refused to come out from behind his glass wall and sent his Assistant Manager who was very professional but not familiar with our experience James was only willing to offer us 5,000 Hilton points which we declined In the end they compensated us for the night we experienced the bugs In addition, the cleaning staff was at the elevator talking about how bad things were and they did not blame someone from quitting and they were going to next Then I was also told by the front desk that they had other rooms with King size beds but they did not have the cleaning staff to clean them Don’t waste your time, Dothan has plenty other options that want disappoint In addition, I am still dealing with incorrect billing charges on my credit card The newest hotel does not mean the best!

Victoria LoRusso

Eh The worst Home2 I have ever been too Luckily it normally it good but this wasn’t

Bathroom was dirty No body wash the container was empty Woke up every hour the place was so loud no one cared Dog wouldn’t shut up at the other end of the hall and baseball families were somehow up late and left early Suspicious stain on couch Breakfast was absolutely disgusting; not sure when that stuff was made Gym water dispenser was empty and people kept being weird watching me workout when they came in for their laundry It was NOT worth the money I paid at all and the highlight was the sunset out the gym window I would not recommend nor return

First room was not the best, but the front desk did great at moving us to another room that was just like the photos Would give 5 stars, but because of the first room and the cleanliness I did 4 The rooms were clean, but the fridge was dirty and the toilet seat was stained and should be replaced

The location is right off Fort Rucker by the museum So if you are visiting Rucker it’s great

Brianna Hicks

You have to call or be buzzed in to reach the front desk for check in It took us 3 phone numbers and finally finding another guest to get the receptionist We started with a half roll of toilet paper and never could get more from the front desk

Our towels, wash cloths, and sheets were stained Our phone in the room didn’t work Luckily, we were in town visiting family so we just needed it for sleeping Most likely will never book here again I’m ok with the covid restrictions as long as the workers actually answer the door when you buzz in

Rooms were nice and clean The beds were really comfortable The bathroom was quite spacious

Didn’t really have chance to have much interaction with the staff but the one we did interact with seemed fairly cordial The location was great! Close to practically any creature comforts you may need, restaurants, shops, gas, banks, book stores and movie theaters I am definitely looking forward to visiting this fine establishment again, next time much longer than an overnight stay for sure!!!

In response to the owner, you have addressed several concerns regarding other hotel guests Many of the issues you have identified I know nothing about nor do they pertain to the problems I identified in the original review As for my frustration, my family’s right to security and safety as your guests were compromised

We left for many reasons including the impact the lack of cleanliness could have on our family members health While my husband asked about a refund for that evening we are not surprised you did not honor it and we were okay with that It was our decision for our personal safety and health to pay for 2 rooms in one night We are blessed to afford that option It’s disappointing to see the poor customer service, lack of concern for one’s safety and health, and assumptions that you have put in your response I hope you will make some changes so that future guests have a pleasurable stay

Jennifer Powell

This place all together was pathetic We found roaches in our room that also got brought back to our house! The water pressure in the bathrooms were terrible Not to mention the sink and tub didn’t drain very good

We stayed for 5 nights and every morning there would be people drinking first thing in their cars in the parking lot Some of the staff was nice At one point the staff blocked the exit door to the swimming pool with a table which is not legal to do! They would cut the elevator off on us too and make us use the stairs I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone

We were in Alabama for a church event; we stayed at this hotel After looking it up on Trip Advisor, we decided to book a reservation The staff was friendly and professional(especially Cartic- not sure if I spelled that right

) The rooms were very CLEAN & SPACIOUS The breakfast was filling and fresh every morning The location of the hotel is nearby everything, stores, restaurants, banks etc We truly enjoyed our stay here, and would certainly stay again😊😊😊😊😊

REALLY A 35 STAR RATING THE HOTEL IS CLEAN, HOWEVER THEY DO ALLOW PETS AT THE HOTEL, SO WATCH OUT FOR BOMBS IN THE SITTING AREA BY THE PARKING LOT

ALSO, WATCH OUT FOR DOG HAIR IN THE BATHROOMS IT HAS BEEN CLEAN EVERY TIME WE STAYED, BUT SOMETIMES IT IS EXTREMELY LOUD I STAY HERE AT LEAST 5 DAYS OUT OF THE MONTH BREAKFAST IS DECENT STAFF IS NICE GOOD LOCATION

Alyssa Orr

Warning to potential bookers: I just called to book a room and was quoted 40 dollars over what every third party seller (Expedia, Travelocity etc) is listing a room for When I pointed out this detail, I was told they don’t do third party I followed up by asking “So, if I booked on a third party app I would be turned away?”

I was told I would not be Essentially this hotel is just trying to make more money for the sake of making more money 🚩

Decent little long term hotel The staff was friendly and the stay was good until a family with 5 kids was placed above with no where to move them to There were a lot of surprise charges that i didnt expect as well and the price of the room for 30 days was higher than I was told it would be

The rooms were clean though and had everything you need to work and stay in town

Miss Fortune

I do not recommend this hotel, and I’m not surprised why their rating is 2 stars we arrive at the hotel at 3 pm, Staff was very rude, A 3/4 of our room floor was flooded, leaked from the air condition, the bathroom was dirty and lots of hair, our bed has signage of used and also there’s a lot of hair too, the couch was hairy too and the cup holder of the chair was terribly dirty I called and I told the staff/front desk my concern she said exactly “Oh I can’t transfer you, there’s no room available” rude and veryunhelpfull

after calling many hours in the main office, they finally give us a room around 2 am

Ben M

Beware this place has crooked management and needs new staff Along with over a thousand dollars worth of electronics stolen from the room, when room cleaning wasn’t even requested Management claimed to “look into it” and urged to not involve the police once the police were involved the manager refuses to show anyone the hallway recording, insisting nothing is shown on there

Not only is the MANAGER refusing to show the footage they’re also avoiding the detective that is trying to review the footage This place is a joke and needs to be avoided at all costs

I highly recommend you add MrD’S to your RV experience It is a perfect location if you’re heading north or south

Ozark, AL has a great selection of restaurants to choose from Fort Rucker is close with the wonderful sound of freedom flying overhead The park offers full hook-ups, bathrooms, laundry room, cable, WiFi and pet areas Tina & Mark are the friendliest park managers and the owner, Gayle, is a sweetheart! The grounds are kept up and looks very nice We stayed for two months and enjoyed our stay

Erika Clark

Pet owners beware! The owner lets her pit mix dog roam the park unattended No collar, no leash I was walking my 20 lb terrier, and her dog walked right up to us & snapped at my dog

They instantly broke out in a fight I was screaming for help – there were several other men around, but they couldn’t separate them My dog got loose & ran off, and a man took the owner’s dog back to her residence He told me that the dog has it’s TEETH FILED SO IT CAN’T HURT ANYONE!!! WTH? That’s not okay, and the entire experience was horrifying I thought it would kill my 13 year old dog Look back at the reviews – this has happened before! The owner never apologized, we never saw her Very bad experience

although we found a bed bugs problem in our room, They did their best to solve the problem even though there was no available room to transfer us they help us to find another hotel and they even pay one night also, it’s because I booked the hotel through Agoda and it’s not refundable, they also help us so we can refund our money with no problem

I do recommend this hotel because of how they treat their guests, cleanliness, and being responsible and very helpful Thank you Fairfield staff for helping us, and making our vacation stress free

Lauren Snodgrass

Best of the options in the area and overall a good experience; however, I’m a hard sleeper and don’t normally wake up to noises, but the walls were so thin I could hear everything happening in the hall or next door Additionally though the staff was nice the communication was lacking When I checked in they asked me if I wanted room service everyday

I said yes, however ended up having to go ask for it because no one came for three days at one point I also asked for a late check out, marylin was so nice and put a note on my account to allow me a late check out I stopped by the front desk on my morning of check out specifally asked if the note was still in there (give my lack of trust from the room cleaning incident) and was told it was I said “oh good because I’m going to shower and just didn’t want someone walking in” fast forward three hours, I’m finishing packing and freshly out of the shower and a housekeeper, without knocking, walks into my roomI told the front desk upon checking out and the gentleman did comp me $25Last thing was one weekday morning breakfast wasn’t put out at 6am I think someone was late for work, but no sign was posted and the front desk was not very apologeticOver all everyone was nice, it was clean, breakfast was good, laundry worked well And when I had issues with my government credit card at the end of stay they were very patient

Jodi Kellis

Very nice rooms, clean and comfortableLocation was perfect for our needsCheck in was smooth and fast

We left early (before the breakfast was opened up) but coffee was already out Thank you!!

Update 17November2021: The management reached out and relocated me to a room in the nicer “actual” Holiday Inn The living conditions are on par with every other Holiday Inn I have stayed in They really need to renovate the other buildings to the same standard because it is a huge difference if you are not in the main building

Worst holiday inn I have ever stayed at Breakfast is good though

Rhonda Blasi

During my husband’s army career, we have been sent to Fort Rucker several times We have always stayed at the hotel on post, ranging anywhere from two weeks to three months This hotel is consistently clean

Every staff member who has helped us has been friendly, kind, and remarkably helpful They always go way above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable! They even cheerfully switched out our mattress for us after our housekeeper asked if we were comfortable enough! Everything is kept up really well, from paint to pest control The grounds are always well maintained The rooms are a bit dated, but they are slowly remodeling a little at a time I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone for any length of stay!

Joshua Williams

Hotel exterior looks dated, but interior has been well refreshed Beds are comfortable TV is large with cable selection

WiFi was fast enough for streaming TV The breakfast had a good variety The biggest downsides were the small bathrooms, low hallway ceilings, and some wear and tear (carpets peeling up) All in all, the hotel is really nice compared to what it’s exterior would suggest Would stay again

The place is a nice location, the employees are super helpful and very nice Even came by to welcome us at the tent site We stayed by the pond for 2 nights it was very beautiful and the bathrooms are super clean and are individual bathrooms for women

The only down side are the ants which are all over the place but they are just the ones that one the sweets so not to worry they don’t bite and also there is a military base close by which there are Helicopter practices around and also a train passing by around 9:15 However, we had unexpected rain and it was pretty muddy Other than that it’s a good location to stay one or two nights to reach the next destination The pool was dirty I think because of the rain but the rest was good

Sara Weeks nelson

The only thing that was nice was the park If you have a nice expensive camper or 5th wheel you will enjoy this location We chose to stay for me,my husband’s and son’s birthday and fathers day weekend in a tent site

We made a reservation for 2 only because we were not sure our sons were going to stay or just cook with us Before we could even make it to our site the owner was there questioning how many we had stay (we literally had not even unpacked our truck ) then accused us of having a dog which we did not I explained we had no issues paying for the other 2 guest if they were staying which we did with no problems then our power polewith a light did not work I asked owner to look at it she said she would look at it in a minute Which she did and it didn’t work she found a plug way across site where we could not even reach to our tent I asked to barrow extention cordshe rudelysaid there was awalmart upthe road The next day about hafe way through the day she said we could not use a window unit in our tent I knowmost people don’t but I have health issues and it was a little hotter than I expected so I went and got onewhen I had to go get the extension cord I looked on rules and it never said we could not use one as we saw the rv sites were using them as well After that was told we had to leave with a refund coming towards end of the week cause we used a debit card I did not except that as I needed cash to go to another park for the rest of our birthday weekend we never made a sound and never bothered anyone we just simply were not old enough or had enough money for this park and had to many tattoos We are in our 40s so we are not kids but this was the worst experience I ever had for a vacation As I said only the park was nice won’t be back or recommend if you are in your 40’s We actually went further down the road to another camp site , had 3 others with ac units Was one price for group of 4 wasn’t treated like we didn’t belong so it was actually a blessing

Budget is correctTHEY budget on everything Asked for a fork

spoonknife anything for my bowl of noodleswas told we don’t have any (when clearly all hotels have)sure if I was not white I would have got one(the man up front is a racist)!!!Turned ice machine offSomeone else’s shampoo left in showerdirty showerHomeless sleeping in hallwayDrugs left out in the open1/4 toilet paper ONLYno refillZERO BREAKFASTdue to “Corona virus” (If at all concerned about COVID-19 still, you would ACTUALLY CLEAN hotel properly instead of saving on offering nothingRecommended that you find somewhere to stay

Lizz

Pros:-Lots of convenient shops and food stops nearby-reasonable pricing-large rooms and smoking rooms available- friendly staffCons:- outdated and broken furniture- unclean bathroom toilet and a chair that would have been better off just being thrown out than ruining the room lol it was really gross-unclean fridge-big ol roachesBut honestly I’ve stayed in some absolutely horrific hotels and this one was doable for one night It wasn’t the worst, but if you’re on a budget and just on the go you won’t get scabies or bedbugs at least

We enjoyed this hotel a lot I had read a lot of reviews and was confused by some comments like dirty and you had to pay for breakfast Breakfast was complimentary, yummy and offered a variety

The stairways at the ends of the building are carpeted and older Therefore, they had a dingy smell that wasn’t great However, the room was and hallways didn’t have this smell and our room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in

Andrew Rodriguez

My stay at this hotel was perfect!!! I came in after booking through hotelscom, although hotelscom had charged me and it had been fully completed and paid for, as a third party service they didn’t provide those funds to Hampton Inn

Tiffany and Anthony were a pleasure to work with and made this inconvenience extremely easy to fix They helped me call and cancel my reservation through the third party and get my money back as hotelscom couldn’t provide them with the funds without me having to pay any cancellation fees Then they booked me my room right then and there, directly through Hampton Inn and modified my room charge to match exactly what I had through a discounted rate although it was not their fault and they were very nice and easy to work with If I came to Dothan again and needed a place to stay, this would definitely be it!!!

Nathan Johnson

This is the edit to my review from yesterdayIt’s now my fourth day here and still no room cleaning, I guess to hell with cleaning the rooms every couple of daysI put all my dirty towels and wash cloths outside the door thinking maybe that would tell them “hey I need some clean towels” nope

They just took the dirty ones and didn’t bother even opening the doorVery nice terrible, stay next door at sleep inn they’re 10 times better than this place

Absolutely beautiful place and friendly staff Room was clean, air was WONDERFUL to come into This was absolutely a breath of fresh air to stop in and stay while on the way to our final stop

Would love to stay here again on our way back home Such a nice and light atmosphere If you’re looking for a sign that “this is the one” to book Here it is! This is it! Oh, and they allowed our service dog with no problem or questions and we completely respect and appreciate that! Thank you! We will recommend here to anyone 🙂

Please ignore whatever bad reviews some folks have posted I am not sure what place those folks stayed at This place is bright, clean, very well maintained and in a nice safe area with nearby restaurant options

Staff were all super friendly Rooms are great and the best part is the blinds actually block out the light! (if you’re someone that matters to like me)

glynnis young

Some feel the comfort of the room is all that matters, for me how the staff treats their guest is just as important Im not sure if it was standing waiting for the manager and staff member to complete their conversation upon check in or the absence of a simple overview of the hotels most basic amenities; hours for breakfast/dinner, wifi info, heck I would have even given credit if they had mentioned information about the pool about 60 yards from the front deskTo add on to the lack of assumed basic Hilton Honors hospitality, we returned from dinner with not even a basic hello

I guess once he looked up at us he figured reading the paper in front of him was a better way to spend his evening rather than acknowledging the presence of guestsHighly disappointed but I rather know where not to go and repeat the same mistake twice

I stayed here almost 3 weeks for a work assignment Housekeeping never cleaned my room which meant no clean sheets or towels, the trash wasn’t removed, the floor was not vacuumed and the room was not restocked with toilet paper I did get them to change the sheets once but I had to ask for it specifically and they were hateful about it

Had to go to desk myself several times to request toilet paper but always had to hunt the desk clerk who was always out back smoking A few times my key would not work and had to go to desk and they were rude about it The clerk was usually an older lady with glasses that was rude They did have a couple of other desk clerks that were polite but I didn’t see them much I had to provide my own trash bags and remove the trash myself Rarely got clean towels so I’m glad I had beach towels I only asked for my room to be cleaned twice so as not to be a bother but as I said the sheets were changed once and that’s all I even left on the weekends and stayed gone all day so they could get in but came back to dirty room everytime The room was nice and the location was good but the big issue was housekeeping If I was going to have to clean it myself they should’ve told me so I could bring supplies and if I wanted to stay in filth I could’ve gotten a much cheaper place They need different people in charge here because these people aren’t taking care of guests The breakfast was ok but the furniture where you were suppose to eat in the lobby had dust an inch deep you could draw in and the public computer had even more dust I’m not a needy person and I never complain but this was ridiculous Im pretty sure the lady over housekeeping has been here a long time and was very hateful the day I stopped at desk to request clean sheets at least but later saw me in public and acted like I was her best friend but nothing changed
