We had a lovely stay here The rooms were beautiful the hotel was fantastic

And it was peaceful and quiet Jonathan at the front desk was very helpful when we had a problem with our reservation He deserves a raise I think we need to become a Hilton honors client as we always love the service The chocolate chip cookies are an excellent touch

Allison C

45 stars! The front desk service was amazing Jonathan was so helpful when I asked to change rooms due to the very loud guests in the room next door (not the hotel’s fault)

He was accommodating and moved me to a room on the same floor but graciously not next to anybody The whole hotel was clean, modern, good shower water pressure, big TVs in the rooms I’m knocking down a star because although the pool area was gorgeous (clean, comfy lounge chairs, a dozen umbrellas), I did not like the extremely loud music played there every day On my last day, it began at 10am so I couldn’t even enjoy a peaceful morning reading It was Fourth of July weekend so maybe that’s why I would come again at a quieter time! FYI breakfast is not included and there is a $20 resort fee daily

Chris S

I stayed for work, and had the time to golf a couple days as well Really enjoyed the convince of the course being right thereI did have to change rooms after my first night when the temp couldn’t get to a comfortable level

I have to assume that the doors aren’t sealed well and more and leak hot in It was windy the entire time of my stay, and you could hear the whistling in the door all night Kinda annoyingI ate at the bar on site once and the burger I had was great Ate at the club house too and have no compliance their eitherAll in all it’s a great place to stayFYI, if you have little ones that want to swim the pools pretty deep most of the way around

My room was a typical hotel room Not great but not bad either You can never get a hold of the front desk people when you call them from your room

They do not return you messages either The front desk staff were not helpful at all with tourist activities or bus schedulesthey didn’t have any answers or information to give I was excited to try the Reef restaurant after reading all the great reviews on it What a disappointment it was Do not order the fish and chips There’s no taste to itnone of it I do hear the hamburgers are good, to bad I didn’t try that Now for the good news! I loved the pool and hot tub! I liked the music around the pool area I liked how the Reef restaurant blocked out the sound and of the sight of the busy road the hotel is on It made it seem more private Over all, I enjoyed my stay at the Caliente Tropics Resort!

Adam Yarter

Weird, kitschy, and fun The pool was a little cloudy but didn’t seem otherwise dirty The carpet in the room needed some love, but the staff was fantastic, and the grounds are fabulous

We discussed or stay at length, and while the rooms aren’t up to what we would normally prefer we would certainly stay there again The kitsch definitely makes up for itAlso, the pool scene at night is a blast!

NO LONGER RECOMMENDED Stay at the V Hotel next door insteadTHE ISSUE: I am disabled and requested a quiet room at booking and again at check-in

Instead, without notice, I was given a room directly above an active construction site within the hotel Heavy machinery operation began at 7:00 am on the second morning of my stay I spoke with the front desk four times in the morning and twice in the afternoon but my complaints were ignored I was told that I could not change rooms but I could leave the hotel and stay elsewhere This was not a fair option because all of the nearby accommodations at the same price were booked out, and location was essential because of my inability to driveAt this point, I am effectively a hostage at the hotel I was promised that the crews would leave at 5:30 pm — which is the current time as I write this The crews have not left, though, at a time when I need to take medication and prepare to sleepIn addition, I have hot running water but no cold water The water itself is undrinkable because of contamination with undisolved solids The window does not close properly and allows cold air to draft inI have stayed here several times in the past three years and have had good experiences — 4 out of 5 stars or higher The situation I face today reflects poorly on current management I will not be staying here again and, if asked, I will encourage others to book elsewhere

Stayed here back in July to recharge for a few days during an extended work trip in California I tried calling the hotel before check in to let them know that I was going to be late, after office hours, but no one answered, so I was worried that I would show up to the hotel and no one would be there They ended up calling me on their own right before the office closed and emailed me late arrival instructions, which were very easy

Great little hotel that gives off more of an AirBnB vibe and basically every room has a view of the pool The rooms were a bit dated, with only some of the outlets in the room being three prong ones I had to charge my computer in the kitchen Breakfast was basic, but still good Would stay again

Shawn Casselberry

This was a decent Palm Springs hotel It was great that it was adults only and there were times we had the pool to ourselves They had a lot of good movie channels and they have a mini kitchen with everything you need

We paid more for the private patio but didn’t really use it There were no lounge chairs there only a small table and two hard back chairs There were a couple bugs in the room and nothing too spectacular about the place I would probably pay $20-25 more for a nicer hotel in Palm Springs We had friends staying at Villa Royale which seemed a step up Still this wasn’t a bad place for a quiet, private stay

People rave about the staff here, and we have to agree, wonderful staff We had a nice room that we were very happy with The day we were leaving, I ordered room service, breakfast

Excluding tip, the breakfast came to over $100 Instead of a nice breakfast that we could enjoy, it came in boxes with plastic cutlery It was like camping The food was impossible to eat because you couldn’t cut anything with the cheap plastic cutlery Instead of a nice pot of coffee that you could keep warm, the coffee came in paper cups Not only is this tremendously wasteful, it is not room service, it’s take-out Also, there was no place for both of us to eat My husband had to bring in a seat table from the patio If you want a hotel room that you can relax in and have room service, this is not the place

Laura Lyons

Worth it for the pool alone!I can’t think of one negative about this hotel From when we walked into the lobby to when we checked out, everything was great The room was spacious, clean and up to date and the location in the heart of Palm Springs can’t be beat

The rooftop pool is the best part, with amazing views, friendly people and great cocktails The cold brew at Juniper is a must try

Chantal Partenza

A great stay, excellent service, and courteous team More importantly, HONEST STAFF! I left behind in my room a Chanel perfume and body cream Once I arrived home, I’ve called the hotel manager and he immediately reached out to the room service team and my items were found

Alicia the individual who did our room returned my items She could easily just keep the products but instead she returned them Permit me thank you and express my gratitude to you Alicia and Mauro A very delighted customer

Had an amazing weekend there with my husband & two year old Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming The pool area was amazing

Bed was very comfortable Only complaint is that our room was pretty dark – thought we were getting a balcony room (but we got one with a living area, which was nice too) Just wish we had a bit more natural light Will definitely visit again!

Jovita Holman

The hotel was super elegant, clean, friendly staff ( especially Alex M), the pool was clean, the room was very neat and smells so good we really enjoyed the cold ice water in the lobby The hot meal breakfast was fantastic

The bacon was super yummy, the french toast and the syrup was perfect not even sweet The waitress was so hospitable Super love the atmosphere in this hotel Inside the Elevator and the hallways was quite too hot, other than that I highly recommend this hotel

Jason Martin

Loved it here! You couldn’t ask for a better a better location The view from my room was unbelievable and the room was awesome as well I spent a week at the hotel for a conference and had a great time not only in the beautiful facility but also getting to meet much of the staff

Gordie at the concierge desk and Juan in facilities put a smile on my face every day and we’re nothing but a pleasure to talk withEverybody at the front desk always had a smile on their face and and you could tell that they all got along and enjoyed working together which says something about management and the facility

Great location Perfect in proximity to Eisenhower Medical Center Older building but very nicely cared for, updated and relaxing

I had a handicapped room just off the front lobbyquite and close 1 block to the mall and several great restaurants I would definitely come here again Love the digital keys, saves time not having to check in and gives access to public areasOnly negatives, fitness center wasn’t available and the continental breakfast was $10I feel, for the price, it should have been includedOther than that great! Staff was also very helpful

Yanira Vasquez

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff at the front desk at your Rancho Mirage location The manager was yelling at a customer when the customer was calmly explaining the problem or concern She was over talking and interrupting the customer

I couldn’t hear my representative checking me in because the manager was so loud and rude I asked her to please lower her voice and to treat her customers with respect She then starts yelling at me and the representative Johnathan helping me gets involved and yells at me At this point there are 2 representatives yelling at customers I will never stay at this hotel and do NOT recommend You have rude and unprofessional people running your hotel and it is giving all Hiltons a bad reputation We ended up canceling our reservation and went elsewhere

Oscar Burrows-Rangel

Very close to everything you need to enjoy Palm Springs Lots of great restaurants within parking distance, ample parking, K-Cup coffee maker, comfy beds, and easy check-in/check-out The digital key works like a dream

Highly recommend, especially if you’re staying for the weekend or as a place to stay at for big events like Coachella or Stagecoach

Experience was great right from arrival, haha The place is architecturally beautiful, and staff are friendly and helpful Our patio suite was great, very spacious, but definitely open concept so maybe a bit much for a conservative type

It could use a bit more of a defined/ luggage-friendly setup We didn’t use the car parking but it looked like there were plenty of spaces Food and drinks were great but they’re launching a new menu as we’re here so hopefully we get to try that, it looks tasty! Would love to come back during a bit busier season and see what that’s like

Adam Barnes

This place was the absolute highlight of our two week trip across California From start to finish, it was a perfect experience – and the most fantastic place to chill for a few days The rooms were spacious, had great a/c, and were well stocked with products, and the mini bar was pretty reasonably priced

The staff were all so lovely, and went above and beyond regularly to make our stay as enjoyable as possible We could have sat by that pool for a week! The ice cream shop and cafe next door is an absolute must visit too

Hector Aguayo

My girlfriend and I had a great experience Relaxed vibe Great design- hip and luxurious boutique with a minimalist approach

We will definitely come back Nothing bad to say about this place Pool service was amazing Free bike rental was convenient Food was actually very good Recommended breakfast burrito and taro chips and guac Im trying to think of any cons but I can’t During the week is the best time to stay

We planned a spontaneous weekend getaway to Palm Springs to relax and reset and could not have picked a better place than The Weekend!Self check-in and check-out was very convenient Eva and Mark were very friendly and accommodating, which made our stay much more enjoyable We practically had the pool to ourselves even though there were a few other guests staying there

Our room had plenty of space and had plenty of privacy in the back patio area The kitchen had everything we needed even without a stove or toaster My only suggestion would be to add some kitchen towelsThe walk down to the main shops and restaurants downtown is not bad at all, only 15-20 minutes For us, it was the perfect location! We can’t wait to come back!

The Storeys

My family and I had planned a last minute trip this Easter weekend, and we gladly came across The Weekend Mark, the owner, was absolutely accommodating and answered all my questions prior to booking Joanna from the front desk was also very helpful; they accommodated us for early check-in & late check-out

The hotel is modern, clean, well furnished, and intimate The Weekend has 10 rooms, and although it was at full capacity, we practically had the pool to ourselves We stayed in the 2 bedroom deluxe room and it was spacious & perfect for our family of 6 (including a fluffy dog)Other pros:- Very clean- Great location- Easy parking- Good beds- Quiet- Dog friendly- Great customer service- Covid friendly- Great pool- It has a kitchen with full size fridge (FYI, no stove – it wasn’t an issue for us)We all had a wonderful, perfect Easter We highly recommend The Weekend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Palm Springs A big thank you again to Mark for accommodating us and for being an excellent host

Sophie Ey

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at – hands down If you are worried about COVID safety, like me, this place is ideal No shared indoor spaces, front door is locked and leads to an open air courtyard where you have a private front door to your apartment with it’s own back patio

It was sparkling clean with GORGEOUS taste It felt just like having our own very nice apartment in the heart of Palm Springs for a night The bed was incredibly comfy The pool was fantastic It was quiet and peaceful with lovely music playing softly by the pool It was incredibly dog friendly and our pup had the time of her life I could go on forever about how much I loved this placeAll of those details aside, Mark (the owner) is just the best He was so, so, so kind, friendly and accommodating He made our stay so nice and easy He was so responsive and the exact ray of sunshine you want in a hostLong story long – this is the best place ever and we will be coming back many times

The Inn at Palm Springs is my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in The owners are easily the nicest people I have ever met They were very welcoming and helpful

We had never been to Palm Springs before and staying here made our trip even better The pool was great, and the room was very clean and comfortable The whole property is very private and protected, which made us feel very safe Being able to use the bikes was a great feature to have! Great location, and we loved the breakfast vouchers to use at Rick’s Wish we could have stayed longer, would definitely stay here again!

What a gem We’ve never been to Palm Springs – we came to celebrate a special birthday and were looking for something charming and quaint – the Inn at Palm Springs did not disappoint It will remind you of classic 1960’s

The hotel has been upgraded in the last two years and is full of comfort and coziness Samantha went all out on linens and Paul has a lush green thumb all over the property When they escort you through the security gate to your room, the gardens are a pleasant surprise The rooms are clean, cozy, contemporary We didn’t realize how pet friendly the property is (as is all of Palm Springs we discovered) and we will be back with our lover Labrador We wanted to see some of the old town – back in the hay day where the Rat Pack lived and hung out Paul and Samantha can recommend whatever your adventure desires are; restaurants, historical sites, hiking, quirky art, where to walk and shop down town The Inn has a friendly team, always offering something to go see We started each day sitting by the pool with a cup of coffee from the hospitality room to plan our day Checkout their website, if your looking for intimate you’ll love it

David Hardwick

Incredible service The type of service that really stands out these days Helped us park the RV, walked us to our rooms while explaining the amenities, free drink after our long drive

And a great breakfast option that is worked out with a local dinner walking distance from the hotel Pool was also nice and a great place to unwind after the drive Highly recommend staying here if you are looking at a place near palm springs

Our host Kelly welcomed us with a glass of wine and beer along with a tour of the grounds He was very personable and helpful The hotel grounds are very well kept and the glow of the soft lights and candles at night is very relaxing

Our room was spacious and very clean We loved having fresh coffee every morning and there were even snacks and drinks in each room as well as a separate kitchen to cook if you wanted to The hotel was recommended to us by friends and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who would like a secluded cozy place to stay while in Palm Springs

Margaret Murphy

A true example of excellent hospitality!I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its amazing staff The property is truly beautiful and has a wonderful ambience The place is amazing from top to bottom and no detail has been overlooked

We received a wonderful ‘Welcome to the Hotel California (Such a lovely place)’ from Kelly on arrival and we were delighted to find ‘The pink champagne on ice’ in our room as an anniversary presentEvery staff member we encountered from check-in, and throughout our stay (including the cleaning staff) were all delightful and eager to help in any way they could The service was exceptional They went over and beyond to help make our Anniversary stay enjoyable – a special thank you to Kelly and Dawn 😊Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable and even contained a selection of drinks and snacks The pool area and hot tub were wonderful too and located just steps away from our roomI recommend this hotel without reservation to anyone visiting Palm Springs – Hotel California is truly a charming place 👍We can’t wait to come back to visitMaggie & Rafael😍

Traveller 1980

I loved this hotel, everything about it is fabulous The location is just out of town, so it is nice and quiet, but convenient for some lovely restaurants I think the small touches, like the coffee, fruit and morning pastries really make a difference

The staff were all very helpful also This was my first stay here, I have previously stayed in the sister property, the Desert Riviera, but that was fully booked on this occasion That hotel is also fabulous, but I think I like the Hotel California more due to the old Spanish style I can’t want to stay again

Good hotel with very clean rooms fully furnishedAs other mentioned, there is not much staff nor any services and it can become very noisy if your room is on the ground floorI would definitely recommend if it is a 1-2 nights stop while visiting Palm Spring surroundings

However if you want to stay leisurely at this place and enjoy pool side activities all day like in a resort I don’t think this is the place for you

Britt Rickman

AVOID THIS PLACEI snuck away with my significant other for the weekend and we considered this hotel to be a complete bust1

We were assigned room #111 which is directly by the spring loaded entry gate that slams the wall every time someone leaves or enters the property – all day and all night We recognized this issue immediately and reached out to the phone number Their customer service is outsourced to the Philippines The rep refused to let me speak to any person who actually works for the hotel or had a management role We were told that the hotel was full (not likely) and that they weren’t able to move us I responded that the noise level was absolutely unacceptable (not only the slamming but the paper thin ceiling and footsteps above us) and asked to be refunded so we could leave The best offer was 15% but still no resolution for the issue They also said they would send maintenance the next day and also call back to let us know if another room was opened Surprise – there was no follow up phone call, no maintenance man (what was he going to do? Take the door off?), and no partial refund Our two night stay was EIGHT HUNDRED dollars and we listened to a door slamming any time we were in the room2 There is NO RESTAURANT OR BAR It appears they were in over their head with this service There was no notice of this while booking the hotel In fact it was a huge reason we chose this location – for poolside service There is a sign hanging saying that it’s going to open up in a few weeks (and it’s not dated so I suspect they will leave it up indefinitely)3 The pool area in comparison to the other hotel properties we visited was run down and dirty This is likely the result of having zero on site staffI’m going to work with my credit card company to get refunded via fraud because this place delivered on zero expectations for a significant expense Thankfully I was only visiting from San Diego I would feel so sad for anyone who had made a bigger trip and hopefully folks can see this as a big warningOne star for:- parking- comfortable bed

Brittany Bresler

Positives: cute rooms, clean, free water bottles, great bar staff, reasonably priced drinks, price was acceptable, or so I thoughtNegatives: early check in and late check out were both denied However there was literally no one at the resort

A group of use came and had three rooms and there were maybe 1 other couple The restaurant wasn’t open, bummer because that’s one of the reasons I booked this We arrived Saturday morning at 9:30, code didn’t work for bag luggage check so I couldn’t even get into the gates No one was there or available, could only contact online Which I don’t think is that big of a deal Except 9am on a Saturday morning I would assume is probably a time you should staff for a vacation style hotel I also asked 24+ hours prior to check in if I could pay to have champagne and goodies in our room to surprise my husband for his birthday The online concierge said, no problem where would you like it charged and that “we’ll be in contact” Low and behold nothing in the room and no one ever told me they couldn’t accommodate or that they ran into issues No discussion Hugely unsatisfiedI get COVID has really impacted operations I get it! But the lack ofcommunication is the most annoying of everything Just tell me you’re struggling with staff and that not everything is open But it felt like a bait and switch to get my money and the kick me outIf you’re looking for an overly priced hotel room to literally just sleep, this place is it But definitely not up to par as a resort style place

I love large bathrooms and this one had a shower and a tub!!! Our room had a good size balcony that was perfectly set with in the resort The pool is so clean with a walk up bar, but no need for that, there was a waiter’s and waitress that could bring you drinks and food to you by the pool We also had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant We basically ordered one of everything on the menu and we were not disappointed at all

I was skeptical of visiting Palm Springs in June due to the heat, but Margaritaville made it fun We stayed for 5 days, and enjoyed every one of them The large pool area has plenty of space and shade

The staff was exceptional in their attentiveness The roomExtremely comfortable beds, with a nicely laid out bathroom Walking distance to great dining, but the restaurants in the hotel were nice as well I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family

Second visit Amazing facials upon our arrival Great location and food did not disappoint

Like the $3 poolside beers Service was great inside however a little inconsistent at the pool bar today It was nice having live music at the pool Pool ran out of towels so when we arrived in the afternoon we had to wait a while until fresh towels were brought out When showering for dinner it seemed like hot water was in short supply Still a good find for sure

Loved this place, super welcoming and our floor leveled room was was very accessible even though I left my wheelchair in the car and just took my crutch I could see that I would have had no issues with my wheelchair The room was also right next to the pool and a grassy area so I could just open the back door and let my service dog go potty The pool was also heated and seemed to be open at all hours

I went at 9:30pm and had the pool all to myself, it was great The pool was also squeaky clean and clearly well maintained Overall an amazing hotel, just wish that they would have an included breakfast as that would truly make it perfect 🙂

I enjoyed my visit here It’s not perfect, but it’s darn nice, especially for the price range If I go back, I’ll be more careful about what view I expect

Mine wasn’t badwasn’t a view of a parking lot or dumpster, by any means, but there are nicer directions to face The location is wonderful There are countless cool shops and restaurants right across the street, basically The art museum is practically next door, as is a great hiking trail It’s quite steep, though, so pack hiking boots and trekking poles

The grounds are beautifully maintained and exterior of the property and lobby are nice Pool is small but really nice and a good vibe

location is amazing and is in the heart of downtown close walking distance to everything Rooms have nice balconies, however the rooms are quite dated I think ripping the old carpet out and putting in vinyl floors and some fresh paint would do so much for the rooms The carpets are old so they have a musty smell, old wall AC units that kick in and out all night The balconies are nice and big though and most face the poolThe front desk was not very helpful in describing where the room was and were very brief in the interactionsOverall if you want to spend more time outside of your room than inside of it like we did – pool time, exploring downtown, it’s a fine choiceGiving 4 stars for location, nice pool and clean grounds

In the heart of the desert I hope you come across this humble hostel If you’re just traveling through, here for vacation or seeking affordable temporary housing this is your place to be! Very convenient location to grocery stores, gas stations and the bus stop The best in the Coachella valley this property offers free coffee and laundry, a full size kitchen with appliances and three restrooms accommodating all your basic needs

You can choose from many of the different options they offer from cozy car camping to private rooms or just a bunk bed to rest the choice is yours! They even have a smoking area separate from the house that is very pleasing to smokers and non smokers! Well organized and remodeled this hostel is very welcoming to all who come across it Thank you for the great experience Crashpod!

I see a lot of praise for this hostel in the comments but I had a very opposite experience I just booked a room at a motel for basically the same price as the private room I booked at that hostel, only the motel has a private restroom and a codified set of rules and policies The person running this hostel literally did not understand what I meant when I asked for a written set of rules for the hostel

Instead what they would do or actually I should say what they did in the 3 hours I was there, because ultimately I just left and footed the bill, was let me know about a rule as I unknowingly broke it (or so they would argue) So for example I was chastised because I walked out into a common area with a blanket wrapped around me but without a shirt on And I never got it clear if the policy was that you couldn’t be shirtless in common areas or that you had to be covered in common areas because I was covered by the blanket but I wasn’t wearing a shirt Then there was the trip to buy a towel 20 minutes away at the Target because the person that I asked if they could provide a towel decided not to tell me that the hostel provided towels for the guests This person also claimed to be a volunteer yet the management did not acknowledge to me that they were volunteers and entirely contradicted that So the person that told me that they were a volunteer and did not tell me that the facility provided towels for the guests cost me a 20-minute trip to the Target lied to my face in front of two other people Nobody defended me, the management is sloppy, and if so many people like it so much I guess it’s because of some sort of cultural lack of concern for groups of people countercultures clicks business and corporate cultures and the like that are this grotesquely inconsistent and unprofessional Typical of situations that are simply pop-ups for churches and other dishonest institutions of capitalism that require a little political legal or some other form of what I would call damage control or even regulation In normal parlance it’s called a front organization Just simply don’t like this placeAnd if anybody wants to verify how grotesquely inconsistent these people can be, keep an eye here, someone might uh want to challenge my version of events

Staff were nice My first room wreaked of cigarettes and they changed my room promptlyRoom was nice

I liked the layout with the extra vanity space I was on the ground floor with a patio door facing the pool area I would have liked to sit outside on the patio but the furniture was stained and I didn’t want to sit on the chairsThe room appeared it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, dust covering most surfaces A/C was cold and room was comfortable enough Good location for downtownOn-site parking was extraweird especially since it was self-park I parked on the street at no charge For the price, I would have expected a bit “more”

This way a very good experience that could have been very bad For some reason, only part of our reservation went through for a conference we were having We found the conference rooms we booked, but not the actual hotel rooms weren’t found

I have to give the biggest shout out to Mark!!! He made sure to be caring and attentive in the midst of the chaos We weren’t able to get the 2 rooms we originally thought we were getting; however, we did at least get one room that Mark was so gracious to accommodate us with!Side Note: Jorge was also very helpful in assisting us with the seminar room set up! We all banded together and got it cleaned and set up properly before our clients showed upAll in all, it was a very good experience Thank you for maintaining professional and courteousness in the midst of how mean the world has been the past 2 years It hasn’t gone unnoticed Blessings on you and all your staff!

We were passing through from WA to AZ – I’m giving 2 stars and not one because we are able to get a room last minute We are traveling with small childrenDownsides:-Parking is $17 a day and a good spot that is close is hard to come by

-I don’t like finding human hair in hotel rooms, or fingernails Cleanliness could be improved-We had to sign a waiver that this was a pet friendly hotel This information was not readily available when we made our reservations The hallway to our room smelled like pee and there was many uncleaned pee spots Luckily our room smelled okay-The pool closes at 9:30 We love to go to the pool late in the evening for a quick swim with my boys This certainly felt like the were trying to keep the partying to a minimum-“Last call” at the hotel bars was also extremely early, earlier than the pool closed I think It seemed like they were trying to squash the party scene – which is fine by me (tired mom) but ppl just go back to their room and are loud
