The hotel was clean and well maintained The beds are extremely uncomfortable I was able to get past that though

What I couldn’t get past was the staff None of them were friendly or helpful The first night I was staying there I had gotten into town fairly late and had to stop and get a toothbrush and some things I had forgotten While I was doing that I had gotten a phone call from the hotel and was asked “when are you coming?” No one had introduced themselves or asked how I was Just unprofessional That was my first red gladIt also isn’t listed on their website they require a deposit so just be aware if you stay there are extra fees they they don’t tell you about until you’re checking into your room But the most frustrating thing out of all of it – I was there for work I was working nights while I was there They day I checked out (today) I went down to the front desk and asked about late checkout (the worker the night before told me it should be fine just to check with the desk in the morning) I explained to them I sleep during the day and go to work about 6 pm so I would only need a few extra hours They said checkout was 11 am and the latest they would let me check out was 12 pm and if I wanted to stay until 6 I would have to pay for another night with another reservation (meaning another deposit as well) Seriously? I could understand if the hotel was fully booked but they were NOT NOT even CLOSE The girl at the front desk had an extremely “oh well” attitude about it Why would a pay for a whole other night when I only asked for a couple of hours? I’ve never had issues with late checkouts at any other hotels I’ve stayed at What was the most upsetting was their attitudes The hotel is pretty nice But the staff are sub-par

Tay

The staff was either poorly trained or not helpful When we checked in we were told the room we booked (king and kitchen) was not available and were offered a room with no kitchen and a queen I insisted we needed the room we booked as I like to make my owncoffee

We were offered a room with no kitchen for one night and room we booked for the rest of the week I was fine with that but then he told us the oh it was not available for a month My husband got involved and we got an upgraded room The hotel was empty so I do not understand why the room we booked was not available even if it wasn’t we shouldn’t have to insist to get what we paid for The hotel was under it was very hard to get a hold of anyone if you needed extra towels or toiletries The breakfast was a joke We had to ask for creamer as it was empty Staff was busy chatting and eating which I have no problem with but we felt like we were disturbing them when we asked for something There were minimal itemsno fruit day 1, no yogurts on the last day Coffee not refilled so only got half a cup andthere was no one to ask Breakfast times were reduced cos of covid Still in 2022Pool was closed for a month We booked u because of the pool so if it is closed it should be on the websiteRedeeming qualities was the cleaning staff was great Hotel was newer and spotless It was cleaned through and through every day

So far what I liked about the room is that it was really big the restroom was clean I like the fact that you had the shelf set up with all the towels The sink by the restroom had a coffee maker I thought that was really nice Also in the closet there was a blow dryer a iron and the iron table to iron clothes some hangers and the little luggage holder very impressive

Now my concern that I didn’t like was that there was a door in the middle of the room had a childproof plastic knob holder on the door which I don’t know what that was used for kind of suspicious The AC didn’t work it was hot in the room it never cooled down and the shower the cold water didn’t work so you had no cold water I like the fact that you had a table in the middle that was really cute and everything else was fine

Trish Wishy

This place was perfect for the price! I always check reviews thoroughly before I book anywhere, and I have no complaints! We had friendly service, clean rooms, comfy beds, the A/C worked properly, and the floors were nice to walk on and seemed new Last but not least, I was thrilled to find out they serve breakfast unlike so many other hotels nowadays “due to Covid” and they have Texas-Shaped waffles, which I love!!

Jax O’Riley

Recently stayed here a few times & it was absolutely awful, horrible rude service No actual manager or supervisors on property Cleaners and front desk staff are the worst

No one to talk to about actual issues & don’t expect the owner or any manager to contact guests about any concerns Better to spend $25-$50 more a night for a nicer higher quality hotel than this run down horrible hotel Constant police activity, low lives and crackheads at this location It’s very loud, only time its quiet is if no other guest is staying on the same floor or building Disgusting swampy smell overall in most rooms Water is never consistent Pressure low then high Cold barely any hot water Workers always lurking around invading your privacy opening doors without permission etc other people We spoke to also had similar experiences yet there is no one here that cares about the guests They don’t have actual breakfast or any nice pool like they show in the photos The guest laundromat is out of order This place is false advertising They need to update the photos and details online Do not stay here better to go elsewhere- save yourself money & a headache One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in south Texas Others have experienced infestation of roaches & staff trying to charge guests for towels etc This place needs to be put on reset It needs New owners, new staff, new upgraded rooms or just needs to be shut down that’s how bad it is especially if you stay longer than one daygood luck! I’ll never stay here again

Dirty and smelled bad They charged my card and extra $9083

This is not the $25 security fee When I asked why I was charged extra they said their system just does that randomly and they would refund me It’s been three days and the transaction is still on my card When I call they say there is nothing they can do about it Stayed here for work and 4 other coworkers got the extra charge as well Do not stay here

Stayed here for a weekend getaway The staff was very friendly & the room was great for the price However, when we arrived the computers were down so checking in took a while longer than normal

We understand technology isn’t perfect & the manager was as quick as could be despite their dilemma Our main disappointment was that we chose this place for being “pet friendly” but had to leave a graduation dinner early after receiving a call about a noise complaint about our dog barking We were given a room right by the elevator so anyone, including our little Yorkie, can hear anyone coming in & out of it Lesson learned & next place we stay, we will ask for a far corner room

Mold in the bathroom, toilet handle was broken and I had to plunge it because it clogged easily twice Stains on the bed sheets, requested 3 different pairs and 2 of those had substantial stains as well Finally after seeing what we thought might be bed bugs we asked for a different room

Given a different room only to find a big very easily noticeable stain there as well Went 15 minutes away to a different La Quinta and was very pleased at the huge difference in cleanliness Won’t be staying here again Easily worst hotel I’ve stayed at

Perry Charbarneau

The toilet is broken, the elevator is broken, the internet doesn’t work, the hot breakfast happens only if the front desk person feels like making it(hit or miss), coffee is cold Second worst motel I have ever stayed in I travel for business, so I stay in a lot of motels and hotels

So being the second worst is saying a lot I would have given 0 stars if it were an option Don’t stay here!

Jason Huffman

The staff was friendly and cooperative The breakfast was adequate; however, I would recommend extending the serving time until 0900 on Saturday and Sunday The bathroom (room 123) needs a new shower curtain and repair or replacement on the bathtub faucet

Also, it appears that the walls were not completely painted and there is a 5-6 inch burned/melted spot on the carpet in front of the fridge The outside flower beds are in a state of repair

The room was great The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room The breakfast left much to be desired

The biscuits were rock hard and tasted like they had been reheated They were constantly out of one thing or the other (Like waffles, yogurt, etc)The workers at the front desk were great They were extremely helpful

Justin Guillet

Went for a couple nights stay The hotel was clean the room was also About $100/night

I’ve seen much worse for $80 I wasn’t able to hang around for breakfast but there was free breakfast (I have to be at work at 6) It was a little warm in there for my taste There was good parking available Bed was pretty comfy There is a 24 hr store in the same parking lot Only 5 mins from where I work Overall, not bad, I’d go back again if I could spend a little less than this time

Great location very close to NASA and not too far from the boardwalk area Hotel looks fairly new and our room was large and clean The balcony view of the lake is quite nice

The higher the floor the better The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed They even let us hang out in an unused conference space after checkout because we were waiting for a late flight The breakfast was quite good with made to order omelets and waffles along with a small buffet with all the standards like scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, fruit, ect

Glenn Kristi

We stayed here a few months ago A bit pricey The restaurant was pricey for what you get

Bathroom has a vent going into the room next door and if I was a peeping Tom I could easily entertain myself watching someone take a shower, or worse I pinned a towel over it Very weird! I noticed light coming from it when the light was off in our bathroom Had it not been for that I would have never noticed it The better view would be of the water I’ve had better experiences at cheaper hotels Not really a place I myself will go back to, unless I had no choice Wasn’t the worst, but definitely not the best

Michael

Great hotel for runners! The lake front rooms have a nice sunrise view of Clear Lake but the best feature for me is the 10 mile running loop right at the hotel More paths extend from there This is also a popular area for bicyclists

Fitness center and pool are not special Breakfast was delicious – $19 buffet exceeded my expectations

Nice, big and clean for our family of 5 to sleep in I always love having a small kitchen in our room when travel king with the kids I loved being able to have the option of both pools

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast, but I feel like that’s been most hotels during this Covid-era If you can grab any of the waffles though, they were the best! But they went so fast Would absolutely stay here again

Its understandable that covid brought the no daily room service So what’s the excuse for my room not being cleaned well prior to my arrival I had to reclean my room due to it not being properly cleaned prior to my arrival

No big deal The issue came about five days later during my stay when their was loud music obnoxiously being played and hotel staff lied about talking to other guests to lower the music so I can concentrate on my work and relax The music kept playing until almost 11 PM which is unacceptable After calling the front desk about 5-6times and no solution this makes me very disappointed in the service I received at this Hampton Facility As a Lifetime Diamond member this is by far the worst Hotel experience I’ve had in 12 years WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Natalie Kalanta

Love this hotel, very fast and professional employees checking inBest hotel I’ve stayed in so far but job company pays Not far from my job site

Here 4 months to do Super Target remodelThanks Hampton Inn And even though I smoke, I’ve only smoked one cigarette since I got here No smoke policy but that’s a good thing because it’s making me stop!!

Excellent facility Very clean Staff was overly friendly

Grounds were near perfection Room was very nice Fare exceeds Choice branded hotels where we have stayed in Galveston Definitively worth the minimal extra drive into Galveston And, to top it off, Moses was professional, witty and accommodating Stay here with confidence of an excellent visit

Daniel Gonsoulin

The staff is friendly and helpful This hotel has all of the basics that you will need Microwave, mini-fridge, safe, decent cable and an A/C that will really crank it down! The room was very clean and well furnished and quiet

Loved it I did think it was odd having the reception desk on the opposite side of the elevator but it is only a 2 floor building so no big deal

Roland Bray

Don’t you just hate it when the guest before you leaves the alarm on and wakes you unexpectedly!?!? Ha Anyway, the room was clean, breakfast during the week is slim Pickens Breakfast on the weekend is better

The main hall carpet needs to be replacedOverall,we were satisfied with our stay

I am marking one star just because I cannot give zero star to the hotelFirst, even though I reserved a nonsmoking room and the clerk told me not to smoke in the room, the very first thing I found in the hotel room was smoking smell Many people smoked in the room and the hotel has not treated very well, I am sure

And they do not offer breakfast, don’t be fooled from other informations When I ask about breakfast, she the clerk told me that they do not offer breakfast buy only coffeesNo amenities including a hair dryer may be understood, no blameOne good thing, I did not see any insect maybe because of smoking smell

The best part of my stay was when the staff member Aremecia(I believe that’s her name) went out of her way to accommodate me She was a sweet older lady with curly hair I originally booked one night and decided to stay a second night after arriving

I was originally told I had to check out and then check in to get another room and that I could not keep the same room I was told I had to do this book because I booked with a 3rd party I asked for early check in and I was told it was not possible I knew it was last minute so I understood The next day when checking out, this sweet lady found a way to check me in early, offered me to stay in the same room and accommodated all my needs She made it seem like it was no problem at all She was definitely inconvenienced to make these arrangements for me and I could tell she had to move things around for us, but it really made our day go so much smoother Because of her, my stay went from good to EXCELLENT It is service like this you don’t see too much nowadays and that is why it was so extra special She is the only reason why I decided to write this review

Paul Smoot

Pros: First off don’t listen to the bad reviews on the breakfast Very good full breakfast A+ Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, and cubed potatoes, decent French toast

Great stay overall Comfortable king bed and comfy sheets Nice showerCons: tiny cold pool Very dirty jacuzzi

Miguel Garcia

Location and rooms were good But, breakfast is not included in the room price, unless you pay a higher room price If you have breakfast, you must pay $14

99 + tax There is also an additional 17% charge during the month of June and July Ironically, I was not informed of these when I booked my reservation Other than that, the hotel stay was good
