Crystal

Pleasantly surprised The managers and staff are so kind and informative Complimentary coffee, tea, and water upon arrival

I loved the large, mini studio room, comfortable bed, full length mirror, sofa bed, great shower head and temperature, the kitchen came equipped with all the necessities and an oven Breakfast was spectacular with fresh fruit, eggs, biscuits, waffles, oatmeal and more A very nice spreadThe pool was very small, not one I wanted to dip into But all else was a great experience

Heidi Bunch

I needed a shower for someone with disabilities The 2 rooms that were disability accessible were taken, but I was assured that the bathtub had handrails inside of it No it did not

It was also extremely loud from drunken neighbors who were awake through the night, talking, laughing, screaming and carrying on The problems surrounded me!! Upstairs and on either side of me were partying peopleThere’s a sheet of paper that has to be signed that informs tenants to keep noise levels down It was so loud that I wasn’t able to sleep at all and had a Dr’s appointment early the next morning I loved the big room It was clean and had a nice kitchen, but due to the other issues, I’d pass

Tom Graham

Not the greatest location and the appearance is little to be desired Could use a serious facelift makeover The gym was not available

The doors look like they’ve been broken into The employees were super friendly, courteous, kind, and professional The free breakfast in the mornings was great and much appreciated Rooms were spacious and clean although furniture could use modern upgrades Recommend for say construction workers, contractors, and or business professionals for long term stays and or just for quick business meetings like I was there for

Was given a different room than I booked Decor was awful Looks like they threw a bunch of missed matched items together

80’s style tan and mauve sofa, 1 bright green chair, black and gold desk, dark green headboard, plaid chairs topped off by the blue spotted carpet I’m dizzy in this room! Will not stay here again Zero thought put into the decor Lol and an empty Kleenex box in the entry way 😳

Erika Wright

I LOVED my stay here! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful My room was beautiful The breakfast was great (cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, and free coffee and muffin snacks all day

) I think the negative reviews are unfair This is a wedding venue – so sometimes it is loud (bring earplugs) It’s a beautiful old building – but it is old so things might not always work perfectly I didn’t have great internet in my room, but it was perfect in the breakfast area so I did my work there And the staff will do everything in their power to make your stay comfortable The Huntington Suite is spectacular!!!! I will definitely stay here again

Jerry Van Heeringen

We were invited to our close friend’s son’s wedding held here and decided to book a room The entire Hotel has been renovated consistent with the period and is just beautiful Our room was spacious with an ample bathroom including a luxurious spa tub

The ballroom is a nice venue for a wedding and reception After the ceremony the guests were invited to the bar just down the hall to wait as the tables were set up in the ballroom for dinner Adjacent to the bar is a patio equipped with heaters so it can be used year round A continental breakfast is served on the main floor next to the lobby

Great location and very comfortable and clean hotel! I called the day before our stay to find out if we could check in early and I was told we could check in as early as we wanted to We ended up checking in two hours early and were greeted very warmly as though they were expecting us The pool and hot tub are nice

Location is perfect as it’s close to downtown and other area attractions Rooms are clean and comfortable with nice linens 10/10 would stay again!

J Loco (Jess)

Stayed here while passing through The room was clean, staff was friendly, and the property site was well kept Maybe a few homeless dudes a couple parking lots over but other than that, no worries

I also use the Hilton rewards app It’s a good benefit I could check in, get my room number, and digital room key, all in one swoop It was a lovely stay, thank you

Joe Sage

The staff here were super gracious and hospitable Really elevated the entire stayWe were traveling for a family vacation and enjoyed the pool and hot tub as a group

The fitness center has treadmills, a hotel style universal machine, medicine balls and yoga matsThough we were traveling for vacation, this could serve as a nice business hotel based on amenities and locationThere is an extensive snack shop, a bar with dinner menu Breakfast is reasonably priced and we enjoyed our mealThe entire stay was a pleasant surprise

At arrival we got a great customer service from Keith and Morgan at the front desk, they gave us recommendations for dinning and exploring Other staff members weren’t as accommodating ☹️At 9 am we were woke up by the fire alarm and had to exit the rooms without any explanations

Definitely not staying here again

We have been Marriott customers for yearsThis was one of the most disappointing stays we’ve ever hadRoom was described as having a pull out couch

in actuality, it had a pull out chair with a bed that was about as wide as a yoga mat and not long enough for a 5’10” personThere was no bedding for the “pull out bed” and we had to go request it They had no more pillows, so he had to pull a pillow from the bed for the pull out bedThere weren’t enough towels in the roomWe had the do not disturb sign on for all 3 days of our stay Housekeeping still felt it was appropriate to knock on the door first thing every morning, and came into our room while we were gone in spite of the sign being up and us telling them not to clean when they knocked on the door When we raised the issue with the management, the response was “did they steal anything?”The hot tub has a luke-warm tubAll in alla pretty disappointing stay at a Marriott property

The Review Master

We love staying here when we are passing through the lovely city and capital of California, Sacramento Jeanette at the front desk was not only the nicest employee ever, but she was knowledgeable in here line of work and was able to help me and my family with an issue we had with our credit cards Thank you Jeanette!!

I’m sure we aren’t the only ones that chose this location just for you Keep up the hard work!!

I travel for a living, so I have a chance to stay at different hotels I definitely like this one People are nice and caring

The hotel is clean, and I really enjoy my room It took me a while to decipher how to operate the shower, but when I did, it was one of the most enjoyable showers I have experienced so far (if you want to know what I mean, you will have to come and see it for yourself) My bed was comfortable and I love the coversI would definitely recommend this hotel

Christopher Holmes

I came with my kids for concert As soon as we checked in we got warm welcome staffs are very friendly Property is neat and clean

Lobby is modern Specifically we like the room setup multiple people can use restroom and shower Next morning we came down and bought breakfast we love the hot breakfast very yummy and low cost as much as we can eat We will recommend every one

Mashariki Lawson-Cook

Enjoyed my ravioli dinner immensely The sauce was great and the raviolis and chicken were tasty and filling Will definitely order again

Now, I also had a couple of drinks at the bar before dinner and they were AMAZING I’m have two lemons drops and Steve made them perfectly Smooth and sweet If I didn’t have to work the next day I would have ordered a 3rd one! Steve also suggested ordering the raviolis, so, he gets even more kudos! Love the food, drinks and Steve!

Worst Hampton Inn I have stayed at First the offer a shuttle from the airport sure but they don’t tell you that I need to bring a carseat for a 7 year old at which I called 3 hours in advanced to ask about the shuttle service and they only said call us when you get to the airport I understand the law but it would have been nice that they said something, it doesn’t even mentioned anything at their web page

I requested to talk to a supervisor and mentioned that since now I had to spend money to get there if they were going to give me a credit or something at which the manager laughed What a disrespect! Next day asked for a late checkout at which they gave me but deactivated my key card before the check out took them 5 minutes to active it and the came knocking to my door a 1pm sharp If my key was working I would have been out before 1pm Staff is not friendly whatsoever Not staying here ever again

Alicia Parker

** Edited to add- I have now left voicemails and completed the online response tool with ZERO reply from anyone representing the hotel I guess their below response was as lackluster and as their service prompting this review! **First room assignment included a broken lock When we asked for it to be fixed the front desk was abrasive

They offered us a room close to the laundry facilities but mentioned noise We declined due to noise and were offered a different room which was also incredibly loud Both rooms were dirty including stains on the chairs

I liked this hotel The reception was excellent The room were clean and spotless

The 3 stars are for the parking spaces They should make these other guys drive a truck with the trailer and a big utility trucks park out on the street Instead, they parked in the lot taking up 4-5 parking spots Yes, I end up parking out on the street

Andrew Zelechoski

The hotel itself looked pretty good from the outside but I quickly found out they are currently doing renovations and remodeling on the third floor (The same floor my room was on) I constantly had to contend with the smell paint, sawdust and whatever chemicals they were using

I was not told ahead of time of the ongoing/active renovations and if I would have known I probably wouldn’t had stayed here Also my room on he third floor had no hot water which I only discovered the day I was checking out when I tried to take a shower I brought this to the front desks attention and they seemed concerned and apologized but didn’t offer any sort of compassion or compensation for my hardship Overall I was very disappointed in my stay as they was a lot of repairs and renovations being done thru the hotel and things just seemed disarray Not a bad hotel there was just too much going on for me to really enjoy my stay

Robert Velasquez

The staff here is friendly and great you with a smile but the rooms are a bit worn outThis place is being remodeled so the gym and pool were closed, and the area surrounding the hotel is packed with homeless so I couldn’t go for a run I would not stay here with my family because of the surroundings

The rooms are big clean and very nice Staff is very friendly and the building is clean They would have a five star from our family but the breakfast in the morning wasn’t kept a eye on

They were not restocking and running out of stuff Another odd part that might not bother other people is the bathroom has a motion light Now everyone might think… not that big of deal but it is when your family is sleeping at 3am and someone uses the bathroom and can’t control the lights to keep them off The lights are so bright that it lights up the whole room and wakes people up Again, odd little thing but that’s why it’s not five stars Still with that being said we would still stay here again

Let’s face it, if you’re staying here, it’s because of budget concerns That being said, the rooms are spacious and clean The bed in the room that I got was stiff and very springy, some might like that but it’s not my cup of tea

You will be in a bad neighborhood, but they do have parking lot security that makes their presence known Walls are not very sound resistant If you’re coming on business or traveling solo, it’s an acceptable place to stay I would not bring family

Calla Flower

The lobby area was ok but the room that I got was dirty They don’t do a good with cleaning I had just checked in

It was around 5pm already when one of the cleaning ladies tried to open my door she must have a master key it was a good thing that I used the lock-lever on the door to secure the door from the inside When she couldn’t open the door she said something in Spanish and left The carpet is worn The elevator is old and shakes

Vladimir Gusiatnikov

This is a budget place Some Hamptons are fancier and this ain’t one Rooms are clean and well kept, showing some age

Beds are comfortable enough, pillows are basic If your room faces the freeway, you’ll get freeway sounds Unlike a previous reviewer, I didn’t find the neighborhood “bad”, it’s a working-class Sacramento hood, but then my tolerance is likely higher than that of most There is a sizable bank of EV chargers in the parking lot Some were ICEd out but not to the detriment of the several EV-owning guests Both of the two chargers I used worked in a straightforward way, price is $029/kWh I don’t know what the top charging speed is

Clean , friendly, easy access , & close to all attractions including the airport! The breakfast hit the spot each morning! The weight room was always clean & Vanessa at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with daily! Each time we entered or left we were greeted pleasantly The woman who worked the breakfast buffet were also very accommodating & easy to talk too ! The waffle machine was a huge hit with the kids & these women cleaned it up nicely ! Just wish they had a pool ! Fantastic stay thank you !

They got good amount of varieties in breakfast , so clean and tidy lobby place , computer dear for guests Floors are best with laundry , gym and parking is really good tooWhen it come to room – mini fridge , coffee access and closet, huge coach cum bed

But the bed was not in good shape Lot of back pain on sleeping over last 10 days Management need to look in to that seriously semi hard usually hotels use but full soft beds are not good always Room cleaning and staffs are awesome Worth staying out for 10 days

Wolf Pack

Happy with room, size and value is goodOn the flip side, was disappointed with the following;- Charged twice for the room and was not offered an apology-Front desk named Sara was not helpful- Asked for room to be cleaned and linen to be changed

Returned to my room late at night and nothing was done Was told that they only service the room at a certain time of the day Made it out it was my fault

Nice, comfortable, spacious room Hotel was quiet Room was clean

Bed was comfortable Minor nitpicks: no microwave in the room, though there was one in the lobby Toilet was on the low and small, though it gave me a chance to work on my quads Breakfast was minimal, apparently because of COVID But they did offer bananas and mandarin oranges and an instant oatmeal bowl, granola bars, and a small packaged sweet roll

THE WORST PLACE!!! THE WORST RECEPTIONISTS!!! If you want to feel calm and rest DO NOT STAY HERE FULL OF HOMELESS, the hotel has a gate but it has an open space where anyone can enter the parking lot The front desk girls do not even greet you when you enter and they have a bad face

Dirty room smells bad It is not safe for families or anyone who wants to rest and feel safe RUN

I read a mix of reviews about this place but I liked the management responses to the reviews so we decided to give this place a try I’m VERY glad we did! Parking was easy, free and plentiful Our room was large and extremely clean! I liked not having carpet and the hard-surface floor in our room had clearly been thoroughly scrubbed

Also, we were happy with how absolutely quiet it was overnight so we could sleep well The beds were soft and comfortable The breakfast was perfectway more variety than expected I loved that the cheese omelettes and potatoes were unseasoned which allowed us to season them ourselves Excellent value for the price! We would definitely stay again

Alyssa Rousseau

I usually don’t write reviews, but feel like many of the reviews did not paint this location how we felt First the good The staff was great

They were kind and friendly The breakfast was great as well We did get there pretty soon after they opened, about 6:45 or so (breakfast is from 6-10 every day), but it was fresh, eggs with cheese, sausage, biscuits filled with sausage and eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy, waffle station, cereal, bread and bagels, fruit, juice and coffee We did stop by before leaving about 8:30 one morning and all of the waffle stuff was put away, so it may go fast The location also seemed fairly safe, even though it is a rougher area a few blocks overOne of the reasons we booked the hotel was because it had such great reviews and was recommended for families We were traveling to visit the Zoo and FairyTale town with our young kids, 2 and 4 This is more of a mix between hotel and motel Some rooms are accessible from hallways inside, others are outside through a locked gate, more like a motel We stayed in one of these rooms When we walked in, the smell of cleaning supplies took us back and all windows had been left open They have removed all carpet and replaced it with linoleum floors, our feet were sticking to the floors as we were walking around (we assumed from whatever they used to clean) The beds also shifted on the floors if you leaned against them or bumped them Because of the floors and lack of carpet and padding, you hear every step the people above you make There isn’t a built-in closet, but a freestanding one and desk and cabinets with a fridge and microwave in it These close very loudly with strong magnets Again, you can also hear when your neighbors close theirs Not helpful with small kids if you are trying to open or close them while kids are sleeping The bathroom only had one bar towel rack, a back of door hook would have been helpful, there is basically no counter space, and the toilets don’t have lids Not very friendly for sharing a space with others, or being able to close the lid so kids don’t throw stuff in It gave the bathroom a public restroom feel It would have been nice as well for them to see we reserved the room for 4 people and provide enough bath towels and washcloths for everyone, but I had to request more They provided containers on the wall in the shower for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, the conditioner was empty (only to find out while taking a shower), and they had hand soap and lotion on the wall in the bathroom The lotion was not lotion Overall, this was not what we would have expected for the price or the other reviews

Jojo Dukes

When we first saw the room we were like wow nice! as we entered we could smell that funky rundown motel smell, there was a spill on the table/counter top that was next to the TV Luckily we always take a container of sanitizing wipes with us because I had to get to work and wipe down all table tops, bathroom cupboard top, sink and toilet, the wipes were so dirty, I was surprised because it looked like everything was nice and clean except for that spill On our wall was a bug that looked like a roach that someone smashed but no one cleaned it up

One thing the sheets looked nice and clean We were really happy that we stayed only one night

My family stayed @ Larkspur Landing hotel in Sacramento, California briefly and our experience was awful and we’ll never returnThe parking lot didn’t look monitored, and there were used syringes everywhere, so gross On check in our room looked nothing like the photos online, it looked grotesque and depressing

And the bathroom had maintenance issues We were going to check out due to all of the above but we had dinner plans that evening so we just dealt with it When we were there a front desk “manager” (a Caucasian woman in her 40s? with circa 2005 yellow highlights) was repeatedly unpleasant Said manager was also hostile and ignorant towards me when I needed something simple for our room The sheer amount of ugliness that this “manager ” kept projecting at us seemed personal, so I rightfully critiqued her for it Despite us trying to avoid her, the next day that same”manager” maliciously attacked us in the lobby about my criticism from the previous day I guess she couldn’t handle someone standing up to herThis “Manager’s” self entitled child-like buffoonery projected at us was vile at that point We didn’t owe her the time of day so we immediately disengaged with that “manager” and left the lobby We ended up speaking to the GM of the hotel , and he apologized profusely for that incidentAlso, per my request I was assured by the GM that we wouldn’t have to engage with said manager again for the remainder of our stayHowever, we were over it And thankfully we cut our stay short at this trash hotel and booked a suite at a cleaner hotel with a classier staff ( Marriott) The staff there couldn’t have been nicer and more professional, and the property was gorgeous and well maintained It ended up being an absolute perfect fit for us, so thank you Marriott

For the price, it is an extreme value! The premises are very clean and clean smelling The amenities are top-notch in the breakfast is better than most of the continental breakfast you see Also the staff is extremely accommodating

The only small downside is that the room was a tad small and TV HDMI were both malfunctioning Not a big deal for me though It was a very great experience

This was probably one of my worst experiences at a hotel Came from the bay to attend the bubble race with my 2yr old Check-in was fine, the woman at the front desk was very kind and pleasant

She offered to put me where it would be a little more quiet When we got to the room Friday night, noticed ants all over the bathroom, they said they would send someone up and that never happenedThen when we got back to the room to sleep, there was an extremely loud party that went on until 3am (Not the hotel’s fault) but none the less very disruptive “Breakfast” the next morning was horrible It seemed like it was just pastries scattered around from the local grocery store The creamer for the coffee was all the way spoiled and the woman at the front didn’t make an effort to change it or remove the spoiled creamer I tried to canceled my room for the second night to no avail That night, the fire alarm goes off at 4am and disoriented, I had to grab my 2yr old and rush him outside in the rain We were outside for about a half hour before they let us back in The next morning in an effort to let my son sleep considering the night he had, I asked if we could get a late check-out (check-out is at noon, I asked for 1pm) the front desk attendant was extremely rude and wouldn’t let us nor would give me a reason why I couldn’t Overall is was a horrible experience and I would highly recommend people look elsewhere, especially for the price (spent $320 for 2 very disruptive nights)

Excellent place! Awesome staff – polite and efficient and friendly! Judy, who does the weekday breakfast is THE BEST! She keeps everything stocked and asks us if we need anything else Maria, the housekeeping lady is so friendly and helpful, sweet and kind – I want her to be my housekeeper every time i’m there! The front desk people are also terrific and great assets for this hotel The general manager has done a great job hiring wonderful people! I highly recommend this hotel!!!!!

The hotel falls somewhat short of what we have come to expect from Marriott’s level of class It’s not horrible, just not up to par Great location for the hotel though, decent food options and close to downtown and the airport

Rooms: Rooms are semi updated The room we were in had a dented fridge that I brought to the attention of staff because I didn’t want to be charged for itStaff: Staff is friendly, but they appear stressed and overworked Example: I called the front desk the night before check out, asking the front desk what time checkout was They said “3pm” I thought it was odd and confirmed 3pm and they agreed The next day, we went out for an extended breakfast and returned at 12:25 Our key cards didn’t work I approached the front desk and they asked me why I was was past checkout time I informed them I was told 3pm, twice, by the front desk employee from the night before and the current employee was still bewildered and repeatedly told me I was past checkout I don’t know what the issue was since I was just trying to get my key card renewed so I can get into the room and get my stuff so I can leaveTo be clear, the staff was respectful, they just appear to be super stressed with a lot going onOur experience overall wasn’t bad, there just wasn’t anything great about it Pretty substandard for Marriott This could be influenced by the pandemic, so cut the staff some slackI would still stay here, it just may not be my first choice

The room charges full price but no one lets you know that the room will only be cleaned every 5 days After three days of no housekeeping I went and ask the room service attendant to please make up our room she only look at me and checked her paper assignment When my husband and I come back to the room that evening the room was not cleaned

We called front desk they told us that they make up rooms only if we call and schedule We schedule one for next day at 11:00 am at 3:00 pm when I came back the room still not cleaned I called the lobby several times no one care to answer the phone I went down stair to receptionist this is the first time they tell us about the 5 days between cleanings I told her it would’ve be nice to have the information at check in or a sign in the room, or in the email they send at check in The receptionist apologized for missing today cleaning schedule and asked if I still want the room clean? Covid restrictions are no longer in place and yet a good hotel is just trying to take a vanish of it to pay less housekeeping staff So sad! A Marriott hotel should never let something like that happened It was a holiday weekend and and the hotel was full there was really no excuse not to have full staff in site

The hotel is a 12-minute drive to the airport and 20-25 minutes to downtown The hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants and a park There is no shuttle

If you’re a light sleep ask a room facing the parking lot or a higher floor since there is a highway nearby Windows are thick but the walls are a little thinThe staff was kind and got me checked in quickly They even allowed for an early check-in The room was a nice size and clean The bed was comfortable as were the linens The bathroom was clean as well with a modern shower The room had a full modern galley kitchen to include a stove and dishwasherOther Amenities:- Free WiFi-Outdoor pool- Fitness room- Full galley kitchen-Laundry room-Continental breakfast (breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and cerealsThe hotel encouraged social distancing and has an optional mask policy for fully vaccinated guests and required a mask for unvaccinated guests
