As soon as you walk in you are immediately glad you decided to book here The hotel is clean, the staff is nice, and the views are beautiful The breakfast made me feel like I was on a cruise with open windows overlooking the bay

We really enjoyed fishing off of the private pier and my wife caught a PB black drum My only complaint was our room had on of those conjoined room doors which made it easy to hear your neighbors It made me slightly uncomfortable, but overall I loved this hotel and we will definitely be back

Melanie Thomas

The view was amazing, great breakfast and nicely decorated rooms but the last night I was staying I left the hotel to go to the grocery store and when I got back no parking spots whatsoever The morning I was checking out my daughter was sitting and saw a silver fish on my bed Also I find how the pool and hot tub is overpopulated and the people in it don’t leave until 3 – 6 hours

Everything else was great Next to a few restaurants you could easily walk to Nice bay side view

Michael McCarter

Check-in time is 4pm and we attempted to check in We were told the room wasn’t quite ready, but “give us 10-15 minutes” OK, no big deal

At 4:15, same story This goes on til 5pm There were no apologies, no have a drink at the bar on us, nothing At 5pm, during my 5th attempt to check in, one of the other employees senses my frustration and says to our receptionist, “Just give them another room that’s ready” What a brilliant idea! So we get get checked in The room was very nice, a double queen on the bay side Excellent views! Great location Nice room amenities-small fridge, coffee pot, ironing board, etc Great AC! We settle in to go to sleep that night when the fire alarm goes off and the entire hotel has to evacuate I know they have no control over this, but it definitely detracted from the experience Next day we got two mixed drinks from the bar Mine was extremely weak/watered down, but my wife’s was quite good The pool was surprisingly cool for late summer, which felt good The hot tub was nice & hot The complimentary breakfast buffet was pretty good Overall, it was a good stay but the first day sucked Just a little customer service would have gone a long way when our room wasn’t ready I would rate 35 stars for our experience

Nice staff, room very clean Toilet didn’t flush fully Manager told me about a screw you have to adjust to raise the tank water to the appropriate levels

They should’ve already had that properly installed They delivered our breakfast in the mornings Oh, DO NOT TAKE FOOD TO POOL at night Several different kinds of roaches will be in your food within seconds Our $30 pizza was opened just long enough two grab 2 chairs across the pool, came back, had at least 6 big passed roaches on it Other than this, we’d stay here again for $100 bucks less a night Nice room, great staff

Tabitha Bailey

I am a stand-up comedian of over twenty-five years experience and I was doing a show this past weekend in Port Aransas, TX I was looking for a room for the night nearby and I found the Sleep Inn & Suites in Ingleside, TX And all I can say is, “Wow!” There are a number of hotels in the area, but I’m so glad I found this one

You walk through the front door of the lobby and immediately get a taste of everything the Sleep Inn & Suites has to offer Across from the front desk, you see the large dining area where they offer their free fantastic breakfast You can also see their impressive workout room as well as signs that point to their other amenities like an outdoor pool, laundry room and business center A fax and copy machine are also available I was only their for one night and wished I had more time to take advantage of everything this place had to offerThe room was really beautifully designed with plenty of room for luggage and still space to move around comfortably A large bathroom, such a plus, that offers all the bells and whistles a weary travelers is looking forAll these things by themselves would be enough for a five star review But here is where the Sleep Inn & Suites goes above and beyond When I entered the room I found bottles of water and snacks waiting for me But there was also a hand written note from Karen She is the Operations Manager at the Sleep Inn & Suites and also the woman I spoke with when I booked the room While on the phone I mentioned I was a comedian and in town for a show The note from Karen read”Welcome! Hope the show is great! Enjoy your stay! Karen”As I guy who spends a great deal of time living out of a suitcase, I can not tell you just how much something like that is appreciated As a person who makes his living talking for a living, I don’t often say this But I was speechlessThank you Karen, your staff and Sleep Inn & Suites

The staff in the lobby were friendly and helpful The private pier access is awesome for fishing and the views from the room are great Our condo 405 was beautifully decorated and very clean

The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room It was four of us and still two bunks that we didn’t even use Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway and enjoy some fishing

Jack Densmore

We had an amazing time with our visit with this hotel The room was clean, the entire hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff was extremely friendly We noticed by the signs that there is regular round of pest control, so no signs of bugs! The pier was also high quality, very sturdy, and structurally sound

Had a fun time fishing even though the fish just stole our baitWe didn’t get time to try the pool but it also looked very clean and maintainedHad a nitpick complaint that the sliding door to the balcony was hard to open/close but the staff was aware and I understand it’s hard to maintain stuff like that in a coastal climate It did not ruin our experience at allThis is a phenomenal hotel and if we ever find ourselves in Rockport again we will look here first for a room I want to thank Laguna Reef for making our quick vacation a pleasant one!

Wendy at the front desk was so sweet and amazing, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and was always willing to help answer all the questions we had She made us feel welcome from the very beginning at check in The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very nice and clean

The pool and hot tube was so nice and they always kept the towels stocked outside and was always cleaning the hotel Very clean and nice place Will definitely be bringing my family back and highly recommend to anyone Thanks again Wendy and way to be such an amazing person, you made our stay so great 😃

Lauri D. Bridgen

Nice hotel with easy access at the entrance of Fulton-Rockport coming in on 35 South Very friendly hotel staff! The rooms and the common areas are clean The establishment is fairly quiet, especially for a holiday weekend

The beds are a little firm, but I personally like a firm mattress I wasn’t a fan of the pillows My head sinks straight to the bed What’s the point of a pills like that? Personal preference, I understand The breakfast needs some improvement The eggs taste like they’re made from powder and water Yuck! The sausage patties were pretty good though They have a little shopping area filled with sodas, beer, medicine and snacks The shampoo, conditioner and body wash is bolted to the wall; no travel size toiletries I was in the shower and realized the shampoo was empty I had to wash my hair with body wash Wasn’t awful, but housekeeping should pay better attention to those details The bathroom is stocked with towels and a hairdryer The room itself has a mini fridge, microwave and small coffee pot Pets are an additional fee if $50 upon bookingI would have given 5 stars if the breakfast was better and the shampoo issue didn’t happen Maybe this will improve by time I visit again

Sky

Very lovely placeStaff was very kind and we genuinely loved it 😍 nobody bothered us and it was extremely clean the beds and pillows were absolutely wonderful

And they’re soups and lotions that are already in the room smell amazing!5 stars all the way around

This is a newer hotel with the most anti-viral precautions of any I’ve ever encountered The cleaning staff is not allowed to enter rooms until guests check out! They leave fresh towels, linens and supplies at the door for you if you request them! That said, our room was clean and looked almost new I didn’t see any dirt or stains

The bed was a little softer than I prefer, but worked The biggest draw back was that the water at the sink took forever to warm up and never got hot That was not a problem with the shower It was fineThe breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel since Covid started There was a clerk assigned to make sure everything was well stocked and fresh She did a great job and was friendly and helpful Gloves were provided so that you did not need to touch any utensils with your hands Sausage patties and scrambled eggs were served both days that we stayed there along with fresh pastries, a waffle maker, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, cereal, oatmeal, etc There was pretty much something for everyone The dining room was spacious and comfortable, tooThe foyer is attractive and I was impressed that there were two working elevators for guests and several luggage carts I didn’t use the gym or pool, but they looked good

Ryan Benavides

I stayed at this location in September 2021 with outstanding service I planned another trip this April 2022 and I was extremely disappointed Walking into the hotel I was greeted properly

However, as I entered the elevator it smelt like dirty dogs The smell was so awful As I was entering my room I noticed there was a black mark on the toilet seat, dust all over the furniture and a strong weird smell Everything seemed “cleaned” but wasn’t When I finally went to bed I started to feel extremely itchy and uncomfortable I woke up and saw a little black bug that looks like fleas I immediately got up checked the entire bed and felt awful I notified the front desk and they told me due to COVID I have to wait till 9am for someone to clean I was extremely upset because this feeling was awful Finally, I addressed it with this company and they said this is a mystery of my “bites” because there was no evidence of this situation After hearing how they are handling this situation is wrong I will be contacting Human Resources and submitting proof of my bites and issues that we had in this room I can’t believe the staff didn’t care about this situation They made it seem like I was making it up Back in 2017 someone else had this same problem I’m writing this review to help peers avoid this situation

Benjamin Talaro

My wife and I loved the experience we shared here especially when the person(Jennifer) greeted me when I came in the establishmentI have to say Jennifer should be the face to represent the Wyndham Hotels She was the best!! The room was perfect making our little vacation even more memorable

The breakfast experience was excellent and the lady responsible for it was nice as well!THANK YOU!! 💯👍🏽

What a wonderful place to stay! Tammy was so kind checking us in, and answering all our questions kindly The Cottage from the outside made me make an assumption the inside was going to be outdated What a wonderful surprise

It looked newly renovated All new furniture from ceiling to floors Very clean, and a very great place to stay for one day or even 6 days plus comfortably A+++

Kimberly Beckham

We stayed in one of the cottages and we loved the retro vibe! Super clean and super comfy The staff was just the best! The house cleaner heard my kiddo playing with the hand soaps and made sure to bring her an extra couple and it just made her day! The location is perfect, not too far from the beach and super close to some of the best places to eat in town!

Kelly Donnell

We stayed two nights in the large cottage (2 BR) It was very comfortable and was an excellent alternative to a hotel room It was quiet, and even though we didn’t use the pool, it looked fantastic

The bathroom is very dated but it was functional! My only complaint is that the bill doesn’t actually explain what they are charging “resort fees” for I feel that there should be one price – a nightly rate – then add the tax – and that’s your total I feel that “resort fees” kind of take advantage of the guest Overall, I’d stay here again

I actually really enjoy this hotel This is my go-to hotel for my work travel to RockportI originally gave it four stars as it is difficult to give a two star hotel five stars but considering how many other hotels I’ve stayed at in the same brand line this one really does stand out so I think it earned it

The staff is super friendly, remembers me after just a couple of visitsThe rooms are always clean as are the bathroomsThe breakfast is actually decent and the servers really seem to care about helping, even cooking some bacon more crispy than othersThe bar isn’t too bad but I don’t frequent it since I work a lotThe fitness center is actually pretty nice for a FairfieldIf you stay with Marriott, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here if you ever need to

S Bryant

Amazing stay! This hotel was extremely accommodating for my family and me this Mother’s Day weekend First off, the lobby, dining area, and bar was beautiful Front staff so kind and inviting! The room was absolutely gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable, and having two TVs was so great! We called for extra pillows and blankets, they were up in minutes

My kids were in heaven during breakfast… muffins, waffles, bacon, eggs… We will be back for sure next time we are in Rockport!

Dichelle Hogues

I’m giving 5 stars because overall it was great I would love for them to update/clean the outside furniture The patio/cabanas near the pool are a perfect addition but need a little love

The swing and chairs near the fireplace smell like cigarette smoke and I get it’s their location but for non smokers can’t really enjoy We will definitely stay here again because the outside is not a deal breaker in this 1000 degree summer weather in the great state of Texas

We enjoyed how big the room was and that they had a little kitchenette with dishes, pots and pans etc The breakfast options could have been better but it worked for my family When we checked in the front lady said they were very short staffed so to get towels if we needed them

The pool can only be accessible through the outside but again it worked out Very good rates and only 25 min away from our destination at the beach

Maria P. Bell

This wonderful hotel is unobtrusive but wonderful Our room was huge, clean, and thankfully on the ground floor The breakfast is great and you get to make your own Texas shaped waffle

We even had biscuits and gravy on Sunday Even though you’re in a small town, you’re only 20 minutes from all the sights Holly made us feel right at home and gave us great local advice Give her a raise!

Lovely Deanna

Pros and cons mixed feelings for sure Justin and Jessica for the front staff are super helpful and kind The other lady I am not sure if she is the manager, but she had an attitude about checking in with my family and also when we asked about cleaning… room service did not come during our whole weekend stay

The hotel rooms layouts are nice and spacious, but needs to be cleaned all around, dishes were dirty, ac was dirty I wore white clean socks and literally were black from the floors… The breakfast was fully stocked throughout the whole breakfast hours, and simple

When I booked i told them I would arrive late The lady at the desk actually called to make sure i was coming I let her know I was on way

She wished me a safe trip When we arrived, they were so friendly & accommodating Great to see such kindness The room was reasonably priced, clean, and was everything we needed It didn’t hurt that it was located directly across from the beach and could see it from our hotel windowIndeed would recommend this place to anyone Thanks for a great stay!

Okay, I’d have to say, an overall improvement from March to May My room was clean and the bathroom was too I liked that the mini fridge had an upgraded look to it and overall way more pleasant than when we were there in March

Even their “version” of a light breakfast was better than last time I would give it an overall 4 1/2 stars vs 5 only because we ran out of toilet paper and the housekeeper didn’t have any Oh and the website should update their property photos

Diana Ramirez

Great quick stay Manager stayed up late when I arrived well past the 3 PM check in Rooms were refreshing and clean when opening room door

Nicely updated throughout bedrooms and lobby Breakfast was pancakes, yogurt, toast, cereal, juice variety, and coffee View outside of hotel is gorgeous overlooking water Down the road from Fulton Pier Would definitely stay here again and recommend

Beds to high for my elderly parents to get on safely

However i still love the view fromoutside the room and fishing from the nice pier My stepmom was upset about being told we had to sweep floor ourselves before leaving! Her words (we didn’t just spend close to $50000 to have to sweep a floor when NONE of our issuses were addressed!!!!), fyi, aerators for sinks need cleaning, lights in room need brighter bulbs to dim00

We used to come here when it was Balboa and loved it Stayed in the same little cabin we always stayed in back then A little kitchenette with pots and pans, utensils, all the things you need to wash dishes and prepare your food

Two beds, and a bathroom A/C works great!! Small dining table and cable tv Whether you come during the weekend or weekday, I recommend making reservations There are nice little cabanas with picnic tables to enjoy the views and take in some salty air Fishing pier isn’t complete at this time but the fishing was great!! We caught lots of keepers 21″ speckled trout and 19″ as well The pier is private for guest only and is lighted with seating at each light Lighted cleaning station as well Early morning saw dolphins hunting for fish All in all I was very pleased with our trip

All of the tenants were great people, including the neighbors along Water Street The room was clean Cute studio style beach cottage with kitchen necessities, great water pressure to get the sea salt off you Patio table with a palm leaf covering to sit & eat while viewing the water and hearing the waves We also loved the great sturdy lit pier for fishing The pier is privately owned by Reel ‘em Inn with a security code for tenants onlyWe plan on making regular visits nowI would highly recommend this place

I stayed here during a last-minute trip with my children to visit Port Aransas and North Padre Island Overall, my stay was great and if I had to I’d stay again It was a bit far from the areas we wanted to visit, but it wasn’t too bad and we made it work

1 The staff here were all very friendly and accommodating I think this was the best thing about the hotel We had to get up early to go to North Padre Island for the turtle release, and the front desk agent opened breakfast for us early before we left No complaints here2 The grounds were clean, as was the lobby3 Traveling to Port Aransas wasn’t that bad, the length of the trip really depended on the wait for the Ferry Getting to the ferry wasn’t that bad of drive, but one of the days we did have a wait to load the ferry It isn’t a big of a deal enough for me to complain4 My only complaint was the room It was clean, the bedding was fine but it did have a very distinct stale/old smell I went and bought Febreeze Spaces fresheners, and while it helped it didn’t completely cover or rid the smell Our things even smelled like the room once we left Other than that, the room was comfortable for us to sleep in, and even with it being on the first floor we heard minimal noise

We literally only picked this hotel because of the big beautiful swimming pool they use as their man advertising picture We get there and check in and they also “charge to the nearest tenth” so your over charged and have to wait 3-5 days to get the over charged amount back Besides that, literally AS SOON AS I paid for our stay, lady at the desk was like “oh ya by the way our pool is closed because it’s dirty”…

We had an 8 year old little girl who was excited to swim in that big pool they advertised If I would have known the pool was closed BEFORE I paid, we would have went somewhere else with a clean available pool I literally typed in “hotels with best swimming pools” so our stay there was basically pointless So if you are wanting to stay here to enjoy the swimming pool, go somewhere else Because you won’t get that here The room was okay! The shower looks cool but the water pressure is horrible and we also saw old boogers wiped on the shower wall along with little curly black hairs in the wash cloths So bring your own linen The pull out sofa my daughter was supposed to sleep in had tons of debris, crumbs, dirt, and unknown junk all on the mattress and under the mattress The sofa had trash like wrappers and junk under it Obviously they don’t do the necessary deep cleaning that should be done for other clean people to enjoy their stay I kept feeling like something was crawling on me while I was in bed but I couldn’t figure out what it was I had a few bites on me when I woke up this morning I wouldn’t go back and I definitely wouldn’t recommend The staff was nice aside from being told the pool was closed AS SOON AS the money was pulled from my card I felt that was done purposely in a sneaky snake kind of way You need to inform people before they check in and pay Not immediately after It’s shady to do it like that

This spot was perfectWe loved the service and the roomPool was a little bit dirty but okay

Nice little place in town within walking distance to the water and park By all the stores you need: HEB, Walmart within two miles away and restaurants Wild Prawn was good

30 min drive to Corpus Christi Parking is a bit tight but it’s a small hotel Room very clean and updated Does just have coffee set up but as a travel nurse, I bring everything with me anyways We got a pack of single serve Folgers and sugar etc from HEB for $1 each We left a day early and they refunded us a room with no issues Housekeepers and owners very nice Get receipt on check in The only downside is no towel hooks in the bathroom; just one towel bar and no curtains to keep light out of windows Bathroom kind of tight but remodeled and new Good apt sized fridge and micro We bought food and kept it without issue without having to eat out for all 3 meals People park all over A few live ins, but they are nice Great view of the park and water

Simple, clean and right across from the harbor, park and Rockport beach Fixtures were a little rusty but that happens at places closer to the water A/C was nice and cold

I will say there isn’t anyone in the office and you have to call to get a room key The staff meet you there quickly There was some things going on in the parking lot You could tell locals knew the place wasn’t monitored on site We still plan to go back

The location was great it was a short ferry trip to port Aransas Beach The service was great too But the room was not the best although the beds were clean the sink bowl was cracked and when you wanted cold water it was a little stream of it and If you wanted hot water it came out a lot faster but that is the only problem we had

Overall a good place to stay on vacation or business

Darrian Bertrand

Hotel room was dirty (something sticky all over the desk and hair all over the shower curtain) and the bathroom ventilation was poor (even with the fan on, within a few minutes of the shower being on the whole bathroom was soaking wet and there was moisture behind the large mirror in the room) This was probably why there was a strong musty smell Breakfast is also only a yogurt or a frozen sandwich, which has to be requested at the front desk

Not terrible for a night or two, but I wouldn’t want to stay there any longer

Keith Lewallen

The heater didn’t work in the hotel The first night i spoke to the the gentleman about it and he confirmed it wasn’t working and he tried two other rooms but they didn’t work either The toilet wouldn’t shut off and the water was running the whole time

We had to use the hair dryer to help heat the room where we could sleep We woke up for the free breakfast but it’s not on, contrary to what is reported on the hotel site You are given a breakfast bag with a muffin, a fruit cup and a granola barTerrible customer service and the manager was never there and wouldn’t return any phone calls They never offered a room that had a heater that worked or any compensation NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the cabins for a quick quiet getaway from the city We absolutely LOVED it As soon as we walked in it smelled clean, everything was tidy, and so comfortable

We enjoyed the comfy homey feeling it provided with a small kitchen and super clean restroomWe will surely visit again in the near futureWe highly recommend!

Hailey Renee

Third time staying here and while we appreciate the activity, privacy is also appreciated Expect a spotless stay but the owners live in close proximity and frequently come over to the cabins to throw hints or KNOCK LOUDLY on the door at 7pm for us to throw out the trash I understand maintaining properties but that also comes with some things being able to wait until the end of a 2 day stay, thanks

Cabins are beautiful besides the rude comments I also received today from the owner about it being a problem that my child picked up some rocks that are IN THE PARKING AREA Didn’t see why it was an issue Will not be returning

I posted a scathing review about this hotel The clerk called me and we ironed out the problems In short, the hotel is a very very small hotel and staffing in this retirement town is difficult

The one clerk also has to strip the beds and all the other tasks, along with one, maybe two other people To make this short and sweetif you want an excellent location, the most accomodating clerk who is one of the best people I’ve met, Sun, be sure to call to confirm your arrival time in the afternoon, and, smell the sheets before you take the room Take care of these two issues and your will have a simply incredible stay

If I could give this Motel a 0 star I would When we arrived the toilet had actual feces on the seat The shower had some type of mold in the tub, every single surface was disgusting like nothing had been wiped or sanitized

The blanket had a stain that looked like feces The microwave and fridge were DISGUSTING, and the fridge didn’t keep any of our food cold The walls of the shower looked like they had never once been cleaned Everything literally everything was just sooo disappointing, even for a motel 6 I will never ever recommend anyone to this motel Which is sad because my family and I visit this area quite a lot It was beyond disgusting Plz never stay here Waste of my money

Gabriel Cantu Jr

Clean place but manager was rude and confrontational He didn’t have the pool open when it was so hot outside so we went and asked why He told us bc their was a chance of rain but it never did rain at all but he finally got persuaded into finally opening up the pool

Other guests were happy to see the pool finally open as well The pool did look pretty dirty but when it’s hot out, any water feels great to jump into!!
