Michael Garcia

Great Resort / Hotel Awesome heated pool and hot tubs and spa area with gym, sauna and steam room Easy access to skiing with a quick walk across the pedestrian bridge to the Snowshed base area

Our only complaint was that the Murphy bed in our studio suite was not very comfortable Otherwise great experience and we came at the perfect time – lots of snow but not terribly cold and almost the entire mountain / trails were open Well groomed The skiing was excellent

Nilufer Usta

Ski in and out (kind of – you have to walk over the bridge) Definitely the place to stay when in Killington The proximity to Snowshed and to the lifts make it very convenient

We stayed at a studio with a Murphy bed The only complaint I have is the smell in the room A combination of disinfectant and humidity Having said that it is still the place to stay You can enter the hot swimming pool right from the spa Then you can jump in one of the two hot tubs next to the swimming pool Sitting in the hot tub and watching the mountains behind a curtain of steam is what you need after a taxing day of hardcore skiing Oh if you forget your bathing suit, not to worry The spa has some for you to buy The staff is friendly and very helpful

Antenna Wilde

In the Wilde room on Saturday 11:30 – 2ish, the staff manning the buffet were very unfriendly Hardly any eye contact, dismissive They made us feel like we were imposing on them

To be frank, they came across as hating their jobs (and/or resenting us for being well-off?) The truth is, we were coming from a funeral and had splurged on the event Personally I am quite poor and appreciate those who work in the service industry, as I am also in the service industry, but not here They made us feel very unwelcome, and it was actually uncomfortable returning to the buffet for something else to eat I never said anything to anyone, and would not have made this review until after speaking with my wife today, who mentioned how miserable they seemed, and how uncomfortable she was tooIt is indeed difficult to find good help these days, and I sympathize with the management at the Grand Resort, but hope they can effectively convey to these staff members what their job actually IS Their job is to be kind, helpful, and attentive, not condescending and resentful They didn’t know us at all, yet seemed to pass judgment without a word exchanged If they had an open mind and engaged in conversation, they might have found us to be good people who appreciated what they were hired to do for us Instead they left us feeling undeserving of their food, which was actually quite good

The lady at the front desk was awesome I think her name is Becky Got there super early because I traveled overnight and she did her best to get me in a room

The room was so clean, bed and pillows were extremely comfortable The bathroom was spotless My fear when going to hotels, is a dirty bathroom But I had no issues here Breakfast was also great, eggs were properly prepared I wish I could give more than 5 stars

Michael Nixt

Super friendly staff The rooms were super clean, even as the employees still joked about the disgusting bowling teams that left the rooms an absolute mess Great sense of humor regardless, and I am glad they took it in stride

Breakfast was good, plentiful and had a wide selection of foods to choose fromI will be returning in the future provided I can get it at a fair price during the ski season!

Very convenient location The rooms were very clean with plenty of room Unfortunately the hot tub was out of commission for the time being, but there was a brand new sauna

Lots of space in the game room(s) with plenty of games Pretty good TV and a nice selection of books Very friendly staff and a really good breakfast Really good travel time to the two local mountains

Debbie Brooks

So friendly, accommidating, and a beautiful pool They have a sweet little poodle that helps greet people and clean rooms (it even left a pink ball in our room so we could go visit it to return the ball) Rooms are clean

Other guests are all nice and friendly with each other Breakfast was fresh, good, and great selection (including chocolate chip pancakes)

Good place, but we got placed next to the recreation area, and people playing air hockey could be heard in our room when we were trying to get to sleep early There was no mini fridge, but I didn’t look to see if it was included in the amenities so I can’t count that against them Otherwise, the A/C was good, reception was very friendly, and it had a sauna, pool, and rec area

My husband and I stayed at the Snowed Inn for four nights We can’t recommend this beautiful Inn enough We were greeted warmly by the staff on check-in

Our room was cozy and clean The common room fireplace, freshly baked cookies, wine bar & snacks were all wonderful Each morning, a freshly made breakfast was brought to us at the time we chose in the dining room The private time for the hot tub was really lovely, especially after a long day on the slopes! Ken and Carolyn were so attentive and they genuinely care about their guests We can’t wait to come back to Killington We absolutely will be staying here again!

Naomi Munroe-Davidson

The Snowed Inn is the cutest B&B and I wish we had stayed longer than one night! The staff was so welcoming and the atmosphere of the rooms and the entire inn was so cozy The fresh, made to order breakfast was delicious and you choose what time you want it to be set out for you Hot tub, fresh cookies and a bar are the perfect additions to make you feel like you don’t even need to leave! Owner was awesome and sat down with us at breakfast

Overall, an awesome stay!

This place was great Went in the “off” season and it was still wonderful The owners and staff were very nice

It was a perfect place to stop after a week of camping to wash up and sleep in a super comfy bed Also one of the few places we have stayed where we wanted to hang out outside of our rooms since its so cozy in the lobby/guest areas Will definitely come back!

The hosts are very nice, friendly, and accommodating people I asked for late check-in even though they don’t offer it because we were cutting it close with our driving and departure time, and they decided to make an exception for us! Fortunately, we arrived just in time They also roast and brew their own coffee and have a variety of great coffees for sale

Rachel Weiss

Robin and Steve who run the motel are so extremely welcoming and hospitable If you are just looking for a place to rest your head this place is for you Clean and comfortable rooms within a 2 minute drive to Killington access road

This was perfect for our quick overnight stop on our drive from Bar Harbor to Philadelphia The people at the front desk were so welcoming and inviting The rooms and bathrooms were super clean

The bathrooms were a little outdated, but that was no problem for us because they were still super clean and in perfect working order The design of the hotel, with separate buildings kind of like a lodge, provided a lot of privacy The breakfast was really delicious, especially the waffles and the coffee

PeterJ Romano

Quiet, clean amenities Friendly and highly knowledgeable and helpful staff, Sam gave us so much info and background about the area, places to go/see, things to do! Amazing fellow, really should be a tour guide (Thanks Sam!) Steve at the front desk is also an artist and his nice paintings are on display in the dining area! You helped make our visit to the area even nicer guys!!

Sheri Deerhake

I gave 2 stars because it was clean The room/bathroom was good sized, beds were comfortable, and it is unique in that it’s more like small apartment buildings spread around a nice common area Without these things, the rating would have been 1

The mini fridge in the room didn’t work They sent a maintenance man who fiddled around with it, reset the breaker, and said he thought it would be OK It wasn’t About an hour later, another maintenance man showed up with no warning, checked it out, and said that it was old and temperamental and would need more work than he could do then Duh It makes no sense to me that the room was even rented when one of the amenities obviously didn’t work There was no offer to bring us a new fridge (not a difficult thing to do for anyone who can carry 40ish#- unplug it, take it out, bring in the new one, plug it in) or give us a different room The hotel was obviously not full When checking out, I went to the vending machine for some cold pop The selection was low and limited I put a $20 in and was given $17 in quarters I then went to the front desk and the receptionist wasn’t going to switch it to bills for me I was flabbergasted! She was on the phone forever before even greeting me and then she flatly refused to take the quarters When I told her there wouldn’t have even been an issue if the fridge in our room had worked, she started to be more helpful and suddenly found some quarter rollers, which once I put the change in, she did exchange it Then she apologized for the inconvenience and said that she would give us a discounted rate for the room Fifteen minutes later after a bunch of tapping on the keyboard, and chatter about the process not working for some reason, etc, I left without a discounted rate and feeling decidedly grumpy The overall experience was just not worth the room rate As an aside, the restaurants in the area close early, only one offered delivery, and for some reason 2 of them seemed to have their phones off the hook for more than the 15 minutes that we tried to call and place an order for pickupUpdate: After posting this review, the manager left a message for me to contact him I left 2 messages for him, both with no response 3 strikes, you’re out

Just visited with my husband and my dog Esmé We had a great stay at the Paw house inn! We stayed a Brooklyn’s bungalow- one of the tiny homes in the back It was a great size and super clean

It was very private and had everything you needed We loved the little fenced-in deck space too The location of the inn was conveniently located near many local restaurants and activities The park was perfect for my pup to make friends and get out some energy All and all, I will be recommending this place to my dog-lover friends 🙂

Gabrielle Cray

If you are reading through these reviews before staying at the Paw House Inn our family can confirm all these fantastic reviews are true We had such an amazing experience from the first call Mitch was extremely helpful advising us on the best room for us, answering any questions we had and not putting any pressure on booking

Our family (husband, myself, 2 fur children and 2 human children) had an amazing time and felt welcome like it was our own home all week Stephanie, Mitch, Drew and everyone we met were as kind as can be Breakfast was delicious and although there are plenty of restaurants nearby, we would recommend breakfast each morning at the Paw House Inn (The house special omelet was the best omelet we’ve ever had)The dog centric nature of the Paw House Inn made traveling with our furry family members a breeze Especially having the heated self-service kennels for convenience when we had to run out for dinner or somewhere we couldn’t bring the dogs withOverall, we just loved staying at the Paw House Inn You and your furry friends will not be disappointedThe Cray Family thanks you for your hospitality and kindness!

Elizabeth Yu

We were looking for a place where we could take our Springerdoodle Charlie cross country skiing with us and so found The Paw House Inn in West Rutland The Inn is totally charming Upon entering the first thing you notice are the whimsical dog themed art and decorative touches in every room

Our own room had Charlie’s name written on a plaque hanging on the door and a dog bed with a bag of specially prepared treats for him The dog themed bed linens, shower curtains, etc all added to the charm Mitch and Stacey were extremely warm and welcoming and helped us with useful information to plan our four day stay The daily breakfasts of fruit, muffins, omelets and waffles were filling and delicious We especially enjoyed the house special omelet made with apple slices, cheddar cheese, and maple syrup Charlie loved playing in the enclosed field, and coming to the breakfast room with us each morning to meet the other dogs and their owners A great plus is easy access to trails where we could take Charlie cross country skiing and snowshoeing We will definitely come here again!

No complaints! We booked this the day of staying, the bed was comfortable and the bedding smelled so good – very clean! The deluxe rooms have mini fridge, which we appreciated as well Deluxe rooms also have tubs, which we didn’t use but would be nice My husband is hiking the AT and this was perfect for us

Breakfast is bagels, muffins, donuts, coffee Not a huge selection but definitely really nice to have right down the hall If we were ever in the area again, we would stay here again

The staff was helpful and attentive and worked quickly to meet our needs They were down-to-earth and kindThe rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the location is beautiful

Sure, it’s a bit datedbut that’s to be expected for an affordable ski lodgeI’m looking for excuses to go back and will likely stay here again

Great service here, very friendly place Delicious and hardy free breakfast is served and very convenient if rushing to the mountain Nice hot tub and sauna for anyone nursing injuries it’s open until 10 and helps get in all those ski days

They are so friendly here, I love it Great prices, great atmosphere, so close to the mountain, we were upgraded to the suite for free Originally came for the best price, obviously not a 5 star hotel so don’t expect that but it’s still a cozy little place that’s great if you don’t complain a lot, keeps us coming back for the service and atmosphere, everyone I go with loves it over air BnB, the staff here is trustworthy too, my girlfriend forgot a necklace and some things by the hot tub, staff went out of their way to return it to us quickly

I sincerely hope they got rid of the “management company” that had an office onsite We went out of our way to book here for the amenities and called them specifically to confirm the amenities where available, where turns out we where lied to Booked through AirBnB via the management company

many issues with the listing including incorrect photos and stating laundry was in unit After countless emails and phone calls with them and AirBnB we just gave up an accepted the fact we lost Even an apology would have been niceExtremely disappointing experience

Room was dirty! Everything from the table, dishes, rug, and sofa! Even the trash from previous people was still there No one to get in touch with I was on hold for over 30min and had to clean the room myself

Ended up leaving a day early cause housekeeping was supposed to come and never did Only good thing was the location You can walk to Snowshed lodge at Killington or take a shuttle bus to other parts of mountain

Tim Cunningham

Great location – just across parking lot of Killington ski resort So you can just walk across parking lot to get to the resort Other condos are close too, but a longer walk

My unit had direct view of the ski slopes, and had high vaulted ceilings that make the unit feel very spacious The price will be higher for this location though of course

Over all the please was very nice and well kept, however there were some minor things in our particular room that were irritating such as toilet with inability to flush properly, The shower head was not fully functional and the remote controls were left by the previous patrons with no batteries and were not replaced These are minor things and obviously not the same in every room and that is why I can still give it 4 out of 5 stars

Upon arriving at our room, we found an icy dark parking lot After driving for over 4 hours, we then had to call the main office to figure out how we were supposed to get into our room It turns out that the office is about 3 miles away and nobody had the courtesy to let us know

Once we finally found the main office in a confusing maze of buildings the receptionist told us to call her if we were not satisfied with our roomwe were advertised and sold a deluxe suite which was supposed to contain a king size bed, a fire place, a large flat screen tv, a rainfall shower, and much more When we walked in our room it was honestly a joke The only thing updated was the kitchen, past that was just filth The carpet appeared as if it hadn’t been vacuumed and felt damp The wallpaper was peeling in spots and had water stains The bed was not a king, and next to the bed was the “heating unit” stuck in the wall with exposed copper pipes The bathroom wasn’t even fit to wash my dog in No rainfall shower, just a a yellowed tub No fireplace in sight The tv was older than me and hard to see it was so small Even the paintings on the wall were horrifying It was a dark ominous roomWhen I called the receptionist she told me to deal with Expedia to try and resolve this which in turn left us without a place to stay when we were supposed to be having a great vacation I would rather have slept in the car than pay premium pricing for motel 6 quality Eventually Expedia found us a much nicer room elsewhere for 1/3 the price Thanks

Staff was very kind and great! My family and I had to check out a day early as we were trying to make it home before a blizzard hit home! We had no issues checking out!!The little gift shop attendant/distillery attendant was so kind and nice! Wish I got her name! I love the convenience to the mountain for the snow activity and shuttle service is a PLUS! Breakfast was okay, some muffins, cinnamon swirl cake, oatmeal, coffee… etcthe balcony is a HUGE plus and would highly recommend a room with the balcony as you get a beautiful view of the mountain!I will definitely stay here again but the beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable and firm and the pillows were very flat! Other than that, clean room, clean bathroom and beautiful atmosphere!!

We checked in close to closing time (for the restaurant) and JP was SO awesome throughout the whole process He took care of check in and advised us to grab a bite before the restaurant closed and we were accommodated even though we got there minutes before closingSuper considerate, friendly, and warm staff

Views were awesome, room was clean and it was quiet The heated pool was an awesome bonus and if you’re lucky you’ll get to try one of JP’s fresh sconesThank you for a wonderful visit and the warm welcome, we’re planning our trip back already!
