I would rate this hotel 0 starts if I could After a long night, I brought my TWO year old daughter to come sleep in the room When I woke up this morning (3-20) I was getting stuff around & noticed there was multiple blood stains on the right side of the bed, close to where my daughter was sleeping

On the pillow and sheets At first, thought it was from her, checked to make sure and it wasn’t then I put two and two together and earlier when I checked in there wasn’t any shampoo, conditioner, soap or anything stocked There is absolutely NO WAY the housekeeper changed the bedding & DIDNT see the blood stains I am HIGHLY upset as not only is that just plain disgusting, but also a HUGE health hazard And something that I am even more upset about is my daughter sleeping on the side of the bed I do not recommend staying here, as I don’t believe they clean the rooms to the best of their ability The manager at the hotel, Dominic? Derek something along those lines continued to say we were lying and “three of his employees” did not see blood I am beyond disgusted with the way this situation has been handled

Asma Farooq

I was harassed by Tabitha the assistant manager She walked in my room without asking for permission and started shouting Racially discriminated me as well

Stay away from this place have no respect for people and don’t know who to treat their guests I am scared out of my wits if anyone else will walk into my room now Not safe for people alone

This hotel is located in a renovated historical building My husband and I stayed in a room for two nights The price was reasonable for the quality

The hotel has all of the typical amenities as well as unique amenities such as an onsite restaurant and self-parking that costs extra I recommend parking in the lot rather than the public garage The employees at the front desk were courteous, and upon our request, another employee brought extra towels to our room within minutes The building and our room were in excellent condition and were very clean

Don Vanderpool

Front desk was pretty rude But the shower was so slow the water wouldn’t even come out far enough to take a good shower You had to bump up to the wall

It kept changing temperature from cold to hot We found a used q-tip next to the bed It is a beautiful hotel Our room was large But for $200 a night I expect top quality and service I was disappointed overall

Terrible!! I see all these 5 stars and wonder why? First things firstprice

The rooms at this motel are meticulously clean the management obviously takes pride in keeping this place in tip top condition There were a couple of issues with sound transmission from the third floor, which was surprising, since concrete slab construction is used in the building, but I suppose that some people just walk very clumsily

The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy Unfortunately the management did not have any solution to this problem because every room was booked, but simply running the unit during the day cool down the room enough to avoid having to use it at bedtime This is a nice place and I would certainly book rooms here again

Jay YouTube

After seeing the great ratings, the wife and thought we would try this place this year Seeing the great ratings I booked a 2 nigh stay First impression was clean and orderly

After getting settled in, we informed the desk we found empty condom wrappers under the mattress and even a pair of camo colored shorts in the corner behind the stand Nothing was said or any attempt to make it right (Different room, clean up the existing room or any kind of compensation) they acted very concerned at the time that I told them and said that they would get a hold of somebody, but never heard a thing When we go back next year, we won’t stay here again

Ed Noschese

This is a nice clean place to stay in the Boardman area The staff were friendly and accommodating The rooms were clean and the property was well cared for

It’s right off the exit and near a lot of things They also offer breakfastA few things I noticed that were off:1 The staff need to let you into the pool area2 They are still blaming Covid for no daily housekeeping3 If you want more towels you have to bring your old towels down to be exchanged Seriously who is still stealing towels anymore?!4 They barricade off a large portion of the breakfast area in the evening so that people can’t congregate I’m sure it’s to stop lobby parties but it does send a message that we don’t want you to enjoy yourself in our lobby I did find that odd for a hotelBased on the quality and cleanliness it’s a great hotel, the smaller details pulled from the rating

Everything was pretty subpar here The rooms were decently clean, had a weird smell though I came for the hot tub which was unfortunately out of order

The soap machine took my quarters and I went downstairs to let them know Apparently it’s not the first time it happened but no one thought to put and out of order sign the washing machine has mold in it and when I told front desk she was uninterested I would not stay here again

LaNae’ Ferguson

Super fun! The people were very nice The only thing I’m sad about is that I had asked to have the kitchen set aside plates for the crew members and I was told they had us, but we never got the food 😭So our staff was very hungry that night

Our stay at the Sebring Mansion was an experience we Won’t forget Beautiful throughout decorated for the hollidays, each room was an adventure into the past

They have preserved and restored this mansion to it’s former glory We can’t say enough about the staff!! From day one we felt like family They were so nice, I knew them by their first names in very little time All of them would listen to us and be right on it if we had any concerns or questionsA special thanks to Robin, Pam, and the night girl in charge who was so helpful to us both Thank you all for a very memorable stay!!! Thank you, Dave and Stella Thomas

The Sebring Mansion is one of a kind It is in a rural town, but only 30 minutes from a bigger city, AkronOur stay was wonderful from the moment we walked in

The Mansion was nicely decorated for Christmas, which added to that charming feel Also, the staff was friendly and so attentive We stayed during an outside work event, so it felt like we had place to ourselves We lucked out with private dining for dinner in the pub and used the heated indoor pool by ourselves The food served for dinner (steak with potato gratin & asparagus; and coquille saint Jacques) and breakfast (egg soufflé and waffles) was top-notch We also loved the Victorian Era feel in our bedroom and bathroom Overall, if you’re looking for a romantic weekend or an experience at an upscale Inn, then the Sebring Mansion is a great choice!

Christopher Hartsel

It’s beautiful What a wonderful stay Such a beautiful mansion

Everything is well kept with such an intimate level of service Definitely a place for a lovely getaway with a loved one, family, or group of friendsWe enjoyed the meal service, the couples massage sessions, the intimate bar setting and conversation with other guests Just walking around the mansion is an experience There is so much to enjoy about your stay I wish we had more time and nicer weather

Great hotel to stop at while traveling! Hot continental breakfast, comfy beds, free coffee and water which was awesome before getting back on the roadThis place is also super pet friendly! And it’s tucked away in a great area to walk your dog with lots of grass and also quiet My beagle gives it 5/5 stars

My only complaint is that the guests next to us and had their tv on all night long which made it difficult to sleep through the night Obviously this isn’t the hotel or management’s fault We tried turning the room cooler so the AC would muffle any of their noise

Sarah Bookshar

I visited for business and have never had such a positive experience with the staff as I did here My company has been having travel issues and I was so stressed but Caroline got me right to my room and reassured me everything was okay The staff checked in with me daily to make sure everything was going well with my visit and were very friendly

The a/c in my room was a little loud and the property could use some tlc upgrades but the price can’t be beaten Breakfast was pretty good with a nice variety

Paul Semeraro

Excellent Service! Excellent Rooms!First, it was Heather setting me up with a last minute stay – including a late checkout! I really needed that for workThen, a couple of weeks later, it was Caroline booking me in for ANOTHER last minute stay I could even check in early! This time, really needed that for the wedding I was attending

It literally saved the weekendThe rooms are fantastic – and very comfortable This is my “go to” hotel for Youngstown/Boardman

We will definitely stay at this 3-star property the next time we are in town! The hotel has fresh-baked cookies available for guests as they check in The entire hotel, from the lobby to the breakfast area to the guest rooms are clean and tastefully decorated Another reviewer felt they were “dated” but I think the decor is Victorian style, which may appear “dated” to some expecting something newer, but we felt everything was meant to convey an image of luxury

The breakfast was delicious, as I’ve come to expect from the Hampton Another reviewer mentioned the sausage was “undercooked”, but the reality is the hotel likely gets their food items in fully pre-cooked, as do many commercial kitchens It’s a hotel, not a real restaurant! The sausage was delicious and fully cooked, just not browned The omelettes are always SO good I love breakfast at the Hampton! We booked a one-bedroom suite, which includes a separate living room and kitchenette area, and whirlpool tub We loved having the extra space, and the raised bar in the kitchenette was great for eating take-out! Everything was clean, and the staff had even folded some bath towels into a “shirt and necktie” and “seashell” appearance! The management team here has done a great job maintaining this property and keeping up the standards I’ve come to expect from a Hampton property Keep up the great work!

Michael Lyman

One of the better Hampton Inns that I have stayed in My wife thought it was the best hotel breakfast she’s had in a long time- mostly because they actually warm up the syrup for the waffles and banana bread wafflesThe downside of the place is that it is advertised as being close to the Ohio Turnpike (I-76), which it admittedly is, but it is not close to any exit off of the turnpike

That means that it’s about a 15 minute drive through the boonies of suburban Youngstown after you exit before you get to the hotel Still probably worth the drive, though

jesus trevino

Called the Hampton last minute from the hotel we originally booked but had to leave due to the room not having a working ac, second room the original hotel switched us to also had a broken ac so we got a refund The Hampton said they accepted dogs so we moved over The hotel is a thousand time better then the first hotel we had

Room is amazing plenty of room for our family of two adults, two kids under two with Pack and plays and a dog

I am posting a 2nd review for this hotel because I was unfairly and fraudulently charged a $250 deep cleaning fee to my company card without my consent and without contacting me The room I stayed in cost $120 per night this is ridiculous I asked for proof and I was sent a picture of a toilet bowl with a cigarette butt in it

I do not smoke but was told that even if it occurred after I checked out it was my responsibility???! It’s humiliating to be accused of something that you did not do and ludicrous to be charged an exorbitant amount of money without justification, consent or without the courtesy of contacting me first This is a case of if your accused then you’re guilty and management refuses to even give you as the customer the benefit of the doubt No explanation of the cleaning process that amounts to a $250 fee No itemization of work done or explanation of charges I will continue to write reviews on every major website and travel/booking site that I can find about this incident Other people need to be informed of the injustice of being charged fees based on doctored evidence supposedly collected by hotel cleaning staff, as we all know they are the most reliable and honest people working there I won’t say every Holiday Inn Express is guilty of this but as simple search online reveals horror stories from other customers that have had to deal with the same situation And for the record I did not commit this offense and will continue to be adamant about that

Samantha Moore

Honestly if it wasn’t for the lack of window coverage it’d of been okay I came in around 1 AM and was awoken around 5:45-6 AM by the sun in my eyes There were no actual blinds just a sheer window cover that was useless for everything

The only “blinds” were on a short railing and didnt even cover half of the windows We were on the second floor and yet somehow still on the same level with the road (it’s an odd predicament) so absolutely no privacy The breakfast was a nice variety but anything bread like was stale Overall not worth $177 but a clean place to sleep

Cindy Crick

This was literally the worst place I’ve EVER stayed at paid $219 for one night dirty, smelly, and TONS of unsupervised kids Tons of kids in the pool and no adult supervision so you had kids jumping , diving, one kid dunking other kids, throwing volleyballs at people When did the intolerable noice start? 5:15am am $219? save your money

Very nice property Unique interior is spacious, open and well decorated Rooms are very large with huge bath and separate vanity area

Large variety of soaps and cosmetic items Breakfast area is large and spacious Lots of space between tables makes for comfortable conversation Wide selection of food and drink items Breakfast staff was very friendly and perky Easy to findWe did have some confusion with our reservation and the hotel staff was a great help The initial reservation was through Best Western’s 1-800 number that wanted $100 more per night than the hotel’s price Thanks to this property’s staff for helping us out

Jason Bridges

I am from Texas and ufortunately my truck broke down and I had to stay in a motel room Got in late to this hotel and was greeted by one of the most friendly face of the day Was grateful for such a nice room and comfortable bed

This place was one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in Excellent breakfast and excellent coffee My only regret was not being able to enjoy my stay longer Definitely a unique Best Western Thanks for doing such a great job

Peter Dunn

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last 20 years but unfortunately the cleanliness and furnishings of the rooms seems to have gone down a little the breakfast was ok, typical of what you would expect at a chain hotel The room itself was ok but did not seem as clean and fresh as they used to be during previous stays, I had to remove two fingernail clippings from night table

One word of caution, if you don’t want to listen to an occasional dog bark request that you get a room away from a pet friendly room We would always give the inn five stars during previous stays but this time it just did not seem the same so that explains the 3 stars

The room was nice, clean and beds were comfortable The gentlemen who checked us in (evening) , I think his name was Dominic was very upbeat and helpful The breakfast room was clean and had some hot and cold food options, coffee was nice and hot! One of the days they had egg /spinach/ cheese omelette in a cup and it was delicious, I was there for 4 days so I personally would have liked some plain oatmeal with some toppings as an option and more fresh fruit options

My enjoyable experience at this hotel began at the front desk”Neil” must have a degree in customer service because he was engaged and helpful and friendly

he recommended a very nice restaurant within walking distance of the hotel He also honored my request for a particular type of room and was helpful each time I saw himI enjoyed staying at this Marriott hotel as it was very nice & clean and close to many restaurants & stores I would definitely stay here again and I hope “Neil” receives the recognition he deserves!

Sherry and Team provide amazing customer service and cannot be beat at this price point The breakfast, room cleanliness, and amenities were very much appreciated Even more so was how Sherry went above and beyond by mailing a small package that included my prescription sunglasses all the way to North Carolina after we returned home

If you need a comfortable night’s rest and want a friendly staff, look no further!

What a neat campground! We stayed in one of the mini camping cabins; it was spacious enough and had all the comforts of home (microwave, burners, full size fridge) Our family of 6 slept mostly in comfort The twin bunks beds were a tad bit cramped, length wise, but it was a minor inconvenience

A huge positive, is the cabins have the linens included (some KOA campgrounds/cabins require you to bring your own linens) The campground has RV sites, yurts, and tent sites The amenities are abundant as well: swimming pool, playground, camp store, paddle boat rental, golf cart rental, catch and release pond Heck, you could just walk around the campground/ride a bike for entertainment or exercise Fridays and Saturdays they have a pull behind train for young kiddos and a “pool party”, complete with music Also available is fast-food type meals They will even deliver thier pizza to your camping spot Considering there aren’t a lot of places to stay around in this area, this is a perfect spot to rest your head, even if you don’t have an RV

Matt Cashdollar

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING KOA! Barb and her team are always over the top with customer service and being hosts! I can’t say enough about the amazing atmosphere and fellow campers at Salem/Lisbon KOA! The friendliness and warm welcome from everyone is something you’ve never experienced before! We’re REALLY hoping to have a permanent site before next camping season! HIGHLH RECOMMEND this KOA!

Took my 3 girls camping for one night Definitely wasnt long enough ! We stayed in Yurt 2 So beautiful and amazing and clean and totally met all expectations

At night , when the lights are off inside, you can lay in bed and look up through the clear bubble roof and see the stars ! If you try the Yurts , bring a fan, it does get warm inside throughout the day The rest of the campground is very nice Pool is nice, park is nice Love the bike rentalNow let’s get to the owner If my mother was still around I hope she would be just like Barb she is very caring and genuine and lovely She made sure my girls were happy the whole time I cant thank her enough for such a wonderful experinceI will definitely be back and now will become a KOA member also !
