Tanya was amazing! I’d consider her a concierge by how helpful she was with locating nearby entertainment/food/drink She seriously was a huge part of how pleasant our layover became We would come back just to see her again

Other staff members, mehThe hotel itself was very convenient as well We hopped onto a random shuttle destined for the facility and fortunately a room was available The shuttle runs at 4am, which is perfect for our 6am flight Very affordable and relatively clean, but I took a star off because of the crud found on the edge of the beds floor

Kyle Witt

Great hotel right next to the airport for our family of five Room was very clean and huge! Front desk said hotel was remodeled in Feb and it really shows as everything seems brand new Staff was very friendly with reliable shuttle service to airport (both when I dropped off the rental car and the following day for our flight/departure)

Would definitely stay here again!

Js Kim

Location is convenient and the staff is very kind and niceThe room is spacious and the internet is really fast There is a Starbucks in it

:)Really enjoyed staying here and might wanna come back hereNo complaints at allOnly drawback is that they don’t provide the daily cleaning service You have to call the front desk and ask for itOtherwise everything is good

Our baseball team stayed here for a weekend tournament I love Aloft hotels for their style and comfort The room was nice and clean

Hotel gyms are my jam, this one was pretty well appointed The son and I went down to do weights The only issue was the water dispenser was empty I would have liked a weight machine that would work legs as well, but we made due The lobby was great for the team to gather The boys played pool We had pizza delivered and enjoyed the live music The staff was friendly and accommodating

Samir Patel

It’s okay hotel with convenient locationOverall room is comfy and tidy It’s a compact size with good layout

Few things to remind when getting a room here, 1) no microwave in room, 2) need to tell them about room service if staying multiple nights 3) sometimes they forget so need to remind them next day 4) parking is bit tricky some nights

Jackson Calder

Very modern hotel with a decent view (if you get the right side of the building) The room felt small at first but once you get used to it, it’s a real nice experience TVs we’re accessible with any HDMI ports (my switch came in clutch)

My biggest complaint was the live band in the lobby It was way to loud but once you leave the lobby area you don’t hear it (except if you got a room on the first floor)Worth the money, close to good restaurants, friendly staff and a cool look to the hotel Give it a try!

Overall:The hotel was just average Some of the areas looked dated The first floor smells of cigarettes

The elevators were hot and had a slight odor The elevator never gave us any issues The water did go out on our 2nd day This was one of the closest hotels to Silver Creek Golf Course There’s a shopping center across the streetCleanliness:The rooms were okay My friend found a Cheetos underneath the couch and I found a pill next to the bed I’m not sure how clean the carpets are, but they can go a wash Bathroom and beds were maintainedComfort:Couch was very uncomfortable to sit on The pullout couch was slightly better The beds were okay They weren’t hard nor were they softService:One of the rooms my friend booked had a broken AC unit Took them the next following day to fix Very unacceptable service Maids were seen one of the mornings at our stayAmenities:Breakfast was free There’s a large selection to choose from They don’t change the menu ever so whatever you see is the same thing the next day There is a small gym Sufficient enough for someone to stay in shape The water fountains do not work There’s a basketball court The swimming pool is tiny There is also a patio area for guest to loiter atIn the hotel, there was a full refrigerator, microwave, stove, dish washer, sink, silverware, and plates They provided only 2 towels per bathroom unless requested forSafety:There are homeless people walking randomly in the parking lot I would not recommend leaving anything in your car Traffic tended to be moderate with a Jack in the box next door There are keys required at all the side doors Never really saw and suspicious people in the hotel itselfParking:Parking is $12 for overnight Guest can park for free before overnight hours Supposedly there is a security guard, but I never seen one

I stayed for only one day and air conditioning didn’t work in our room ki and toilet was not flushing well Couldn’t go to the toilet till 9 am as maintenance person couldn’t come Asked for a new room and they told all rooms are booked and we could use toilets in the lobby

I was staying on second floor and i was asked to use toilet at the lobby in another building Horrible experience for one day stay

Bay Area IG LIVES

This hotel is worst than a motel 6 they have stains and rips on there comforter Rooms smell like people have been cooking in there as if they never cleaned the oven! And too make all matters worst they don’t even wash there comforters daily which is absolutely absurd from a guest point of view They should be shut down!! It’s looks like a homeless shelter in there

You go in the pubic restroom after breakfast and you will find homeless cleaning up and sleeping in there!

I recently used their meeting room for a birthday party and I have to say everything was perfect! Front desk was very nice and helpful and so was maintenance and the bar tender The lobby was extremely nice and very clean Bathrooms were very clean and easy access

I definitely recommend this hotel They made it so easy for me especially being that I’m on crutches Definitely would recommend and will be coming back for sure!

Lili Hervi

I stayed at this hotel with my bf for 1 week The hotel is new, clean and the staff is very friendly, specially MARIA at the restaurant, she’s a sweetheart and her food is amazing! She treated us like family and gave us great recommendations for getting aroundThe only downside I’d say is the first room we had on the 1st floor in front of the pool was too noisy but when they switched us to the 2nd floor was great!!I’d definitely stay again here and I recommend it!

So willing to help Happy staff and manger Michael were working hard to please us Food was excellent for our conference

Room and bed clean and comfortable AC and heat work beautifully and with a strong fan We needed both due to cool evenings and warm days The airport shuttle guy was friendly and on time Only 8 minutes from the airport!

Shobhit Gupta

Rooms were clean and well maintained and the fitness center had a decent collection of weights (dumbbell up to 50 lbs), 4 cardio machines and some mats and bosu balls Would have loved if they had barbell too but it’s good enough to just get a workout in travel There are vending machines for food and reasonable number of eating options located in walking distance

The only downside is the lack of good breakfast options at the hotel

This was my first time staying here and over all its a nice hotel Once I got in I was greeted by the friendly receptionist I got to the hotel a little early that day and was able to check in a earlier than the check in time

This really was helpful for me seeing that I got to my destination hours than what I expected During my stay I was always greeted by the staff in the from Also the cleaning staff are super helpful and really friendly I did lock myself out of my room one time and was helped by the front desk Only one thing that the door to my room would get stuck at times and would not let me in But this was not that big of a problem for me Once I checked out I told the front desk and they took care of the issue of having someone checking out that very moment I will be staying again Thank again for the great service

Corey Strock

My stay was fine I paid ahead of time so the cost was good This facility did have some issues though, and was not as nice as the Sacramento one that I regularly stay in

The location is really good, it’s near a few restaurants and it’s only a 1 mile walk to the downtown sectionMy primary issue was that my door didn’t close w/o a fair amount of force being applied, that was annoying The room itself was fine though, it was clean and well appointed

Susan Johnston

This property is in need of quite a bit of maintenance and a thorough cleaning Use the inexpensive nightly rate to set your expectation The staff is trying to provide good service, so shout out to the friendly front desk folks

Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to outweigh the challenges at the property Upon arrival I was put in a first floor room which was not in good shape There was visible grime on doors and light switches and a sticky spot on the wall next to dining table which had hair stuck on it The next morning I asked to switch and was moved to a large suite on 4th floor This was definitely nicer Issues included the room being very dark (cave-like, despite having windows), a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom and neighboring guest’s garbage sitting outside room doors awaiting collection which lingered and smelled Due to Covid restrictions there was no housekeeping nor breakfast The gym is virtually unusable; broken treadmill, broken recumbent bike, an empty stand for hand weights (were they stolen?), a pulley/weights set up with pieces missing, no mats and no towels Next time I’m in the area I will spend a bit more and definitely stay somewhere else!

Front desk people were a pain, they wanted me to leave because I didn’t have the credit card I booked the hotel with and I offered to pay the deposit in cash or apple pay and they wouldn’t accept any so I got my girlfriends credit card and they kept denying until they finally agreed to use it, they make everything difficult but the cleaning ladies were very nice and the breakfast options are horrible it’s just a granola with water for $5 and the location is not the best The room was also a bit smelly like cigar even though it was a smoke free room overall rating 1/5 for me

Mithia Mukutmoni

Very unfriendly staff Considered staying in San Jose another night…but not here! The soap was actually unwrapped! I think housekeeping must have missed it I hate to disparage them…but still!I asked for a blanket and something was handed to me, very curtly, that was a sheet-like thing

I just dealt with it Definitely not coming back here again! FYI…restaurant closed shut and never opened Hours did match what was on the door Paid parking…$35 Kind of a spartan feel, but I guess clean?Find something better…you’re worth it!

This place isn’t really worth staying at If you have a vehicle, it costs 35$ to park here, there is no security, it’s outside and subject to the transients who walk around looking in for who knows what purpose (use your imagination) The neighborhood didn’t feel safe late at night and just like typical downtown areas, driving around is very confusing, especially trying to get to this hotel

Trying to get your belongings into your room is also quite a challenge They have one way into the hotel and it is very far away from the parking area, so if you have more than a bag or two, it is a huge hassle The person at the front desk said I could use the employee only hallway to get my stuff from the parking lot, but then I was questioned by another employee and told it was for employees only, which created a bit of a sceneThere also is no online check-in as they use a different computer system than the rest of the Marriott hotels and the wifi was not the usual MarriottBonvoy SSID Is it secure? Probably not even a little bit On the plus side, you can rent scooters everywhere, although not from the hotel itselfTLDR; don’t go here unless you need to be right there downtown Everything is a hassle It is surprising that this is a Marriott property

The exterior architecture of this Hyatt Place is different from most It’s a new building Great location right next to the airport

There is a Denny’s restaurant and gas station close by The service was good but there cleaning of the room every 3 days Needs to be changed back to daily Fresh towels daily when staying in a hotel is a necessity Overall good experience, I recommend

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel the night we flew in on a late flight into San Jose Airport It was convenient to drive to this nearby hotel after picking up our rental car We were tired after our long trip, so it was nice to get to stay in a clean and comfortable hotel shortly after arriving

The hotel is very close to the airport The hotel was a reasonable price for what you get, but I definitely don’t understand why they charged for parking You just park in the parking lot outside of the hotel The breakfast was disappointing There were very few options in the breakfast buffet The room was spacious and comfortable though, so for a quick one night stay, this hotel was fine and I would stay here again if I needed to stay near the airport

Jenna Garrett

Called a day in advance to let them know I was arriving at 8am off the plane and was told 24/7 check in Arrived and was told 3pm Shabby breakfast could be better

Clean rooms comfy beds nice bathroom Although pool is very much not heated, tiny, and watched the pool boy clean the dirt, dust, cobwebs, bugs and etc by dipping the cleaning pool back and forth from the pool water to bugs and bugs to pool water Disgusting good for a very short term stay near the airport Shuttle drivers are very nice

I want to be clear that this is not a bad hotel by any means Certainly not a hotel horror story you hear about At the same time, I was slightly disappointed based on the reviews I had read, so I thought I would post

To start, I thought based on the pictures online that a “premier room with balcony”, would have a room overlooking the pool, or a hood view of the town at least based on the pictures I saw online My room overlooks the parking lot, freeway, and a strip mall across the street Not a huge thing, but somethingThe jacuzzi was down when I was there Not hot, no bubbles Again, not a game changer, but just something And when I did visit the pool, there were people present who were glaring at me and my son We didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed and so we left that area Again, not something to make a big deal of, I could have said something and didn’t But somethingI think a fair comparison in any hotel review is a Motel 6 Everyone has stayed at a Motel 6 before You know what you’re getting into with a Motel 6 – cheaper, pretty bare bones, nothing to write home about, someplace (usually safe) you can lie your head at night There are better places, equal to, and worse places to stay than a Motel 6… I feel like my experience here has been equal to a Motel 6 Which I don’t think is a slam (again, not a bad experience), but also, just a very average hotel stay when I definitely paid what I think was premier hotel pricing I had to pay for overnight parking, which I didn’t see advertised anywhere, and I was even told upon check-in that housekeeping is only coming to rooms once every three days I’m sure that is a cost-saving measure at this point, but those cost savings are not being reflected in the pricePerhaps I’m being slightly unfair in that I didn’t speak with staff before writing this I’m not sure what they could have done though short of reducing the price, which I’m not sure is a fair ask They can’t change the view off my balcony or make people not look at me And again, it’s not a BAD hotel All the staff have been great I just thought I should write something though since I do use reviews myself when picking a hotel

Otto Weirich

AMAZING STAFF, I was staying here for work and long story short there was an issue in my room and all of the staff did an amazing job taking care of me and even upgrading my room for the inconvenience I wish I knew the names of the other employees but Erin the general manager runs a great hotel with a great team I don’t think I have ever been treated so well staying at a hotel than they did here

The rooms were super clean, and looked great They have a bar and small dining area serving breakfast lunch and dinner with a wonderful bar tender I will always choose this place when staying in the area again Thanks Erin and team!

Matthew Gant

The room wasn’t fully cleaned Notes from someone’s take out order left on the dresser Garbage in the hallway sitting for hours

The hot tub wasn’t heated Refrigerator in the room didn’t work The free breakfast area was closed They just had a few items in a basket with an empty coffee container There’s an extra cost for everything $12 a day for parking with signs everywhere saying they’re not responsible if anything happens to your car So obviously things are happening to the cars

I was pleasantly shocked at the quality and attentiveness of this location It was the lowest-priced place we stayed at over 7 nights/locations, and easily the nicest (no slam on the other places we were at) Looks like a very expensive hotel with low prices, great service and quality

Check-in was easy and informative Around almost every turn, there is a perk Our room was very, very nice and well-stocked The continental breakfast was pretty comprehensive for a hotel, and the dining room was beautiful and not expected A great experience, top to bottom! Oh, and the free airport shuttle was fantastic!

Julie Underwood Schmelling

The rooms were decent and the beds were comfortable There is a balcony, but no chairs to sit in on it We stayed in this hotel twice

The first time they couldn’t find our reservation It turned out they had booked it for a month later We ended up having to take two queen beds instead of the king we had booked The second time they were overbooked and we, once again, had to take two queen beds instead of the king we booked

Mary Magpie

Booked to stay here because it wasn’t far from the convention center, where I was attending an event Stayed here for two nights, and it was fine The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ac in the room did not work well and I was fairly hot in my room all night despite having it set to 72

It never got fixed, and we didn’t get switched to a new room The free breakfast was okay They have waffle makers, yogurt, cereal, bagels and English muffins, apples and oranges, as well as coffee, juice, milk, and water

Staying here was a great experience It was very clean, properly staffed and everyone was helpful and kind during my stay My room and public areas were all very clean

Everything felt newly renovated, and it was easy to feel comfortable while I was there The fitness center was spacious, well equipped and never crowded Both the front desk and shuttle drivers were incredibly kind and helpful with anything I needed If you’re visiting San Jose or any of the surrounding cities, this hotel will exceed your expectations

Lost

We stayed for 1 night Rooms are spacious and well designed with comfortable beds Free filtered water

We had to switch rooms because the sliding door of the bathroom didn’t provide us privacy (room 512) I talked to the receptionist and he moved us to 505 and solved our issue immediately Breakfast had the essentials (omelette, juice, sausage, muffins, cinnamon rolls) We also asked for late check out and we had it at 13:00 (11:00am is the checkout normally) Perfect!

Nick Havens

The staff is friendly, especially the female workers They all take good care of your requests Nobody cleans your room unless you make specific requests because of covid

The breakfast made my day! The layout of the hotel is dumb because it’s the longest walk possible between the lobby and parking lot The water does not get hot enough for me The windows don’t open Coffee available in lobby all day and it was good Everything considered it was a very good stay

When we arrived my kids, ages 14, 9 and 6, were excited to end their 3 day vacation in the pool, but after I got in I was freezing There were no signs of closure or needing maintenance I am from Seattle so I can handle cold, but this was painful

My 9 yr old daughter tried and ended up getting out Thankfully no one got sick and we made it home today with no illnessI have been an owner with Marriott for17+ yrs (Gold Elite) and stay at Marriott’s exclusively when available at the destination I understand that it may be difficult to contact all those who are staying at your hotel (reservations list) to let them know that the pool is broken and or closed, but there was no attempt before and after we arrived to let us know We even checked in and went to our rooms not being told My understanding talking to other guests is that the pool has been broken for at least the week they had stayed, but I cannot confirm this If that is true then there would have been time to notify us and others The Marriott App has text messaging and chat available with your guest, but the property or company could not send us a message so we could cancel? Try having 3 kids getting in their swimsuits excited for pool time at the end of our trip only to take a dance with hyperthermia if you went in the pool, no joke I get it first world problems, but this is something we try to provide for our family, happy memories and family time off the electronicsWe looked at other hotels for that night and it came down to if we got a refund we would go somewhere else, but there was no manager to talk to for that decision so we stayed My kids ended up in the room watching a movie (pretty sad)If we would have known that the pool was broken we would not have skipped our day trip to Carmel by the Sea to give the kids more time in the pool This day trip was for my wife’s birthday and she was willing to give that up, so you can understand our disappointment at giving that up and not being told of the broken poolAfter reaching out to the assistance district manager they offered 8,000 points for a 35,000 point stay when we would have never stayed there in the first place due to the pool closure This is 2022 and we should have been notified Loyalty to Marriot has let us down this time Shameful (2 stars) rooms where nice and clean, breakfast was great

This Marriott location actually has two different hotel signature at this location, Residence Inn, and Springhill suites The parking and check in process can be confusing as you cannot go into the secure parking area (in the back of the hotel) without checking in first, but in order to check in, you have to double park in the front of the hotel drop off Parking will set you back about $15

00 per day The hotel is clean and almost looks brand new Lobby and common areas are very clean with staff constantly walking around cleaning and wiping the surfacesThe room itself was decent It has a small light duty kitchen with utensils The surfaces appear clean and the towels smell fresh (still had bleach smell to them)Couple of set backs is the water in the shower was a miss The water temperature and water pressure was not consistent The toilet had a weird flushing mechanism where it would flush, but the tank doesn’t fill back up until a few minutes later The walls here are a bit thin as I could hear my next door neighbor showering and his Zoom meeting The bed was a miss for me; it was way too soft and sunk in

One of the best stay experiences I’ve ever had! The rooms are of decent size with all the basic necessities anyone would need People can pick the room they prefer, from a list of available rooms! I really like that they have a clean only when asked policy to respect the guests privacy So, the cleaning staff would only come when you ask them to

I had breakfast included with the stay Good options including eggs, sausages, cereals, yogurt, waffles (with toppings) and a few other things The staff is friendly which adds to the positive experience The amenities include an in-house gym and pool table that’s accessible throughout the day

Pros- Nice large rooms with kitchenette-Good hot breakfast, that the staff keeps very sanitary- close the the highway

Cons- The worst bed I have ever slept on I’ve never experienced a lumpy mattress before this weekend and it made for a crummy nights sleep AND the bed was 4 inches lower on the right side which made you feel like you were falling off- no hot tub- starting July 1, 22′ they charge $10 a night parking- must request room cleaning serviceI don’t post reviews normally, but we liked this hotel and the amount of space you get in the room, but there was some disappointing aspects that I wish we had known before that I wanted to share

The room and the staff were very accommodating The check in process was very simple and they were able to get it done quickly The location is not the best, it is quite a ways away from the center of San Jose, but it is definitely quiet and you won’t be bothered staying this far out

I was able to do a late checkout with no issue and they were happy to accommodate the request Large rooms with a kitchenette that has an apartment sized fridge and even a stovetop if you’re staying for an extended period of time this is very convenient I was unable to try the free breakfast, but they are serving it at the moment

Perfectly located downtown, the Italian restaurant provided dishes with exceptional flavour notes accompanied by a great wine menu, and the staff are attentive The front desk staff members Denise and Manny are truly a credit to the hospitality industry They embody Marriott’s core values of exceptional customer service provided with integrity and outstanding care

The historic building belies the modern rooms With a great restaurant and ballroom for formal events, the Westin San Jose seemingly has it all But wait! The attentive and diligent staff round out the experience to be a complete delight

We required a suite for a family of 4, and the normal rooms are a bit on the small side Still, for events in downtown San Jose, this hotel has most everything you could need

The building is beautiful, however the rooms are very small This type of room is more expected in New York or Paris size wise yet we are in San Jose There are virtually no reminisces of a regular Westin hotel in regard to what they provide

There is a restaurant on site, however no room service You have bottles of shampoo attached to the wall in the shower yet no lotion anywhere…just small things like this that stand out The A/C system is extremely loud too, cleaning of room, which we had to ask for, is hit and miss too, one day is bare minimum and next day its great I am aware of staffing issue these days, however if you provide the service, it should be consistent We decided to have some wine one evening in our room and even tho numerous people were still sitting in the restaurant we were not able to purchase the bottle to take up to our room They were ‘closed’ We were directed to go purchase from the restaurant down the street I gave it an extra star than I normally would because the front desk staff was very friendly and nice
