We stayed the weekend here for my son’s birthday during Easter weekend The kids had a blast The room itself was comfortable and clean

The check in process was easy and didn’t take as long at all It was great that we were able to enter the water park and enjoy ourselves until the room was ready We ordered the birthday package add-on which was a nice touch as it made our son smile when he entered the room We would definitely return for a quick weekend getaway

I cannot say enough good things about this place! We definitely got our money’s worth! It is entirely kid-centered with so many FREE events happening while you’re there! Another fun side to it was we didn’t check in until 4 pm, but we could access the water park at 1 pm And when we checked out at 11 am, we were allowed to stay all day!My kids laughed and smiled and wore themselves outMy only complaint (if it’s even really a complaint) is that their arcade is a money pit

Yeah, usually arcades are, but in order to have a semi-decent time at the arcade, you will shell out a lot of money $25 got us 92 wolf paws and just about every machine was 8-10 paws And all but one claw machine did not have a claw that was sturdy enough to even attempt to grab whatever it wasBut past that I will 100% be going back!!! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Ashley Marie

Stayed 4 nights…overall a good experience Came across an issue with our room and the manager Matt handled it very professionally and compensated us accordingly Also received a follow up call from Molly who made sure all was good and If we had any questions

Kids loved the room, was clean Only issue was microwave didn’t work properly Water park was fun and the food we ordered from the inside restaurants was good Next time we might try the traverse city location and see how that compares Thanks so much!

First off let’s start with the beautiful location of this place Lake Eerie is right across the street, I sat on the ledge in the morning and evenings and relaxed so many times during our 3 day stay They also have a firepit and grill on the side of the building for your use, and a good sized yard for your dogs to roam a bit

Next would be the rooms, they are cute, quaint, very clean rooms They have everything you would need in them for a comfortable stay This motel is also close to many great things to enjoy the beauties of Lake eerie Now the best partthe hospitality! The owner is the sweetest and most personable woman you will ever meet Right from pulling in randomly she greeted us with a smile Her granddaughter who stays here with her and helps out is just as sweet Even if this place wasn’t as lovely as it is, I would still want to come back just due to these two Thank you so much for making our little vacation a great one!

I booked a standard lakeside room for 2 nights for almost $800!!! When I arrived at registration, a smoky trailer was already waiting for me When I asked why they gave me a trailer and not the room I had booked, the woman at the front desk replied, “If you don’t like it, leave or I’ll call the police” She was very aggressive

By no means would I recommend this hotel Just bypass it This is the worst customer service I booked through booking and there is no information that they will give you a trailer and not a room!!!

Bridgette Turner

My family has been coming up to Marblehead since I was a small child and it’s also become a favorite destination for my daughter I love staying at the Lake Point Motel It’s evolved over the decades but the hospitality is always great and the location is perfect

I love being able to go take my coffee outside and watch the sunrise over the lighthouse It’s so tranquil If you’re coming to the Marblehead area, this is where you want to stay Actually, don’t I don’t want it to be booked up when I come back

We stayed at this hotel because of the star rating I wish I would have read the reviews instead Our room wasn’t very clean and the toilet seat was loose

There was no bar of soap, only pump containers that were less than half full for a family of 4 One of the queen beds was broken and wobbly Only 1 small trash can in the bathroom, none in the room itself We couldn’t find any ice machines on any floor Pool was tiny and looked cloudy The only plus is that it is close to Cedar Point The breakfast was good except there was no orange juice

Katherine Ott

Originally booked our stay at another hotel that ended up being filthy! After lots of stress and some tears, I found this hotel had an available room last minute, and I’m so thankful it did! Ended up being much closer to cedar point than our original booking, and the hotel itself was much, much nicer After explaining our headache to the manager, I believe named Todd, he kindly gave us a room with a bay view! Amazing customer service from him, and from his staff that we interacted with Anything we needed was quickly provided upon request, no issues with our room whatsoever

Large breakfast with plenty of options Next door is an awesome and unique restaurant and game lounge as well

George Terplan

My stay here was good overall I am not sure why, but I never had any room service all week other than the one day I requested to have it done The breakfast service was standard for any HI Exp, but they don’t have any orange juice here

My room was great overall and I slept comfortably in the bed and lastly the front desk staff was very friendly and time I needed something

Decent hotel but when you pay over $300 a night, they tell you don’t have room service, and you have to call for towels We called for towels and waited 2 hours Nobody showed up

When we called the front receptionist and told him politely that we were disgruntled about not having towels he hung the phone up on us This is no way to resolve a problem with a paying guest that has done nothing wrong! There is no advantage of staying at a Cedar Point Hotel I recommend using an independent vendor You will get better service

SDB Jones

We have stayed at this hotel in the past for HalloWeekends This time, we stayed for a softball tournament hosted as Sports Force Park and the nightly rate was significantly more than in the past We tried to check into our room at 5:00 and were told our room was not ready

I inquired about 4pm check in and was told that check in starts at 4, but is not guaranteed I was told I would receive a text when the room was ready, but never did We ended up going to the park until closing so room was ready when we returned at 11pm This is a very minimalistic hotel, no coffee in the lobby, no breakfast, no housekeeping during your stay If anything is needed, was told to see the front desk staff The room was clean, which is very important, but the beds were hard and the pillows were awful Very firm pillows one was not quite enough and two was too much Ended up not sleeping well and waking with neck aches both days we were there Would likely not stay here again unless required to due to another softball tournament Location is great Centrally located between the amusement park and the athletic complex

Nick

Wow, thought this would be a reliable place to stay as it’s connected with Cedar Point but noThey were wrong about our reservations and were super rude about itCan’t hold bags while you’re at the park

Everyone is hurting for good workers, but this place must pay nothing judging by the helpfulness of the staff and manager Makes me not want to come to visit the park Would definitely think long and hard about visiting cedar point and would not under any circumstances recommend staying here

Absolutely phenomenal service, from the gentleman at the front desk, the ladies that clean the rooms and the ladies that provided breakfast, all these wonderful people cared to make our experience the absolute best it could be The rooms were very clean, the food at breakfast was delicious I highly recommend and will definitely stay again without question

Meg Jo

The hotel is outdated There is a barely working elevator The complimentary breakfast was actually better than most! And the beds were comfortable

The lighting in the hotel was very dim and grim feeling though There is an indoor pool Just not worth the amount they charge a night with so many nice updated hotels charging the same all around

emily baron

Art, the property manager was extremely welcoming when we arrived We booked our room that morning after checking out of another hotel There weren’t any rooms available yet and he offered to text us when a room was ready

The housekeeping staff went above and beyond to help us during our stay and the mor ing breakfast crew was so pleasant and on top of their job, especially with all of the hungry baseball players We will now only stay at Hampton inn when we travel

We were in the area for a volleyball tournament and this was the hotel the team stayed in Our room was a nice size and was clean The only issue we had was that there was a stale smoke smell by the fridge

From what our daughter and her teammates said the pool was ok and wasn’t too small If she plays in this tournament next year we will be recommending this hotel as our place to stay

Travis Zuleger

Had a really unfortunate experience last night A very loud party of 5 was drinking on the back patio from 10:30 until 1:30 We called the front desk multiple times, walked down to the desk, and even directly asked the party to quiet down

Management asked them to quiet down when quiet hours kicked in at 11:00 but it wasn’t effective At 11:30 we were told that the cops were called after an aggressive confrontation at the front desk but we continued to hear the yelling and laughing until 1:30 I appreciate the attempt to help from the ladies at the front desk but this situation could have been handled so much better

Drew Price

Overall this place was exactly what I would expect from a Holiday Inn Express Staff was very kind Hotel was well kept up

There was at least a fitness center (wish it went higher than 50lbs)The only complaint I could think of is the elevator is super slow and in the room I stayed in it the bathroom door was open the mini fridge was blocked by the door That nitpicking though

This hotel was a welcome change from the previous hotels we stayed in on our Ohio exploration trip The staff was super friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and comfortable, very clean (not perfect, but it’s not brand new or a 4 star+ hotel, I didn’t expect perfection) and location was JUST what we needed The end of the main street in a quaint coastal town with very lovely nearby walking paths, especially out to the lighthouse with the bird sanctuary and fish jumping out of the water in the river

We took an evening stroll with our baby and it was super relaxing! Actually wished we had stayed near the hotel and walked around rather than pay for the Kelley’s Island Ferry where we saw nothing really of note Biggest downside was noise from other guests; since it’s so close to Cedar Point there were a lot of teenagers slamming doors and running from room to room late in the evening Breakfast was also tired standard hotel powdered eggs, sausage, yogurts, toast, cereal, and waffle mix was too thick and tasted like a biscuit mix or something no sweetness but too salty Overall, we hope to go back and stay longer! Please don’t increase the price before we can return 🙏!

Was visiting the Huron Pier and decided to walk in to inquire about a room 10 minutes later, we’re in the room Thanks to the kind staff! Jackie in particular who was cordial and helpful getting us checked in

There was a kids baseball tournament that weekend and the hotel was crawling with kids A little chaotic, but the kids were fun and well behaved! We fished in the river just outside our room It got quiet at 10p like it is supposed to In the morning, the breakfast was perfect! THANK YOU

Traci Sasha

Great location right other water pier is right there to fish off of can walk out to see lighthouse

Benches so can watch the sunset Rooms are clean smoke free got a noise complaint when we were sleeping but other then that was nice Beds are doubles so not comfiest but hey have roll away beds for an extra 24 bucks a night

Grounds were well kept, facilities were clean, if there were any issues they were resolved immediately WE WILL BE BACK! We were very VERY impressed The local people were also very friendly

I have a large group looking for lodging for an event two years away I thought this place might work well for our group When I looked, the queen hotel rooms were listed at $129-$169 per night (there is confusing pricing on their website, it says that room starts at $129 on one page and the next it says it starts at $149)

The website also says that you need to call to book the cottages I called this “resort” and spoke to Fred, who I believe is the owner’s father I asked if they would be willing to open the cottages earlier than typical for this event, if we could book them all Fred explained that due to April’s questionable weather in NE Ohio, they could not open the cottages earlier than May However, he noted that the hotel would be open and would work for our group I talked to the group and we agreed that this hotel would work The very next day we went to book the rooms and the same room was $401/night!! This feels so dirty and slimy These rooms are still listed at the $149 price the weekends before and after!! This exorbitant price increase was never mentioned when I talked to Fred the day before! This is NE OHIO, in April, at a 3-star hotel with iffy reviews! Needless to say, we are not staying here where the owners are shysters I should have heeded the warnings of the many other 1-star reviews BEWARE

We ended up at this hotel because we found bed bugs at our original hotel at 11pm and this was the only one with good reviews that still had rooms left Nathan at the front desk was wonderful He was very kind and empathetic, as well as energetic for it being after midnight

The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean Since it was so late we didn’t get to use most amenities like the pool so I can’t speak on that The breakfast was good, but very crowded Staff had trouble keeping up with refilling the stations due to so many people The price was high, but it was worth it to have a clean, comfortable place to stay with no bed bugs We would stay here again

Debbie Derrenberger

Unfortunately we didnt make it through our first night because of a family emergency, but the check in/check out was easy and Alyssa & Michelle were awesome! If your are looking for a retro slice of heaven, Here it is! We were greeted by the lovely owner, Steve and he shared some history of the place We shared in laughs and great conversation through out our stay Steve makes sure his guest feel right at home & surely we did! Not only does he go above and beyond making sure your room is to your liking, he also has fresh donuts, locally grown fruit and hot coffee every morning for his guest! After a 3 night stay it felt like we were leaving family as we said goodbye to Steve and his furry family ❤️ We will definitely be back!

Reasonably priced rooms, super friendly and helpful staff (and I interacted with multiple people), and the cleanest room I’ve had since COVID started It’s weird how during a time when everything is supposed to be cleaned more, hotel rooms in general have been really hit and miss Not here! I was very comfortable for my overnight stay

Also, it’s brilliant to text someone as they are getting into their room to see if they need anything I didn’t need anything but I really appreciated that

The staff were so accommodating to him and his needs Kept an extra eye on him and made him feel comfortable The pool/work out room leave a little to be desired but my kids liked it Breakfast was only okay but honestly it was food and it was hot Everything was very clean As someone who used to be a house keeper in a hotel I know the things I’m looking to be clean and it was great Only things I really have to “complain” about isn’t really a them thing but a ME thing The beds were a bit small for me I’m used to a bigger bed but that by no means is there fault Over all when we return to the area we will most likely be staying again Thank you

When we walked in room 309, we were concerned that the beds would be uncomfortable because they were both sloped downward toward the headboard Fortunately, the beds didn’t cause an issue too much Our room wasn’t clean

This included the toilet, floor, and bed Because the hotel was full, we couldn’t switch rooms, which is understandable I did request for our room to be clean, but that never happened The lights in the bathroom kept cutting on and off I was happy to leave

I always have the best stays at Best Western hotels, and this didn’t disappoint Off season rates were excellent Yeah, it’s still a little pricey if you’re just looking for shelter

But so clean and comfortable, with an enormous comfortable bed, super clean bathroom with amenities such as a safe, coffee maker, fridge and breakfast I dinged it for the tiny pillows and scratchy towels, which seemed more in place at a Travelodge, but otherwise, it really was a 5 star stay

The rooms were very clean, not far from the highway or attractions Breakfast was efficient, neat, hot, fresh, and the staff was incredible We were greeted, our trash was taken while we finished

China did a great job keeping fresh food out and Terry did wonderful with accommodating our group as we were waking up for the day Love to see smiling faces when we’re staying away from home!

Absolutely great place to stay! Each staff member was a pleasure to interact with and the facility was fresh & clean! Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay better view from the room maybe lol (even tho I was still okay with the roof view, since that meant we were over top of the pool area, which gave our room extra warmth during the cold days & even colder nights)

Rooms were clean Front desk lady was very nice although clearly overworked This place would be nicer if it had better mgmt

The pool was closed and the only way to get to the gym, which was one of the reasons I booked here, is through the pool room but the only worker had no key No change for the washer and dryer If you offer things as “amenities” they should be available This place is WAY over overpriced

The hotel is outdated but very clean The bed is comfortable and I got fresh linen every day The hotel was 4-10 minutes from all activities we did and plenty of food options in the area

Breakfast provided at the hotel is not great, very basic They give you pancakes, bread and fruit loops We didn’t bother eating there but if you’re hungry it’s decentI recommend staying here I had minimum contact with staff but the front desk employees were very nice and always offered water!
