I stayed there in august of 2022 I would give them 0 stars if I couldI called and asked if an early check in was available, the front desk was very nice and accommodated that

When I got into the room there was a stain on the comforter, the room had an odor to it, there was previous guests belongings left in the room, there was a large amount of hair between the box spring and mattress and there was a makeup brush and necklace between the other box spring and mattressI did not notice these things until later in the evening because I initially had just put bags in and went out for the dayI spoke to the front desk manager He offeredme a new comforter and for housekeeping to re clean the next dayI asked for a discount which he offered 15% and proceeded to explain that the cleanliness of the room was my fault because I asked for an early check in which rushed housekeepingThis obviously made me angry He continued to argue with me so I walked away He ran down the hallway after me SCREAMING at me to get outI was appalled I did not end up leaving I just kept walking and once I got to my room I did not hear from him againI have never had ANYONE scream at me like that ever I was mortified Especially from managementI used to work for a best western Best western should be ashamed and embarrassed to associate themselves with this location Absolutely embarrassed

Pay the extra money and go to the hotel right down the street We stayed there last night and I used to work at a hotel so I know what to look for These rooms are disgusting! Our room smelled of cigarette smoke even though the hotel is no smoking

They tried covering it up with febreeze which obviously didn’t work We lifted the mattress to look for bed bugs and under it was DISGUSTING!! Full of hair and food crumbs and God knows what else The lamps needed a serious wash down Mattress was stained with God knows what else Please please just go somewhere else!!!

First time my group and family came out to Abbot trailside lodging Our group was able to get the cabins We had a hotel room

The hotel room was very clean and roomy! We did have a little key entry problem, but easily resolved by calling Matt on the service phone right next to the room Easy and prompt! Our friends cabins were again, extremely clean and homey Karen was the housekeeper/do all She was also very attentive, personable and we had fresh towels everyday The atv trails were right next to us, no issues there Also they provide the maps for riders There is firewood to purchase along with firepits and Adirondack chairs on each porch We enjoyed our stay so much we booked with them again for next year without hesitation Thanks again for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable!

I stayed Friday until Sunday afternoon In cabin 6 This place is Beautiful!! My children 16 and 6 loved it There were all the amenities, dishes to cook meals, dish soap, paper towels you don’t have to bring anything besides your family and food

It was very quiet which was AMAZING and peaceful The cabin was spotless and very homey There was a fire pit for s’mores and which we loved as well They sell bundles of wood for $5 on the property which is convenient Check out was 10:30am on Sunday I called and paid an extra $20 to stay till noon so I could feed and pack up my children and the owner/manager had no problem or question what so ever and was okay with it I cleaned the cabin as it was when I arrived to save the house keeper work, This is an amazing place, it is a little drive from anywhere but it’s Maine and that’s to be expected and being secluded was great I will definitely be returning ASAP! Thanks for being so accommodating to me and my family! A+++ Rating!

Would NOT recommend staying here!! Rooms are small, bathtub gross They never told us the pool was closed which was the only reason we booked this hotel We left the hotel right after check in to go somewhere else (that was nicer and MUCH better!)

They refused to cancel or give me a refund Worst customer service ever!! I asked if I could go through Expedia to get a refund and they said if Expedia called they would tell them not to give me a refund They also ran my card for $114 and when I looked at my bank acct it said it was run for $164 When I called they said they charge an ‘Incidental’ Fee of $50 that eventually falls off – and they never mentioned that either!! I’ve been trying to contact the manager who is avoiding my phone calls This place was just a travesty and scam all around For $20 more we went to the Juniper Hill Hotel in Ogunquit which I 100% recommend – spacious, clean, nice rooms, friendly staff, and a working pool!

Pleasant enough staff Relatively good breakfast 6 night stay

No, zero, room cleaning, house keeping service due to Covid19 shortages Now I would understand this no house keeping shortage if they discounted the room additionally or were sincerely contrite about it, but I don’t think a hotel should be able to charge full price and offer no cleaning service

Paul Ing

Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in years I work in the hospitality business and hold customer service to very high standards The front desk staff named Sarah was exceptional

While eating breakfast I witnessed her greeting nearly every passing guest and some of them by name She freely gave out travel tips with enthusiasm and an insider’s knowledge She set the standard

Scott Kowalczuk

From the moment my family and I arrived, we knew this was going to be an enjoyable stay The staff are friendly, professional, and take pride in their work This is immediately apparent by the way the staff interact with their guests, as well as the excellent condition of the facility and amenities

I’ve travelled extensively in my 20 years of service to our country, and I can say without hesitation this was the best stay I’ve ever had Thank you Sarah, Collin, Hunter, Jaimie, Sheri, Linda, and the rest of the staff for making this possible

Stayed at this Quality Inn while traveling for work

With my work, I basically live in hotels, and this hotel by far exceeds my experiences at other hotels The hotel location is great, right off of the river front area, close to some stores Everything is tidy, and clean (it smells nice even if the air is off!), I have NEVER seen a friendlier hotel staff (I sat in the lobby working for a while one morning & saw the staff in full action) The breakfast was great The rooms are updated and very comfortable Overall, excellent experience and stay! I will absolutely stay here every time I am in this area!

Ryanna Pratt

Warm welcome, very clean, quiet! Cleanest hotel pool ever! Close to amenities Well stocked snack bar in the lobby Breakfast was great and the breakfast attendants were fast with fresh food and cleaning

Shower was powerful and hot with a new water filter Big TVs in the room with a covered remote Sheets were clean Sandy at the front desk makes you feel like you are staying at a private fancy B&B She remembered our names and that we were there for a birthday trip A/C in the room blew cold even during a 90* hot spell

George Peacock

A great place to stay along the way Check-in was great Thomas was at the desk and very personable

When others from my party arrived, he took the time to acknowledge them and said he would be right with them When he realized they were with me, he asked if I would like another key About 10 minutes after we were settled, he called the room to make sure everything was satisfactory

I stayed here for a few nights The hotel has a great location! It is close to I-95 for easy traveling North & South in Maine I was able to travel to Augusta & Bangor Maine really easily thought my stay

The hotel was very clean and up to date There was only a couple downsides; one was the mattress was not too comfortable & the bedding was heavy & hot Also, the bathroom did not have a regular door, it had a sliding barn style door Note that this door does not lock It would be nice if they could install a hook and latch on the inside to help with that They had a nice breakfast selection; cereals, bagels, toast, egg, juices, & my favorite create your own waffle station Most importantly the staff was very friendly & helpful They gave me great recommendations for restaurants in the local area Highly recommend the Silver Street Tavern & the Lions Den

Quyen Mark

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in The rooms are bright and welcoming Front desk are friendly and able to get you checked in and make the necessary room changes

The bathrooms had plenty of towels This is one of the first hotels I did not need to walk down and pickup more towels Rooms were the cleanest I have ever seen and I travel and stay in different hotels in multiple areas in the world Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel

This was our favorite place to stay but after numerous bad stays we no longer go there The hotel allows drunken guests to party in the hallways and doesn’t do anything to get unruly guests to be quiet Recently we contacted the hotel to see if anything has changed on unruly drunken guests and I was told they didn’t want to make them leave even though they wake up all paying guests

The check-in process was quick and painless Patrick certainly was the consummate professional during this process and answered all my questions quickly The property seems relatively new and well maintained

Pro Tip: Ask for an even numbered room for an awesome viewThe rooms were clean and in good order Breakfast is also very good every morning There is also a casino across the streetOverall, great place to stay By far the absolute best Hampton Inn I have stayed at in the entire country

Tom Richards

I think the location is great right across from the casino View is wonderful of the mountains All in all I would have rated 4 stars but one big concern I had on my experience

Our room 409 smelled of dog I am very sensitive to smells and unfortunately it was hard to ignore I understand allowing pets and even pet deposits I don’t feel like the correct measures were taken to overcome the smells which mean extra lengths were not taken to clean appropriately after There is a nice breakfast in the morning They have a few computers for business necessities They also have a little pantry with snacks drinks and a microwave

Jason McDonnell

Room was clean with a LG window to see the beautiful Maine views a LG flat screen tv and easy access to all the electrical outlets to plug in things such as phone chargers Big clean shower, with great water pressure and plenty hot water Everything felt clean and fresh

Customer service was TOP NOTCH, the three receptionist we delt with during our stay were friendly, helpful and speedy Free Breakfast with a great verity of options Clean pool/fitness areas Traffic light out front made it easy to turn on and off of Rt26 and easy to walk to the casino directly across the street Priced perfectly not over or under priced and plenty of parking

Meaghan Finneron

My fiancé & I stayed here last minute for one night, and were very happy with our decision! We were arriving late but the front desk left everything for us so we could get into our room Room had 1 queen bed, and was very spacious Also had a mini fridge

The room & bathroom could use some updating but was what we expected for the price The location is wonderful, right on the water! There’s also a nice outdoor pool, although we didn’t use that We had breakfast at the restaurant Was okay, if we stayed another night we prob would have looked to eat elsewhere We’d stay here again, especially for the price

Jamie Flude

Wonderful location Sun sets viewed from the restaurant from all tables Rooms clean and functional

Only 4 star as they have small bathrooms The rooms are better than we expected from other reviewsRestaurant had a good selection of seafood, polite, attentive staff and wonderful live background music

Bob Bass

We had a great stay in a unit that was small, but quiet and well furnished The breakfasts are great and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner by the windows looking out at the sunset Staff very friendly

One thing that is not working well is that the TV is Roku–many channels, but not able to see local channels or major networks Very disappointing not to be able to watch our favorite baseball team But we’ll be back next year!

Very clean room Kitchenette was great and had most everything Bed was very comfortable

The owner makes sure the guests are well taken care of Nice outside sitting area, playground, gas grill, heated pool and basketball hoop The shower had a ton of pressure, and being 6ft 3in, I didn’t have to duck which was awesome! The price is reasonable and you are 12 minutes from Acadia National Park, a grocery store within a baseball’s throw, and Lobster Pound’s also super close This Motel is great and exceeded expectations Great location and close to almost everything I would and definitely will stay there again

Gretchen Jordan

We needed a dog friendly hotel at the last minute in August so I booked the first place I found that had availability, keeping my expectations real low This place was AWESOME! The room was clean and updated, beds were very comfy, good water pressure, nice well cared for grounds, the pool was actually bigger than we thought based on the photos (that never happens!) and warm! The pet fee is minimal, and they allow you to crate your dog in the room, which is rare and helpful The grocery store is a stone’s throw away so when we didn’t feel like going out we grabbed microwave dinners or deli sandwiches

The room price is very affordable, especially for a large family room Thanks for a great stay! Our new favorite place near Bar Harbor!

Luca Canizzo

We had a great stay at the Acadia Sunrise Motel Really unforgettable! The kitchenette is so great, wifi was really good (better than home in Boston!), and the grounds were great to walk in the morning or evening Staff are very nice, and the location is 10/10

Our lab mix was right at home We are looking forward to coming back again soon!

This property is conveniently located around restaurants and Ogunquit-Footbridge Beach The staff took a long time to check us in and tell us where our room was We stayed two nights and we noticed the room had a strange smell to it kinda humid

The first night we could hear some laughter from another room nearby The bed was comfortable at least Upon showering we noticed that there was black mold underneath the wallpaper that you could only see if you were inside the tub and looked up underneath it because it was taken off or coming off from the wall already The air conditioner was also very loud and kept waking me up at night The loud sound made it hard to stay asleep The price was fair for the two nights but I would have preferred to stay somewhere much better If you are on a tight budget and really want to go to Maine to stay for one night this place is okay I wouldn’t really want to stay again but it is not the worse hotel I have stayed at There was also a red spider that was in the room that I had to get rid of near the shower door Not sure if those are common

A surprisingly nice motel, basic room no frills, but the A/C worked, the water pressure and hot water in the shower were great; especially after a day at the beach The continental breakfast was lacking and the coffee was not good The pool was beautiful and clean and heated

Sadly, the hot tub is closed; staff said they didn’t have enough staff to maintain it1/2 mile from the Footbridge beach 🏖️ so we walked it daily Restaurants near by I would definitely return
