Arrived shortly after the 3 pm and our room wasn’t ready yet Staff member checking us in was pleasant Waited about 20 minutes before the room was ready but the person offered her apologies and offered snacks during the wait

The rooms were clean and modern Nice size kitchenette for the size of the room Refrigerator and freezer were a good size, cabinets and drawers were stocked with the standard amenities Nice size pool Tile around the pool is slippery as would be expected but a better tile material could have been used to help prevent the multiple slips I saw occur The hot tub was foamy, it could have used an additive to eliminate that, it just gives off an off putting look Overall, we had a nice stay, kids enjoyed the pool The maintenance and housekeeping staff we interacted with were also very friendly We’d stay here again

Pamela LeBlond

This was a very nice hotel to stay at The location was perfect for our trip, close enough to everything we wanted to do The hotel itself was very clean & well kept

Our room was a very good size and was nice and clean The fitness center and pool were both great to use and all the staff were very friendly The complimentary breakfast was delicious each morning & the staff there kept all the food fully stocked at all times and kept the dining area very clean Overall we had a great experience with this hotel and would absolutely return for future visits

JDF

Very nice hotel, with mostly positives, but a few negatives We will be coming backPOSITIVESThe condominium was very nice, including full kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub, which I consider a plus, and comfortable and functional living room

The hotel is at a great location to enjoy the race track, golf, or SPAC events We saw a great Chicago concert, and was able to walk back and forthNEGATIVESBe prepared if you want to come early on a weekend with the answer of NOThe pillows provided were very soft, and kind of hard to sleep on

We stayed in this hotel one night and our room was on the second floor, looking at the entrance Overall our stay was totally disappointing Almost everything in the room needs renovation

I am 6 feet and the shower head was around my shoulder and I have to kneel down to wash my head There was a wedding ceremony in the evening we stay here and at around 2am, a group started to shout and laugh at the entrance, just in front of our window and all the noise was inside our room They stopped after our second complaint to the front desk but unfortunately, we could not turn back to sleep after that And at 7am, we wake up again with a blower sound! They cleaned the entrance with a blower early morning Terrible sound isolation, but most important looks like management is far away to ensure basic standards of a hotel Pricing for this hotel is like it is in the high segment but actually, the overall quality is motel class It does not deserve what you paid for

Building is historically beautiful But Worst management

Front line employees are friendly but I think managed by fear AC is too loud to turn on at night Our king bed felt geriatric We were sliding around in the lumpy plastic lining underneath layers and layers of padding Food is not good $320 per night (including amenities fee) but managed like a roadside inn Prices should reflect that bench mark State park is beautiful however

Jennifer ofHolliston

The Gideon Putnam is an old-fashioned hotel, but newly renovated, with appropriate amenities I slept well in a clean, firm, king-sized bed, and ate well in the attached restaurant It is inside the lovely Saratoga Park and a convenient shuttle takes you to downtown Saratoga

I highly recommend you try the Roosevelt Baths – a unique experience!

We had an amazing stay at Saratoga Farmstead!!! Such a beautiful and peaceful retreat so close to downtown The house was clean and very unique Our room (Saratoga Room) was spacious and the king bed was comfortable

Breakfast in the mornings was absolutely delicious! Staff was kind and attentive We loved hanging out in the parlor during the evenings and using the record player We even made friends with some of the other guests! It was also a treat to have an amazing massage there, just steps away from our room Can’t recommend it enough, will definitely be staying here next time we visit Saratoga Springs!

Elsa Worth

It’s quiet, peaceful, nicely dark at night yet very close to town and all attractions Our room was comfortable, clean and inviting The grounds are beautiful with paths created to take nice walks

Very friendly owners who offer warm hospitality Breakfast is a highlight – organic, bountiful and artistically presented Special diets were no problem And you can get a massage, too Great spot!

What a quaint property right outside bustling Saratoga Springs! You’d never know you are minutes away from Broadway, and for the best if you are seeking some rest & relaxation! The property itself is stunning, the rooms cozy and clean each with their own special theme I loved staying in the Boho room! Breakfast was phenomenal & healthy! Not your regular standard menu The food is made with love and it shows! Allison the owner, is so knowledgeable with the area of Saratoga so she gave some awesome dinner recommendations for us

We actually loved the property so much we ended our night short in town and came back to sit by the outdoor fire! I have found my go to place to stay in Saratoga for the future! Highly recommend!

The property could use some remodeling but it is in a great location, very close to downtown and most importantly the room and bathroom were clean If you value customer service ahead of fancy, then this is your place I can not say enough how wonderful the staff at this property were to me and my sister during our visit this weekend! The women at the front desk were AMAZING, as well as the bartender, they were all welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating

The hot breakfast was also deliciouseven better than the popular diner spots downtown Customer service here is top notchright up there with a 5 star hotelkeep up the fantastic work, I intend to return very soon!

Valerie

The staff was really friendly; stayed during the week so a hot breakfast was only available on Wednesday and it was okay, but not free The coffee was cold the first morning Didn’t know til we got there that the pool was closed, and the building definitely needs a makeover, hence the construction that seems to be going on for a while judging from the reviews I read

The AC worked well and was quiet The firepit is a plus!

Barry Grossman

Very convenient location – close to town and SPAC / parkStaff was able to change room when we checked in ✅️Breakfast looked meh, walked into town for such

coffee was greatRooms were nice and clean Liked bed light, would be nice to have it on both sides of bed

This is my final review to update When we followed up on our previous complaint about how out bathroom door was broken, couldn’t shower without the fire alarm going off & never received any apologies Instead I’m blamed for being upset when I had to leave my hotel room naked in a towel with my dog and baby

Management handled this poorly and made me feel so unwelcomed all because I was a stressed with a baby and didn’t appreciate workers assuming there was smoking going on Please fix your doors and fire alarms ALSO if you claim to be pet friendly you really shouldn’t be telling your guests your animal can’t bark…why are you even pet friendly then? If you come to this hotel expect a decent breakfast and a nice night crew staff Besides that they’re all fake and make their guests feel like it’s their fault instead of simply being nice and sorry I wouldn’t bring your animal and prepared to take a cold shower or have your doors broken I don’t need the owner to reply to this review because she already wrote a report about me Beauty of freedom of speech

Tamara Mitchell

Went there for a birthday getaway They gave me a dirty room, I went to the front desk and asked if I can have a different room They said it was booked up

Now I checked in at 10 pm, I didn’t check in early so I was really confused as to why there were coffee/tea stains all over the kitchen counter, the microwave had dirty hand prints and there was product residue all over the mirror and sink in the bathroom It was evident that the room wasn’t cleaned at all They offered someone to clean the bathroom How they worded it was that this day was the cleaning lady’s day off but she can clean it for me, as if a favor was being done I didn’t get this room for free, I paid for it and someone didn’t know how to do their job which isn’t my fault Driving 35 hrs after work to a place like that was frustrating as hell because I ended up cleaning the room myself And this is why I bring my own sheets and Lysol, places like this is unhygienic Such a disappointment because I’ve been to Hilton hotels in America and international and this has to be my worst experience

We stay at Hampton Inns a lot, but this is by far the best of the year Incredibly clean, to start, from the showers to the phones to the backs of the television sets! Extra towels and blankets already in the room Very friendly, helpful staff

We were there eight nights, and our entire party agreed that this hotel was one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long timeEven the breakfast was markedly better than the usual Hampton Inn morning choices And, again, staff were very accommodating when one of us needed anything special, be it an egg allergy wondering if something could be provided without eggs, or extra orange juice for the roomA real pleasure

Tom M

Excellent value For the money, this hotel is a gem Very clean, functional

Breakfast was included and was pretty good The dining area is huge They have a pantry with basic food and drinks off hours Plenty of parking, which was free At the time we were there the EV charger was not working The location is the best part Easy walking distance to restaurants on Broadway and Congress ParkPool was clean Barely used while we were there Hit tub (spa) is HOT, not cold or lukewarm like so many other placesThey put out free snacks & cookies every afternoon Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable I’ve stayed at much more expensive, and swanky hotels However I’m often disappointed at those price ranges because nothing should be missing, and often is At the Hampton Inn Saratoga, nothing was missing

Eric Haffner

One of the best locations of any Hampton I’ve stayed at Right by the main downtown thoroughfare – a short walk away Balcony views from the hotel

Nice rooms Beautiful lobby And easy digital key with the Hilton app if you want to check in from your phone I was able to go right into the parking garage using my phone without having to check in at the desk

Everything was actually pretty good Very smooth trip good services, reasonable amenities, and a fantastic location The rooms were laid out pretty well but the bathrooms were a little small

We had a conference in the facilities were well suited to conferences and the food served was very reasonable I’ve stayed here a few times and so far with many of the other hotels in town

E S

We’ve stayed here before during a chowderfest The rooms are nice, but small The window heater was driving us crazy, it was going off and on all night and was ridiculously loud! We’re talking you need industrial earplugs! I only got 2 hours of sleep

The plus was a large fridge, coffee maker, and microwave No breakfast included with our room (used points) which was unexpected as my so regularly stays at Holiday Inns for work and continental breakfast is usually included Had I known I would have grabbed some frozen breakfast meals at a storeLinens, pillows, and towels were really good quality

T K

If you like bugs, holes in the ceilings and FILTHY hallways, stop by! Been here multiple times in the past and have actually TAKEN multiple photos of the THOUSANDS of ants and other insects I’ve seen right in the hallways & main lobby Also their Kitchen, in NO way meets any sort of Health standard, as well as the constant risk you run of the ceiling quite literally, falling on top of youAlso I’ve attempted to use their “gym” a few times late night, and have noticed their is a large bit of homeless activity throughout the back lobbies & restrooms throughout the evening

Would give this hotel a negative rating if possible

This hotel is absolutely beautiful The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly they made sure to check on me several times during my stay to ask if there’s anything that I needed

The environmental services Or if you will the maids will very courteous and friendly as well make sure my room was cleaned perfectly I was there visiting the Saratoga area with a group of my peers for business we used their Board rooms for meetings for those 4 days they also catered in our breakfast and lunches which were amazing make sure that other group didn’t want or need for anything I would highly recommend this property to do your business meetings

Patty P

The hotel was a very nice venue for the conference I was attending The location was good as far as being close to shops and food, but being so close to a main Street

not so good The constant brakes and acceleration of large vehicles all night long was tough to sleep through Also the bed seemed like it would be comfortable, but after 3 nights of trying to sleep (could also have been due to noises) I couldn’t wait to go home to sleep in my own bed My back was killing me! Overall, nice place, but had its downfalls

Rob Brock

Clean and quiet even with the chess tournament going on it still was quiet andPeacefulWill be going back as it is now my favorite get away spot

Very nice hotel, but room had repairs needed The staff texted us to be sure everything was OK, but then ignored the reply The next day they texted again and wanted a 10 rating on how great they were doing

When they later did respond to a subsequent message, they said they would make the repairs that day, and then ghosted usOtherwise, the room was spacious and had a great bathroom and a comfy bed (but we couldn’t close the curtains) Good “kitchenette” space with fridge and microwave and table big enough to eat at (but it hadn’t been cleaned well before we checked in, with crumbs all around)The lobby was a great meeting place and the breakfast was much much better than any other hotel included breakfast There was also a good snacks and beer happy hour included that was nice Great neighborhood

My mother, my daughter, and I were visiting from Florida and booked a stay for 5 nights in a 2 Queen Bed 2 Room Premium Suite The room was very spacious The breakfast was delicious and everyone working there was very friendly

However, that’s where it stops Some of the people who work at the front desk were friendly, but others need some more training on customer service To begin, my daughter found a dried up dirty hand towel in her bed, which means the beds weren’t changed It was disgusting! My mom then punctured her leg on the bed she was sleeping on because the metal hooks securing the mattress were broken and sticking out from the bottom Another hook and screws were also found on the floor We went to the front desk and explained the situation and showed the lady the screws we found and the cut on my mother’s leg She apologized and said someone would clean the room and repair the bed, and she gave us the option to change rooms We decided to stay in the room since we were already settled A manager never contacted us to discuss what happened or to see if my mom was okay our entire stay Nobody from the front desk checked in with us to make sure everything was fixed either Our beds weren’t changed for several hours, but the bed my mother was sleeping on was repaired quickly My mother continues to have pain where her skin was punctured I also had to frequently request that the water, coffee, and snacks be replenished throughout our stay, even though that is an amenity that is supposed to come with the premium suite I called the front desk to let them know we needed toilet tissue and the man who answered the phone said they didn’t have anyone from housekeeping available and that they keep some extra at the front desk that we could go pick up ourselves As a Hilton Honors member, I have stayed at many of your hotels in the past However, this recent stay was not a very pleasant one, and I hope these issues are addressed quickly for future guests

My charming room was newly renovated with lovely linens, updated bathroom, and lace and brocade window treatments Dinner was delicious and breakfast was free and generous!Love the location near town and lively music at the bar You will enjoy this charming, friendly hotel!

Lovely old hotel right on earth the main drag Walking distance to visitor center, Congress Park, and all the shopping on Broadway There’s a bar and restaurant on site and so enjoyed using the porch and back patio while I was there

The hotel definitely needs some updates; it’s dark and the carpets are ancient, but there’s also a lot of historic charm I’m summer there are window units in the rooms so they aren’t as cool as central air, and none of the outlets had USB chargers Bathroom was very outdated but super clean, and the room had a minor fridge and a desk Staff was excellent

Very disappointing stay Location was good, but that was about the only positive comment I have Lamp and clock in room both not working, lamp shade ripped, bathroom floor tiles cracked and wallpaper peeling off wall

Pool was closed for maintenance Apparently you have to request daily room cleaning something we were not aware of so had no idea why the bed was still unmade and clean towels not provided by 3PM Once you do request this service we were told it could take a day or two for it to happen I am not a big breakfast eater, but the one provided is one of the worst I have ever had This morning, by 9 AM there one was slice of bread left When I inquired I was told whatever they had was frozen Sorry, I cannot recommend this particular Comfort Inn not would I stay there again

Lia Mckee

The first room we were given was dirty, with unmade used beds, the coffee supplies that they supply for the room was on the table opened and used, all the towels in the bathroom were used and dirty and on the floor So we complained and got a new room that was clean After we went out for our friends birthday and came back to the hotel, the “hotel manager” called our room phone at 4am and told us our hotel stay has been canceled and we needed to get our stuff and leave the property and when I asked why he said we had been “too loud when we came back and walked through the hotel to our room” so he kicked us out 3 drunk girls at 4 am who responsibly got a room so we could drink and not drive

This hotel is a liability issue, and wouldn’t even refund my money If I could give 0 stars I would

This place was decent Clean enough Lots of rooms

Gazebos and picnic tables and grills outside, which led to a local young baseball team being too loud outside until after 11pm No one did anything about that, that I know of We’ve stayed at Sara Glen Motel up the road as well, which I much prefer But this place has a pool Good sized rooms

Jennifer Sutherby

I’ve stayed here every year multiple times for outings to Saratoga, for over a decade, and it was top notch for the money Well maintained, had free continental breakfast and wonderful staff Unfortunately, shortly before Covid, ownership changed hands, the place fell into disrepair and I’m sad for what this place has become in light of what it once was

I’ve stayed a couple of times since the change in ownership but have made the decision not to stay here again

Mike Otis

My previous review re equipment and amenities was my first reaction A few days later I would like to add: mgt apologized for equipment not being up and running And miscommunicatio n with housekeeping re: ur room supplies

Bottomline we understand We will be given a rebate and were given a box of chocolates on our way out All is forgiven Please give them a try!
