Stayed here because my work booked me a room here I would not have stayed here had I had the option not to Rooms are severely outdated, holes on bedsheets, curtains covered in stains, safe wasn’t functional, hair dryer wasn’t functional, room was cold even with heat cranked on

I had to lay all the towels on the bathroom floor because the tile was so cold in here Room was dirty, major food debris under the bed skirting and around edges of carpet Coffee maker was a Keurig, but it was covered in dust inside and out I would have used it had it not been so filthy Pillows were badly worn and lumpy, no comforter on the bed at all It was a thin blanket with sheets, and in MN in February that doesn’t cut it Vending machines ripped me off and wouldn’t work I then explained it to the overnight desk attendant and he was literally more concerned with what he was watching on TV and told me “that sucks” The woman working the counter during the day wasn’t so rude, but I didn’t bring it up in the morning either This place is cheap, and you get what you pay for Spend the extra $20 and get yourself something with some amenities

Check in/out were smooth We stayed for a week and didn’t know we needed to request turn over service in between which was a slight irritant They were always very friendly about providing fresh towels and bedding when requested

Our main complaints were humidity inside the room and slow internet With this being said we’d stay here againPluses were complimentary water bottles, individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies, and flexible jacuzzi hours 😉 On site laundry was affordable at $150 to wash and dry (75 each) Be prepared with your own quarters and laundry soaps as there is no vending or change machine

The 1st night of my 3 night stay the mattress was horrible and in very poor condition My wife and I kept rolling to the middle and I woke up to back pain An employee wanted to flip the mattress ( he kept saying that’s all he can do for me ) but eventually decided to replace it

The morning after the mattress problem Betty the breakfast lady was extremely extremely rude for absolutely no reason She displayed this rudeness from the moment I walked into the dining area At this point I thought I was being pranked So my stay wasn’t all that goodShawn Spencer

I am in the area looking at houses and decided to spend a little extra money for a “nicer” hotel Unfortunately, the hotel is under maintenance and very loud and dusty currently There’s paint and construction dust everywhere

The room was pretty large and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too soft I woke up with a really bad headache and neck ache the first day and had to go buy another pillowI didn’t care for the policy where they don’t clean or check on rooms that are occupied I put my trash in the hall by the door and no one picked it up Had to bring it to the trash in the laundry room and use a shopping bag in the can I’m not the best at constantly going to the front desk and asking for stuffPoor wifi meant that I had to cut my stay short, since I was supposed to be working remote It was bad on both of our phones and my work computer We couldn’t even load a basic page on our phones The wifi was so bad, I had to change my cell plan in order to enable tethering at a higher data rate Very frustrating They need to invest in a quality mesh system and possibly a better internet planThere are no usb ports in the room Had to rely on the “just in case” plug I bring when I travelThings I liked:Breakfast optionsLaundry room pricesRoom comfortLocationDislikes:PillowsPolicy where they don’t even check on the condition of your roomCondition of hotelLack of usb in roomPoor wifi coverageShower water smells strongly

Check in process was very easy arrived to our rooms the room was very simple The room was outdated there was 2 chairs that were crumbling the plastic was coming off are many our Mini fridge was over frozen with a big chunk of ice in it I was there for a wedding the wedding reception room was nice the staff are very helpful

There is a $40 deposit held Housekeeping did combine pick up our bag outside of a room for trash This is located in downtown Saint cloud There are many establishments nearby for drinks and for food and right next to the convention center

Celeste

Marriott, you can do better! It wasn’t terrible but I have higher expectations for a Marriott The biggest problem was very, very low lighting in the room and the bathroom If you’re reading this before booking 100% request a room that is on the West side of the building

You’ll thank me

The employees here are the only bright spot, and saved this courtyard from being a 1star Unfortunately, while we travel 60-70 nights a year, are BonVoy members, and almost exclusively stay in Marriott branded properties, this is the hands down ugliest, most disgusting, and disrepaired property we have seen to date, with the prices very overpriced for the quality While this is a franchised, not corporate owned property, it is hard to believe that Marriott has allowed their esteemed name to be tarnished with this property

Many items, including air conditioning, elevators, chairs and room furnishings, floor coverings, etc… broken or completely worn, beds sagging and no longer comfortable, and I had to go to the front desk and have my room rekeyed every time I came back to the room, because the electronic module would not retain memory We were charged for parking which we were never told about, and only had it show up on our checkout receipt, which is completely unsecured, a public lot, and otherwise free during non event hours, and non school months This hotel is Marriott in name and pricing only, and does not participate in any Marriott programs They are also a service requested hotel, and will not provide any in room cleaning service unless requested, and have done absolutely nothing to alert the public of such (there are no signs, no postings, and no in room placards to identify as such We were told of this, only after directly asking the front desk staff, after our room not being cleaned)

This hotel deserves 5 stars for sure I stayed there for 2 months The front desk staff were always friendly , and ready to greet you as you walked in

Daily they could be found cleaning , sanitizing the lobby to make sure it was always clean They also had the breakfast bar every morning stocked up with fresh food, fruits, juices, and so much more The front desk clerk Maggie was very helpful always , and the lady with the awesome custom curls was always helpful as well They were always professional about their business and making sure we felt at ease The housekeeping was also a great bunch Anytime I had a question they helped me to get it solved immediately The whole staff was a great bunch and I was sad when I got reassigned Great job at making the people who are far from home feel better

It was very much over priced for how dirty it was The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because there was 2 ladies that I had seen during my stay One was actually working

She wasn’t entirely friendly but she wasn’t rude by any means either She didn’t seem to care for her job She didn’t smile It was the same with the overnight girl too My room was nasty There was hair in my fridge and my sister’s fridge in a different room The room was not vacuum very well The bedding had hair in it and other STUFF The shower was NOT clean nor was there any type of water pressure The bathroom was pretty gross in general I’m wondering if my room was cleaned before I checked in and after the last person left or if they just made the bed quick and put new towels and changed the garbage I will NOT ever go there again I never seen the hallways cleaned and heard a dog next door barking all night long It was probably my worst stay in a hotel ever So the only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because if the 2 front desk ladies who clearly didn’t like their jobs but still performed them even though it was without a smile I think they are lacking house keeping all together The windows to the building had not been cleaned for at least a year to This hotel needs some work done It really doesn’t deserve 2 stars

DON’T STAY HEREI made a reservation and called to confirm it, also to check if they had any king rooms available I called at 9AM and got no answer! So I continued to call for another few hours and still no answer

finally got someone to pick up and she asked if I could hold As I was waiting I could here the receptionist talking to a customer that was there I heard the conversation end and continued to wait After 10 minutes of waiting I said screw it hung up and tried calling backagain no answer I continued to call throughout the rest of the day and never got anybody to answer So we took our business elsewhere I won’t give my business to a hotel that doesn’t have the decency to answer a phone I will never attempt to make a reservation here again!

We felt welcomed at this hotel My kids delighted in the room We did have to ask for extra bedding, but were not made to feel like we were imposing

There is a gated area for our dog to go potty It’s also the smoker’s area, and a kid play area It’s right behind the Domino’s Pizza, so you smell garlic in the air A few previous guests are/were not as considerate as we are because we saw a few poo deposits left by other dogs/owner Given the amount of dog pee there, I don’t know that I would let my kids play outside on the play area, but I appreciated having someplace safe to go at night when the dog needed to go outside The hot tub was warm and the pool was tiny, but just enough The shampoos bottle nozzles are too small, so even though there is shampoo left in the bottle, you can hardly get it out For a longer stay, we would bring our own shampoo The breakfast spread was pretty varied, and everyone found something to eat (I had oatmeal, 1 kid had a bagel with cream cheese, 1 kid had cereal, 1 kid had yogurt and there’s a nice selection of teas ) Parking was right out front, and except for the pizza delivery car parking the wrong way in the parking circle and blocking traffic, it was easy to park We will stay here again

We booked here last minute Online price was almost $20 cheaper than calling the front desk Desk attendant was very informative and helpful

Rooms were clean Loved that these are extended stay rooms with full size refrigerator, dish washer, toaster and two burner range Bed was very comfortable And the morning breakfast was VERY good, with a very nice and attentive employee refilling everything timely Only complaints are the room HVAC could be updated, no designated outdoor grassy potty places for furry friends, and the pool was much smaller than online picture appeared Overall a very enjoyable stay Customer service was top notch Recommended!

Worst hotel They had wrecked my dads Father’s Day I am from Florida, I had put the hotel in my dads name and they said because he lived in St

Cloud they wouldn’t let us stay Even though I paid for it It just wasn’t in my name because I wasn’t there yet My dad is a US vet, I was surprising him for Father’s Day to get him out of the house, but they wrecked it They were really rude, we were staying there for 4 nights They already took my money Worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I stay at a lot of hotels The lady in the front(Tamara) said she had no idea what the number was that we could call, she said they didn’t have a customer service at all and there was nothing she could help us with Even customers behind us, were upset that we couldn’t stay This is my dads first Father’s Day with me Absolutely disgusted that they couldn’t help us

Wonderful staff Steven at the front desk was very helpful when I made my reservation Nice discount for hospital (VA) Room was super clean and very comfortable as was the whole facility

The ladies were very nice and helpful in the breakfast area I had my son’s service dog and they helped me with my coffee and plate In the dining area they have a table setup for the missing soldier Wish I could post a picture Beautiful done if your veteran stay here

B Lindy

Had all of our wedding guests book here because they provided a free shuttle However, a couple weeks before the event they cancelled the shuttle service claiming too few guests had booked with us After asking my guests it was determined that 20+ people were already booked

When I called back to see if we could still use a shuttle because clearly we had enough people they let me know that they had no one to drive The only reason I recommended this hotel for our Guests was for the shuttle service and now it’s way too close to the event date to change reservations to a hotel that does offer transportation, I do NOT recommend using this hotel if you’re planning a wedding or event

Our Family

We wanted a wonderful night out with our two children so this was a planned family overnight trip to enjoy the pool, swimming, hot tub and just some quality time Sadly upon checking into our room we saw stains on the outer blanket top on both beds, hair in the bathtub and the fridge still had items in it from whoever stayed in it previous to us which I thought was very strange It is like the housekeeper forgot to do multiple things on her checklist prior to our check in

We were supposed to get a room with two queen beds and instead we were given a room with two double beds it seemed We have queen beds at home and the beds we slept in were def not queen beds OR maybe hotel queen beds are smaller than traditional queen beds at home It was very strange that the beds were smaller The beds were very uncomfortable and all four of us woke up with aches and pains It really was not a comfortable relaxing overnight stay We wanted to use the pool and hot tub the next morning since checkout was to be at 11am but when we got ready and all went down to the pool the next morning there was caution tape surrounding the hot tub and we were told we could not use it That was def a huge bummer for all four of us because it was one of the main reasons that we got a hotel for a night out was to enjoy the pool and hot tub as much as possible If we would have known that the hot tub was going to be closed we would have probably rented a different hotel in St Cloud since that was so important to usThe good about the hotel is the location right off an I-94 exit so the ease of getting on and off the freeway was excellent The distance into the actual town of St Cloud was about a 10min drive to shops and into the center of town The hotel is located right across the street from the Pilot truck stop, McDonalds and Subway restaurant so it was very easy to grab a bite to eat before we checked in and after we checked out The morning breakfast at the hotel was absolutely spectacular They had a full buffet style breakfast Going from right to left on the counter was an amazing pancake machine, hot fresh cinnamon rolls, toast, muffins, fresh hot biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, veggie and egg omelette, sausage links, turkey sausage patties, juices, milks, cereal and yogurt

The room was nice and the lobby was clean Breakfast was tasty However, there was bubble gum on the wall of my room, and the TV didn’t work: it was on the wrong input

When I called the front desk, I was basically told there was nothing they could do I did manage to fiddle with the TV on my own to get it functional Beds were a bit hard Overall, it was okay but I’m not positive I’d return

High end decor will greet you upon check in Pricing fair middle of the roadExceptional young man at desk

A/C ran well with a bonus, a working thermostatOur room continued with 2 queen beds and a spacious areaDecor included oversized vault like door to bathroom which was a bit of an overstatement but overall amenities very niceWorkers were hardworking and courteous yet appeared tired Too bad Hilton charges for breakfast The in room coffee very good though

Tom F

I would do 4 1/2 if I could Helpful, friendly and polite staff Clean new property

Only issue was extremely hard mattress, a coffee maker that wouldn’t work and an alignment issue with the sliding bathroom door To be honest, there is also a Residence Inn on site Room design seems a lot better there especially if you booked the event center

Meg Hernandez

Super nice hotel, very clean and modern Staff was VERY friendly to me and my 2 dogs I will be staying at more Hilton’s based on this stay

Stayed in a conjoined room and I could hear the people on the other side of the door arguing so wouldn’t recommend a conjoined room if you need quiet but that could easily be just because they were fighting and throwing things

The rough – Breakfast was overcrowded No milk No waffle batter

Eggs were swimming in water Pool was cloudy and didn’t seem clean Adult swim from 10-midnight which is awesome but there was a kids hockey team in there well after 10 Screaming and towel snapping each other No basket or anything to put dirty pool towels and there were no clean pool towels Parking lot not plowed correctly and then it refroze so it was deeply rutted and treacherous Rooms are not quiet You can hear everything in the hallwaysThe good – Staff we talked to seemed friendly and the room was nice and clean

Michael Abramson

The facility is average at best While the room was clean, the shower was sub-standard Mold appeared all over the tiles and the tension bar holding the shower curtain was rusted

There was a large bug in the shower when we arrived The breakfast quality and selection were sub-standardwith the exception of the “make it yourself waffles” which were quite good

jaime morse

When we got to our room the pillowcases were on the bed folded in on the pillows and the beds didn’t have covers only sheets and blankets We opened the fridge to find two waters and a bunch of string cheese The shower had a small portion of a bar of soap on the shelf

And the garbage bags were laid across the can for us to put on When we went to get breakfast everything was basically gone We got a small cup of coffee is all The eggs, sausage, muffins, etc were gone The only thing available to eat was bread and bagels

Location in the city was ideal But the site itself felt like a modified senior living center Room turnover service could have been much better

They missed fecal matter or vomit (not sure which) around the toilet itself Only two tissues left in the box, had to go all the way to front desk to pickup The beds were ok but honestly not that comfortable They call the site pet friendly, but you have to sign a huge agreement to stay with them If you have dogs, there is only one small place outside to take them and its on a large incline, which I could see owners literally breaking their backs in the winter should they fall Lastly their morning breakfast consists of stopping at the front desk to pickup your (complimentary) brown bag with water and granola bar Overall just wasn’t please with the stay As we’ve stayed in better for less If you need a safe and fairly clean place to stay last minute, this place works But I’d suggest planning ahead and book elsewhere for the price

Deb Courts-Brown

The room was comfortable, but the noise from the pool came in through the air conditioner The staff was amazing, especially at the banquet dinner we attended Very fast and friendly

Nice location with a beautiful river walk easily accessibleWe didn’t have any problems, but a number of vehicles in the parking lot were broken into while we were there Windows were not broken so the thieves apparently had an electronic device to override the locks Unfortunately there were no security cameras in that area

best western plus kelly innNOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE”We don’t have those Our rooms are “mobility accessible “

The hotel ” Property meets ADA of 1990 (US hotels only)” [From website]Beds would not move No room between or on either side There is no accessibility to get in or out except at the foot of the bedYou can reach the hangers in the closet if you pull everything else out first You can not reach the controls to the AC and the heat thermostat and controls are too high, alsoThe bathroom had a rail next to toilet that was vertical ( up and down) and placed back next to thigh position There was a bath stool a sheet metal triangle that folded down onto a slim 1/2″ metal rodFront entrance accessible but rooms are all the way around the building at the back corner Iffy concrete and entrance at back which is away from handicap parkingNo coffee/tea in room Front reception coffee looked bad and messy area Hot breakfast(which the web site quoted as a hot buffet breakfast in the on site restaurant) only exits if you order and pay individual prices (no buffet) 2 egg breakfast with one meat $999BUT you get a 10% discount if you show your room cardArea did not seem too safe but seemed well patrolled

Clean, beautiful and most of all awesome customer service! They came up and helped with the fold out bed, checked on things for us and were just friendly Having had a poor experience somewhere else earlier that day, it was so nice to come to such a friendly, comforting and clean place with nice amenities The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was good too! The rooms were well kept and spacious

Very fun stay and nice experience

Allison Tirevold

It’s a brand new hotel so everything was very newUnfortunately that is the only nice thing that I have to say about this hotelOur rooms were reserved with a wedding block

The wedding party which included our kids had their reservations and rooms so mixed up that they were given keys to occupied roomsMULTIPLE TIMES There was a dead battery in the keyless entry system on the groom’s room the night before the wedding which the staff was not able to fix After an hour and a half another member of the wedding party went to a connecting hotel to get a charger for the system to get him in the roomThe morning of the wedding there was no hot water in the hotel While on the way to the wedding the Groom received a message from his credit card company that his card was frozen because he was charged with all the rooms that had been blocked under his name The wedding party had also been charged for the same roomsWe are reasonable folks and realize that we live in a new world now and everyone needs to take a deep breath, be patient and offer each other some grace This was over the top and very little concessions were made for these catastrophic inconveniencesWe will avoid staying at this hotel again due to this experience

Doreen Ariola

The stay was great Wonderful room Howevereverything changed when we checked out and got to our vehicle

Mine and MANY OTHERS were broken into! Our doors were locked always and we never leave anything of value when we are not in our vehicle Still our car was a complete mess with all contents of glove box and other compartments and papers everywhere We called the Hotel to find that they didn’t have any outside cameras AT ALL!Other guests had items that were lost in thisAMATEUR Attack So my question is why wouldn’t you have any cameras out there protecting your customers vehicles and safety? For as much as we paid for our WonderfulComfortable Suite almost$300 we will not be backIt’s obvious that MarriottDOES NOT value customer safety–so if you would like to have the comfort and security that you expect from a High End Hotel Experience– Just keep driving past theMarriott Residence InnSt Cloud MN There are plenty of Non-MarriottHotels that will accommodate you !
