We always stay at a Holiday Inn Express when we travel but this was not the same experience Outside looks like their typical/renovated hotel however, rooms are very dated and small I wouldn’t recommend this location if you enjoy other Holiday Inn Express locations, you will be disappointed

Pros:-Not far from tourist attractions-No daily parking fee (others in the area charge)-Parking lot/facility was gated and well lit-Morning front desk staff were pleasant and helpfulCons:-Typical breakfast was missing ‘normal’ options daily (We were there for 6 days/5 nights) Also, breakfast staff was overheard talking about guests to other guests (not positively)-No hot water one morning but was corrected in the afternoon Also, shower made a very loud sound while water was running-Rooms are very outdated and small comparatively-Possibly not the greatest area but I’m not from around there I only say that because the front door is a key card swipe to open 24/7 and there is a security guard overnight

This location is situated perfectly for enjoying the area It’s a safe and clean place to stay The Ritz Carlton it is not

There was a disconnect somewhere on there part concerning my reservation but fortunately it was resolved later that evening It has its own parking lot but if you happen to go when the hotel is at capacity, finding a spot might be a chore Parking spaces are tight It’s very dated and some of the furniture and drapes in my room looked tired It definitely needs some attention to detail Breakfast was OK and served its purpose Walmart is just down the street I would stay here again but it would not be my first choice

Renée

Pros and cons—Cons: To Google maps and IHG Google stated this was 8 minutes from my destination NOT!And from the employee standpoint

ahem IHG please get them renovated!!Pros: Staff, hkpg and the girl at the front desk who greeted me were wonderful! (give them a raise!)Clean but dated rooms Breakfast was yummy, just like the one at my hotel!👋😄

Located in strategic area Comfortable bunk bed, clean bathroom, cozy rooftop, free to use kitchen and fridge Some books and board games available in lounge room

Pancakes for breakfast, tea coffee all day Friendly staff Worth the priceSatisfying hostel experience If you’re lucky like me, you’ll end up having the room for yourself

This is probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in DC The staff are super nice and welcoming, always making sure your visit and stay is enjoyable and going out of their way to make you feel welcomed All the ladies working here are angels

I was scheduled to arrive late at night, and Jessica waited for me and checked me in when I arrived at night The hostel is in a very nice neighborhood (Capitol Hill) Although it’s not close to the tourist sites, the Metro is 2 blocks away, you’re right by a grocery store (Trader Joes), and surrounded by great bars and restaurants The wifi worked on all the floors (no spotty signal, it was strong on all 3 floors!) and rooms were super cool (a respite from the scorching DC heat) The rooftop patio was nice, and the outdoor patio Delicious chocolate chip pancakes were served every morning, with coffee TV had majority of the streaming services on it to keep you occupied, lounge on the 3rd floor had books and 2 computers The only complaint I have is that the bathrooms are kinda in a very awkward spot (located smack dab in the living room) Anyone can see and hear you walk to and from the bathroom (and what you do inside), and when you walk out, the whole living room can see The men’s showers are also next to the living room/kitchen, and anyone walking by the kitchen can see everything going on in the showers, making it slightly uncomfortable Rooms were a bit cramped and small But overall, the hostel was very clean and modern

Honest review If you value security find another hostelThere was definitely some positives The staff were amazing, and the beds were fairly comfy

That’s about where the positives ended unfortunatly for meI was unable to feel secure inside the hostel The outer front doors stay unlocked the whole time, and the front doors, while locked have a hole in the middle for sliding documents through, that could fit a small arm and someone could easily just open the door from inside The rooms themselves have zero locks on them (completely unacceptable in my opinion) They do have lockers, but they are all on the second floor (dorms on all 3 floor) and definitely not big enough to fit a larger backpack, and not enough for every guest, so there is a chance you won’t get a locker and have to leave your stuff in an unlocked roomThe rooms were too small, with barely any room between the beds You will feel like a sardine can in the rooms, and I have zero idea how it passed fire code inspectionThe men’s shower area has no lock on the door and it’s just off of the kitchen I’d hate someone to be eating and get an eyeful they don’t want to see while eating When I was there only one overhead light in the bathroom was working, the other was flickering, generally meaning electrical problems, and apparently it had been like this for a few days There is rust all around the base of the bathroom light fixtures, meaning they aren’t meant to be used in a moisture rich environmentAll in all, would NEVER stay here again, or reccomend to anyone unless you are in a real pinch Even then sleep with all your important stuff basically attached to you so you can feel secureUnacceptable for the price I paid for the hostel I did not feel safe or overly comfortableBut as I said, with all that, the staff truly are wonderful! They are super helpful and accommodating and great fun to hang around

Hotel accommodations were wonderful However the family above us kept letting their children jump off the bed onto the floor and had TV up so loud we could hear it Called front desk 3 times and even though “security” was sent up the disturbance continued

When asked to be moved to another room we were told that was not an option Hotel staff could clearly have cared less, but the room itself was nice I would know, I was up literally all night and got to look at it in great detail

Raquel Seymone

Well appointed suites great for short term stays Conveniently located in Ritchie Station so it’s surrounded by grocery stores, restaurants, and retailSufficient on site parking with roaming security

Housekeeping is only available every 4th night I extended my stay by one additional night for a total of 5 nights but was told I couldn’t get housekeeping because my original stay wasn’t 4 nights Very Disappointed in how that was handled, but overall the staff I encountered at check in and throughout the stay was kind and professional

Mic Warren

Some of the people were great but some just don’t seem to care, we told them many times while we were there that our room smelled of smoke and one of the nice people brought us an air freshener It helped a little bit but we found that the smell came back over and over again, we found that the smell was embedded in all the fabric of the room and the vents were filled with tar (dripped out when wet), they didn’t do anything or switch our room so we moved to a different hotel completely

Very nice establishment! Customer service is spot on Everyone was friendly The staff & management was very accommodating to my disabled son who relocated back to the area to take care of his health and this made him feel so welcomed that it encouraged him to want to be more social and do physical activities that he hadn’t done since he came out of rehab over a year ago

The beds are comfortable, the room was spacious Although we weren’t fortunate enough to get one of the handicap accessible rooms, it still allowed plenty of room for a wheelchair to be wheeled around in and in and out of the doors that were wide enough

Monique James

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend Not clean at all The only thing we enjoyed was the pool

Our first room had hair in the linen I was told housekeeping was gone for the evening So they switched our room The manager Dexter gave us 5,000 points and a Marriott membershipAfter taking down all the party decorations and packing we moved into our new room Just to encounter the same problem and worse Not only was there hair in the bed But the sink was clogged The pull out couch where I had planned on sleeping was severely stained The carpet had white spots as wellI made the front desk aware and even emailed pictures and videos Yes I booked through a third party Everyone made it clear by reminding me repeatedly However, that’s no excuse to treat a expecting mom with three other little children present I did not sleep well With four people cramped up in a king size bed Completely unacceptable!

V Hillwill

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay The hotel was very clean and looked new We were greeted by Aesha

Her customer service was exceptional She was very friendly and honored our early check in request Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated Parking is convenient We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

Average stay, average hotel Average breakfast Hot shower even though the water pressure would change while I was in the shower

Most hotels that I’ve stayed at have black out curtains , this one did not There were rooms available but at first I wasn’t all able to check in early After 15 hours I was allowed I’ve always been able to check in early ( I’m a night nurse) Otherwise I liked how close it was to stores and restaurants

Dana Plummer

We were treated with great respect and professionalism”Tanisha” was exceptionally good at taking care of our room as well as kindly attending to our needs for fresh towels She should train others to be kind, caring, respectful, and professional hotel housekeepers

The front desk was warmly inviting and helpful to usThe building was clean and organizedWe were very impressed with the Morning Breakfast and The Cafe AreaKeep up the GREAT WORK!❤ HOPEFULLY,WE WILL BE BACK!GOD BLESS YOU!

Cheryll Fleming

The rooms were updated and very clean They were a little small so with luggage for just two people it felt cramped The microwave, fridge and coffee maker were newer models

The front desk clerks were very helpful I asked for a fork since our delivery didn’t include one and he had no problem giving us 2 plastic forks I also asked for late checkout which was accommodated with no issue The hotel is close to shopping, food and a cinema I would stay here again

The lobby/check in staff were fantastic! The room was clean (minus needing a little dusting), the breakfast was awesome & it was in a great location We did have a couple of critiques, but nothing that was a big deal We asked for the room farthest from the elevator & was given the room right by the elevator, we were charged for a pet fee, despite not having a pet & leaving the room very clean (but they graciously removed), not having a bathroom ventilation fan in the bathroom & low water pressure, but we were very pleased w/ our stay & would definitely go back!

Deanna Lewis

We stayed here for a stop at six flags America This was a perfect location due to the food and shopping nearby, The pool is nice (not too exciting but good for keeping kids entertained for a little)The breakfast here was excellent with good choices Check in and out was also easy

Do ask for a room away from the elevators as they do make noise when they arrive on the same floor, if that is something that will bother you

Tim J

I didn’t stay here, my family did They told me that the room was very comfortable and spacious They enjoyed the breakfast and even though the lobby was full, there was still ample room to move around

The liked the fact that the location is off the mall but yet is on it so they really didn’t have to deal with mall too much mall traffic interrupting them They would stay at this property again

My Mom and I came to Maryland for a Church Youth Revival and last minute we were trying to find a place to stay and then we ended up finding the Laurel Manor BnB! We were so pleased with our stay here and definitely want to come back again! Our hosts Lisa & Dave were both so kind & immediately made us feel at home! We are so thankful for them! Also, the property is so beautiful! Plus, breakfast was so good! You feel like family when you are there!

Seth RIVKIN

Laurel Manor B&B is by far one of the best we’ve ever stayed at! From the well kept grounds and building to the wonderful homemade breakfasts and nighttime brownies, from the wonderful energy to the cleanest rooms we’ve ever seen in any B&B, Laurel Manor is a perfect place to stayOur thanks to Lisa Everett, the owner/operator, who was the perfect host We look forward to staying with you again and than k you for your hospitality!

Cheyenne Deane

Lisa saved my wedding from disaster this weekend when, just a few hours before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, I found out my guests food was completely cold My bridesmaids and I were staying at Laurel Manor House and Lisa and her husband were kind enough to allow us to use their ovensThe B&B is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully run

While we were there even the picky eaters among us enjoyed the hosts wonderful cooking Check in was extremely easy and the electronic door lock made coming in and out a breeze Parking behind the house is easy, spacious and feels secureAll of our rooms were set up as we asked and spotless for our arrivalI highly recommend staying here for anyone who is looking to visit the area or just needs a little vacation

Good experience and a good price Satisfied customer I stayed here one weeknight in January 2022

Online I got a AAA rate of $80 for the room ($90 total), which is a great price, and the room was good The lobby is very attractive I did not see the pool during my stay My room had mini fridge and in-room coffee, but no microwave TV and bathroom were good so I have no complaints about the room The only drawback is the lack of free breakfast I had forgotten that one of the main concepts of Courtyard hotels is that breakfast is not included There is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant located in a high-rise building across the street, and it’s quite decent and without super high prices Overall I was pleased with my choice for this one-night stay near Washington DC

Kelly Rittenberry

We asked if there is a cot available because my teenage son is now over 6 foot I guess we’re getting to the point where our kids want their own beds They did not have a cot available but Brianna at the front desk suggested an upgrade to a 2 room suite at no cost

The suite was awesome both rooms were very clean In my job, we talk about the delighting customers She certainly did that Thank you to Brianna and the other gentleman at the desk Everyone was kind and quick to help This was our first stop on our road trip and it’s off to a good start Thank you!

I recommend finding a hotel Staff was friendly, and the pictures are nice, but they do not accurately represent the current condition of the hotelMy husband and I travel a lot, and this is probably one of our least liked locations

1 When we arrived, we paid for and reserved a king size bed and was also hoping to be placed in one of the rooms that was renovated We were placed in a pretty creepy room with two full size beds that were not big enough for us Room was reserved in advance and should have been held, especially being a rewards member Additionally, as reward member one of the perks is being eligible for an upgrade but that was not offered to us either2 We had to be moved to another room which was a big inconvenience of having to pack things back up to change rooms3 We waited over 14 hours waiting on towels after requesting 3-4 times4 The coffee isn’t courtesy, which is fine Okay, I paid for coffee each day But what I wasn’t happy with is the fact that one day in particular I asked for a refill and was quickly shut down (after paying) Cool, I understand that is policy But get this my husband later wakes up and comes down and was offered (and given) a free cup of coffee (which he gave to me) Although, I received the benefit it was still disappointing to see that type of service take place after I paid and was turned down when asking for a refill That truly did not make sense to meAnyhow, many contributing factors as to why we would not stay here again when visiting family Choose wisely

Place a bit weird 4th floor is probably under construction because the hallway is not air conditioned, super hot during the day and smell like rodents and have a few wall coverings taped in place by masking tape and a part of the hallway curtained off and that where the heat is coming fromThe rooms are quite nice and AC works

Clean bathroom Although the toilet is super high and you feel like a perching eagle with feet dangling (I am 5’10”) Pillows are of 2 varieties – feather and synthetic Decent mattress as wellThere is even a little balcony with a nice view onto the inner patioThe pool is closed due to some regulation from 2020 Gym is open 24 hrs with free weights, 2 treadmills and an elliptical Towels, disinfectant wipes and chilled water machine make it a nice experience working outBar is closed

California Dreaming

After being on the road for 4 hours I arrived to the hotel 35 minutes before the 3pm check in time I went inside to ask if I could possibly check in early (you have to be buzzed in) and as soon as the door opens the lady at the front desk yells across the lobby “if you’re here to check in check in time isn’t until 3pm” I understand rules are made to be followed, I get it, but I would have appreciated a little professionalism on her part to at least pretend to want to accommodate me even if the result (me having to wait 35 minutes to check in) was the same

So I go outside and wait until 3pm to come back to a very rude check in process (by the same lady) I was already turned off by my experience with the front desk only to open the door to a room that was subpar especially for the price I paid (there was a concert going on at the FedEx Field so I’m hoping that’s why the prices were inflated) The bed was springy and lacked support or cushion, the pillows were flat, and my comforter was dingy and stained The shower is VERY small (tub/shower combo) and had hair in it My mirrors had what I assume to be toothpaste splattered on it I explored the area and ended up checking into another hotel nearer to the concert venue that had a very polite staff and the hotel and rooms were a lot cleaner In the immediate area (literally next door to each other) are two other hotel optionsthere is a Residence Inn by Marriott and a Hilton Garden I believe I would fork over the extra couple of dollars in hopes that the service, beds, and cleanliness are better Needless to say if there is an event in the area again I would definitely not come back and will avoid any stays at the Sonesta brand in the future

Nomad Family

Nothing about this hotel makes it worth the price Staff is unprofessional They double charged our bank card for no reason

They said the money would go back to our account same day, had to wait 5+ days Rooms are decent, no amenities here except a mediocre gym Pool is closed for no reason, you have to request microwaves, the fridge in rooms is very small and don’t work well Definitely shady at night, a guy kept trying to sell stuff to us as we enter and exit the hotel building Late at night people standing in the hallways talking loudly The front desk people have no respect and speak to you like you have never stayed in a hotel before, don’t waste your money! Do not recommend and won’t return

I had a 2 night stay here last week and I was greeted by Mia who was a very friendly and informative employee She even offered to look up restaurants/closest wine stores nearby for me when I inquired I really appreciated the kindness upon arriving

My room was very clean and and modern and the shades made the room dark for sleeping The only issue I had were some very noisy neighbors around midnight which lasted until around 1:30, which sounded like they were moving furniture around for 45 minutes and banging on the walls, but that is not the hotel’s fault I enjoyed the breakfast and always available coffee/tea in the lobby as well I was going into DC and the Greenbelt Metro station was a 10 minute drive from the hotel, which was very convenient also I look forward to staying here again the future

I always travel for work and always stay here when I’m in town It’s one of the cleanest and best 3 star hotels I’ve stayed in It’s always extremely comfortable and is a good location and everything is up to date and new

Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the noise at night if you’re on the highway side of the building I’m in my 20s and never have issues sleeping even with noise but even this was a little much for me Other than that I would recommend this hotel everytime

Andrew K

Staff was excellent! I’m sorry I can’t give 5 stars on this alone and separate it from the Hotels location! A crowd of “youths” in and around the lobby as I’m checking in after midnight And on the street in and around the Hotel there was rambunctious activity and even fighting that had local police intervention! Great stuff when you’re trying to sleep And not just for a minute or two, this went on for hours! I expect more from a Hilton! And oh, the water dripping out of the shower, basically made it useless was the kicker! Unacceptable! Otherwise the room was spotless and nice, very clean! Again, staff was wonderful and I felt sorry for them having to deal with the trouble there

The roll in shower was nice and had an adjustable shower head They provided a shower chair that made it easy to transfer and take my shower There are tons of outlets for charging your devices and I found the king sized bed really comfortable I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again

The level of customer service for such a beautiful hotel was terrible to say the least My family and I drove 3 hours to help my sister who recently had a baby and was overwhelmed They paid for a room for us to stay in not far from their house

Upon arrival/registration process, I was told the room was not paid for and I would need to pay about $461 for the 2 nights After getting the paperwork I noticed a different card from mines showing and questioned it With an annoyed tone the rep said it was only to hold the room, which still needs to be paid for so sign here I completed the check in process as I was already exhausted and just ready to get some sleep My mom and children went up to the room while I looked for a parking spot After getting upstairs, I noticed the door would not lock at the bottom, but decided to ignore it and use the top latch I noticed my mom who is anemic,, sitting with her head wrapped up and shivering I asked what was wrong with the heat she said it wasn’t coming on but maybe she didn’t know what she was doing After trying it myself, I noticed the thermostat was not working at all, it was an old time wall thermostat with the switch on the bottom and temperature buttons to adjust No lights were displayed to indicate it was working so I called down to service desk to get it fixed or moved to another room By this time it’s a out 11:30 and had worked since 6am The woman answered the phone and after I explained what was going on replied, there are no utility workers on shift, the hotel is completely booked and the only option is to get some blankets to us I said fine reluctantly and waited for the blankets The security guard brought 2 blankets for us a few minutes later and said normally you just have to turn up the heat to warm it up He checked it out and said wow you’re right, nothing IS happening Maybe then can put you downstairs This time my mom called the front desk and was met with an unfriendly even more annoyed tone After another explanation of the heat situation, my mom asked to speak with a manager; she was told, “There is no manager, we are fully booked and I’m busy right now” My mother said there is no way I’m paying all this money to stay at a hotel with no heat, if you can’t help me then we’ll take our money elsewhere She then said you’re welcome to leave which we did After speaking to my sister, she was furious because the Crown Plaza had an affiliate hotel right across the street The agent could have tried just a tad bit more to act like she cared about her guests Customer Service is the face of a business and that experience could have been managed so differently If I could give 0 stars I would

This is my favorite hotel! Love the fact that it’s across the street from Carabbas and close to Target Staff is so friendly Beds are so comfy and like the 4 smaller pillows

My sister in law and I have been best friends since high school and we love to come every month or so to unwind and catch up The hotel never disappoints! And thanks again to the maintenance man who stopped and showed me how to use the ice machine He didn’t have to do that and on a hot day, Dorothy and I sure did appreciate it!

Checking in was a breeze and employees were very amicable King bedroom was nice and clean although the carpet could use an update I appreciate that the self-parking and breakfast buffet is included in the rate

Close to a number of shopping centers and highways so easy to grab a bite, buy any necessities, or make my way to points east or west

Outdated rooms, mildew and cigarette smell throughout the entire hotelnot to mention limited response from hotel staff!!How disappointing this property ended up being compared to the reviews and photos

Upon check-in I was greeted with a somewhat lackadaisical attitude by hotel staff Never was I asked what type of room would I like based on my preferences already on fileOnce the entering the room you immediately notice the wear and tear on walls, furniture, and carpet However the worst part would be the odor!! Stale cigarettes and perfume mixed together with dampnessThis had to be the worst experience I’ve had in a long timeI’ll admit the complimentary breakfast was good Staff kept all items refreshed and cleanHotel location was excellentnestled amongst routes 50, 301, 197, as well as MLK HighwayAll in all I’ll more than likely never return to the this property simply because of the lack of communication and willingness to resolve guest comfortably issues

We stayed here for two weeks while our home was being remodeled The location was perfect for us We booked two rooms as my husband and I both work remotely and had our double monitors set up in each room

The desk/chair was comfortable for working 10+ hrs/day The internet was fast and reliableThere is no kitchen but there are plenty of eating options just steps from the hotel There is a microwave and a small fridge The free coffee in the lobby was pretty good too!Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool as a treat and we made use of the fitness centerThe breakfast is cooked to order and served I would have rather full self service because it took a long time in the mornings, but it was good The food was fresh, especially the fruitsEveryone was friendly and the accommodations were comfortable overall It is not easy to live/work out of a hotel with small kids, we made the best of it and this turned out to be a great option

The hotel looks great from outside, bedroom clean and big Unfortunately, The bathroom smell of Urine When speaking to the staff who insisted that all rooms cleaned very well and she didn’t smell it and she stated she had a good nose

The front desk staff is professional but I cannot feel her warmthOther than that the hotel cafe’ staff is very friendly, look forward to switching to a different room this afternoon

VagabondMike

This hotel looks clean and modern, but that’s where the comfort ends Every expense was spared in the comfort of this hotelI’m sure they could have found a firmer substance for the bed

Maybe concrete, but even that may have been an improvement, at least springs wouldn’t have been stabbing at me all nightThe pillows are feather, but broken down horribly I would like to think it’s from washing them so often, but they weigh a ton for a feather pillow, which means they’re probably full of dust mites from years of useIt was clean, but I probably would have gotten a better nights sleep in the truck Spend your money somewhere else

An Informed Tourist

Mixed feelings… Making the reservation and getting an accurate rate – then confirming the rate – through IHG was a NIGHTMARE I spent over two hours total on the phone and talked with five different people to get things straightMy group of 16 selected this hotel because it had parking, breakfast, and a pool

Unfortunately the pool was closed (IHG did not mention this when I confirmed with them that the hotel did in fact have a pool) and two of our non-smoking rooms smelled like cigarette smokeThe breakfast was okay Nothing special, but okayThe positive side of things is that the staff was FANTASTIC The manager apologized for the problems, did not try to cover anything up or make any excuses, and did his best to make things right! He was gracious in ensuring that we received the correct rate and compensation for the smokey rooms He also explained that the hotel is under new ownership and new management who are actively working to improve the facility We even saw an interior design team present when we checked in

Was greeted at desk by a gentleman in a plain white t shirt and jeans, not professional, and some guests making a complaintFound the pool and hot tub was closed by a handwritten note at front desk We specifically booked this hotel for those amenities

Our room on the first floor was in no way a soundproof room, highway traffic and other guests noise, caused a sleepless nightHowever the room was clean and the breakfast selections were nice

I booked through Bookingcom I arrived to check-in around 11pm on a Saturday night, we were greeted by a young lady

She was very friendly and informative Everything was nice & clean & it smelled great However, we noticed what appeared to be poop on the side of our toilet I let the front desk agent know and notice she was struggling to find another room for us since they were at full capacity for the night I told her I’d be fine if someone just cleaned the toilet She expressed that she’s supposed to move me but she just doesn’t have another room and came into the room and deep cleaned the bathroom all over again herself For our inconvenience, they gave us extra reward points and free breakfast Aside from the poop, I was certainly pleased with my stay & the way the front desk handled the situationThe king bed was super comfy and so was the room HVAC worked like the one in my home and wasn’t super loud like most hotelsOur free breakfast was amazing & the morning staff gave us no trouble with providing it The cafe area staff were very friendly and profession yet personable Even though they were busy Sunday morning, they held it down

We stayed here for a few nights in late winter All and all it was a good experience The rooms were clean and the grounds were in order, there were no major complaints

I did have a few small complaints 1) There was trash in the vending machine alcove It sat there for 2 days until we said something because of the smell 2) The bar leaves a bit to be desired Nothing hot is served after breakfast, anything that could be considered related to Starbucks is breakfast only It was 20deg outside when we stayed so something warm to drink would have been really nice 3) the delivery trucks do not go to the delivery doors Instead they pull up right in front of the hotel and block the entry way Speaking with the clerk this was a common occurrence 4) This is more of an honorable mention but the rooms do not have a microwave If you need to heat food you have to go to the lobbyAll things considered I would stay here again if I was in the area

I stayed here for about 2 weeks The place is tucked away in plain sight! The rooms are really nice, clean, and very modern design The staff is very helpful

I like the fact that they have security that patrol the parking lot at night to minimize car thefts etc The lobby is really big, with the bistro/bar, with ample seating, also a tv/lounge area, computer space all in one big area but they all set themselves apart from the other areas The indoor pool is a win and the gym So you can’t beat this place if your looking for a place to stay

Clean, quiet and convenient location Spacious rooms with mini fridge and microwave Extended continental breakfast hours on weekends

Early check-in option with 11a check out Sofa and desk located in rooms There were cracks in the ceiling in bathroom but nothing more problematic in room There are Dove products for body and hair which was extremely delightful! Housekeeping has a presence and politely knocked on the door as a reminder that check out was in 10 minutes The breakfast was a bit interesting, surprised no potatoes There is a pancake makersorry no waffles! Cinnamon rolls were dry Eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits were hot food items There is also a pool area! Plenty of uncovered parking out front This hotel is very clean all over I highly recommend if you are in the area for business or personal travel

I would love to give this hotel an excellent review because it appeared as if the customer service was superb and the rooms were clean and smelled good I had to put a $50 deposit when I was using my debit card This was fine even though I spoke to them on the phone and they didn’t tell me anything about a deposit when using a credit card or when using cash

I was supposed to use cash to pay for the room but there was $150 deposit when using cash This is not noted on a sign anywhere and was not told to me when I made the reservation and specifically ask what is the total cost to reserve the room I paid for two days but I actually checked out early on the second day before The cleaning staff even got to my room I did not expect to get a refund for that day But I had a feeling that because the room was paid for for the entire day and the cleaning staff hadn’t even made it to my room that they were going to either use my room for their own personal use or try to sell the room to someone else I had no issue with that but my suspicions was something funny was going to happen This was May 1 that I checked out and now it is May 12 and I still have not received my $50 deposit They are holding my money hostage I have called them and they claim that they have sent it back and I have also called my bank and they say that Holiday Inn express is holding my $50 deposit still I would never use my card at this hotel again let alone even do business with them I left the room spotless and I know I did not make any damages so there was no need for them to hold my $50 deposit A matter of fact they assured me that everything was fine and they had released my $50 deposit I am highly upset because I needed that money because it wasn’t in my budget to give that to them in the first place There is some shady stuff going on there and I do feel like it was racially motivated

Stayed here 3 nights for business It is decent hotel overall besides the really hard and uncomfortable bed, but the horrible service ruined it for me I called multiple weeks ahead and asked for late checkout for my final day since I had work to do, which they agreed and told me the latest was 3pm

Great So I planned to work and leave by 3pm The night before checkout, I even called the front desk to confirm I had late checkout They told me yes, they see it on my reservation, no problem However at 11:15 the morning of checkout, I get a call in my room by Evelyn at the front desk saying I need to check out I told her I had arranged late checkout and she told me, no you did not, we don’t do that, you need to leave because we have a large party coming and we need to clean your room I told her, it was arranged ahead of time for my reservation and I even confirmed last night She replied, oh that person is new they don’t know what they’re doing Wow I told her, well I’m in the middle of work I can’t stop and I need until 3pm as I had planned to After going back and forth she agreed to 2pm, even though I needed 3pm as planned I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none Only when I asked her name did she say okay, you can stay until 3 This after arguing with me and being extremely rude and unprofessional In all my years of staying at hotels, I’ve never ever experienced being treated like that This same person, Evelyn, was even rude at check in She wasn’t even at the front desk when I arrived and the door was locked so I couldn’t even get in the hotel I waited for a while before she finally let me in Once I did and got my room key, I asked for a cart to haul up all my stuff since I had a lot and was told they’re all occupied No concern whatsoever as I struggled to get all my stuff up People like Evelyn should not work in hospitality Oh and the kicker is when I checked out before 3pm, this large party they were kicking me out for was not even there So all that arguing and rude service… for nothing I was planning to come stay at this hotel regularly and now I’ll take my business elsewhere

Great place and reasonable price Decided to use our points, if you stay for 4 days, the fifth day is free We had a studio with a queen bed

Good room size with a comfortable lounge chair, table for reading, computers or office works if you are virtually working/ studying It has a kitchen and nice size bathroom and closets Room clean, well maintained and organized Another great thing is they offer free breakfast The foods are packed in its original container so you can be assured it’s safe

Ms. J.

Every staff member I encountered during my stay was pleasant & professional I stayed for a month due to being flooded out of my home There is a Security Guard on the premises overnight

There was moderate noise at times from families with children staying on the 1st floorThe continental breakfast reflects the impact of the pandemic with “pre-packaged to-go” items & belgian waffles are added on the weekend Be prepared to take breakfast back to your room due to very limited seatingThe waffles & spinach & cheese omelettes were delicious!!The only issue I noticed was this location promotes deep sanitizing but it wasn’t evident in the room(s) I stayed in So glad that I brought my own cleaning products It wasn’t horrible so I didn’t bring it to management’s attention & just chose to sanitize things myselfOverall, my needs were minimal & the few requests that I made were quickly fulfilled I was just glad to have safe shelter from being displaced I would be a return customer if needed Forgot to take photos
