This is an older hotel, that has not been significantly updated It was much less expensive than the local competition The place was clean and tidy

We had a pet room, which was on the second floor so we had to walk up, but the entrance was not far from our room The room smelled fresh No dog smell or perfume smell to cover the dog smell The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable The bathroom was small but the counter had ample space on each side of the sink The breakfast was sufficient with eggs, link sausage and potatoes, and none were over cooked plus the other typical fare The drawback was The only ice machine was in the lobby We’ll stay here again

I was initially put in a room with non-functional AC unit The staff moved me too another room where the AC worked for a day In an attempt to no be a nuisance I left the AC off thinking maybe letting it rest for a day the issue would not persist

I was wrong I went to the front desk and was informed the hotel was fully booked and had to just deal with it…it was in the nineties and the second floor had no AC so it was hot to say the least Overall the place was pretty dumpy I wasn’t told there would be no housekeeping so I had to ask multiple times The room wasn’t cleaned a single time in four days The staffing issues aren’t why I gave the place 1 star It was really just the state of the hotel in general for the price I paid I could have paid another $30 a day and stayed at the Hampton and now I regret that I didn’t

Lana Luhm

Hair dryer didn’t work No coffee at breakfast No forks at breakfast

Had to try and eat a waffle and sausage with a spoon Check-in guy not very friendly Needs updating Charged more than what was quoted at time of reservation WORST OF ALL, sheets were stained and long black hair on one of the beds Obviously, the linens had not been changed from the previous customer GROSS!

Nice clean hotel All appliances work in the rooms The breakfast buffet is well stocked and clean

Pool and spa are clean and in good working order Most staff are friendly Stayed for a week Would have been 5 stars Only negative is they did not clean, empty trash, nor restock towels or other amenities for the entirety of my stay By the end of the week, I was definitely ready to leave for cleaner pasturesWould have also been nice to have trash service and clean towels at least 1 timeYou can ask the front desk for towels, shampoo, soap, etc However, I feel you should not have too

Kelsey Kraft

Me and my fiance were there for a week due to a family emergency and our room was only cleaned once and that was after I went down to the desk to complain, then the next day first thing in the morning house keeping barges in and wakes us up, we NEVER had the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door during our stay The breakfast was barely edible given that they have no kitchen in the back, only a microwave and everything is processed such as powdered eggs and cereal We’re better off going to the Hampton down the street given that they cost the same

Tara (owner/operator/host when we arrived) is in the wrong business He should be running an academy for Host Welcoming conduct and Customer Satisfaction/Delight He could not have been more helpful and delightful while remaining unpretentious and honest

Breakfast (classic continental) was excellent and very well maintained by a dedicated staff person Room was almost meticulously clean and we were greeted by a cute note from housekeeping Rachael (check-out) was also warm and congenial This venue has high ratings for a reason while maintaining a reasonable price point Would definitely stay here again

Super 8 in Sheridan Wyoming is a great place to sleep if driving through If you’re planning on a longer stay you may want to consider upgrading hotels The hotel itself is old but fine for the price

The carpet, bed spreads, and general common areas could be cleaner, but the sheets themselves were perfectly fine They even have a bottle opener built in on the sink The toilet paper is honestly better than some I’ve had in far nicer hotels The A/C in our room was blasting cold Very nice to have in mid July The breakfast is lacking but ever since covid that doesn’t bother me too much since many hotels still don’t have any at all You get what you pay for here Nothing more nothing less

Deanna Mavrogeorge

Stayed for work Upon arrival to the room I observed a small blood stain (looked fresh) on one of the bed sheets and oily spots on the opposite beds set of sheets I immediately brought this to their attention and later that day my beds were changed and freshened up

The hotel is on a busy road and right by a train track If you’re a nightshift worker just avoid this place all together I will not stay here again

The Earth Stars

Right off 90 in Sheridan, Wyoming

the room was nice and spacious The breakfast, which is from 6am to 9am was pretty decent There was a lot to choose from (waffles, breads, cereal, yogurt, milk, juices, fruit, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, ect) and the area was clean and well stocked There is also a nice workout room (no kids allowed) as well as a pool We were tired from traveling so we didn’t swim or workout There are also a ton of places to eat (fast food and sit down restaurants) near the hotelsome are even within walking distance Overall it’s a very nice place to stay

Craig Holstedt

The people who work there are very nice and worked hard to please The only reason I didn’t give this place a 5 star rating is that the shower stall door was poorly designed (and possibly installed incorrectly) so no matter what we did we had far too much water on the bathroom floor The maintenance people tried to adjust it but it didn’t help

The manager didn’t disagree, and said they had been waiting for the proper seals for nearly a year What they did was give us extra towels and bath mats to try ro soak up the water, which was a fair and reasonable effort I would still go back to this motel

tiffany wilkerson

Marriott Member – Always choose to stay at Marriott’s because we like the consistency of the rooms and finishes The lobby and eating area were great and the check in process was also great Three stars because upon check in our room had just been cleaned and stunk of something horrific

Like a vacuumed cleaner bag had not been changed in year or something not quite sure Also, the King bed was a hard as a rock – hated that! And the pool is literally tiny like an oversized hot tub and there was no hot tub Disappointment! Breakfast was ok / typical For the price of the room I expected a lot more

The moment you enter this hotel you are able to get lost on your way to the check-in desk as you are confronted with a huge indoor open lounge space bordered with game rooms, office space, restaurants, pool, and message boards [I’ll admit I took a right turn instead of going straight] I saw a Grandpa playing foos ball with his grandkids another slight turn of my head there were families in the pool, and couples relaxing in the lounge area I spent a long day on the road and checked in around 8pm

The staff at the front were extremely kind and helpful and did what they could to ensure I was taken care of in the short time of our encounter Their in-room coffee game is a little weak admittedly, but if that is the only downside to this hotel I’d say they’re doing alot of things right I definitely recommend this hotel as a stop for families and even the weary traveler who needs some extra regeneration time before hitting the road again

One of the best hotels! The rooms are very clean and well taken care of You can tell the staff has paid attention to detail with little touches in the room most chain hotels lack Each room is named after a person Buffalo Bill knew, a wonderful way to tie into the rich history

The staff was very kind and attentive and helped assist us in all of our needsThe rooms come with breakfast vouchers for a restaurant across the street Such unique and delicious food!!The kids appreciated the experience of having real keys to open our room It’s rare to come across that these days!

RRC

Absolutely gorgeous historic hotel! If you want to stay at a piece of frontier Wild West history- this is definitely the place Rooms are unique and well appointed, hotel is immaculately clean, cozy, and front desk staff (Connie ☺️) were very welcoming! The rooms – Beds are insanely comfortable, the bathroom with walk- in tile shower -wow – a little coffee nook with seating area in our Roughriders room too! The hotel is conveniently located not far from Main Street Sheridan, you can walk or driveWill definitely be returning next year, as a stop on our travels

What a Gem! A+++

What an amazing historic hotel Each room is unique and most are named for a person of prominence from Western history Each room has a bathroom but if you want a shower versus a handheld with a claw foot tub, make sure to request it! It’s close to the highway and downtown

Only an hour drive from Bighorn National Park, truly worth the visit

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service received at this Hampton Inn We are traveling with a small dog and researched pet-friendly hotels before booking in Sheridan Upon arrival we were told that they were, in fact, not pet friendly but they would allow our dog to stay for a $75 fee

The front desk was beyond rude about communicating this and there was no manager available to discuss further We were told that we could pay the fee or stay somewhere else…at 9pm! There was no place else to stay Upon meeting the manager in the morning, she was extremely rude and it was clear why her employees acted they way the did the night before For a place that advertises “It makes us happy to make you happy” they fell extremely short At least they could have been kind and not advertise pet friendly if they are notUpdate: an hour after checking out the GM called to let us know that we should have known that a pet would be charged because “that’s how hotels work” even though it was not listed on their website, nor was it included in the room charge when we booked We stayed at another hotel two nights ago where the fee was $20 so the $75 felt egregious They showed no empathy or kindness in this situation

Deborah Henry

They are not dog friendly! They did not disclose there is a $90 non refundable fee for a dog Other Hampton Inns don’t charge this much and mostly the fees are refundableLost my business!!! La Quinta has a free pet policy and gives a 10% discount for bringing a pet – now that’s pet friendly

Matt Cook

Overall it was a good experience with a nice pool and hotub as well as the standard Hampton breakfast There were a couple of things that were a little frustrating The tub in the room we had drained very, very slowly

The A/C worked but was not consistent and did not get the room down to 70 where it was set The light in the bathroom was really dark making it difficult to see It was still good, though I would not hesitate to go back

Great place! Staff was amazing! We stayed in one of their pet friendly rooms to and from our destination as we were traveling with our fur baby Absolutely no odor of any other furry guests The only disappointment was when I spilled water and used one of the towels to wipe up the water and the laminate floor was very dirty! It will give us second thoughts of staying there again

Pros: room was large, had a kitchenette, mattresses great, desk employee was very niceCons: walked in and immediately was disappointed Despite the remodeling going on the entryway and lobby was very dowdy looking and in need of serious updates

Ditto with hallways Room was considered a remodeled room but it could’ve used more help Otherwise it was clean and beds were great My main gripe is this hotel does not serve a complimentary breakfast, even just Continental style This class of hotelAlways offers some sort of breakfast at least in my experience I’ve been on a 6,000 mile road trip and every hotel I’ve stayed on offered it This hotel is of the same class No, the website didn’t state that they offer Teak fast but it also didn’t say that they don’t Considering it’s typical in this category of hotel the website should state breakfast is not offered These days it’s easy to presume it is

Debbie Drives and Travels

They are under renovations but it wasn’t bothersome to me I only stayed one night but it would be a great place if you were staying multiple nights or on business The bed was super comfy

I had plenty of fluffy towels Of course the kitchenette was nice but I only used the fridge for a salad and carton of milk Since I’m camping around the country, I used my own cups and silverware But they supplied them It was satisfying to have the use of a toaster

Sites are a little tight if you’re staying in the park all the time However, this is an amazing place to explore There are historic sites, hiking trails, parks, and so many other things to do in the surrounding area

The owners do a fantastic job of keeping the park clean and green The restrooms/bath house were immaculate Great place to stay!

Bonnie Stevens

A very nice, very well maintained campground We stayed two nights and were impressed with the well manicured sites, immaculate laundry facilities and bathrooms The owner has a very active presence in the campground, walking around insuring that everyone is following the rules

The sites are a bit close together but we were traveling with another couple, so it wasn’t an issue being so close together We would return

Laurie Costello

Sites were extremely tight Neighbors picnic table was under our slide and could not open some of our storage bins, on the front side the other neighbors hookups were 2 feet outside our front door Don’t even think about putting the awning out there is no room

Some other sites were slightly wider but not by muchThe park was clean and we’ll maintained and sites were long and level

We gathered for a family reunion n Sheridan, and rented the banquet room for our meeting spot Many family members stayed at the motel as wellI cannot say enough good things about the front desk staff, Dan in particular

He was extremely helpful and accommodating to us The bartender and wait staff were fun and wonderfulThe complimentary breakfast was enough to take the edge off If you need more, than ordering off the menu is an option at a reduced rate (Don’t forget to leave a tip!)We rented a pet friendly double-queen room It was fine Nothing over-the-moon special We didn’t spend much time in there anyway! The only negative, and the reason I am not giving 5 stars, is I asked housekeeping to change sheets on one bed, provide a couple fresh towels, and do a quick vacuum That never got done Also, I am not sure the AC units work very well Everyone complained about rooms being stuffy

Evana Newberry

This review is for management and infrastructure related issues: It’s low due to the lack of maintenance and cleanliness our “pet friendly” room had compared to other pet friendly room/hotels we’ve stayed at over the last two weeksMainly my review is to share that while the sheets and linens were clean, (meaning the cleaning staff likely are doing the extent that the management requires and for which they are provided supplies) the carpeting had likely received no cleaning ever, and held a stench that I’ve not smelled anywhere other than when I’ve worked at dog kennels We nearly left due to the lingering odors in that room, except for the fact we had driven so far in storms we needed to sleep

Besides how filthy the room was, which, is NOT typical of pet rooms anywhere else I’ve ever stayed, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, the sink is leaky, the shower spews everywhere, and the exterior door doesn’t lock naturally, only with a chain and manually turning lock Best Western needs to tear that carpet out do a deep clean, replace some doors, put in vinyl for at least their pet rooms and do some routine maintenance on the facility If you have pets, I’d stay elsewhere, the pet room we had was disgustingAndfor service, everyone was nice and efficient However, it’s obvious the front desk person has not been given adequate training for explaining options for parking Each floor level room has an exterior doorwith associated very convenient parking Front desk person had us park on the opposite side of the building go through two doors, and walk (with child and dog and gear) quite a distance through buildings I would not be surprised to learn she’s not been given a walking tour of the facility and is paid only to be at the desk Literally the parking is immediately adjacent to the exterior room doors That was a nice thing about the stay

Noah Eash

The place isn’t that great Its alright for a one-night stay, but wouldn’t be great for more There is no elevator, some carpet stains and the place is a bit dated

I did not stay with a pet The beds are comfortable, and I slept well The air conditioner seemed to work okay, however it wasn’t that hot outside The rooms have a nice overlook of the pool Bathroom is also a bit dated The breakfast is a very small portion and wasn’t that great tasting, only having 1 sausage link, 1 overcooked egg, a few potatoes and a biscuit You would be much better off eating breakfast elsewhere Front desk staff were friendly and it’s an alright location There are better places to go in the area Two stars at best

enjoyed this “in-town” campground near Sheridan WY in town of Ranchester Easy access to I90 and gateway to Big Horn mountains Utility hookups clean and functional

Restrooms a little tired and could use caulking but water pressure and functionality just fine Sites are nice – quite tight, lots of shade trees Residential neighborhood on one side, Main Street a block away Gravel and grass Well maintained Price commensurate with facility I would definitely return and stay there again Also connected to a fun restaurant with breakfast options There is train and highway noise, but it did not disturb our sleep or enjoyment of the park

Dean Garrison

Nice small RV Park, in a residential neighborhood Totally handled by email/text for reservations and check-in Half the park is long term, the other half for travelers

Great place for a one night stop, as there isn’t much to do around there Although there looked to be some nice hiking There is a stream nearby, so the mosquitoes were out in force in early July Walking distance to dollar store They also have a little restaurant for Breakfast and Lunch It is expensive though, ~$30 for two lattes and two small pieces of Quiche Sites were cement strips, pretty level, but I had to put boards under one side Showers and restrooms were clean and pretty good The WIFI was good The area was quiet, although there are trains that run nearby
