This place exceeded our expectations The cabins are very nice, made well with lots of unique touches and furnishings We stayed in cabin #4

I would have preferred a cabin by itself instead of a duplex but surprisingly we barely saw or heard the neighbors during that time Only complaint was that the hot tub was still out of commission due to covid Would totally stay here again

Fran Frutos

Charming fairy house like cabins… When I first saw them I was in AWE and every one of them is unique from the others Welcoming greeting at the front office by an Irish looking man which adds to the charm Every time we have gone I look forward to seeing him and it’s fun seeing what cabin we are staying at next

These cozy cabins allow closeness with the family can be hard to experience with our fast paced lives I can’t wait to return to them and unwind this year

Christine

They advertise, on hotels com enhanced cleaning & social distancing, contactless check in but not true Our cabin was not that clean & they advertise providing a flashlight & they don’t so you will need one

The 1 bedroom cabin is small, not for child Stairs too steep No hot tub is or ever will be available Only cooking is on barbecue but bring charcoal The place is in disrepair & not as nice as advertised The only sink is in the bathroom which is wrong Doing dishes in the bathroom is just wrong The bed is comfy with lots of pillows If you stay in cabin A be advised, there is a storage area under the cabin We found this out the weird way Not friendly or accomidating & a lot of false advertisingBy the way our visit was 1/30, 1/31 2022

I stayed here three nights in 2 different rooms The first, I stayed in the corner room where I had a view of broadway out one window and Bullard out the other window I switched to a more modest room after the first night, but that room was great also

The decor of this 140-year-old hotel is remarkable The staff is amiable They helped me arrange a shuttle to the airport It was a great experience

Douglas Capps

Awesome historic hotel with very comfortable furnishings The young man who checkedus in was extremely nice and accommodating Offered to show us the room we wanted straight away without our asking

I especially liked the street level suite because it was so convenient to unload our stuff The towels are nice and plentiful to go along with a huge bathroom and nice shower If you are lucky enough to get to Silver City — The Palace Hotel is your place!

Lance Walter

The Azurite Suite is huge, clean, and a beautiful mix of modern convenience and nostalgic charm The Palace is located right downtown with breweries, restaurants, bookstores, art studios, a park, shops, the local co-op, and anything else you could want in easy walking distance Robert is friendly and accommodating and feels more the perfect host than a hotel manager

The Palace is the perfect home away from home for a visit to the Silver City area My only word of caution is come early on a Saturday because lots of the shops aren’t open late

While I was not a guest staying at this hotel I have have 3 outstanding experiences here over the years My family came to celebrate the life of a loved one we lost and had many family members stay here We were welcomed to use the lobby and eating area to sit and chat for hours

The hostess Brandi McCully even made a fantastic recommendation for a restaurant that could host our 25 person party It’s so special to have a place to go and just be welcomed Definitely would recommend folks come stay here!

Patricia

We stayed in the Holiday Inn on our USA road trip from Liverpool EnglandWe had excellent service from the young lady on reception called Angelica Rodriguez, she was so helpful friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble for her, she is an asset to your reception teamOur room was clean, fresh, and everything worked as it should, breakfast was a bonus, and we were ready to hit the road after a good nights rest in a great hotel 10/10 and thank you

Andrew Madden

First of all I stayed two nights, free, through the IHG Credit Card This will not influence my reviewFirst of all I had to wait way to long to check in as the only person at the front desk prioritized a phone call over me

This hotel is in serious need of a renovation The elevator is very jerky and has a rough ride The door to my room didn’t have a good seal when shut, but still locked fine The a/c never really cooled off the room Woke up several times because I was hot Never was able to get their chromecast to workBut in Silver City it’s the best hotel if you don’t want to spend a lot on Bear Canyon or the cabins in Pinos Altos

I read the reviews before getting a room I always give a place a benefit of a doubt even though it had lots of bad reviews! I agree with it all It does need a lot of help and all the bad post is true but here’s my deal

You pay $60 a night!! I gotta checklist met Clean room/bed/bathroom Hot water and tub We ride on a Harley all day I just need a place to bathe and sleep after a long day of ride So if your looking for fancy go next door and pay twice the fee or be grateful it only cost less than $60 bucks for a place to sleep🥰 As for the staff I didn’t meet them but my husband didn’t complain so that’s a good thing BTW— we always check the room before we book!!!

lobby was a hot mess of people and crying toddler (all staff), the property is very run down our room had no towels, wash clothes, or bathmat

no soap no trash can no fridge had to ask for towels etc, soap and trash can key card was FILTHY! Crusty junk all over it floors not swept or vacuumed laundry still being done when we checked in – 2 hours after allowed check in time – no ice in machine sink RAN, not dripped, hot water too hot to wash hands shower dirty, the entire room was broken down and dirty had to ask for bath linens twice as laundry was not ready for some time reported running sink twice 1st time the staff told me we wouldn’t be charged for running sink HA! no kidding 2nd staff person regretted asking me how the room was she said she’d put a work order in for sink very noisy at 2am sketchy folks hanging in parking lot no staff at 6:15am the following morning, so no coffee staff arrived after 7am with toddler and made coffee police in parking lot following a womanthis location needs some new staff stat! I overheard staff talking about something “going bad” and her co-worker told her “it had to be refrigerated” other staff spoke of having to go behind a worker who had cleaned to clean again no sanitizing surfaces in tub/shower are so rough they can’t be sanitizedI do not recommend this location at all! spend a bit more and go next door to Comfort Inn

Amanda Manalang

I would give this a zero if possible I pulled into this hotel while traveling with alone with my 10 year old son Safety is most important to me

I saw a police office in his car sitting on top of the hill pointed down to the Motel 6 Something felt off I pulled up the the office and the bottom of the office door was broken and covered in plastic You could tell by the people milling around the back building that this was a place people also lived I didn’t feel right getting out of the car so I pulled up to the top of the hill to talk to the officer to ask if it was safe to stay here I let him know I was a mom traveling alone with my son He said absolutely not! He strongly encouraged me to stay somewhere else This hotel has lots of safety issues! I am grateful he was there Do not be fooled by the updated and clean looking photos online This hotel looked nothing like the photos online I do not normally leave reviews but I feel it is important to share this in hopes of helping someone else not make the same mistake

We really enjoyed our stay at Silver City RV Park We liked that it was near everything; easy access to 180 and 90, easy walking around town, and yet not in the hubub either The bathrooms were clean and spacious

There are trees for shade in the RV park There was a nice balance of long and short stay spots The wifi is a Hotspot When timing a trip, lots of galleries and shops closed Mondays and some on Tuesdays

Sheila Kofahl

I made a quick trip to Silver City for a 5 day class at WNMU I stayed here, and it was LOVELY! Gordy helped me with my reservation, and Laura helped me check in Laura was so sweet! Gordy was so helpful on the phone, even when I called during his lunch break

😊 I found the park to be quaint and homey, flowers in planters, and it was clean and quiet The bath house was great- also clean, I think every time I used the showers, all the waste baskets were empty, counter clean and just perfect I will stay here again if I can come back

TAMMY WALKER

Booked a weekend back in July, but had a family emergency

park refused to issue a refund because it was outside of the 7 day window, even though the booking was made a day before I realize there are rules, but exceptions can be made, for special circumstances Because of this, I will never book with them and I have spread the word, and will continue to do so, to all our RV friends to steer clear of this facility

The owners are great, very accommodating and friendly The dinner they provided as part of our weekend was awesome, pulled pork, potato salad, pinto beans and corn on the cob, plus an array of desserts The RV Park is very clean, well organized, and absolutely great! I can’t say enough great things about this place! If we ever get to Silver City again we will absolutely stay here

Thank you for a wonderful stay, Ben and Robin Gonzales

Manzano’s is terrific – the setting is peaceful and the owners John and Barb are wonderful folks We came expecting to spend a month or so in our camper while we looked for a house in Silver City That month ultimately turned into more than three

During that often stressful period for us, John, Barb, Karen and the other people at the park, many of them repeat visitors, were kind and helpful The weekly, free delicious BBqs, cooked by John, were fun The park is clean, surrounded by nature, convenient to local attractions, and full of lovely folks Highly recommend

Sandra B.

This is a small, about 25 site privately owned campground The owners are VERY nice and live on site This place is very clean, with full hook-ups

We had site #1, which was a super long, private pull-thru site If you come here, try to come over a Saturday, since the owners do a wonderful BBQ in the awesome screened in gathering place This campground also has laundry and a private full restroom with shower if needed It is close to town with restaurants, shopping, and groceries nearby Excellent RV park to use and explore Silver City and surrounding areas

It’s safe to say that as a collective whole everyone I went with loved this placeThe ambiance is awesome, It’s nostalgic and everything that you would expect The art Deco vibe is cool

The staff was amazing and funny and very warmThey had a nice continental breakfastTheir location was perfect in downtown, everything was in walking distance which was nice especially for traveling and you no longer wish to drive for the nightAnd the rooms were a nice size, the bathrooms were nice and everything was very clean! It was a really great experience and when we travel again we’ll definitely be stopping by for the night

Noe

Pros: Excellent location in the heart of Silver City Had a corner king room which was large with a great bed A/C was small but kept the room cold and comfy

Pleasant front desk staff Cool art deco feelCons: Lack of daily housekeeping, dirty lobby bathrooms, no hot water (mild at best) from the shower in the mornings, in room lamps and fixtures could use some updatingOverall good stay in a local landmark hotel

Bones Delacroix

I have stayed at the Murray twice over the last two years, and I have enjoyed both of my stays tremendously I love the art deco style of the hotel and I am glad they kept the design during past renovations The rooms are quite the throwback to the 1950’s in terms of style

The beds were comfy and housekeeping does an excellent job with the cleanliness of the rooms There is a light continental breakfast to enjoy in the morning with a variety of teas, juices and coffeee, as well as pastries and cereal My family and I have had hassle-free and pleasant check-ins and check-outs Thanks Murray for the memories I hope to stay again one day soon
