This was a great place to stay! The location was great for our visit; we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go The rooms were really nicely furnished and clean The employees were really friendly and helpful

Our view was great We got breakfast from the restaurant and ordered off the menu instead of getting the buffet, which I think was the right move The food was great!Overall I highly recommend this hotel

Stephanie Z

We recently have stayed at several Holiday Inns and I have to say, this one was very nice Recently renovated rooms (although our bathroom was quite small and tub outdated, but clean), friendly front desk staff, and the shuttle driver offered to drop us off or pick up from downtown if we wanted Parking was on-site and convenient (spaces are tight but what one would expect for a parking garage)and the location made it easy to walk downtown

I recommend booking a room with a view of the bay Great views!

Robin Field

Overall had a pretty good stay at this hotel The staff I interacted with were all very personable and nice, and went out of the way to make sure you felt safe or helped you if you needed something The room I stayed in was very clean, and stocked with supplies as well

The pool area was also very well kept The breakfast in the Port of Call was also inexpensive and tasted good! The only things I can note as possible negatives are the ongoing construction they are doing between the hours of 9:30 AM to 5 PM, but if like me, you were here to vacation and explore, you most likely aren’t in the hotel for these hours where it would be an issue, but something that should be noted Due to this construction parking in the G2 level of the connected parking garage is very difficult, but there is another connected parking lot if that one is full/no spots are available Otherwise I have nothing but good to say, and recommend for an incoming traveler!

The property is centrally located Easy to drive or walk into Portland or nearby dining options Plenty of free parking on-site

The breakfast has a good selection of the conventional stuff – waffles, cupcakes, bagels, muffins, cereal, boiled eggs, etc Hot beverages and cold water are available 24/7, which is a huge positiveGiven COVID-19 protocols, turn down service is only for guests who stay longer than five days However, you can always get fresh towels and linen Trash just needs to be kept out in the corridor and get new bags from the front desk/housekeeping cartThe rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable, the pillows not so much The also gave us a pretty good crib and our 11-month old slept well It is an old property but maintained well There was good water pressure in the shower The toiletries are also good and Made in USAThe staff are prompt and courteous

Stephanie Chase

Conveniently located near the center of town, which was handy since we were going to a show at the State Theater The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean I do have complaints thoughThe bathroom in the room was clean overall, other than the hair monster in the shower drain

Beds are a bit too solid The pillows were the worst I’ve ever used my entire life They kept getting really flat Even scrunching them up with my arms didn’t help They sounded like they had popped bubble wrap in them The continental breakfast had good choices for older people Need to have more options that appeal to teens and children, like pancakes, waffles, french toast, bacon, scrambled eggs Variety was pretty good otherwise Fitness center is nice as are the lobby and patio area Staff was helpful and friendly

Keith Lowe

They do not clean room’s daily and you have to leave trash and dirty towels in the hallway Rooms where clean, staff friendly and it is located within walking distance to the Seadogs ball park and to adult use dispensaries Denny’s is also within walking distance

Not a picturesque place but I was there for work I never got to try breakfast because we left before 6 am and breakfast wasn’t served till 6:30 Worth the price in my opinion

A perfect hotel! I had to stay overnight due to a blizzard The hotel was amazing, making sure my room was awesome, and the billing was handled properly They had plows working through the night to clear the lot, but they never disturbed my sleep

Hotel was so clean! And everyone I interacted with was beyond friendly The free breakfast was also pretty good, they had many options to choose from The suite itself comes with all the kitchen things you might need for an extended stay

Homer Hunter

My family and I have only ever stayed at Residence Inn hotels because of its One/Two bedroom Suite option This was by far the WORST one we have ever occupied This is our first vacation in two years and we have a room that smells like pet urine

The bed is insanely hard and our room is right next to the basketball court so imagine trying to relax in the evening and constantly hearing the bounce of that d*** ball from about 6:30 to a little after 8!! I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone Wish I just paid the additional $400 and stayed downtown For what they are asking, SO not worth it and definitely not three stars Won’t complain about the lack of breakfast options because I am assuming they are keeping in light and prepackaged with a COVID mindset I did like the gym (used the treadmill and weights) The pool is closed with no opening date but again believe that is a COVID precaution

Jay Gordon

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment I stay at Marriott properties often so I am pickier than most First, the pool was closed

After investigating, there was small print in the App stating this but it was buried This was disappointing The rooms are locked at 68 degrees for the AC so the room was not cooled all the way Our room did not have a TV remote so we had to unplug it We will look for another Marriott next time

Very comfortable, great amenities Staff are like friends and always very willing to help The pool and hot tub are amazing

The rooms and halls are kept nice and clean and there is always breakfast Lots of choices in the morning New york times papers to go with the breakfast I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling

Peggy Struna

The staff at the desk were excellent! The room cost us $315 for one night, and no AARP or AAA could be applied because they told us it was the last room The bathroom in the room was dirty, mold on the tile in the bathtub Shower head is old and does not adjust

No shampoo, only 2 conditioners Air conditioner was extremely noisy Went to use the jacuzzi in the pool area – jacuzzi was pretty good, but the whole room where the pool and jacuzzi are located was so hot that you could barely stand to be in it Had to open the room door several times to bring in some air conditioning Also, by the jacuzzi was a very large vent on the wall, completely rusted out The tile area around jacuzzi was also not clean In the main lobby dining area, light fixtures looked liked they hadn’t been cleaned in months, with a thick coat of dirt and dust on them It is the little things that make a place shine This place does not shine, it was way over priced for a place that is not well groomed or taken care of The staff was the best amenity at this place We will return to Portland, we will NOT return to this hotel

Amber Parshley

Came in mid-March for one night The room was cleaner than I thought possible The bed was comfortable

I loved the bathtub, as well as the TV The pool was warmer than was comfortable, and there was some dirt in the hot tub The pool and hot tub were also hard to find I found plenty to eat at breakfast, even with my restricted diet I walked to the mall from the hotel Despite the pool and hot tub issues I had a great time at this hotel, and would come again!

Fantastic experience here Staff was friendly and welcoming Room was clean and well-ventilated

Common areas were well-kept and the artwork throughout was cool to see Their garden was a great place to hang out and meet others We also walked to Eastern Promenade as a group to watch the fireworks over the harbor and the hostel even cooked us food and gave out drinks This hostel is very conveniently located too The overnight parking garages are expensive- about $50 a night, but that is no fault of the hostel of course Had an awesome time here, one of the better hostel experiences I have had in the US They do a great job running it Some cool shirts for sale too Will definitely stay here again

Luke Himes

I recently came to the hostel and was told they only had one room left but that it slept 4 They said there were people who called and showed up frequently after so that it would probably be booked up quickly if I didn’t want it It was called a “private room” but in reality it was just 4 bunks in a room with a bathroom that was advertised on the website as being only for that room but instead shared it with another dorm

I was leaning away from it but asked if they’d be willing to give my number to any guest that might stop in looking for a room They said they definitely would and they thought the odds were high that someone would be willing to split some of the cost of the room for stay in one of the extra 3 beds Wary but convinced, I got the room with the expectation that they’d get at least one person still looking for a room After no calls in a couple hours, I had 3 friends attempt to call the hostel over the course of several hours to ask for accommodation Not a single one got any response I then walked back to the hostel and couldn’t find an employee at the desk at all At this point I realized they had booked out everything and so just didn’t have any incentive to respond to newcomers I gave it 2 stars because the hostel was clean and in a good location but at the end of the day, the way a person is treated means everything in the hostel industry and I was lied to in an attempt to sell the last room

Caspar Jacobs

The hostel itself is very nice, especially with the lovely backgarden in which to hang out and relax The facilities are all in perfect orderMy one complaint is the attitude of the hostel

In the ‘welcome’ email, there was a whole list of things you could get fined for I understand a fine if you lose the keys, but a fine for accidentally sleeping in the wrong bunk bed seems ridiculous It felt a bit like a really strict school This continued in the hostel itself, with lots of passive-agressive notes everywhere In the bathroom it said: “do what you need to do and GET OUT!” Not very welcoming In the kitchen there was a note saying that you had to keep meal prep to five minutes or less, not sure if I can cook anything in less than five minutes! Fortunately no one bothered me when I took a bit longerOverall it feels like the hostel expects the worst of people even though the staff itself was very friendly This didn’t impact our stay very much but I would like to leave it as feedback to the hostel to see if a more positive approach would also work!

Start with the positive The staff were great The room was reasonably clean and location great

Room spacious and accessible (parking too) The hotel itself as a brand was disappointing given the over $300 per night we paid for two people The room is very minimalist and this should support minimum costs It didn’t There was a single chair for two people, beds that moved and we e hard As a long term Hilton Honors person, I seek you out for consistency and quality I got less of both with this stay

CHIRAG PATEL

absolutely amazing! the hotel was clean and colorful, the front desk staff was excellent, the breakfast had options, and they had a little store up front with plenty of options for last minute needs the room was very spacious and had great design features, such as an area under the bed to put your luggage, and a desk that rolls under the TV table so it isn’t in the way and, it is only a 5 minute drive to the airport

Haley J

The hotel is very clean and modern, large tvs, good pressure in the showersHow ever, when booking- I paid extra for a room with a King bed, when I checked in they said they had sold out the kings, but “no extra charge for a queen”- I never received the difference for them switching my room Also the woman at check in was incredibly rude

Good hotel aesthetically, the staff was less than desirable

I am a traveling nurse During my stays, the hotel was clean and quiet I love the little kitchen

It is well stocked with kitchen items you need They even have a hot plate you can use The bed is comfortable I check in and out online and use the digital key so have not dealt with the front desk staff so I won’t comment on that One weekend I forgot my sound machine (I work nights) It’s so quiet, I didn’t miss the white noise at all I highly recommend this home away from home to my fellow traveling nurses! I won’t stay anywhere else

Randy K

Everything was clean Room was modern and had everything I would need for my stay Breakfast was typical for this chain, workout room had enough for a light workout

Has laundry machines on site but I did not need to use on this stay Staff was friendly I only needed to stay one night before my return flight home Please read all reviews and evaluate

Kamal Bhattachan

Horrible experience in my life ever I booked too queen rooms with the kitchen I am traveling with 3 kids and my wife

I woke up at 1 am in the morning with some itching in legs and my back First I thought it was mosquito bites but the itching got worse and I checked to make sure if there were bed bugs I looked online to verify and sure it was bed bugs and there were quite a few under the mattrees I called the front desk immediately and she says first we can offer new clean sheets and declines to give me another room and tells me they are all booked We had to call several times and the housekeeper guy comes in to the room He took some pics too I am terrified cause this is my first experience with bed bugs and I have 3 kids and I was very worried Finally they did switch me to another room but me and my wife could not sleep all night I have bites all over in my torso, legs , forehead I still have itching and bites The night staff told that there was no manager on duty and he will come in 10 am We wait until 10 am and the morning receptionist tells us that she is not sure when he is coming? What a joke, how can a manager be not called even at night in this situation? So she gave us his number and would promise that he would call us on Monday but never go a call back I am health care professional and i should report to to the health department Such a horrified experience and dirty place that no one should stay here The housekeeping guy who cleaned the room at night time with bed bugs is serving breakfast in the morning too?

We checked in on the 26th around 5 We checked out around 7 and spent more money to change hotels We didn’t feel safe The room had a terrible odor of smoke and mold

There seemed to be a lot of people just standing around the parking lot There were burn holes in the carpet, elevator was non functioning by and just overall, not a good place to stay Spend the extra money for a nicer place

Mark Barber

Sketchy people around out side of hotel and they were also roaming inside I am fairly certain they were not staying here The back door was held open with a 5 gallon paint bucket

Not safe Most of the lobby was full of tv boxes and was a mess I guess they are renovating but they should have closed if you can’t pick things up Shower drained very slowly so you were in a puddle Elevator did not have permit in case No trash can in room, also the lobby smelled terrible We had the two full bed rooms and there were only two towels in each room We had three people and registered that with the reservationThe literal only plus was the staff at the desk was polite I know Portland is expensive but this place was highway robbery for what we were charged

Convenient location to the Portland Airport in Maine and quick shuttle to boot Hotel looks to be recently renovated with some work still in progress Right now the restaurant doesn’t open until 5pm, so don’t plan on it for any lunch time meals

The manager reception starts at 5pm as well and you can order food to sit in the lobby area while enjoying it (I have found other embassy suites that don’t let you do that)Staff was polite, attentive and helpful I had 1 issue with my bill and it was fixed at the front desk without any problemsThe rooms are clean and the staff seems to do a good job of sanitizing Bed was good as well but the pillows were a bit to soft for me Luckily I had 4 and was able to make it workOverall I recommend this hotel if you are in the area

Scott Swearingen

I stayed here for 2 weeks in a king suite and it was great! The rooms are nice and updated It felt very clean and the staff was always helpful and friendly The breakfast options were consistently good and the omelet chefs were on top of their game

Location is conveniently right next to the jetport, yet was very quiet Would definitely stay here again

Dylan Cavallaro

Stayed back in January 2022 but it was such a beautiful excellent place The hotel was cheap and quiet but had such a beautiful quality to it The room was clean and bigger than even expected and made for a person little getaway for us

The front desk was helpful and helped give us recommendations of things to do The breakfast was delicious too and high quality I wish we were able to spend more time here but we definitely got our money’s worth Definitely a place to remember and if we ever head back out to Portland we will be staying here again!

We stayed at this hotel with our team for a baseball tournament The room was clean and comfortable You could tell that the front desk was short staffed but it didn’t take away from their customer service one bit

They were pleasant and accommodating, delivering on everything we asked forI enjoyed the welcoming lobby and outdoor seating areas very much We had some down time over our 4 days stay and it was nice to have spaces to sit and get out of the room for a bitMIKE C was FABULOUS! He was constantly checking in and making sure we all had everything we needed, going above and beyond what I would have ever expected Thank you, Mike!

Lynn Lambert

My husband booked this room for one night (I would have left after one night if it were more) and I have to say I’d rather have stayed at a Best Western for the experience We had It would have been cheaper and probably a better night The staff were friendly and helpful, let me just say that

If it were solely based on customer service this would be 5 stars all day Having said that, the beds were not comfortable, it felt like we were sleeping on a pullout sofa I am pretty easy going when it comes to things like that but it was bad Secondly the walls are so thin! Make sure you are not near anyone super noisy because you will hear EVERYTHING I felt like I was in a night club until 11pm, called and asked the front desk to ask them to turn it down Happened just enough so I could fall asleep,, only to be woken up for round 2 heavy music at 2am Called the desk and was told the walls were thin but would handle it An hour later back to the music blasting So having said that, if you want to stay here maybe sleeping on the floor will be better for your back and bring ear plugs because if you have inconsiderate people near you, you will hear everything

I cannot give this place more stars!! From the moment I got on the phone they were so helpful in finding us a room that suited our needs and even more Very clean and well kept rooms Spectacular view of the ocean with a great pool available as well

There is a cute little breakfast spot attached that I recommend as well This is definitely a place we will be coming back to visit

Rob Andrews

These are definitely two star rooms One air conditioner for a two bedroom suite that cost nearly $300 a night Yes the beach access is great but the entire hotel is dated

I don’t mind paying a premium price for a beachfront hotel but when it’s the middle of summer and you have busted controls on a air conditioner that is nowhere near large enough to cool the entire suite you’re overcharging for a barely comfortable room Would not stay here again

Ricky A

Great location, walking distance to several great beach bars and restaurants Multiple properties, stayed at the main location right on the beach 20 ft walk to the beach! Beach chairs available for rent, just need to make a deposit

Close to the pier, but far enough so you don’t get the noise Highly recommend for a week or weekend getaway

The location of this hotel is amazing, and you’re surrounded by tons of stores and shops They accommodate you with a shuttle drive to nearby places which is very convenient and kind The front desk staff are great and the shuttle driver is super sweet

I won’t ever forget the warm cookie, or two that I normally get when I’m here A great hotel stay Comfortable room and bed

I’ve never actually stayed at this hotel However, there’s a convention that’s held here every year that I attend/volunteer for and I don’t know man, I think we gotta give some serious props to this place for always being a fantastic venue The ground floor is very efficiently set up and easy to get around

And there’s a bit of a restaurant near the center of it that I always enjoy getting a burger from every year

Lisa H20s

Accommodations were top notchstaff top notch!!! dine in restaurant was awful!!!! Do not order the fish n chips

absolutely a frozen product we serve the same exact product at the chain restaurant I manage howeverfor $20 a plate they should be ashamed you can’t just slap it on some “newspaper” and send it out with prepackaged tartar sauce call it fish n chips however the staff was incredible considering they were short staffed and overwhelmed they made a special meal for our child that wasn’t on the menu (grilled cheese) definitely go backbut definitely eat elsewhere

What a find! Linda was such a lovely host Making the booking and the check in process was easy The room and house was so thoughtfully decorated and the entire place was immaculately clean (super important these days!) but the cherry on top of the whole experience was a delicious home cooked breakfast in the morning

We felt very welcomed and wish we were staying longer

I had an Awesome stay at the Fleetwood B & B— didn’t want to leave(I was on my way further North)I felt completely at home💜I walked into Old Port for Lobster (the long way around Back Bay)— I took an Uber back👏) Linda is Super friendly & her hubby—even watched the Ballgame in the Living Room

Bed was very comfortable & good air conditioningThis house is historically BEAUTIFUL!I would highly recommend at least 1 night stay— 2 or 3 would be better to explore Portland

Very intimate place Only reason for 2 stars off was had a family death and was trying to cancel plans Out of all our hotels, they didn’t cancel

We even said we had proof of death but said it was against their 14 day policy We ended up going which was nice and it was close to the beach, definitely a good option The house is older though and creeks Plus many bathrooms are shared (ours was in the kitchen)

I very much enjoyed my stay here The room was very clean and well maintained We were on the third floor and the stairs can be a trek, if you’re a smoker or like to go outside periodically just to sit, I would highly recommend you request a room on the ground floor

It has a nice little patio area in front to eat your breakfast and a small smoking area in the back Make sure that you book a room with a private bathroom unless you’re a family who intends to take up a whole floor The price was reasonable for the area about 249 per night

This is my favorite hotel, maybe ever! A beautifully renovated building, maintaining the integrity and ambiance of its history Well appointed and decorated rooms, very comfortable beds and pillows, and amenities to meet all one’s needs make it a most pleasant stay Check-in was warm and welcoming while also efficient and informative

Breakfast had many delicious choices served in a simple and elegant manner This is a wonderful place to stay!

This hotel is extremely cute with so much character It felt like something out of a movie The free breakfast, cookies throughout the day, and coffee/tea were nice to have

My main issues with the hotel are the location isn’t ideal (about 25 min to Old Port), not all the rooms have a private bathroom in the room (mine was down the hall, others have to share), and the room itself was really tiny without even a closet For a solo traveler it is fine, but if you’re more than 1 person, get one of the bigger rooms with a private bathroom or look elsewhere

I was up through the night either freezing or hotI went to the night clerk and told him what was up with the a/c, his answer to me when the room gets too cold the heat kicks on ??? ( this was a thermostat issue)The stove top in the kitchen was filthy, dirty dishes in the dish washer, the white coverlet I noticed in twas discolored with a yellow castI was there for one night and arrived around 8 pm went to dinner and came back to room around 10 pm

I didn’t notice the kitchen and stained coverlet till morningThe breakfast was lacking would have been nice if they served bacon or sausageI paid $27000 for a lousy night stay

Not sure why there are complaints; this is a nice hotel Price was about on par with what something that’s NOT Motel 6 runs these days Our room was clean, (and YES it had a bathtub??) beds were comfortable, and the staff we dealt with were all pleasant

One minor issue was the A/C making wheezing sounds all night but again, a minor issue We made use of the salt water pool which was very clean (We were there for over two hours and had it to ourselves) Free shuttle from and to the airport was great We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was good although the menu is small

All Adds

Overall it was very nice The room was very clean and quiet with comfortable beds and linens A nice big smart TV that you could watch comfortably in bed, and a nice walk-in shower

Location is private and quiet The staff was very friendly and helpful The restaurant was not so impressive, drinks were very average and food was not hot enough

We stayed two nights for a wedding Attention should be given to the guest rooms as well as bathroom supplies in both guest rooms and common bathrooms The rooms are dated and not as I would expect of a Sheraton and the price

Obvious struggle for adequate and knowledgeable employee service The two bugs and one worm in our bathroom was unexpected in a Sheraton Our room was on the handicapped floor but the rise of the ramp floor created difficulty for more than me to maneuver The room door is narrow and heavy for wheelchair accessibility The height of the marble stoop on the entrance/exit to the room makes getting a wheelchair over it difficult We ate two meals in the restaurant and were pleased with both the food and the service The activities of the wedding went well, but, again, a shortage of staffing was evident for set up Over all, we enjoyed the event
