Conveniently located across from a Walmart, next to a Burger King and a bowling alley! Clean rooms, Polite staff willing to help out even if you forget you door keycard in the room locking your self out 🤦‍♂️ I have stayed here 3 times and the only negative I have is , there was a problem with the in the shower and sink in the bathroom Will go back

The staff, Jill, upon arriving was very friendly and accommodating The next day, she helped me with a problem that could’ve been avoided had the previous “morning desk-clerk” for a lack of a better word, had been more observant about what she was doing before she caused concerns It caused all sorts of confusion for both me and Jill not to mention the hour I waited on the phone trying to work with Expedia, who was my third party reservationist

I understand that not everyone loves their job, but I am a firm believer that before you confront someone of an issue, in this case, being kicked out of the hotel after 1 night when I reserved 3 nights, the clerk should carefully review all documents before making such a dire decision Spirit Lake was at its peak and to be told that I had to find rooms for my friends and I last minute was not something I wanted to deal with while on vacationJill was super friendly – handled arrivals while helping me sort out this confusion with Expedia It turned out, Super 8’s morning clerk was not paying attention to the paperwork She tried to hand me a receipt for a room I cancelled months ago rather than a receipt for the 3 night’s stayOh well, everything worked out well, and aside from the smell of the room, it was fine Breakfast was decent and the fire pit outside was nice to sit at Jill was super professional with not only myself but with arrivals who were not happy about not having any rooms open

What a beautiful area! Their garden is so calm and inviting with a waterfall feature and a gazebo where you can sit and listen to the frogs and crickets in the evening King bed that was so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and brought to our room where we are on the patio and enjoyed nature Owners were very helpful with where to go to eat and what to do in the area (our first time here)

Note that we know this is here, we’ll be back!❤️

Having our own Select Registry B & B in western PA, it was so good to be pampered by Bridgett, Bill and their staff! We came for our nieces’ wedding which was beautiful and well done What a beautiful place, the only Select Registry B & B in Iowa The grounds were immaculate (I forgot to ask Bill how they keep it up!) Too bad we couldn’t have stayed longer and checked out more in Okoboji! Breakfast was delicious! We compared notes and picked up some additional pointers! Us B & B owners always want to make the guest experience to be exceptional (and it was here!) Definitely recommend you check this place out!

I love giving 5 star reviews to places that absolutely deserve it Family owned business, very friendly and accommodating, clean rooms that are well cared for, nice deck off the back of the single queen room I’m in, and a nice breakfast to boot with a to go bag available by 530a I missed a photo of the quiche I had for breakfast, but it was excellent like the rest of my experience here

Thank you Bridget and Bill!

Great cabins right on the beach They’ve got a couple of docks you can fish off of, as well as boats for rent The store on site is an added plus as well, selling fishing supplies, pop, water and beer

They’ve also got branded apparel for sale (t-shirts, sweatshirts, cookies) There’s also stores within a 15 minute drive if you need something else The people working there were very helpful and assisted us with fishing

TheDude

The place is starting to get a bit rundown I would love to see them remodel and invest some money into upgrading the cabins The price is ok, although we could see outside through a seem in the bathroom wall

I have been there 5 times so far and may return as long as it doesn’t get any worse

Super Comfy Bed! Very clean hotel Courteous staff Bed was Simmons Beautyrest World Class Felicity II Super Pillow Top Plush

I would stay again just for the bedWe stayed on a Friday night in January for $86 ($77 + $9 tax) Breakfast was fine: waffles, cereals, oatmeal, various pastries, yogurt and hard boiled eggs There’s a nice seating area for breakfast with a gas fireplaceCons: There is no pool here, though we know that when we booked The fitness center is bare bones with not much more than a treadmill and cheap elliptical; we didn’t necessarily care since we weren’t planning to use; just sharing in case that’s important to someone reading this review

Johanna Severson (alohaJohanna)

Unsure of what the hotel is like But, I had made a reservation and canceled it (according to policy) three days before I was supposed to stay there I was still charged for the room and the manager blamed it on the new staff not knowing what they’re doing

Eventually it all got sorted out, but this could’ve been easily avoided with better staff communication Not fun waking up to a negative account because of someone else’s mistake! I’m glad I didn’t end up staying there because who knows what else would’ve been messed up

I was really quite proud of the review I wrote on Yelp but leave it to themto disallow me from cut and paste-hence

if you want my full review and pictures check out my review dated 7/24/22 but here is the cliff’s notes version-*spotlessly clean*heavenly comfortable bed*space to spread out*this is the very definition of do one thing very well-HIGHLY RECOMMENDNo stairs but maybe this is a suggestion not to pack so many shoes? I like shoes so I hauled my bag up like a boss!Didn’t try the breakfast but someone passed me by with a plate they were taking back to their room which looked appetizing

Becca & Nate Thomas

Prior to our arrival, the hotel staff was accommodating in assisting me with a special request John helped us get checkin and was very friendly and attentive When looking for recommendations for activities and restaurants, he was very knowledgeable and even provided us with several pamphlets of information

The room was very nice and clean The grounds were quaint and well kept All of the staff was very friendly! We would absolutely recommend this hotel!!!

The food here was very good and the service was also excellent The prices however I felt were too steep Just shy of $40 for a kings cut (16 Oz

I believe) of prime rib is more than I’m willing to spend Maybe it’s the inflation? Either way, I feel everything cost too much, from the beer, to the steak and everything in between Bring your first born as collateral if you want to eat here

Went to eat early dinner with my dog We were seated on the patio and the atmosphere could not have been better!I was a little nervous about eating with my dog there but the staff and environment was absolutely friendly and welcomingGood food, views and excellent service! I will be returning

One of our rooms was supposed to have a full over queen bunk but it was full over full

made it kinda inconvenient But we had lots of couch space for people to sleep We had a 4 bedroom condo and a 2 bedroom hospitality suite but only got 10 water park passesthey tried only giving me 8 It should have been 12 (2 per room6x2=12) we had to buy 6 additional No frying pans in the hospitality suitewe were done cooking breakfast by the time they brought us some No extra toiletries, not enough for 17 people between the 5 units Water park closed down a few times but we brought enough games to keep ourselves busy We REALLY appreciated that they kept on top of keeping kids out of the hot tub! Fun arcade, friendly desk staff Resort is kept up pretty well Loved the layout of the hospitality suite, plenty of room for all of our guests to gather together, loved having the lawn outside the room to use as well

Nichole Thompson

We get to our room and our keys don’t work So we called over and let them know and after awhile they took care of which we appreciated Walking into the room it was underwhelming for what you’re paying for! The bunk beds weren’t even made!!! Walking in the shower the curtain smelled of mildew

The place hasn’t been dusted in who knows how long I wrote the date in the dust on the microwave it was so gross! The kicker was, you have no information in your room about amenities, room service, pool hours, check out times nothing So the next morning it was really nice when the housekeeping crew walked in and didn’t even knock I’m glad I at least had a towel on The water park is nice, but defiantly old I just expect when I go somewhere and pay those types of rates your room would at least be clean and the beds made They probably should remove the “resort” from the name

Tyanne Johnson

We liked the house we stayed in that was part of the resort It was very clean, and very spacious to fit 10 people It came with every amenity except shampoo and conditioner

There was a in unit laundry room to do laundry and a pool near by Great location within walking distance to restaurants and the water park My only suggestions are that we should have been given 10 bath towels if the house is supposed to hold 10 people Obviously we can do laundry but if all 10 people go swimming they need a towel to dry off with It is like a modular home too so it is made with thin walls Sleeping upstairs meant waking up to people talking in normal voices downstairs when I should not have been able to hear them But overall it was a good experience and I would go back again

Super clean, cute layout It’s not right on the lake, but it is relatively close Friendly staff

If I had one minor complaint it would be that the water smells a lot like Comet (the cleaning product) and has a slight chemically taste, however I don’t think that’s a reflection of the hotelI would definitely recommend it for a quiet, comfortable stay

Jenna McKee

Rooms were nice, seem to have been renovated in the past probably 10 years Slightly dirty in certain overlooked spots such as above the windows and inside the door frame Breakfast was spectacular; waffles, cereal, yogurt, Bagels, fruit, juice, coffee

Seem to have had a new worker training and she was a little slow but still pleasant Pool and hot tub were open, clean and functional Nice patio set outside with firepitsOur favorite part was the location Close to everything we were wanting to do A few minutes drive to Arnold’s park and even less if you just wanted to go to the boji store Easy to find too, as it’s on the main highway running through town

Linens good, towels mid level but good condition, not threadbare like some placesTV selection average, sports & movies basic

The hotel is very nice (but a little dated) Its location is ideal, our room was HUGE, and all around, it’s pretty clean The bar and the meeting space for the wedding reception being right there was awesome

I’m most impressed with my experience after I checked out though I live all the way in Kansas City, and I got home, realized I didn’t have my Apple Watch, and started panicking I wasn’t sure if it was at the hotel or not, but I called and asked for them to keep a look out for me Housekeeping found it, the front desk employee wrangled up a charger (it was dead), and called me back the next day to ask for the code to make sure it was mine They then agreed/took the time to mail it vs me having to drive almost six hours each way Thank you, thank you, thank you, Arrowwood! A+ customer service We will be absolutely be staying with you guys again next time!

Bar D Stables

Rooms were clean and average in appointments The bed was too soft no l for my liking but you can’t possibly please everyone The toilet ran unless the handle was jiggled, and hourly was addressed after we left

The bar manager was very friendly and accommodating Our large group returned after dinner and asked if they would stay open later, normally they close at 8 I guess Not sure why you would close at eight? Anyway, they remained open for us, but one bartender didn’t seem too pleased I wish I had the managers name, she was fantastic, thank you Continental type breakfast was average at best The waffles you had to make yourself but were very good once you were able to get the lone waffle maker The eggs were atrocious, I had better ones in the army while in the field in a thunderstorm The sausage was good however and the muffins were pre packaged and OK Coffee was typical hotel fare The staff was friendly and very helpful The pool not on the friendly list Wasn’t easy to get to first of all Go down the hall, down a set of stairs, across an empty room, then up another set of stairs There you’ll find the pool After you work out getting there I found it wasn’t very relaxing Even the hot tub just mediocre My advice, don’t waste your time unless you have children and you’re doing it for them Then it would be worth it The pool area is extremely child friendly The location to things in the surrounding area is very nice, there are lots of things to do just minutes from the hotel

Mary Abbott

Mediocre room Dirty and stained comforter Toilet plugged the first night

Supposedly accessible room causing me to either walk a long distance (I am in pain when I walk) , or go down steps(more pain)Pool and spa was inaccessible for me to steps yet againYes, accessible room was required at booking 35 months in advanceContinental breakfast was very poor and food ran out Sunday morning

My family had a great experience with the hotel and all it’s staff from the beginning to end We are completely grateful and humbled for how much they went above and beyond for us We had a couple unexpected circumstances that happened and some of the hero staff members really came through for us! After checking out and leaving, first my young daughter noticed she lost a little cat pin she loved, we were still in town so went back to the hotel to look, the GM Summer J

was so nice and helpful to them they ended up finding it and my daughter was so happy it really made her day Then that evening after a long drive home I realized I lost one of my diamond stud earings out of my ear After panicking and just being completely devastated that’s it’s probably gone forever, I decided to call up to the hotel which was after midnight and reached a very nice over night staff member named Christian K He looked to see if our room was already turned over and it wasn’t, he offered to go up to the room himself and look to see if he could find it and he would call me back Just after a short time he called me back with the amazing unexpected news that he actually found it, noting it wasn’t easy but he did! I am beyond grateful for his efforts with this He assured me it was in good hands, he would pass it on to his next staff Member in the morning named Jen, which would get it to the GM to get it back to me After talking with the GM Summer J myself this morning she again was extremely nice and helpful assuring me it would be in the mail today! We can’t thank Summer, Christian and Jen enough for everything they did to get this safely back to me! We love this hotel and fully recommend them for not only a great comfortable, affordable and clean stay but the staff was amazing all the way down to the girls who noticed we were swimming and made sure there were warm towels waiting for us when we got out, and brought out more donuts for breakfast so we could have some too and made sure the coffee pot was still lit and warm for coffee Thank you all so much! You have no idea how much this really means to us!

Emma Morey

the hotel itself was absolutely fantastic clean and cozy the room had a nice fridge the beds were nice

however unfortunately for the hotel the only staff member we came in contact with was the front desk receptionist and she was a tad rude not sure if it was because of the way we looked or if it was because we are younger or what but most definitely avoided her after that first interaction

Cynthia A

The whole look of this place was definitely spot on when the roaring 20’s was chosen for the theme It’s nice and all, don’t get me wrong The small inconveniences of no microwave in their rooms (community microwave next to the ice machine on second floor), desk or actual table to work or eat on, looking out your window is most likely a view of the apartments building behind it or the homes around it complaints I have honestly

I wouldn’t complain at all about they at least serve coffee in the mornings considering they do have a fine dining eatery on the ground floor Can’t make everyone happy though, can ya

What a pleasant surprise! For only $94 per night this place is way better than other hotels that charge $140 or more Very clean Responsive staff, quiet, nice clean pool

Grocery store and other stores conveniently located right across the street so I didn’t have to do any extra driving Room was nicely air conditioned upon arrival (unlike previous night’s hotel where I arrived to a hot stuffy room) Good walkable location, not far from tourist attractions Definitely the best value I have seen in a long time!!

Front desk lady is racist Rooms were okay We came here for the Fourth of July weekend

My family and I came down for breakfast around 8:30am The waffle mixture was out when I asked the front desk lady she said they were out When a white family asked her about the waffle mixture she said she’d check if they had any and to our surprise she brought the waffle mixture out and replaced the one that was out Definitely not a good experience

Sean Patin

From the outside, you might be fooled into thinking this place is OK… but once you enter your room, you’ll quickly realize there is a lot lacking! First, there is a resounding mildew/mold smell permeating throughout which leaves everyone sneezing and coughing in short order Secondly, expect to have stained linens and receive little to no help in replacing them unless you walk them down and get a replacement yourself The replacement will also likely have a stain and you’ll just realize thats what you get here at the Rodeway Inn!I wish this was the last issue, but next up you have a bathroom sink that doesn’t drain, so shortly after using it you’re left with a full basin of water until the following day

An air conditioner with a replace filter light on for who knows how long, an iron that’s a touch away from falling off the wall, and some “stuff” on the floors that might be mouse poop…But like I said, that’s what you can expect at the Rodeway Inn

Hotel is getting a hair dated Some updates are being performed, been completed and need to happen Great value and good room

I am beyond angry! We stayed Ramada in Spirit Lake for 5 nights & our stayWas pretty miserableThey were putting carpeting in the rooms right by our room We had to walk around debris & trash in the hallway all week

The last night we were there, they were working on the room next to ours The banging on the walls & door was awful, the glue smell gave us headaches!! I asked for a discount for our inconvenience, since we were forwarded of any of this Sid said he would check on it & call me that day-he never did I was charged the entire amount & I’m extremely unhappy & angry!! We go to Okoboji every summer & will never stay at Ramada again The also had rotten bananas & very old pastries in the dining area-the entire time we were there!! An angry patron from Nebraska!!!

Cute room, fairly well supplied kitchenette was great, wish the ac could have been place under 72, overall everything considered if you’re up here you shouldn’t be inside for much more than sleeping Nice location, pretty much in the middle of anything drive distance we did Rented a pontoon here and the family had a blast with that

Has great fishing for the kids off the docks, swimming in the lake or pool, game room, etc Kids were fully occupied anytime we were at Triggs The part we found to be the most amazing was everyone here seemed to have frequented this location for years and most knew each other, the whole resort and people were super friendly and helpful! Hoping to come back!

Heather DeWit

We rented a pontoon and had a fantastic experience! The staff were extremely friendly from the moment we called with questions, through the easy reservation process and throughout our day of fun! The boat worked well and the tube was fun for the kids The rates were better than any other place we checked I seriously can’t say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were

I hope we get a chance to rent from them again
