Updated to add – holiday inn keeps apologizing for my comfort being affected This isn’t just comfort, it’s safety I have no idea what the fumes were coming from, only a blurry video my husband took while I was outside with the kids that shows maybe a can of paint thinner? It was something like paint thinner or a stain or varnish

It was certainly something that should have been done without guests in the hotel and with better ventilation I am not exaggerating when I say the smell in the lobby was overwhelming and I could already begin to smell it in our room shortly after they opened whatever caused the fumes I told the staff member at the front desk that I did not think it was safe for anyone including her and she did open the doors to the lobby The fact that HI keeps focusing on “comfort” and not safety is concerning The primary reason we left was for my family’s healthThis is horrible My family (including 2 young kids) was awoken by the sound of a sander Yes, you read that correctly I then toldMy husband that my throat felt funny and my daughter was coughing He said he felt fine so I thought I was being paranoid… until I smelled fumes Sure enough, they are staining or varnishing in the lobby right outside our room The smell is so overwhelming This is dangerous in general but could be life threatening for a baby! This is absolutely absurd

This hotel is very accommodating and convenient to many stores and restaurants in the area The staff were very accommodating and kind The young lady that checked me in went above and beyond

The renovations to the rooms are great I look forward to returning and seeing the renovations to the first floor The breakfast was set up in the conference, but that did not affect the excellent quality and the service from the friendly attendant

I was very surprised The front desk person when I checked in was very nice and allowed me to stay another day in the same room The motel was very convenient to a lot of restaurants, the room was very clean and so is the property

So happy that I was placed on the first floor because couldn’t access second level through the lobby The bathroom is very clean but the toilet is a little tight in there Overall, I enjoyed it and I would stay again First floor only! LOL

Nick Lopez

I like the blue & beige colors for paint so much better than bland brown Bed nice pillows are square I guess they changed this Not comfortable for me I prefer regular rectangle pillow

Breakfast is always good Had good hot water for shower Staff is nice and friendly Pool getting closer to opening A/C working All is clean Location good some restaurants I don’t see any trouble makers This up for this location

Very friendly and helpful We were able to find accommodations that were handicap accessible Free breakfast that included eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc

very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms We really enjoyed our stay My only complaint was that they do need more carts, there were only 3 and they always seemed to be in use Had a problem with a truck parking in a handicap spot that had no tag or placard in sight but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault

Darlene Talton

Enjoyed our overnight stay Rooms were excellent and very clean Got great service at check in

He was helpful when we ask for nice restaurants to eat dinner at He even printed us a list of restaurants in areaThe hotel breakfast was enjoyable and goodWould definitely stay here again

Room service is very spotty Sign says you can get your room cleaned on request However we requested it several days and got service once in a 6 day stay

Had to go to desk for fresh towels when neededBreakfast was fair but they close it up at 10am period Regardless of people in line 2 different days arrived at 945a and food was essentially out flipped the switch

Stay was mostly pleasant Hotel was clean, quiet, and staff was helpful Only issue was that they charged me a pet fee for my medical service dog (not legal, they’re medical equipment) and I didn’t notice until I got home because I got an email receipt and didn’t go over the charges at the time

We made sure to note that I’d have a service dog on booking the room and she was clearly labeled as a service dog

Lovely staff, all of them I encountered were professional but still warm and personable Pretty clean Dogs allowed-I could smell dog in the lobby a little but a worthwhile trade to me, but if you’re sensitive to it you will notice

Personally so long as there are no physical remnants I’m happy, and it was nice and clean Sink and shower drains a little slow, happens with older rooms, but the toilets were no problem at all Cozy interiors, AMAZING mattresses Room clean, odor free, thoroughly checked, and the worst I could find was the vacuuming could be a little more careful around corners It’s got to be a top notch resort to get a full 5 from me This was an excellent hotel I will be back, likely often

David Stoller

HiltonI made the mistake of choosing this hotel again after a bad experience before This time of course disappointed yet again I choose that there were 2 adults and a child

Yet all there was in the room was a bed and no pull out or couch even The digital key wouldn’t work and no one would answer the phone just like the previous stay I walk down to the desk and an employee is standing there right beside the phone I get a key and go in the room to find the sleeping issues On top of that the quilt is barely thicker than the sheet with very little warmth to it This was ridiculous I call to ask for a cot, of course they don’t have any He tells me there should be a pull out yet there isn’t He says he will call me back but never does 30 min later I call back to yet again no one answering the phone for 5 minutes I walk down and there he stands I ask about the issues of the cot and he says they haven’t been able to find one yet he is just standing there h another employee just behind the wall He acts like he is trying to find another room for us but isn’t actually doing anything for 15 minutes while I stand there I ask for a bunch of blankets so I can make my daughter a bed on the floor and he hands be 2 cheap rough blankets I ask if there are any comforters or something I can get to lay down and he says that is all he has I am beyond ill and fed up with this hotel and Hilton Honors I need to go to bed and I need rest for tomorrowThen they charge my card again and when I call about it they have a very bad attitude and talk down to me

David Harrington

Asked to leave the restaurant area due to having a service animal

Tried to explain that’s against ADA regs and the clerk asked what the regs say Well if you don’t know maybe you shouldn’t try to enforce an illegal rule Then he said I have an attitude OK even if I do you probably should keep that to yourself since you are in the hospitality businessI attached a photo of some of the regs so maybe the manager and staff will educate themselves Probably not but its worth a shot

I love this extended stay! It has treated me better than any Hilton has Excellent customer service from the time you enter I had no issue finding my way around

I was getting FRESH, CLEAN, towels and wash cloths without having to ask twice The linens on the bed smelled super refreshed which is A1 for me and my room, kitchenette and bathroom made me feel at home! 10/10 recommend!

I travel for work and have stayed at several extended stays This is one of the better ones, friendly helpful staff The staff is always going out of their way to assist in any issues I have even going so far as to help me chase down my puppy who had escaped the car when I was not looking

Rooms are large, spacious, and clean Great location with any amenity you could think of within a five minute drive

C Dun

So pool wasnt open Even though there wasn’t anything wrong with it When I 1st walked into the hotel they didn’t have my room ready The room they did get ready was halfway cleaned I’m pretty sure there was blood on the couch

Plus the staff acts like they’re scared of Order distrust black people, when most of their customers are black people How does that even work? The service here is not only lacking but also inconvenient ended up leaving early You can hear people walking above you loudly you loudly so sleep is out of the question I’m going to be honest with you I absolutely hated it here

I spoke with a online representative via chat they inform me to book Friday Saturday and Sunday even though I explained to them that I will be coming in late late Friday or super early on Saturday Long story short when I got to the hotel I had to get new reservations because Friday had already passed The representative made the simple change and gave me pointers on how to avoid the issue next time

My room was clean and ready for stay, I enjoyed my stay When I checked out the gentleman was very nice and friendly and pleasant

Leia Loveday

We booked over 10 rooms here for our National Travel Basketball team This property was not only gorgeous, it is nearby lots of nice healthy food options, the entire property was extremely neat and clean We had over 12 athletes and were a smidge sad the pool wasn’t open but it is just April 2022

We loved that they honor a rest & quiet time after 9pm We would highly recommend

Chandler

Hampton isn’t usually my go to Hilton brand, but this place exceeded my expectations The staff at check in were extraordinarily friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who’s name I cannot remember but started with an A She was so friendly and welcoming and made sure to give me all the info I needed for my stay

The hotel is newly built which meant everything felt clean and modern, including the lobby, pool area, and my room My room was large and had high ceilings which made it feel spacious and open The decor was basic but nice and the bathroom was clean and large as well My favorite part was the bed which was extremely comfortable and had the softest sheets, I literally slept like a baby I also enjoyed the convenience of this hotel being located just outside of Ballantyne with easy access to 485 My only complaints are that the faucet in my room was loose and kept turning the wrong direction Also, the walls are somewhat thin and I could hear my neighbors watching tv Otherwise, excellent hotel and I will definitely return

We had 1 night stay here The location of the hotel appeared to be safe, was quiet The interiors appeared to be renovated a few years ago, were polished and clean

Despite the COVID time, they were able to provide some hot breakfast The minor issue is that the shower water was not very hot, but was acceptable after turning the valve of hot water to the maximum (zero cold water mixed) Overall, I would recommend this hotel

Christy Morgan

Staff was exceptional, Shanta made checking in easy and was very accommodating The facility itself was pleasant and clean, some things may have been in need of update, but nothing concerning Rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was a nice touch

Paris the manager,,or assistant manager was truly agem and I’m so glad we stayed there

Owen Laurie

We had a reservation at another hotel and were so disappointed in the quality that we cancelled upon arrival and switched to this Fairfield location The concierge was an absolute sweetheart and helped us to secure a room for that night with outstanding service Room quality was wonderful, the room was even scented when we walked in

Very pleased with our stay

Very clean This is our second time staying at a Home 2 by Hilton and it was the consistency for me!Checkin was easy, we used our Hilton honors points and the stay was free for usThe counter space in these rooms is the best thing about them

You didn’t know you needed counter top space in a hotel until you have it The room stays cleaner, things are easier to reach, you have space to spread out items without laying them on the bed etc The drawers in the bathroom vanity are so so great! This hotel, like most, has switched to the in shower dispenser of shower gel and shampoo I’ve seen dispensers that were more attractive These dispensers do not dispense enough product per pump and would have preferred to also have conditioner available I appreciate the many considerations of the environment and opportunities for recycling

Should be a 35 but no option for that This is my second time here

I was here last year and loved it, this year it was not as clean, dogs everywhere this time, floors and lobby area were not cleaned well Room was clean, indoor pool area was clean, no towels Parking was tight for the weekend but to be expected Breakfast was decent Staff was hit or miss I had a great staff member I also had one that could be more professional not rude just not professional It’s a little louder that I remember from the outside noise but the area has built up around there Car wash and gas station right outside of the hotel Good place to stay not great

Samone Mack

This hotel was so nice We came in 12 am Saturday morning (7/30/22) and the front desk lady was so nice! Her name started with an A but I can’t remember it She was so patient and was great explaining to us after a failed reservation at a different hotel and being told other hotels were full

She gave us exceptional service and the other staff on the different shifts were just as good Check out was easy, breakfast was good, and the room was huge and clean I enjoyed my stay and I will definitely be back when I come back to charlotte!

Sleep Inn Matthews-Charlotte customer service was poorMy stay at Matthews, NC Overall Feedback:Highly Disappointed Issues include: 1

Toilet not working Wobbles when seated Runs continuously Requires long hold to clear the bowl 2 Towel ring separated from wall while reaching for a hand towel 3 Window had no locks which compromised room safety 4 TV worked intermittently Froze on a channel remote failed to work 5 Faucet loose during operation 6 AC not adequate for Charlotte humidity 7 Asked to change rooms and was told it was sold out when minutes earlier rooms were available on top floor 8 Room service never came today 7/23 to clear trash or provide fresh towels I took pics I am requesting a partial refund for this terrible experience I could go on and on but you get the point No lounge chairs at the pool so it’s a waste of a trip to the pool Continental breakfast was atrocious Don’t waste your money it’s not worth 5000 a night let alone the 9800 that we paid

Judy Orr

*Room not ready*Entire hallway blocked with shampooing equipment*only a half roll of toilet paper in room&overcharged for pet after indicating the change was for 1 night*Don’t slum here Go to a better neighborhood, newer hotel, better kept location

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in It’s right in the middle of Charlotte’s downtown and walking distance from highly rated restaurants and fun things to do like the science museum In the room we had the view was fantastic

You have to pay for parking but we didn’t need to drive most places because the location is so walkableEveryone we interacted with was very nice and accommodating You can tell that the staff are proud of the hotel At night they had cookies out and you can enjoy some very good free tea and coffee any timeThe rooms are amazing I stayed with my husband in the Premier Room, which has one queen bed The furniture was in good condition, very classy but not old There are charging outlets for different types of devices The TV was very nice and had a good sound system A few times I felt like I could hear my neighbors a little bit it wasn’t bad Also I love the shower It had a horizontal showerhead thing so you could get two sources at once Water pressure was greatSo yeah we loved it! Hope we can stay again some day

We had an early flight so we were only there for a short time one evening after driving from our home city, but the room looked nice and felt nice Only immediate observation is my husband didn’t feel that the provide JR Watkins bath products weren’t the actual product that was on the bottle It was nice that the location is right next to several shops and very close to food and gas station

I must say that this is NOT what I expected from a Holiday Inn Property First let me say that my room was clean, comfortable, and well attended But this Hotel it totally lacking in customer service

Upon arrival there was a line of 5 other parties waiting to check-in There were two employees behind the counter but only one attending to guests The other employee was on her cell phone Finally, after about 10-minutes the employee who was on her cell phone ended her conversation and began checking guest into the hotel From the time I arrived until I finished the checking in was about 20-minutes When it was my turn to check-in I was NOT greeted in any fashion or made to feel welcome The only acknowledgment was “I need your credit card and ID” After a few minutes I received what amounted to a two-minute lecture on “proper conduct” and the Hotel Quiet Time I also got a breakfast order slip and was told that in order from me to receive a grab and go bag breakfast I had to fill it out and place it in a tray at the front desk by 10 pm sharp, “Not 10:05” Then I was handed a two page “Welcome Letter” with my key The second page of the letter once again dealt with “Quiet Time” and was basically a written version of the lecture I had just received All of this before I even got to my room Once in my room I found it to be clean and well attended The bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well and served my needs However due to the total lack of customer service I will not return to this hotel on future visits to the Charlotte area

First time I’ve ever given 5 stars to a hotel but this one was excellent (and we travel monthly) VERY clean and updated The breakfast was not a huge buffet but sufficient, fresh and well made

We really enjoyed it The staff were very nice and friendly The keurig coffee bar in the room was a wonderful touch away from home Would only stay there when in the area

Brittani Sabourin

The staff was really friendly! The hotel overall was really clean There was a towel with possibly puke on it in the elevator last night, and still this morning But aside from that the entire place was clean

The beds and pillows are so nice! We were woken up at 2 am our first night with drunk jerks being loud, and then around midnight our second night with a group of people loudly trying to find a room Then this morning we had some kids screaming and being loud at 7 am So we didn’t get much sleep at all, but it’s not the hotels fault Only thing I recommend is changing up the breakfast a little Maybe sausage one day and bacon the next, or have some hash browns one day

chris miller

Fantastic from the front desk to house keeping to the people who run the cafe area in the Morning Great room clean , the manger should be proud of the staff Only thing that sucks is trying to find parking late at night

I would always stay in this hotel when I need one by far best in Monroe for price only thing I would change here is a tad bit faster Wi-Fi still good but it should be a lot faster for how good this place looks inside and out

Really nice hotel and staff The room was clean, well equipped, and quiet for a Saturday night The manager was very kind and helped me get a room when my flight was delayed and all the rooms in the area were sold out

Complimentary breakfast was also very good with a wide selection The room I stayed in also had a microwave which was very convenient

This is the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at We chose this location specifically because of the rating Rooms 216-219 are located next to openings above the lobby

You can hear everything!! I had to call the front desk at 11:45 pm to ask that persons in the lobby quiet down They did not do this of their own volition The hallway is also stifling hot in that location due to the openings Breakfast was very limited compared to other Hampton Inns and of a much lesser quality than expected Rooms were similar to other Hampton Inns, except the bathroom doors faced into the sleeping are instead of the entry That is an awkward placement consodering they are sliding barn doors and don’t close completely as is I would NOT stay at this location again

Was in town on business and stayed too late to drive 25 hours home, so, last minute, Hampton Inn it is My stay was great! Staff was great, hotel was in great condition, room was comfortable and breakfast the next day was just right to get me on my way

As a Hilton Honors member I’ve stayed at my share of hotels I’ve stayed at more than a few Hampton Inns and this one was by FAR, the best!

NASTY! Mold leaky faucets Filthy floors, mud

dead bugs dirt, cracked tiles holes in walls and this was a suite! Which we were upgraded to after receiving a key to a non smoking room that smelled like an ashtray There was only one good thing about this place, that was the front desk night manager She was very nice and very accommodating Another sad thing about this is it’s listed under choice hotels The only choice I would make here is to find another hotel I don’t regard choice hotel group with the same high standards is as before this experience

I’ve stayed here in this area of Charlotte for about 20 years I’ve searched for nice motels on sugar creek for about 15 years, believe me there hard to find in this area Approximately 5 years ago I found Rodeway the best find

I hit it off with management from the start( they care) Miss E and her husband Garry are the greatest people and the rooms are excellent I have the same room every visit 2 to 4 times a week, so I to do my part in keeping it nice it’s my home away from home The only down fall is the hotel next door The city needs to condemn this hotel or get new management that can control what goes on there When you step on the Rodeway property it’s a different world from the hotel next door I just sit back grab a chair a bottle of beer and watch the world next door I love this place, and very nice neighbors too

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was nice and accommodating The indoor pool is nice, along with the gym and bar in the hotel

They do not have a continental breakfast, but there’s at least 2 or 3 different restaurants in the same parking lot that you can get breakfast at I’d definitely stay here again! Close to downtown and the suburbs

Where to start! First off I’d like to thank the staff, especially Emma You made our short stay worth the 9 hour drive! The politeness to our children and making sure everything was taken care of for us Taking the time to check out each kid( individually, bc they had to use their own money) every time they wanted a snack 🤦🏻‍♀️ We appreciate your kindness and if we are in the area again will definitely be back to stay with you

Exceptionally clean, quick with requests, and the breakfast was delicious! The young girl at the breakfast station, I didn’t get her name, but my Starbucks white chocolate mocha was better than I’ve had at Starbucks ❤️

Matthew Greenbaum

The rooms and property are pretty nice The evening staff wasn’t particularly helpful during check-in He did not know how to link two reservations or enter a late check out, and he didn’t acknowledge Ambassador status

The day staff was more helpful, but are hamstrung by unaccomodating management Further, there is no complimentary breakfast

I absolutely love this place I stayed two weekends in a row! The first weekend I was extremely upset because I took my children to swim for the weekend and they were unable to do so because some kids bullying my son! Melissa came down personally to make sure my son was okay But MSLILLIE IS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!! She comforted my son and make him feel so much better and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed

It was only because of her that we came back for my son’s birthday on 4/16 our stay was way better this time around and we were looking forward to seeing her smile at breakfast! She is absolutely amazing and she definitely saved me as a customer because before her I didn’t want to stay there ever again!!!!! She is definitely and asset to the quality inn brand! We love MsLillie ❤️❤️❤️

Great price for the location to go to Carowinds The pool is alright, not very spacious but it was enough to satisfy the children We got the room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa, it was the most spacious room we’ve had for that combination in the last few years of taking vacations with the kids

Breakfast has a great variety!
