I slept ok but

quality control is definitely not a priority at this location First of all, I was barely greeted at the front desk I had to get the front desk workers attention when I was only a few feet awayNext, there was a strange smell in the lobby and hallwaysThe bathroom door handle was very looseThe shower curtain had a broken buttonThe bed covers had what looked like blood stainsStains on the Ac unitThe sink drains very slowThe window curtain was broken and just hanging from one sideIf you can look past these issues, you’ll be fine staying here In my opinion, they don’t care too too much about quality Felt more like a motel

Jade Samaniego

Our bed was hard as a rock My neck and back hurt this morning after staying hereWe were in a non smoking room, yet found a cigarette butt in the floor, so Im not confident in their cleaning

Breakfast was okay Decent selection

Austin Montana

This was the most interesting and most terrible place to stay So dirty Pile of nuts under the vanity and hair, hole in the wall filled with toilet paper, mold around the bath, nasty tubs, has a BAD smell everywhere

Found a pill in the floor, Alive and DEAD roaches and bugs in our rooms, woke up with one crawling on meDon’t come Especially with these prices Cant make this up, very nasty

I live here Management can be a bit abrasive at first impressionsAlabama Power drains the damn lake so low you can’t use the dock 6 months out of the year

Neighbors can sometime be a bit cocky It’s a bit expensive to be called a resort what other resort doesn’t have water 6 months out of the year? this one Oh and you better have your money ready! They want that dough I could suggest a list full of improvements needed to

West Geogia Auto

This place is amazing!! My church was hosting a youth camp and was able to bring the kids out for a day of fun in the sun From jumping off the dock to Jenga, this place is accommodating for all Definitely made some long lasting memories with the kiddos ( one kid stated that it was the funnest day he had all summer )Two thumbs up in my book

After all it’s all about the kids

Sandy Louise

Be careful it is beautiful there but dealing with Tina and DeLain Griffin is like dealing with the devil himself They lye, untrustworthy, despicable people you will meet Just talk to people that have been there for a while and you will find out

They have some property that a renter is trying to get cleaned up next to them and they choose to do nothing as usual but if they want you gone your gone Rent from anybody else but not McCaigs!!!

Clean, comfortable room and friendly staff at front desk What more do you need from a hotel when traveling? Oh yeah – Good coffee that actually tasted like coffee – not the usual watered down stuff served at most hotels! That rated the 5th starHubby would prefer potatoes with his breakfast egg, but he’ll survive

Christina T

Room was updated and clean The lamp on the desk and the clocks on both sides of the bed have electric receptacles aaaand charger receptacles, which was a very nice touch Great room at an okay price

Breakfast was okay I prefer hotel scrambled eggs over the microwaved “sunny side up” patty Fruit is gone fast, and not replenished Complimentary lemon water is available after breakfast, but not long into the evening They do have bottles of water for sale

Brooke Schipper

Stayed at this hotel last night 3/11/22 Reserved 3 rooms, when we arrived one of the rooms was occupied by guests that should have checked out at 11 that day The room was smoked in and trashed

The police had to be called to have the occupants removed The front staff was amazing and cleaned the room and we finally checked in at 1am I’m leaving the poor review because of how the manager Kelvin treated us the next morning We asked to get a couple of the rooms comped for the huge inconvenience and he stated we were trying to take advantage of him and stay in the rooms for free He was very unprofessional and combative and should not be a manger of anything that pertains to customer service

The staff was not very friendly when we arrived The rooms had no AC until you turned it on yourself when you walked in It was hot & dry inside, and it seemed like the towels and sheets had not been washed in weeks

Would not recommend staying here at all There was also a door between rooms We made sure it was closed & locked before we slept When we woke up the next morning, both doors on both sides were cracked, and our lock from inside our room was almost completely broken off Did not feel safe at all that morning & we checked out at 8am

Arthur Johnson

Main office is locked up tighter than Ft Knox Using window with tiny hole dark interior and disembodied voice Fill this out in five places

Sign here then sign this now this Here is key go around to leftWant ice? Bring a flashlight, it’s not lit and it’s located in an an outhouse behind the main building Unlit pathway Lord have mercy if your so afraid of covid close up and go home Ridiculous we won’t go back Room was clean no problem there, just plug in the AC/Heater

Blake Isbell

Good place to stay during the off season, quiet, great supply of food, drinks, propane, etc at the store, 3 boat launches, and numerous docks Spacious camp sites to accommodate tents or RVs and travel trailers 4 stars for being far too crowded, busy, and noisy during the summer season and no sewer hook ups

They do have a dump station but it is a pain to carry a portable gray/black tank back and forth during your stay

This RV park is very rural and VERY peaceful It doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles of other parks, but it met all of our needs We certainly enjoyed staying there surrounded by all of the peace and quiet

At night, I was so wonderful to be able to gaze up at the moon and stars and not hear even the tiniest bit of traffic or noise Yet, you could hop in your car and be to town in minutes to pick up any supplies you might need The quietness of this RV park was just what we were looking for after a long day of driving in very heavy traffic There was a dedicated area for your pets to go potty which was great The owner is such a delightful lady and very friendly It was such a pleasure to meet someone so warm and genuine on our travels 🙂

Deb MacNielsen

I have been following the development of Time Away RV Resort since before it’s opening in June 2021 We had not been to Alabama’s coastal area and Time Away RV Resort provided a great stop-over It was a pleasure meeting Nate & Alicia and seeing firsthand the development of their RV Park

Sites are level and long enough for RV and a vehicle Full hookups at all sites They’ve also added some nice features like the Veteran Hero Walking Trail More amenities to come and it’ll just keep getting better

Diane Ramsden

We had the pleasure of meeting Alicia and her husband when we stopped in for the nightBoth were very friendly and welcomed us with much information about their park Pool will be open soon, grounds are clean

Very quiteIf you are headed to Tallageda I suggest this is the place to stay, very close to the trackWe will be here for the race 🏁Wishing them much success in their new venture

My wife and I stayed there for about 5 months We hate that we had things come out way that insisted us to relocate We absolutely loved our stay in the campgrounds the staff Jeff And Jamie are amazing and super friendly

The place is beautiful and very peaceful Jeff and Jamie go above and beyond their jobs there at the park We will definitely miss being residents of Logan’s landing

My family decided to take our 16-year-old grandson here to celebrate his 16th birthday and from the moment we arrived we had nothing but problems My first hint that this was a shady place was when I checked in, they wrote down all my credit card information instead of processing it at the time of check-in My daughter was in C9 and I was in C2, both of which were between two full time residents

When I arrived and was setting up at C2, the property employees were cutting down a tree across the street at C9 where my daughter and her family were staying She simply asked if they were going to be through before her husband got there to set up and the rude young guy (the onsite property manger’s son) told her what he was doing was none of her business! We tried to move past that and let it go, but his mother ( the onsite property manager) and her boyfriend wouldn’t let it go In total we had five sites rented, two of which were considering leasing sites full time Not now! They’re in lies the problem, most of the sites are full timers and if you get sideways for any reason, they all vote to kick you out My daughter and I rented our sites (C2 and C9) for five nights and we both were asked to leave after the second night! The onsite management called the police to have us removed and the police said they could not make us leave at 11:00 PM at night But the next morning the onsite managers boyfriend came to our sites and told us we had 10 minutes to get our stuff packed then he was turning off the power and locking it out Needless to say, we packed up and left Word to the wise, never book and stay at a privately owned campground because if you even ask a question, or God forbid have a problem, they can turn your power off and leave you high and dry The police said they could not make us leave but they could not make them turn the power back on either My daughter and I both lost two nights that we paid for but they will not refund our money Not worried about the money but I am concerned about my grandkids and their parents having to load up and get ready to leave without power! Do not stay here or you might find yourself without power and having to leave with no good reason!

Me

Stayed in room 215 Overall its a nice motel A little expensive considering the hard floors, but it was clean and comfortable

Very quiet Not much in the area in the way of restaurants, but good for an overnighter Truck parking 4 stars because I had to use a towel to clean the floor in order to walk on in bare feet Otherwise nice Slept very well

I can honestly say that this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever encountered Don’t waste your time with this bunchWent to the website and it says pet friendly so I get my wife and dog and we check in

From the get go the lady is very rude but I ignore it ang get the room The next day at 10:40 this lady and her husband and several other people are pounding on our door and wanting us to check out immediately and are threatening to call the police if we don’t give them another $40 I laughed at them and begged them to do so and of course that never took place We were so rushed that my wife left her main bag with literally thousands of dollars worth of stuff in it and now they won’t answer the phone or do a thing It’s sad If you have a choice stay somewhere else Trust me ,This is a group of idiots, and that’s being too kind

Pat Mcdaniel

When we went into our room there was a bag of empty beer bottles in a bottom drawer under the tv There was dirty napkins in two other drawers

There was a plastic bag covering the smoke detector In the bathroom I sat down on the toilet lid to put socks on and the lid came off and I landed between the toilet and the tub on the floor I told the lady at the check out desk what happened and she didn’t even ask if I got hurt A hand towel was not clean, basically the room had not been cleaned I would not stay here again We will pay extra and stay in a nicer clean place😬

Matt Williams

This Motel, doors open to the outside- they don’t show you that in the pictures, is competitively priced and allowed pets which was nice because my dog and I were going backpacking at the Talladega National Forest which is super close The Mexican restaurant close by was pretty good The motel is in a Walmart parking lot which was convenient because I needed to go get air fresheners because the room smelled so musty and terrible

After an hour of walking around in the room my white socks were brown and orange on the bottom The bed seemed to have bed bug covers on the mattresses so that was a relief, but don’t leave any food out I did smash a roach on the bedside table in the middle of the night so I just left the lights on all night after that The towels actually seemed fresh and new and bright white Checking in and out wasn’t unpleasant Overall- save yourself the hundred bucks and sleep in the Walmart parking lot next door

Clint & Vixen (Middleton Household)

The staff here is super friendly and very accommodating The monthly tenants are quite nice except for a rather invasive, aggressive gossip monger with nothing better to do than ruin reputations Otherwise quite friendly folks and for the most part a fun, family environment with not much “rowdy” to have to deal with

Quiet times are just that and it can be a very peaceful and calming home away from home or full time as it is for me and my service dog, Vixen She loves it here and the ladies here love her ❤️So I definitely recommend checking this place out for a few nights or a few years!
