I was expecting a lot more after reading reviews…The first day we arrived I sanitized high traffic areas in our room (I have two littles who love to touch EVERYTHING) and looked everywhere Didn’t take long to doubt how good the cleaning was There was so much dust on the toilet seat and in between the toilet seat crack, there were small hairs in the sheets once I pulled them back, and before I knew it my daughters feet were black after walking on the carpet

My husband had bought some brand new white socks to wear with his outfit, and before we knew it, his socks were black at the bottom too BLACK I have never been in a hotel where we can’t even wear socks in rooms because they changed color like THAT It made me completely disgusted The lobby area is clean, but aside from that it’s a very very old hotel So the hallways are really dim, the elevator is squeaky and kind of beat up, and the rooms were also pretty out dated Furniture was rough, bed was hard, pillows sucked Didn’t try their breakfast because I couldn’t even imagine how clean they were if the hotel rooms looked like they didAside from that, staff was kind They weren’t the issueThey need to deep clean their bedroom carpets every once in a while & brighten the place up and fix all the cracksMoral of it all:don’t walk barefoot or with socks in the hotel room, clean and disinfect FOR YOURSELFPrice point – you get what you pay for, literallyDon’t recommend, and for sure won’t be back

This place was clean, quiet, not a single bug in sight, wifi was fast, and the water stayed hot for my entire 20 minute shower Met and exceeded my expectations The staff was friendly as well

The pricing is decent, $220 for a couple of nights Breakfast was also decent, nothing exceptional but I do appreciate the grab and go options for those of us who are still a little hesitant about buffets here in this plague year, and the coffee was good Overall would recommend!

Avoid Stay somewhere else This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for the prices they charge

The entire hotel is in poor repair The elevators don’t light up properly, they make loud clunking noises going up and down, and the insides have obviously been abused The room I was in was pitiful The carpets were dirty and stained My bed had body hair and stains caked onto the mattress I ended up sleeping every night on the couch because of how uncomfortable the bed was, not to mention concerned of sanitation I had an ant infestation on my bathroom/bedroom sink swarming around tooth brushes and medications bottles I’m pretty sure room service was USING my bathroom while I was gone As a male with short hair, I kept finding long tufts of dark curly hair on my bathroom floor and in my shower that weren’t there when I left in the mornings The front desk was very short with guests and started restricting their two free water bottles to one water bottle per day Overall it was just a bad experience I feel like I need to bleach myself after being in that room for a week

Stayed one night and will never go near this hotel again Shocked they ever averaged out to four stars Disappointed, Hilton

Do betterRock hard beds I weigh under 140lbs and couldn’t sleep through the night due to the pain Husband is a bigger guy who likes firm beds and he said it was worse than when he slept on the ground in AfghanistanLobby: light fixtures held together with clear tape right above where you wait to check in They did not have any water so I didn’t get my Hilton rewards check in perks Staff Sunday was nice enough, but Monday morning was horrible The girl was cashing a worker’s check for ages while we were waiting to check out Didn’t even acknowledge our presence We wanted to give feedback on the awful room but gave up and did mobile checkoutRoom: beds are horrible, see above Carpet stained and dirty Paint is covered in marks, dirt, and huge chunks out of the drywall missing Linens seemed clean, pillows were okay Bathroom door did not lock The latch was completely broken and would not turn Shower drain was broken and the cover popped off when brushed My husband’s heel fell into the drain as he stepped back because the cover popped right off He almost cut himself! Rust on edges of most the bath fixtures No place for toiletries in the shower so have to sit them on the floorBreakfast: eggs, bread, sausage, waffles, 3 cereals, one kind of yogurt Dry and disappointing Nothing to write home about No flavored coffee creamer Only half and half No decaf coffeeWill never stay here again and will warn all coworkers and friends to a different hotel when coming to the area for business or pleasure

Great hotel! I’ve stayed here twice, and I love it The suites are clean, spacious, pretty and have everything you need: full kitchen, bathroom, living area, and the most comfortable beds you could ever imagine! The staff is kind and helpful and the location is good, surrounded by restaurants and shops I love that there’s noise insulation in the rooms, so you can barely hear people in adjacent rooms, this is so important to me

Between that and the amazing beds, you’ll sleep like a baby! This is by far one of my favorite hotels ever, and it truly feels like a home away from home Thank you

Erika Contreras

First time to stay here and our experience was great Friendly service upon arrival Rooms were very spacious, comfortable beds, liked idea a sofa bed was included in room so were able to sleep even more comfortable a group of 5

Also they’re equipped with an actual medium sized fridge, microwave, dishwasher (didn’t use tho) Location here has great access to many restaurants, stores, everything you may need is close by Won’t doubt staying here again

Mark Tamulonis

All in all a great place to stay if you need to feel like your not in a hotel room We are new to the area and needed a temp place to live waiting on a house It was just what we needed

Large rooms which were clean, in room microwave and large fridge Sadly they did not have a cook top for my family but they do have grills out back to use Plus they have a decent breakfast bar every morning Staff were friendly and responsive You do have to request full service if you want your room cleaned They do thier best not to disturb the guests Would definitely stay here again

I always have a great stay here On this most recent trip, I finally decided to take down names and leave them a good review The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I specifically recall Delores, Ryan, and Mauricio going out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable

Brianna was my housekeeper, and my suite was cozy, clean, and fresh everywhere that I saw My family will definitely be back!!!

Julia Amburgey

Hotel overall was nice and clean Our room was definitely in need of updating and remodeling The outlets ruined our phone charger, the bath tub had a large water stain in it, and overall you could tell the room was in need of repairs

The bed was comfortable, and it was great for over night on our road trip with our cats, but I wouldn’t stay here again if I was in the area

C. A.

Giving this stay 2 stars and it’s really disappointing because we have really enjoyed most of our stays at La Quintas This one however is need of some attention The kitchen areas (we ended up staying in 2 rooms) were very worn and older

Our room was clean otherwise so we didn’t fret it was like no big deal we used our points for this stay The issue came during the evening when one of us walked into the restroom to several bugs (not sure what they were) crawling around on the floor and the more we looked around the more we seen as the lights were being turned on and for us this is a deal breaker!! We quickly moved our things to the car and called down to the lobby The staff was super friendly and apologetic and very quick to get us another room on a lot higher of a floor We still left our things in the car but at 1am moving rooms was the best option at that point We know these things happen and in warmer climates especially, we’re not unreasonable but there was so many we couldn’t have been the 1st complaint the room was clearly neglected and should not have been booked The photos are of the 1st room with the issue We will be attempting to get our points back and will definitely not be staying at this La Quinta in the future I would like to emphasize that this could have been a much worse situation if the staff wasn’t so willing and eager to try to make adjustments

Veronica Torres

The lobby was nice, the breakfast was descent but the room was dingy and dirty There were stains on the walls and the couch The restroom was dated and dingy

The ice machine had mold on it Overall the place just felt nasty and dated Even the exterior was dirty looking The staff were very kind, polite and helpful They’re basically the only plus side

The hotel is decorated nicely The staff was inadequate The hotel was not equipped

No towels when needed Not enough towels for the number of guests in our room No linens except the ones on our beds No roll out cots in the hotel The sliding bathroom door would not stay closed No water pressure in the shower Tried to check in at check in time and was told no rooms were ready The pool was cool, shape of Texas, however it was green waterThe food sucked! Milk was sour Apple juice was bad They were out of all condimentsI will never stay in this hotel again nor will I recommend it to anyone!

Heather Lee

Vehicle was broken into in broad daylight at 930am Hotel staff was less than helpful Due to safety concern especially for those that are traveling I would not recommend

Nothing of value was in sight to spark thieves interest We have stayed here before without any issues but will not be returning-not necessarily because of break in but due to the lack of concern/customer service from young hotel staff In response to the hotels claims the video was shown to us only in partial not given to us No one yelled at any of the staff and it is well within our right to post a review as any other customer can I also did not say that to the staff but to my husband The police were called and report was filed Detectives will be in touch with your establishment And thank you for blocking us as we had no intention of returning The benefit of San Antonio being a tourist city is there are plenty of other lodging options(many with a higher level of concern for the publics safety) Given the response from the hotel I am very glad this is a public forum so all possible lodgers can see what they may have to experience first hand and the manner it will be addressed Picture is worth a thousand words as they say and given the other poor reviews travelers be wary! Thank you for your concern vehicle has been detailed and window has already been replaced

First I have no clue why anyone would rate this place low It was perfect The staff was very friendly and helpful

Everytime we walked in we were greeted Rooms had plenty of space and was very clean Breakfast was great nice selection Lobby was very big plenty of seating Pool was clean and amazing Location was perfect easy on and off of the highway Just far enough from downtown where you don’t have to pay the extra money I highly recommend it

Birthday staycation ruined!!!I only come here for the jacuzzi tub But after sleeping in and being accosted at the door in my underwear I quickly got dressed and vacated the room

Upon checking out I was questioned if any smoking took place in the room, which I didn’t But that let me know how he intend to steal my deposit Sorry for being Black and liking the best you have to offer

We stayed for 4 nights and had a mixed experience Upon arrival the receptionist was fairly rude We came for a wedding, and the parents of the groom paid for hotels for the entire wedding party

However during check in we were told that although they had taken the credit card info of the parents, and that they had authorized payment, they still wanted the physical card as well as an “authorization form” In truth it felt like we were being stereotyped in a negative light, and that the receptionist may not have done this to an older white couple, but had no problem doing it to a young dark skinned woman and her partner We spoke with the groom’s parents about this later and they said that they’ve never had a problem like this before when pre-paying for their friends and family It actually upset them enough that they may cancel their Hyatt membership In addition, the first night we checked in at 2am, and thus had no reason to have the cleaning staff come clean the room the following morning However, the remaining 3 nights we did not put the sign on our door (which asks the cleaning staff to come back later) and yet our room was completely untouched and uncleaned Aside from all that the room itself was more than adequate I especially appreciated the strong air conditioner

Zac Johnson

André and Cecilia were quite wonderfully accommodating to my best friend and me She had a surgery and they saw us walking slowly across the lobby and offered a wheel chair promptly They gave us complimentary water as well

Unfortunately I was too tired to ever make it to breakfast The male housekeeper that I kept seeing on the 1st floor was always busy, everything smelled good when he was finished and he used wet floor signs responsibly The room was clean Great experience! Book them if you’re having elective plastic surgery in the area and need somewhere to heal

We were between two hotels in the area when planning our wedding, but we absolutely could not beat all the amenities that The Westin San Antonio North offered! Not to mention their ballroom is absolutely stunning! It was renovated in 2019 (and clearly didn’t get much use over the pandemic) so it’s practically brand new Ashley Wash was the best coordinator EVER! She was so communicative with us for the entire process and so helpful – all while managing the changing hotel ownership She provided contacts for vendors and coordinated with the vendors we brought in so well

She made us feel like family and made our reception so incredibly worry-free If I had to do it all over again (which I’m so glad I don’t), I would still have my wedding at The Westin SA North 🙂

Simukayi Nyakunika

This could be a really great hotel It has great views of the city and it is located right off of I-10 which is easy access to many parts of San Antonio However the hotel is very dated if you enjoy a popcorn ceiling this is a great hotel

The air conditioning filter was 2 months overdue from being changed and the room smelled like dust, you can see it coming through the vents For someone with allergies like myself it made it hard to sleep in this room I would not recommend anybody stay in this hotel until it has been renovated and brought into this decade

ji phan

Great hotel and great rooms Staff was friendly Upon check-in our party was told that it was free continental breakfast but when we came down the following morning they stated it was not free and that we would have to pay

We ended up going somewhere to eat It would have been nice if they told us that when we checked in and not when we were there trying to get breakfast

I expected this Sleep Inn to be similar to the one I stay at while traveling for work However, I was disappointed Expect nothing fancy

Clean enough accommodations and fairly priced This is ideal for just coming and goingBreakfast was very basic No bagels, bacon, or eggs It smelled a little musty upon entering The rooms are dated and worn This is a great location for Six Flags because it’s less than 5 miles There’s plenty of place to eat by this location I honestly wouldn’t stay again here

Natalia Carrizales

First room we got wasn’t vacuumed and the whole room smelled like feet The lady was nice enough to change our room to a different one but it was worse since it smelled alot like cigarettes although the rooms were “non-smoking room” Kids were excited to try the pool but it was dirty and the small jacuzzi pool they had was yellow

It has been the worse hotel we have stayed at

Veronica L

This hotel is one of the absolute WORST places I have ever stayed Between us we had 3 rooms The rooms were all dirty, the hotel property is falling apart and has a really bad odor

Our room keys did not work after checking in so we had to go back to the front desk to get them activated There were no linens for the sofa bed in the king suite When I called down to the front desk I was told, “If you send someone down to the front desk I’ll look for a few sheets” All we got were 2 sheets, no pillows or blanket The fitness center only consisted of a single treadmill, bike and elliptical The pool was nothing to be desired The worst part is the hotel isn’t cheap There are way better places to stay for the same money This place is a dump It’s nothing like the pictures on the website and the service is terrible Do NOT stay here You will be very disappointed

This Hampton was an okay stay overall Not too much stuck out in particular It does seem like the rooms are older overall – not so old that they need a complete overhaul, but familiar

Decent location by the highway, yet quiet We even had a 3rd floor room next to the elevator, but were not disturbed by any sound at all It is pet friendly and has your usual room amenities – fridge, TV, microwave and charging plugs Our room was clean Breakfast had a good selection of both hot/cold items, but I was unlucky enough to get an empty coffee carafe on the way out Lobby staff were friendly, and the lobby itself has modern decorWe did notice a few issues during our stay: the tub did not drain very quickly, and some of the moulding on the curtains was torn (see picture) Nothing earth-shatteringly bad, just stuff that could be easily improved or fixedOverall a solid stay that could be improved

This hotel and the staff were fabulous!!!! From beginning to end they did it all and made it wonderful for the wedding and it family The rooms and hotel were so clean, everything worked so well, the amenities were off the chart, the beds were so comfy and linens and the shower was even great We had a reception in the meeting room and they were overly accommodating

Great location too because lots of restaurants and shops nearby and not far from our venue for the wedding Would highly recommend it

My little family absolutely loved staying here and the staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome Everyone from Alexis at the front desk, to the cleaning crew, and the gentleman who was working the complimentary breakfast was so nice! They were always asking if we needed anything The room was incredibly clean and comfortable

While we didn’t get a chance to use them, the grounds were so lovely to just look at from our pool side room You can sit around a fire outside, play horseshoes, or have a picnic It’s a great location with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby, as well I would absolutely stay here again

This hotel is wonderful We were provided with a wheelchair accessible room The room was large

The bed, I would love to have that bed in my bedroom The bathroom was perfect for someone like me, in a wheelchair Again, I’d love to have that bathroom in my homeAll-in-all, our stay at this hotel was perfectWe lived in Spring Branch about 26 years ago None of that area was developed back then I think the developers did an exceptional job This hotel was awesome and it really fit into the surroundings

I would actually recommend this hotelThe only reason I won’t go so far as to rate it a 5 is the property conditionThere are a few things that need some replacing or addressing

Such as new curtains, properly securing the AC window unit and replacing the doors that had been damagedWith that said, I still stand by my rating The staff were professional AND very friendly I felt very welcomed They were also very quick to accommodate any issues that was addressedBecause the staff was so friendly and accommodating; I’m inclined to believe the other rooms are probably in better condition than the one we had

Will definitely return! Hotel from the outside looked kind of old but inside it was so nice Rooms were very clean Sheets smelled extremely clean as well! Front desk staff was very welcoming

Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the shower freaked me out, it squeaked so much & the floor moved around I was afraid the shower go fall The breakfast had bagels out to toast but no cream cheese available We stayed 2 nights & we didn’t get room service after the first night so we had to ask for fresh towels But I will definitely stay again Great area

Staff was amazing and very professional There is a few maintenance/upkeep things that need addressed such as better AC, curtains, and the most recent elevator inspection inside the elevator but the overall stay has been better than expected The jacuzzi in the room is a great addition

This will be our go to hotel every time we visit and will be recommending to other friends & family The location is perfect as well!

I just stayed there for 6 days I have stayed there a few times in the past and it wasn’t too bad It has gone WAY downhill since I was there last in 2018, I think it was

It’s under new management so that may be why It was so hot in all of the common areas, I mean really hot I met a guy whose A/C in his room was broken and there were no other rooms available so I am glad our air worked The pool wasn’t too clean It’s tiny too so if you are looking to stay at a place with a nice pool, don’t go there There was mold on the ceiling by the A/C vent The people above us must have stayed as long as we did and it sounded like a stampede every single night from around 5pm until 10-11pm We were there due to clean out our deceased parents home in and it was not a pleasant stay at all For 122500, I expected more but that was one of the cheaper places and was not too far from where we needed to be I will not stay there again

We are here currently and just waiting for the kids to wake up so we can leave Upon arrival, our room was lodged open by the latch, weird One of the workers did a very quick walk through to check it

When we got in the cleanliness was not up to par There’s very apparent water damage, but we assumed it was old and just not covered since it did not appear wet at the time The shower head has so much hard water build-up it was extremely difficult trying to get our kids and selves clean Most holes in the shower head didn’t work and the ones that did were spraying everywhere and felt like pins and needlesTHE WORST PART: The A/C turned off around 12:30 and never came back on Around 3am we woke up sweating NO A/C The thermostat is not turning on and no air since Apparently the hotel has no fans to offer either We FINALLY got everyone back to sleep (outside of the covers) around 5:45 Welp, a little before 7am there’s a tapping sound from water leaking out of the ceiling/wall If you are given room 203, do not accept it We should not have been put in here We will not be staying at this location in the future

I went for 2 nights with my family to this hotel I didn’t mind paying almost $700 because I saw good comments and it seemed to be a very good hotel The room was dirty, the carpet had food crumbs, under one of the beds there was a rotten tangerine and bottles of soda, also edible gummies

In the bathroom there was short hair in the tub and the toilet, the room did not have a good smell On the 2nd day of our stay I asked for the towels to be changed and they did not At check-in I was told that they would not do room service I do not recommend this Hotel to anyone This will be the first and last time I stay here I consider that it is very expensive for the bad service, from the attention, cleanliness and everything They excuse that due to pandemic times they don’t have staff to clean Quite expensive they charge and they should provide a better service

I share this experience as it will be useful to improve, since the hotel has many possibilities to receive 5 stars but most importantly they need to return to attention to detail and cleanliness, We are still battling with the Covid-19 pandemic and Cleanliness is paramountThe rooms were noted to be poorly cleaned with stains and dust on furniture, dirty hallway areasBathrooms need remodeling

On the other hand, I wanted to highlight that the breakfast service is excellent A+, it is observed that they prepare it with love and the breakfast area looks clean and organized and has a good presentation of the food The exterior and lobby look presentable The staff very attentive and diligent It was sad that when I got to the room I did not feel comfortable because the environment had little hygiene and cleanlinesshoped that they could improve in these aspects because the hotel is in a well-located place and has good facilities

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights while we were in town for a funeral My overall impression was goodThe facility itself shows some wear and tear, but has been kept up pretty well

The room was clean and relatively comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpfulThis isn’t a resort hotel It’s fairly basic, but for all that I was very satisfied with my stayThe ONLY real complaint I had was that the elevators were very, very SLOW But that’s not all that big a dealI’d definitely stay here again

A P

If I can give this hotel a ZERO star I would What a terrible experience my family and I had with this hotel Our room smells funky

The Hallway we’re narrow and tight when the cleaning crew doing their job it’s hard to pass by The elevator looks like they were working outside but they don’t finish The big disappointment about this hotel is, there is no water on our 3rd day stay and the staff can’t tell us when the water will come back so we have to move out and find a different hotel The front desk told us that there is a busted pipe across the street but we don’t think so because the Marriott across the street still has water, I think this location of Holiday Inn Express has poor management The only good thing about this hotel is the staff was friendly The Palm tree by the pool is infested with ants, when my husband went to tell the front desk they said they would look into it Never did And by the water fall laying on the rock ledge was a large bunch of some ladies hairnastyOnly when the maintenance guy came by and we mentioned it to him did he do something about it It was over 100 degrees but the water felt like 30 degrees
