Loved how clean and modern this hotel was! Everything is sparkling clean and all of the staff seem to take pride in their work and are very friendly The rooms are well laid-out with kitchenettes so you can cook for yourself if you’d like The breakfast has a lot of nice hot options such as sausage, scrambled eggs, kielbasa, 🧇 -as well as yogurt, cereal, baked goods, fruit, and hard-boiled eggs

We also had biscuits and gravy on the first day we stayed and hash browns on the second day The pool is smaller but adequate and there is a small bar in the lobby as well Excellent value for the money!

We were in town for a funeral, so needless to say it was a great relief that the hotel was fantastic Clean, large rooms, an indoor pool for the kids (which was a great release after the wake), there was pull out couch which was perfect for the kids to share The TV was on a swivel and had Netflix access which again, kept the kids busy

The staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was really good, gym had everything and was clean! We were really impressed with our stay

I don’t usually leave reviews for places that I stay, But this place stood out It stood out to me because of one person, this one person made my stay better than I could’ve imagined He knew my name, called me by it and remembered the room I was staying in

That guy is David He is a fantastic worker and deserves to be in a higher leadership role in the company or the hotel He blew my expectations away and I hope someone sees this and awards him for his kindness If you’re ready this David, You killed it, my guyThe Only gripe I have with this hotel is that there was not enough hot water to take a shower with sadly Other than That it was greatPros- David- BreakfastCons- Hot water issue

Not your average Red Roof Inn For starters, this was the absolute “BEST” Red Roof Inn I ever stayed in The staff was extremely nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful

The room was very clean The bed was comfortable The hotel offers coffee, tea & juice A to go bag is available for breakfast which has a muffin, bottle of water and granola bars The location was ideal Near the highway, shopping and restaurants Security is very good as far as needing your electronic key card to enter through side doors and your room I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to others The view from the front of the hotel is beautiful too (facing a lake) I travel a lot and if more Red Roof Inn’s we’re like this one, I’d stay with them more often A++

I’ve only spent one night, so far it serves my needs well It is clean and appears well kept It is hands down a major improvement over the Newburgh hotel and conference center

My bags were not moved across the room by roaches In fact I’ve not seen any thing crawling in the room Towels appear to be rather small but, I bring my own washcloths and towels It’s just oogies me out using someone else’s towels and washclothsOverall this Red Roof inn is leaps and bounds better than any Red Roof inn I’ve ever stayed at And you have anything you would need as far as food or groceries within a half mile This is a hidden gem!

David Jaeger

The hotel itself is clean and well managed The GM is very mindful and does their job well Dogs were also allowed at the hotel the last time I was there in June 2022

The rooms are nice and there is a lot of parking There isn’t a lot to do nearby but there are plenty of fast food spots nearby, a Walmart, and if you want a good meal there is a diner immediately in front of the hotel called Ikaros Diner that has great food and desserts

The hotel is fairly easy to find; entrance is right along the highway The staff seems friendly and helpful enough And the rooms are fairly spacious and clean

A buffet style breakfast is also included But alas, this is where my compliments endEvery few seconds I could hear a roar outside my room’s window At first I thought they were jet airplanes rumbling down the runway for takeoff Then I realized that the noise was coming from the adjacent highway and the commercial trucks rolling down the highway and making this roaring noise I think the rooms need better soundproofing Next, when we stepped outside for the day and returned to our room later, we were shocked to find out that the add-a-lock on our room’s door, the one that can only be engaged when you’re inside your room for extra security at night, was engaged and there was no way for us to enter our room This was, to say the least, very perplexing and surprised us very much At first I thought we were at the wrong hotel room And after triple checking, we were positive that we were at the correct room So we had to go downstairs to the lobby and inform the receptionist that we needed help to get back into our room She immediately went into defensive mode and started blaming us that maybe we slammed the door, and that was the reason why the lock engaged itself First of all, we never slam our hotel door, no matter where we stay We’re very considerate of other people Second of all, if that were true that the door had been slammed, the receptionist should not even accuse us of that because the lock should never self engage with the slamming of a door Even though someone from maintenance came fairly quick to help us enter our room, the experience with that receptionist left a sour memory in my mindAlso, we requested a room near the elevator I’m blind and have a difficult time walking long distances to look for specific things like the elevator Our room was pretty far from the elevator And although I know that this kind of thing is based on availability, we did notice that people arrived the day after we did and were given rooms much closer to the elevatorThis next point may be a bit of a nitpick, but the buffet breakfast seems to be lacking in traditional breakfast meats I had scrambled eggs and some kind of sausage It wasn’t a traditional breakfast link, instead it tasted more like a sweet hot dog And no bacon either? There were cold cuts, but cold cuts for breakfast really aren’t my thing All this for nearly $460/night Really?! I couldn’t help but notice that we paid almost as much as one week in an all-inclusive Beach resort for only two nights in this hotel These are the reasons for my 3⭐ review We were in Newburgh for the wedding of a close friend, and drove nearly 4 hours So I’m not really sure if I would stay in this hotel again ☹️

Friendly staff Decent sized 2x queen room Breakfast options were good

The main issue was the hot water for a shower was barely warm enough to not be cold while getting a shower Additional sound deadening would be good too We could hear regular volume conversations next door in our first floor room The noise from the second floor that night, well, only so much you can do about that

Shelley Jennings

The staff are friendly, professional and efficient The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean My one small criticism is that the shower flow is rather weak and the temperature of the water is tepid to cool

I like a hit shower and I couldn’t get the temperature warm enough to my satisfaction This is a relatively complaint This is a new hotel and everything is clean, and attractive The breakfast is okay You will find oatmeal, eggs, hash browns, mini-muffins, bagels, toast and chocolate or plain waffles that you make There’s an assortment of juices and teas as well as coffee I usually have yogurt, but I don’t like Yoplait I believe most people will find something to eat, just as I did

Standard rooms you would expect at a Hampton Inn, nothing fancy, but clean, relatively spacious, with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee makerI was surprised by how good and plentiful the complimentary breakfast was There was a buffet of eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and potatoes, plus a breads (toast, English muffins, and bagels, and cereals section, as well as a waffle maker section

In addition, there was an assortment of fresh fruits and yogurtsI also loved the all day coffee and tea station (alright at 8pm I tried to make myself some tea and found the hot water was empty) and afternoon cookies at 3 pm which were very delicious!!! They also have a snack bar section with various snacks and drinks for sale (chips, cookies, and sodas, etc)The concierge was always friendly and helpful and accommodating I had asked for a sewing kit and extra lotion and they were able to give my any extra toiletries right awayThis location is very convenient During our stay we visited the CIA, FDR’s house at Hyde Park, and had dinner and drinks on Main Street in New Paltz It was a wonderful home base for a weekend escape from the city

Wow,,,great Hilton property run by caring professionals~Front the front desk to the staff running the breakfast to the cleaning staff to the maintenance staff…this place is cared for-Very clean, bright, and welcomingThe room we stayed in was spotless…really nice bathroom set up with a spot for the towels on a shelf…nice shower with modern glass door and a new style drainPlenty of soaps available-The breakfast was solid…they had something for everyone

Good coffee and tea~ available most of the dayNice location in relation to surrounding destinations like local wineries and restaurants ~

Front desk was extremely nice and accommodating on multiple occasions Large room on the ground floor with high ceilings and king bed facing a large window which was very pretty 24 hour coffee/tea was amazing; the large diverse breakfast was as well

Very clean Only downside was that there were a good amount of ants in the bathroom Didn’t notice them at first but later in the day there were a lot on the floor and around the garbage I had discarded a tea cup that I used honey in one possible explanation But still there shouldn’t be a ton of ants coming out of the wall moulding in the bathroom

Found this hidden gem by accident and couldn’t be happier I was visiting friends and family in the Orange and Ulster county area and Walden was a ideal central point Stayed 6 nights at the Tin Brook’s Vineyard room

the room was well appointed and very comfortableDavid, the proprietor went out of his way to prepare a breakfast in the Tin Brook gift shop tailored to my less than standard breakfast fare tastes as well as pleasant conversation He was always available to assist with any task or information that may be helpful to the enjoyment for my stayI would certainly recommend the Tin Brook B&B for either a great weekend getaway of for extended stays as well I will certainly be returning during my next visit to the area

Kiichi T (kimamu)

Awesome host with great service Room is clean and good amenities Especially, we love the refrigerator which has enough capacity to hold our shopping from local stores

We got a lot of fresh souvenir before going back to NYCWe came here in off-season for horse riding, and this B&B would be our go-to place when Fall season starts in this yearFirst, I would mention that the host’s response is fantastic We often get frustrated for small things in typical B&B style because it is not 24-hours front desk hotel but the host really manages good quality of service during the stayThe room decoration is really nice and I would give credits that they paid attention to design with certain theme in the room We stayed in a room called Strawberry Field, so I found many strawberry related decorations, and it’s always fun and we felt good vibe of welcoming to the placeLastly, it’s fun to have breakfast in downstairs gift shop area Their cat will come down and greet the guest

This is a MUST!! My friend and I stayed at the Pumpkin Patch suite It was so cozy and warm David, the owner, was so great! From the time that I booked he had introduced himself via text and was very welcoming

Breakfast was better than any diner or restaurant we couldn’t ordered from! I will 100% visit again & bring family and friends This was an amazing experience Btw the pumpkin patch suite has a large bathroom, small fridge, coffee maker, & table

Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa is absolutely beautiful The grounds are phenomenal, with a lovely view of the Hudson, picturesque ponds, and rolling greens The owners have rescued most (all?) of the animals, which were so fun to visit

Make sure check out their beautiful aviary, with 2 chickens coops and the peacocks are a riot If you’re staying in the North Cottage you will definitely hear them coo and squawk! Our experience with the staff was excellent-everyone was super friendly and they went above and beyond to help usDinner at Henry’s was amazing-if you like cocktails, highly recommend the Bees Knees and the scallops were delicious Breakfast is included-it’s a small menu with impressive execution by Chef Jennie – who would have thought Zucchini Walnut pancakes would be so life-changing!Overall, our stay was lovely and restful-a truly beautiful property, and we can’t wait to come back!

I was here in January Beautiful grounds and a very nice room It was an extremely restful and peaceful few days

The best part was the food at the restaurant – some of the best food I’ve ever had and the drinks were great too Included breakfast was yummy and made to order and daily tea-time was a cute touch also I also got a massage which was out of this world Thank you

Katie Barker

I came here for the spa and was taken back by the beauty and tranquility of the grounds There are flower gardens, animals, fresh fruit and produce growing, chicken and peacock! The grounds are well maintained and are free to walk for everyone using their facility The spa service was excellent and, though can be pricier than other spas, was well worth the extra money

There are well marked paths that bring you to ponds that have swan, geese, and duck, as well as waterfalls I would highly recommend coming here I am looking forward to coming back

Last weekend I attended my nephew’s wedding at Audrey’s Farmhouse and it was truly one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever attended (and I’ve been to a lot of weddings in my day) The setting was absolutely gorgeous, the accommodations were wonderful – I was in a spacious king suite – and the Greenhouse was beautiful and spacious Genevieve, Rachel and the rest of the Audrey’s Farmhouse staff was fantastic – attentive, accommodating and they really went above and beyond the call of duty

The food was so delicious too and so beautifully presented I had a hard time leaving the property on Sunday and wanted to stay a few more days The entire weekend was magical If you’re looking for the perfect place to host your wedding, I highly recommend visiting Audrey’s Farmhouse You won’t be disappointed

Laura Burkhardt

This is perfectly located in a quiet place allowing to stay at a very reasonable price if you are visiting Legoland which is what we did to enjoy our trip on a budget Rooms were clean and stocked with essentials I noticed couple safety and security feature in the room

First they have option to close your peeping hole so no one can peep from outside Second they have a safety feature on door where a flat metal piece when unlatched can prevent anyone from accessing your room from outside Now we all know that hotel industry has been under tremendous pressure to be green and less waste One amenity in bathroom I noticed was a soap, shampoo and conditioner dispenser It’s great, you use what you want and no wastageJust like any other industry this place I believe is still struggling with some staffing or I would say they are adopting I needed extra towels which I got it but I have to go to front desk to get it No big deal Breakfast was fresh, wholesome and with plenty of healthy choice Overall I enjoyed my stay here with my family and I will highly recommend it

Erik Devereux

I had to make an emergency trip to the area because of a family medical emergency The front desk helped me get a great room at an affordable rate on the day I arrived The hotel is nearly brand new – very clean and modern

I loved my room, also clean and very new I enjoyed the free breakfast and the service staff were super friendly at all times My only minor quibble is that the construction of the bathtub/shower was not well executed and already is falling apart The hotel should inspect all the bathrooms for those construction defects and fix them right away I definitely will use this hotel again

Beebea H

My fiancé and I were visiting family in the area and booked this Holiday Inn Express, as did 8 other members of his familyTwo days before check in we wound up having to make some changes to our reservation due to expected inclement weather Kristen was very helpful getting the changes done

She was professional, but very friendly and made us feel reassuredAll of the staff were amazing Orlando checked us in quickly with a big smile, and he was able to accommodate my requests The room was CLEAN, spacious and well appointed The lobby area was kept very cleanWe were fortunate enough to be there the same time as a regional sales manager, Lori-Beth Holt She frequently checked on us to be sure everything exceeded our expectations, which it certainly did She was so lovely and sets a wonderful tone for this establishmentThe location was ideal for us, and it is just minutes away from many shopping areas and restaurantsI wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express

It was amazing! We stayed in the Bluebird room It was so spacious and the bed was huge and very comfortable We had a large bathroom that was adjacent to our room so you will have to go in the hallway

But they provided robes The town of Montgomery is so cute with lots of good restaurants and a fun little bar Overall would definitely recommend, and me and my partner will be back again!

Debra Golaszewski

We just returned from an overnight stay in the private suite at the Borland House My companion had had surgery twice in as many weeks and was getting restless so we wanted to be close to home but not at home The Borland House was wonderful

The suite we had was two rooms in one with a private bathroom Anna the inns owner and chef was pleasant and very engaging with her guest The best part of the stay was the Saturday night dinner (included in the cost of the room) and breakfast the next day Anna is an amazing chef I would recommend this B&B to anyone in the area

East Northeast

Montgomery is a quaint village, with a handful of eateries in place, but for a truly wonderful brunch experience, one must eat at The Borland Inn, their three-course Prix fix menu is just awesome; a variety of pastries to start, greens, then followed by the entree – Try the fried chicken and waffle stack topped with a cream sauce, maple syrup and a touch of tabasco; out of this world, all made on the premise A bit on the pricey side, but the overall dining experience is great and well worth the price This was our first time, and we had our Jack Russel with us, so we sat and ate on their front porch, but the interior is a wonderful flashback to the 1800s and very spacious and quite beautiful

No Fanfare about this place I think they know they have it down Truly a hidden gem Cannot wait to go back

I typically don’t take the time to leave reviews unless I’m impressed one way or the other I wasn’t impressed For a relatively new facility, it had some holes in the caulking around the shower

The first night we were there it seemed like the people in the room above us were going to come through the ceiling as they were walking/running/jumping/stomping up until about 11:00 pm I’ve never experienced a real earthquake before but now have an idea of what to expect if I do We were on the first floor near the front desk so they had to be aware of the circus in town on the second floor but apparently didn’t feel the need to do anything about it The refrigerator wasn’ t working and had to be swapped out on Day 2 The front desk personnel were perfunctory in their duties and it was obvious that they really didn’t want to be there The most helpful employees were the cleaning/maintenance staff They were pleasant and attentive to our needs and the only reason I gave a rating of 2 stars I know that I wasn’t booking a room at the Ritz-Carlton but I do have a basic level of expectation when I stay at a hotel I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past and have been satisfied with their staff, facilities and service, however, this one pales in comparison I can’t/won’t recommend it

Cynthia Crawford

Staff was friendly and very helpful during our five day stay They even provided a wheelchair to help get my great aunt to and from the room No request from the front desk was a bother and we had several (extra coffee pods, sewing kit, dish soap, toothbrush, quarters to wash, and I’m sure I’m forgetting something

) Rooms were space, comfortable, and clean My aunt mentioned multiple times how comfortable her bed was

Bee Gees

Rooms are very clean and nice The only problem we had was the toilet got clogged a few times on just liquid A very nice hotel overall

Some sketchy people in cars and a few cigarette-y smells in the hall sometimes but it’s a good choice if you’re looking to stay in this area They have a nice indoor pool and the bathroom smelled nice Nice service and they clean every 2 days A big fridge and they have a hot and cold breakfast

This is a very well operated hotel with extremely polite and responsive staff The lobby, pool, and breakfast areas are clean and bright, and the staff was very quick to refill the free hot drink station every time they saw someone use it Breakfast was typical budget hotel stuff, but the waffles are very good and there is a good variety of items

Rooms had modern TVs with built in streaming and new modern furniture There was carpeting in the halls and rooms, but it was clean and new The AC units in the rooms were the old fashioned behemoths that sit under a window, and they looked like they could stand to be cleaned, but they worked well to keep the room at the right temp The hotel building itself was in an office park without any restaurants nearby, but if you need medical supplies or an urgent care, you are in luck I stayed here for nearby Legoland, this appears to be the closest budget hotel, and it was just a couple minutes away, so I would definitely stay again

Michael LaBarbera

An interesting stay Nothing inherently wrong with nothing inherently impressive either Normally for a hotel stay that is as expected I would give 4 stars and be done with it, but there were just a few oddities about the place that I’d like to share

For example, the refrigerator in our room was off, this may seem like no biggie but in every hotel I’ve ever been in they are on and already cold and we didn’t actually notice it until the morning after our first night stay and nothing was cold TV, I don’t know if they do it for fun but the responsiveness of the Philips television in our room was like waiting for a dial up connection The fitness center, no indication it was in the basement, just ask you saywell we did, but there wasn’t anyone at the front desk and we had to ask the staff who were cooking and serving breakfast by going to the kitchen The emergency instructions on the elevators, were unreadable, either completely worn out or scraped off on the 1st and 3rd floor (didn’t check the 2nd)So yeah, strange non deal breaking things Everything seemed clean and cozy otherwise and a very convenient location based on our activities for the weekend

Nice hotel overall Room was clean and furnishings were updated Big plus if you are traveling with your pet

this hotel accommodates pets (there is a pet fee) and they must be on leash going through hotel 2 issues the lighting in bath is horrible for shaving or getting ready Secondly, there is no bar soap I requested it and was denied There are containers attached in shower for soap, shampoo and conditioner So, if you want to wash your hands, you go to shower for soap, 🤔😂😂 There is a diner and other food choices within walking distance and large mall a few minutes away

Rebekah Keener

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning effective and quiet The room darkening curtains did their job, and I had the best night of sleep away from home that I think I have ever had I would recommend it as a place to stay for anyone

If you are a person who likes coffee in their room, you might want to bring your own instant coffee packs as ours only had decaf But that was the ONLY almost-bad thing

J C

This is our fourth or fifth time staying here We mainly stay here due to the location near Legoland and also family events The Marriott App has been hit or miss

When we request extra bedding, we rarely receive it unless we go to the front desk and request it there The mobile key doesn’t always work eitherThe room itself is spacious The queen beds are better than doubles The bathtub was working well, with no clogging I like the tamper proof soap, shampoo and conditioner The sink backed up a little bit The seating area is comfortable There was some stains by the headboard of one of the beds, that I had to wipe down with disinfectant wipes There was also some mildew or mold in the vent of the AC

My family stayed here while attending a military honors funeral Just the history of the hotel makes it such an honor to be a guest The breakfast buffet is excellent

We had a room to celebrate with our group of classmates and the service was great Beautiful historic place The rooms are small but it’s location makes it easy to attend any event inside West Point Military Academy We will definitely be back and will recommend

I stayed here during a road trip to the East Coast I really liked the historic, gorgeous building and grounds The room was very clean, large, and had great views of the Hudson

Accessing the place seems intimidating – going through a guard gate and all – but the hotel is well within walking distance to town The staff was very friendly (especially the valets – knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional), the food in the bar is great, and breakfast was good but (of course) expensive I’d return anytime

We stayed at the Thayer Hotel the beginning of May We absolutely adored the charm and history of The Thayer I felt like I was in Europe

The accommodations were great, they have a great fitness room and the staff was extremely nice and helpful (especially with us coming in so late after a 13 hour drive) Enjoyed eating at Zulu Time, but didn’t have enough time to try the other restaurants Will definitely stay there as much as we can over the next 4 years!

Lovely stay Clean and Covid safe Incredible attention to details with delicious breakfasts delivered to the room with creative menus every morning! Lemon cookies waiting on arrival were exquisite

Rooms are cozy with fireplaces, snacks, robes and slippers The bed has two squishy pillows and two firm ones; they have truly thought of everything and want you to enjoy your stay A conflict with noisy guests was addressed promptly and really doesn’t seem to reflect the peaceful environment they are trying to create It was a perfect quiet weekend away, designed to be romantic and cozy One piece of advice: the room with an air tub is totally worth it- try to book this room

This place is the absolute best!! If you want a cozy and romantic getaway in a beautiful location, there’s nothing better The rooms are beautifully decorated and so thoughtful – there was even a white noise machine and a small wine fridge! The breakfasts were delicious, and Dena was kind and responsive and catered to my dietary restrictions Will absolutely be staying here again!

Great hotel I was only a little concerned with the cleanliness of the room due to an unfresh odor and fingerprints on the doors lock I know during covid I stayed here and things were near perfect but this time I believe cleanliness may have been less of a priority

The front desk staff was wonderful and pool area was beautiful as well as landscaping around property The complimentary breakfast wasn’t something to complain about either! The man in charge of breakfast was on top of it and kept everything stocked and fresh regardless how busy breakfast was Over all the stay was great and if I could rate it a 45 I would have The beds were comfortable as always and I got a peaceful, restful (much needed) nights sleep Thankful to the staff for their hard work!

This hotel was wonderful, the stuff, the room, breakfast and the outside pool made our stay wonderfulWe had 2 rooms that connected which was perfect for our group The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was great with a variety of options

I would definitely stay again when I come back to lego land

Cameron Tylek

We found the room to be clean, comfortable, and quietThe outdoor pool was great for the kids, and the surrounding patio was convenient for eating take-out Complimentary breakfast had plenty of options including a waffle station that my kids really enjoyed

The room we chose had a comforting king bed with a comfortable pullout fullsize sofa bedThe room had a mini fridge, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and hangersThe location is about 10 minutes from Legoland, and there was no traffic getting thereThere was another hotel option in the same area, but I can say I had no reason to dislike my stay here and I would book another trip here without question
