Ian Kessler

The hotel is newer, so the lobby and rooms are in very good shape There are a lot of hotels in the immediate vicinity and some grouped together, but the Holiday Inn stands by itself way up a hill directly off the exitThe first impression, and lasting impressions of my stay here, is that almost every time I entered and exited, there was at least one employee standing/sitting immediately out front smoking

This includes when I checked in, and there was a sign at the counter that said “be right back” and the front desk employee was out front smoking and realized when I was walking in with luggage that I might need to check inThe rooms fit the bill, all good, no concerns We had no housekeeping during our 4 night stay, but assumed that if we needed something, we could ask for itThe breakfast room was cozy, imagine it would get crowded if they were at capacity, but there were not too many guests during our stay However, they ran out of hot food at least 15 minutes before breakfast ended – on a not crowded morning – and we were told it would not be restocked, so it cost us an extra $25 or so to eat breakfast down the hill at Waffle HouseWe also asked for a later checkout, noon instead of 11 am, and you would have thought I was asking for a free night or something Again, fairly empty hotel and after some hemming and hawing, we were pushed to NoonLastly, there are no grounds for outside sitting or relaxing There are two chairs out front at the driveway that are primarily used by the staff for smoking It would be nice to have a patio area

Shawn Wright

This place was amazing from booking to check in to check out Due to a winter storm and power outage, I booked this hotel immediately for my wife, upon arrival the front desk was amazing especially with details of the front to breakfast and indoor pool to lay out of the grounds The room was extremely clean with amazing care

Sleep was amazing with a comfortable bed and pillows, no noise at all with a packed hotel I will definitely be back

Denae Williams

We had a beautiful, large room which was very helpful for our family of 6 The hot breakfast was great and there was adequate seating when we went Our kids love the pancake maker! The pool and hot tub were both warm and clean

This hotel is about 20 minutes past where we usually stay in Pittsburgh, but we will likely stay here from now on

The staff was friendly and helpful with issues but the decor and room itself left much to be desired The linens had to be changed (but were done quickly) due to hair on the bed There was a large stain on the carpet

The bathroom had used shampoo with makeup on it available for us to use There were dirt and bugs on the floor The pull out sofa mattress was very stained The pool water was not clear whatsoever Overall, we will not be back

Trish Olmstead

Beds- clean and comfyBathrooms – showers are great very cleanBreakfast – lacking

waffles or cereal is the options, looking for a better breakfast won’t find it here Considering the times I guess it was good enoughPool – didn’t smell like a bleach jug, pool area had some broken debris laying aboutOver all very clean and friendly hotel we’d stay again

Quarantine & Illusion

Breakfast was poor Stayed at 3 other hotels during this trip, all had real food on breakfast So I do not accept the excuse for a few muffins, out of order juice machine and just dirty area being covids fault

Other places are not having that excuse This will be our LAST stay at any country inns and suites Just disappointing and no excuse is acceptable

Well the room was not very clean! There was no ac When I went to the front desk to let them know They told me if your windows open maybe try that to cool the room dow

Also when I booked the room I was told one price on the phone When I got my card statement it was definitely a higher price I call and the lady said that was not there fault Thank God we had a good time at the wedding BUT I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST ANYONE TO EVER GET A ROOM THERE I never give no one bad reviews but I had to definitely write one about this place

Kaitlyn Mignogna

My husband and I had our wedding here in September 2021 The day turned out completely perfect! I was very stressed up until the wedding day We wanted a historic venue, and in the area I think that is a challenge to find, especially a historic venue that is affordable and not in Pittsburgh or a barn

We decided to do a Sunday wedding because it was less expensive There were so many things included in the basic wedding package that the wedding felt a lot more expensive than it was! The venue is gorgeous and requires little to no decorating We wanted a formal wedding and the George Washington was perfect for that The ceremony space is my favorite part of the venue and was very grand The food was top notch! Absolutely amazing food and great sized portions The open bar was included and everyone thought the mixed drinks were good too The dance floor was plenty big enough Erica did a great job organizing and setting everything up and made the day a lot less stressful All of our guests had a great time Many people told my family that is was the best wedding they had ever been to You can get ready here, take your photos, ceremony, reception, and we had a great room to stay in Bed was comfrotable, jacuzzi was nice, and our room was large Looking back we are so happy we decided to have our wedding here!

Robert Jacobs

I don’t often take the time to write a review, but I had to share how pleased I was from start to finish with planning my daughter’s wedding at The George Washington Hotel The venue is incredibly beautiful and the service was outstanding Thank you for making it a great day!Shelly Jacobs and Callie O’Toole

Tedd Wagner

We really enjoyed our stay here The location is fantastic The walkway to the casino is very convenient

The Parlay lounge has a great patio with a fire pit and plenty is seating The service was excellent and the food was great The sushi chef John was very outgoing and his sushi was excellent and reasonably priced There are also a variety of bars and restaurants a short walk away Many of the rooms are recently renovated and they have a great layout A few minor things in the bathroom but that was because of the renovation Overall a great trip and excellent value

Troy Sommers

Beds were good The pullout sofa would be better for kids than an adult for sleeping The TVs were lackluster as it was weird to use them

I thought it had no connection for the first 30 minutes The front desk workers were cordial but that was about itThe breakfast was blah The eggs, bacon, and potatoes were not something you wake up for They do have a nice set up for grabbing food to go as many of their items are single serve packages so if you are grabbing breakfast to go this place works My coffee was lukewarm on cup one before 7 But at 10 it was hot The pool was 3 feet to 5 feet It was warm in the pool and it went right to a nice covered patioThe building is under construction so it wasn’t as nice and convenient Good hotel if you are just hitting the casino but not a great hotel for a family I could hear multiple people at night moving around

NIck R

I’d be upset if I paid to stay here, luckily the casino comps the room First of all there is literally no parking available, depending on the time you get here, if it’s check in time good luck finding a spot They have charging for electric vehicles that take up 4 spots but no signs say parking for electric vehicles only, until you get into the hotel and they have a sign that was just put up and implemented on 5/13/22 that says it’s for electric vehicle parking only

When we checked in to our room there were no towels whatsoever in the room and had to call to have some brought up The pool room has such a strong chlorine smell and it stings your eyes when you walk in and is not very inviting The room wasn’t very clean and there’s no garbage bags in the can so stuff leaks out the mesh can onto the floor The couch had a lot of stains and didn’t look clean I think the only good thing was the beds were comfortable but who knows if those were even clean The furniture seems very beat up I only stay here because it’s free

World Traveler

Front desk was quite friendly especially Tammy Breakfast was not bad but I was not happy that for two days straight they had no orange juice Hot eggs served only on weekend

Boiled eggs served daily Beds comfortable Rooms are spacious as well as bathrooms Shower pressure great I wish they had notepads and pens in the rooms The only drawback to this place is the awful luggage carts, I am not sure how on earth they would use something with an open bottom so everything you put in falls through the bottom They need solid bottom luggage carts they score zero stars on this

Terra Rae

We survived the snow/ice storm of February 2022… but we probably wouldn’t have without the Hampton Inn When the power went out on Friday, I packed our things and went out to find a place to stay We needed pet friendly so we were limited

I gusss I waited too long because I tried to book online at FOUR hotels & when I arrived at those hotels I was told they were sold out and the booking was a mistake Obviously these hotels were not used to being so booked up When I was just about to give up & sleep in my car with my 1 year old and my 2 year old pit bull, I saw that Hampton Inn had 4 rooms I thought “it can’t be, that’s where I started the evening… right next door to that hotel” but I booked a suite & arrived expecting to be turned away When I went inside the front desk greeted me with a friendly smile He was so nice and inviting (which was nice after a long night of getting turned away) The room was so clean for a pet friendly hotel The free breakfast was stocked up until the last minute on the hour… even when I was leaving the staff was friendly & offered to help me with my bags 10/10 would recommend to anyone Especially in times of crisis They called people in to get more rooms cleaned to help the community and if that doesn’t say 5 star hotel, I don’t know what does!

Zola Lo

The room itself is very nice, clean, spacious, has big bed and microwave & fridge Decent gym The lady on the night shift on the 29th was so kind and made us feel so welcomed – she came to turn on the light for us when we had our takeout dinner in the lobby and gave us remote to the TV

The only con is that the breakfast buffet was not so impressive compared with another Hampton Inn in the area (while the room is much better) – all prepackaged food and no fresh fruit Bagels only came in the plain flavor and few cereal choices There were waffle machines though!

Life Break

Stayed here was a wonder stay fantastic buffet breakfast with a live jazz band staff was amazing and toke great care of me while I stayed and the bed and room was fantastic as well no complaints and the shower was like a rainfall from heaven and there bathrooms were spotless The bar was my favorite part they had a great bartender who was super friendly as a Marriott employee It would be a dream to work here!

Elana Birnbaum

We stopped here for one night while passing through on a road trip The hotel is brand new and very clean The staff were a delight at both check-in and checkout

The lobby decor is gorgeous and the area is quietThe room however is very tiny and definitely best for one guest The sliding bathroom door offers little privacy The shower was sadly warm at best and also leaked onto the floor The bed was decently comfortable The hotel in general felt very safe to travel to during the pandemic

I like that the sink is not in the bathroom I was traveling alone, but I can see that being nice for families Also like it, because it is not all hot and humid from the shower when you are drying your hair Had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower, a laundromat, mini fridge, hair dryer, microwave, coffee, and the makeup remover wipes they had worked great Good space to store luggage Snacks for sale in lobby They had breakfast, but I didn’t eat Lots of amenities for price Would stay again for sure

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff The room was immaculate and well maintained The breakfast was exactly what I expected

Hot, and lots of it Plenty of tea options for the tea drinkers, and the coffee was good too The pool room is currently closed due to maintenance issues, which was communicated on the website when I booked the room All in all, a lovely hotel at a great location

Deborah Braughler

A very nice place to stay Not very far from the city and other attractions, but in a quiet location with some lovely food and shops to walk toThe room was very clean

We had a wobbly toilet and the bed was a bit hard But it was such a nice set up we were able to look beyond that The noise factor was minimal too

Ric Rivera

Nice location but hotel needs a lot of maintenance We were very disappointed when pool was closed for repairs and wasn’t notified, leaks coming from the ceiling throughout the public corridor and didn’t see anyone all week trying to address issue The pantry cabinets are in bad shape and had to call to replace towels due to stains

Outdoor grill needs a good cleaning I wanted you like it but was very disappointed

The staff made the biggest difference! Our car stalled nearby and we had to stay the night – the front desk staff went over and beyond in making sure we arrived at the hotel from the mechanics safely and always asked us if there was anything else they could help us with I truly want to thank Patty for her generosity and Julianne for her kindness If it weren’t for them, I would have broken down too! The hotel itself was clean, comfy beds, modern bathrooms, decent breakfast and great fitness room and pool

Jordan Douglas

Wonderful experiences, was traveling and became to tired to finish the last leg of my journey home, pulled over to sleep here but had no overnight bag, the rooms do not have USB ports to charge your phones and when I called the front desk to ask the lady said they had non to offer, but then said she thinks she might have one in her car, she said I’ll call you right back 5 min later she didn’t call, she knocked on our door to deliver her plug in herself, that’s 100% above and beyond exceptional customer service, would stay her again next time I’m in Pittsburgh!

chad zerbe

There was mold on the air conditioner If you have allergies DO NOT stay here The air quality is not safe if you have asthma or allergies

We paid through a third party originally They said they had no record of that, so we paid with credit card When we got to our room we were able to find the receipt for the first time we paid We went back down to the front desk and the attendant said he couldn’t fix it but would let his manager know when she got in The next morning the front desk had not been informed of the situation We provided proof again They said they would correct the situation We never spoke with the manager The manager never apologized A few hours later I receive an extra charge I called and was assured (by the front desk) they would remove it I then received another 50 dollar charge Eventually all the charges were removed and we only paid what we were supposed to Not a great experience I would not recommend this hotel

Jacuzzi was nice Room was efficient and spaced out Very well cleaned

The pool was down so we couldn’t utilize it Which was fine, I’m sure it’s just under construction or shut down because of covid Front desk was very friendly and welcoming Didn’t get a chance to try to the breakfast, but I’m sure it would have tasted great Thank you for the stay, the privacy and the hospitality your Hotel provided us at our stay

Steve Van Dyke

Disappointed all the way around here Check in was disappointing The front desk made it seem I was inconveniencing them by showing up

The room was well on it’s way to getting run down Peeling wallpaper, excessive caulk, plumbing that needs work, and ratty carpet are very quickly seen just walking into the room Lack of power outlets by the beds and in the room in general Pull out couch mattress was stained and in need of replacement years ago TV location made no sense, and was in the way with the pull out couch as a bed Bathroom layout made zero sense as well, especially the towel bar at a height where hung towels drape on top of the toilet paper so now you have to use wet toilet paper in the bathroom Highway noise is very prevalent, no matter where you arePool area was missing towels, same as the workout area When asking for towels, we were told those are by request only and we told the front desk it would have been nice to know that up front so we got them before we went into those facilities We asked for extra towels since we had a family of 6 and there were only 4 in the room You would have thought that we were asking for a mountain to be moved when making the requestI’ve stayed at a few Marriott properties in the last couple years at all sorts of price points This location, by far, has landed squarely at the bottom of my list It is nowhere near the brand standard that I expected at booking the property I’m exceptionally disappointed with our stay

Gavin Thomas

Spring Hill is our go to on family road trips as it can accommodate five comfortably and offers breakfast Usually very satisfied as most are new, clean and well maintained I can’t say that on this one

Lots of deferred maintenance and felt dirty and old It desperately needs of remodel I will say staff was friendly (albeit a bit unprofessional wearing baseball caps at front desk), location is convenient, and breakfast was better than average I know Marriott wouldn’t be proud of this one

Rude Front Desk Supervisor (Ellen)The hotel charge me an extra $300 for 1 night because they claimed I checked in a day before I really didWhen I called the hotel about this I was called a liar by the front desk supervisor (Ellen) and she told me “I was on camera signing papers and checking in on Friday” I checked in on Saturday and checked out on SundayEllen was very rude and was chuckling when telling me I was lying and I stayed for 2 nights not 1 like I actually did

When I asked for her employee number she then hung up on meI called the hotel back 5 times and was sent to voice-mail every timeI have never been disrespected and treated so poorly by a “professional” establishment, this experience made me feel like the gum stuck on the bottom of someone’s shoe This experience still feels really bad and Ellen hurt my feelingsI didn’t deserved to be treated like that and no one deserves to be treated like thatMy Girlfriend and the organization I was at this hotel with are just as upset about my experian as I am

The room had an immediate smell and there was layers of dust on the carpet, some weird dirt spots in the door frame, grime on the hair dryer, etc We were told there was a continental breakfast but when we went down nothing had been put out The second floor laundry room was wrecked and dirty

I wanted to like this hotel because the room design was actually really nice and we liked the options for a queen bed and living room area, but it all just needs a really good cleaning

Excellent staff Restaurant was, well, a hotel restaurant Located in corporate setting

Clean rooms and pretty big Very modern decor, which I know most hotels are now but, we like the more homey feel Comfy and inviting lobby area 25 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh Location is based on MY personal opinion, not the actual functionality I visited with kids and it was a last minute trip

I literally cannot say enough about how wonderful this hotel is From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff the whole experience was outstanding The rooms were clean and comfortable

The omelet we had a breakfast was so good and the food we had later at a function was delicious The staff were so friendly and helpful I doubt I’d stay anyplace else ever again when I am in this area Thank you Hilton!!

The service was great 😊 The staff was super friendly, they remembered our names and preferences The staff at the restaurant went above and beyond, it was buffet style breakfast that wasn’t awesome, however they made it worth it Great conversation and service

My biggest complaint is that the hot tub was out of commission and that was one of my deciding factors for choosing this location I will return here though, really enjoyed the stay
