Just a great hotel! The entire staff was very nice, friendly and welcoming! The complimentary breakfast had everything you need in the morning and was refilled permanently The room service is just perfect – overall the entire hotel is extremely clean! A great place to stay! Location is perfect – far enough outside downtown to get around the traffic but close enough to be within 5 min in downtown York if you want to go out Several restaurants are directly around

Any time again! Great place

Weston Hochstetler

This is a great hotel with very new accommodations, a great atmosphere, and friendly staff The rooms were spacious, well lit, and fairly clean I was directing a tour group, and I found the sales staff to be very accommodating and easy to work with in booking a room block

The only slight qualm I had is that there isn’t any space to park a large bus in the hotel’s parking lot, but we figured that out quite easily

Great Expectations

Small room, Modern meets Non functional! No closet or storage space for personal items, No microwave or Kettle for tea or coffee No cleaning even after a promise to clean the following day

Average breakfast with machine made pancakesThe only good thing is the size of the bathroom Modern and clean

This Hampton goes above and beyond to make a stay the absolute best for visitors The staff is on point, and the rooms are clean and comfortable The exterior is the beginning of cleanliness and carries through this Hampton

They are upholding the Hampton standards that I expect Recommend staying here Beautiful surroundings, easy access to food and shopping If I could give it more than five stars, I would A top-quality place to stay!

L Jessica Merkwa

Very clean, able to adjust the room temp easily, pool could be a touch warmer, breakfast was good Downside from a parent standpoint, able to hear through walls/door easily, didn’t help there was a loudmouth nearby, and the beautiful barn door for the bathroom is a giant pain with an 19 month old and 3 yr old

Staff were wonderful as we left early I don’t remember her name but was at the desk around 7pm Saturday night, very caring and just lovely

Joe Ruddy

Hotel was really clean and the staff were great, very friendly Fresh coffee, early breakfast, and really comfortable, clean rooms as expected The one thing that I really look forward to is the ability to turn the room thermostat down below 68 degrees, which I was able to do so at this Hampton Inn

I would definitely recommend this Hampton Inn, and will stay here again when in the area

We loved staying here! The room was comfortable, everyone was kind and helpful My daughter and I were traveling for a wedding and the care tothe details such as a steamer and hair dryer was so thoughtful Breakfast was delicious and there was a great variety of snacks and beverages available if you needed something to grab during the day

My partner and I stayed here for a night during the last part of our US holiday as a break from the city before we returned to Australia It is in such a picturesque location with beautiful surroundings and wonderful hosts that were extremely welcoming and accommodatingThe facilities were fantastic, the private bathroom was handy and the breakfast was an absolute treat

Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to wind down and relax

Roger Almquist

Perfect accommodation Scrupulously cared for Wonderful, beautiful original paintings everywhere

Thoughtful and subtle ambience throughout My first experience here was in 2016 That stay with Jared & Karen made it a “no-brainer” to repeat the experience in 2018 Great choice I was startled to see that one of America’s truly world-class trout fishing venues, Yellow Breeches Creek, is located within 50 yards of this B&B’s front door Another unexpected advantage to staying here is the presence of a truly charming and cheerful birddog This dog appears to be acting as an ex officio mayor of the local community He happily greets everyone, kisses babies, and solicits votes for some future election I highly recommend his acquaintance and, on his behalf, earnestly solicit your support and vote

Jeremy Everett

A couple friends and I are in town to ski at Roundtop Not only is MMIBB cost effective to split between the three rooms, but it was a fantastic time Jared, Karen, and their adorable golden retriever are all very welcoming and lovely! Light breakfast and coffee in the morning, skied all day, followed a recommendation for good dinner in town, and came back to watch the Olympics on their projector

Great place to stay if you’re skiing

This is a beautiful historic Hotel about 25 min from Gettysburg, that has the quaint and hometown feel of stepping back in time All the staff were genuinely kind and engaging while going about their tasks The food served was incredible, the Meatloaf is a must and I’m not even a fan of meatloaf ordinarily!!! Also try the Brussels Sprouts… perfection

They also had some great drinks like a Blackberry Sour and The 1763 Lager ( Centre Sq Brewery) We will definitely be back, thank you for some great memories!

Jory Lawson

As part of our trike trip from Virginia to Pennsylvania we wanted something other than a normal motel stay and we certainly found it This is a beautiful antique hotel, very well kept and comfortable The rooms were clean the service was excellent

The restaurant in the hotel is great, the food and service were superb Anna, Morgan and Casey all terrific We will definitely be back!

Aynne Polinski

I think it is important not to give such a poor review without the establishment understanding what was done wrong to warrant a one star review My family, three of us went to the Easter buffet @ 12:00 thinking all the food would be fresh We had to walk a long distance to another room from our table to the “buffet

” The buffet never looked visually attractive It was set up in a room with large tables of families within arms length of the tables They didn’t have one person serving any of the food, it was totally serve yourself, by not having had servers behind the food, the food became poked and mushy looking in appearanceThe serving silverware was never changed, considering the Pandemic we all this lived through, you would have thought that would have been a top priority The amount of food on the buffet looked very skimpy for the amount of people that were dining Aside from the fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, the food was less than mediocre for the price The server at our table was attentive, in fairness the service was good

Amira Lockhart

It was a great stay Service was great They were even super welcoming to my dogs and answered all questions I needed

The room is huge and the courtyard pool and outside area was beautiful! The reason I didn’t give them a 5 star rating is because of the bar being closed at 10 pm on a Saturday and no protein (bacon or sausage for breakfast) Everything else was great!

Rinni Smith

The housemen AJ and Larry do an awesome job with making sure the building, bathrooms and grounds are clean It always smells great when I walk out of my room They clean up after every guest with most of the guest being filthy and disrespectful

Were extremely helpful and respectful They do not get the recognition that they deserve and should be tipped for their great service as well as a raise

Chillin’ With Chuck

Really like the courtyard with fireplace and fire pit They also have in the courtyard an indoor swimming area Room was clean and staff is friendly

Great location with businesses within walking distance We decided upon this location in between lancaster and Gettysburg because we are going to both Breakfast is the only downside no hot food like eggs bacon sausage

My family and I stayed Easter weekend and every time we entered and left the hotel we were greeted by pleasant smiles and attentive service Our rooms were clean Honestly, every single person who worked at this hotel made us feel welcome

The management must care about their employees because the work environment was something that made me reflect on what makes an effective business model–employees who feel valued make others feel the same Thank you!

CT Wright (Mandy)

We stay here several times a year while visiting family in the surrounding area Good price and location Easy on/off from the Interstate (I-83)

Plenty of places to eat and a grocery store close for those extended stays Continental breakfast has good options Some things need updating (carpet, wallpaper, etc) But updating is happening (new temperature control recently installed) Overall good value for the money

Timothy Rixner

Check in was smooth and easy The room was as advertised and the bed was very comfortable The bathroom was slightly outdated but that’s ok

The true star of the experience was the young man Philip at the counter who took the time to get to know my partner and I at check in We were there for the night to stay closer to my surgical center for my surgery the next day Philip noticed my crutches and went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable He called us after we had checked in to make sure the room was comfortable He also let us know when we came back from dinner that he had refreshed the coffee in the lobby area and was so cordial and kindThank you for a wonderful stay Philip Much appreciated

The entire purpose of this review is solely to make the staff more aware and allow for a better experience for everyone I think when the disappointment of our trip wears off, we would likely stay here againThe hotel is currently undergoing some renovations

This did not directly impact our stay as it was mainly cosmetic and did not cause any disruptionWe booked and stayed 4 nights and 5 days On the first night, the fire alarms when off at 2am which if you have never encountered before, are so loud that you cannot hear your own voice Evacuated 4 young kids to outside where it was roughly 17 degrees We were allowed back to our rooms about 25 minutes later although no real apology or explanation from the staff Only told to go back to our rooms and that it was a problem with their system Our kids were scared to death for the remainder of our stay each nightThe hot breakfast that everyone ranted and raved about on other reviews was sub par It consisted of cereal, fruit, oatmeal and if you would like, they will warm you up a Jimmy Dean frozen biscuit sandwich This was probably the biggest disappointment as we had to go find breakfast elsewhere each morningThere were some issues with the room such as practically no toilet paper in either bathroom and 2 tissues in total I had to track down a staff member on the second night after calls to the front desk went unanswered and no one there when I walked down The gentleman I stopped in the hallway was very nice and provided me several rolls of toilet paper and 2 boxes of tissuesTwo towels per bathroom for a 2 bedroom hotel room fit to accommodate 6-8 peopleThere were also closet doors that are borderline impossible to open and close, lamps without lightbulbs, faucets that the cold and hot were reversed among a few cosmetic issues however, I assume those will be corrected through the renovationsThere were a few maintenance team members who were very rude and during daytime hours, shout at you “no parking” somewhere specific while you were parking if it was going to interfere with their work however, there was zero way for a guest to know that we would be in their way and these spots were not blocked off, coned off, roped off or anything to suggest you shouldn’t park there I saw this happen to several guests, not just myselfA few positives-The room was spacious enough for the 2 of us and our 6 kids which would normally have given us enough space had we not had the kids scared from the fire alarm on the first night (They all wanted to be crammed in the same room with mom and dad after that)The indoor pool was immaculate, warm and we all enjoyed it on several occasionsThere was an outdoor courtyard that provided a basketball court and outdoor grillsThe beds were pretty comfortable although I believe they are all being upgraded to new ones or some may already have beenEvery member of the staff, minus the 1 maintenance guy were extremely nice and kind and seemed to actually want to be helpful which was niceIt was conveniently located and easy to get places for food, activities etcYou can tell that the upgrades, when complete, will be nice and that the hotel will be a really nice place to stayUltimately, I think that all of these things are items that the hotel can work on to improve

Alexandra Aiello

Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel If I ever need to come back to the York area I will be staying here again hands down The rates were reasonable, the staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean, the amenities offered were all open for use and the complimentary breakfast was surprisingly amazing! Thanks to the staff here that made my stay desirable!

Lahna Jonesy

The room was very spacious and clean! The only thing was there were some dirty socks on the floor behind the door when we walked in but I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt The bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and living room areas were all immaculate though Everything was wiped down and smelled great

We had an amazing time! I’ll definitely be going back!

Nice, clean, quiet hotel It presents in person as it does online Easy check in/ out

Good water pressure for the shower, didn’t hear my neighbors come and go Area felt safeThe main road to it was closed and it was a pain to find the way in, at 10p at night However, once I called the front desk, it was easily resolvedI ranked it so high because it was exactly what it said it was, and no surprises I’d stay againNice pool area The spa was closed, but I didn’t care about that

This is NOT a 3 star hotel!! We only stayed one night and I was so disappointed with this hotel Room was just okay but not given more than 1 shampoo/conditioner bottle The drawer to our dresser was broken and kept opening up

Stained pillowcase We went to use the pool and it was so steaming hot that it was impossible to stay in there Pool water was also too warm No towels in the pool area either We told the front desk about the towels and they told us we are supposed to use our room towels Obviously not true, because there is a rack dedicated to towels in the pool area We also mentioned the pool area being way too hot They told us we can open the windows We opened the windows are were met with the most DISGUSTING dead rotten fish smell ever!! It was so bad it made me want to gag Not sure where it was coming from, but something or someone died outside the back of the building!! Unfortunately we had to keep the windows open and deal with the horrible smell because it cooled the swimming area down a bit But that smell was unbelievable, even people who came in after us asked what that terrible nasty smell was It took over the whole pool!! Next morning we had the free breakfast It was just okay They ran out of a lot of stuff by 7 am! And only one waffle machine…food was subpar All of this for $138 a night!! I feel cheated Next time we will stay at the Hampton Inn Never have any issues there!!

Alexis McLeod

This place has horrible customer service! I stay here with a traveling working company and the hotel was supposed to charge the Company card fr the first 3 days! I gave them my car to charge the remainder of the stay

! She failed to verify the right card and was charging the Company card instead of my credit card! Then once it was discovered Miss Pam lied and said I authorized which is false because i never would’ve been able to verify information that was not mine now I have to go to court to prove I gave her my information and she neglected to do her job and verify the correct information! Never stay here regular guest was complaining because she was double charging their card w/o authorization!

I do not typically write reviews, however I had a terrible experience with my room at this hotel, as well as with the current manager My room had a very strong odor (similar to cherry medicine) which made it difficult to sleep or spend time in the room I looked around for an air freshener that might be plugged in, but was unable to find any

I called the front desk after one sleepless night and they said there were bars of air freshener in the air conditioning unit that I could open and remove if it bothered me I removed them immediately (disgusting) and after that the room smelled less like air freshener and more musty The combination of mildew with the lingering scent of air freshener was not pleasant and did not help my sleep Although the location was good for me, the smell made it difficult to spend any time in the room and sleep was a challenge Also, the manager of the hotel was incredibly rude when I spoke with her on the phone When I originally made my reservation, the computer system was down at the hotel so they told me to make the reservation through the central reservation line I inquired about government rate and they said they could not do that through the central reservation line, but it was available and I just had to mention it at the front desk upon check-in When I mentioned it at the front desk, the desk clerk said she would work to fix it before check-out At check-out, a different desk clerk said that she was unable to give me the govt rate because the reservation was made though the central reservation line rather than at the hotel and because the room was a suite I was referred to the manager and explained the situation, however the the manager was rude and indicated that her desk clerks would never have given me misinformation when I was making the reservation and upon check-in The desk clerks were generally friendly, but the manager was very unprofessional, unhelpful, and discourteous I would not go back Look for other options!

DO NOT BOOK!!!I recently stayed at your this hotel on June 26th-27th with my girlfriend, upon checking in after a long day on the road I was greeted by two very unhappy and unprofessional front desk staff Both were very short and outwardly bashing the state of the hotel calling it “The Ghetto Hotel”We arrived late (10:30 PM) and we’re looking forward to a clean hotel room but were met with the opposite, a dirty room and dirtier hotel overall which included;- Stained Sheets- Moldy shower curtain- Broken AC units in the hallway- Taped off staircase- Towels in hallways and lobby floor- Water-damaged gym ceiling- Filthy carpets(see photos of all)I was looking forward to using the gym the next morning but when I saw how dirty it was I decided to pack up and just get on the road

I have reached out to Expedia and they say they have been unable to reach anyone at the hotel

This hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff were very nice, along with the other guests staying there too It was so nice that I actually bought another night there My stay was from 2-6-22 to 2-8-22

The breakfast served basic waffles with buckwheat They were pretty damn good for being complimentary The room rates weren’t bad too Only $139 bucks for a night I will definitely be coming back soon 😀

We stayed almost a week in this hotel We had a two room apartment-like room with mini kitchen It was spacious, clean, and comfortable

The hotel is clean, the service is polite and helpful The breakfast is included The gym is available, however, it has no barbels, only one machine for weightlifting and several thread mills and bicycles The pool is outside, quite large, but for some reason it was closed One can do laundry in the hotel, which was very convenient – fast and for a decent price The location of the hotel is good: nearby is a large shopping center with a food court, there is a bus stop, and a park in the surroundings, however, to the downtown it is quite some distanceOverall, I am very satisfied with my stay However, I have a few remarks regarding the breakfast The breakfast is overall fine – the selection is sufficient to find what you like, you can even make your own waffles But most of the server things are either salty or sweet, would be nice to get some vegetables Also, during the breakfast, all the silverware, cups and plates are paper/plastic; similarly, some food also comes packed in plastic, like, cheese, honey, jams As a result, you produce a lot of garbage each breakfast 🙁 I wish this could be handled in a better way

When checking in the room # was 501, I asked where that was I am a Disabled Vet with a cane and my HHONORS profile states, Low floor or near Elevator This was the highest floor and longest possible distance from the elevator??? I was moved to another room, but person checking me in had an attitude after I mentioned comment above

The 2nd night while trying to sleep, a bunch of young kids were making lots of noise in the hall, then started POUNDING on room doors then running away I was up and at the door in secondsBeing a Combat Vet, that did not set well with me, I was up for hours with adrenalin It happened at 1035PM, it was a bunch of kids from Lacrosse teams Was up past 2am I had to get up early, work on things all day then drive 2 hours On top of all of this, the room rates for just this Sat & Sun were double the normal This week and the week before, I could get same room for $125, instead of $235, I only needed to stay on Sat, but when I booked just Sat, it said no rooms available, but when I put in Fri and Sat, I could book??? I did not know they can block rooms on Diamond Members?? The Day Staff was much friendlier
