One of my go-to hotels in LA; I love it mainly for the location in the city’s heart It’s a very walkable neighborhood with a variety of restaurants and bars I love the large windows in the rooms

The rooftop lounge works excellent for me The property and rooms are attractive and relaxing I’m in LA for business, and the AC perfectly fits my needsThe staff here is always amicable Occasionally I experience minor issues with the room, but it’s never been too severe, and the team has always been very responsiveI haven’t tried the hotel restaurant, but I always stop in the rooftop bar for a nightcap The liquor selection is limited; they never have Jameson Irish Whiskey and have a minimal beer selection They have a limited food menu as well

Danny Gaytan

Pleasant stay Simple room but came with every necessity needed USB ports on most outlets, spacious refrigerator and alright bathroom

Room was clean, sheets were fresh and crisp Wish parking wasn’t only Valet though ($40 valet) Also breakfast here ain’t free Also a bummer For the rate I paid (roughly $300) I could have stayed at a better hotel For the price it doesn’t fully cut it Also Covid restrictions along with elevators requiring a key card do not let deliveries of any kind upstairs Had to walk downstairs late at night to pick up my dinner Overall a 3 star, it was a good hotel for the price and what I received

Keith K

Relatively new hotel in the museum district on Wilshire Blvd Our one room suite had lots of space and high ceilings Modern, minimalist design

They charge $44/day for parking thoI was going to give it 45 stars, but we could not get our room cleaned I called the front desk twice, but no luck

This is a new hotel and overall I thought it was a really nice place with wonderful staff, and a good value for what it offered Like all LA hotels, the rooms aren’t huge, but they are thoughtfully designed with smart touches like drawers under the bed that store a luggage rack, a safe, etc I also liked the thoughtful amenities like a garment steamer, which I usually have to pack myself! (It’s so helpful for unwrinkling dresses and suits

) The interior design of the place is beautiful, and I love the gold hardware and black-and-white tiling in the bathroom My dad stayed in an accessible room and he appreciated the helpful grab bars in the shower I didn’t get to check out the rooftop because of the weather, and didn’t get to try the restaurant and bar, but definitely would come back to do so Oh, and the bed was super comfortable and I slept amazingly well all 3 nights of my stay!I have only two suggestions for improvement: 1) add additional towel hooks in the bathroom (there was only one, and the robe was hanging on it) to help with towel reuse and maximize sink storage space; 2) fix the wake-up call system — both my dad and I requested wake up calls to get to our early morning flight, but neither of us got one It was a good thing we had our phone alarms set!Overall I think this is a really nice choice for staying in Hollywood The staff was wonderful — everyone was super friendly and helpful —and the hotel was well designed and easy to access with a car For about $175 a night, I thought it was an excellent value If you want a large hotel with multiple bars and restaurants then you’ll want to look elsewhere, but if you want a smaller boutique style hotel that still has nice amenities, this is a great option

Pamela Inglis

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms very clean and clutter free The rooftop pool gives fabulous views over LA, whilst being a relaxing oasis in the centre of the cityBut the best thing about this hotel by far is the staff

Nothing is too much trouble, they are very efficient whilst being polite and very helpfulI would recommend this hotel absolutely!I will definitely be coming back

Marion

Lovely newly minted hotel Pool was of decent size with a nice view of the neighborhood The bar serves really good cocktails but too

You can also pick up coffee and breakfast from the restaurant downstairs and have a relaxing breakfast by the poolWish the double queen room was bigger as we had massive luggages Shower pressure could be better Service was smooth!

My stay was 4 nights at Palihotel Here’s some pros & cons for future travelersPros:1

Location2 Decent sized room (queen bed size)3 Location5 Staff, particularly Brian, was pleasant and helpful6 Restaurant, which was never really busy, was yummy and had excellent serviceCons:1 If you’re on the street side like I was, it’s quite noisy as the wall is half windows, and Melrose is a busy busy street2 Cute decor and mood-lighting, however it can feel quite dark3 No air control in your room It’s a central unit control in the hallway in a locked box4 Depending on expectations (which are subjective) this may feel a bit outdated5 The mini fridge is FILLED with alcohol, which for some may be fine, but I just wanted a fridge to store some water and leftovers6 Thin walls/doors

Lyle Steele

Excellent location but do not expect much help from the front desk, who don’t seem to know what they are doing It took them almost 15 minutes at checkout to give me a receipt, and the woman behind the counter had NO idea how to print it The bed and sofa in the room were amazingly comfortable, but the room was constantly too hot or too cold

There was also no thermostat in the room, or any fans to circulate the air Neither was there a bottle opener for the soda bottles in the mini fridge, and the Front Desk said they had no spares for us So come prepared to serve your own needs The restaurant in the location had great breakfasts and were attentive to the diners But this property was saved by “Location, Location, Location “!!!

Nothing fancy but the basics are covered well: good service, friendly staff, clean and safe Fridge in the room, microwave and water dispenser in a shared area Car rental and dining options close by

Self park on the street rather than use their parking option if you know you’re using your car during the day I had groceries delivered from Target and they handled that well

Korina Juncu

what can i say the hotel is well located the rooms are clean

but I want to warn you that in this hotel I withdraw amounts from the card without agreement !!! keep in mind that you may be left without money for a while until you get it back within 5 business days! so I was charged 1000$ for a two night extension Now I have to wait 5 days for my money back I will say that I had completely different plans, but even for a non-corrector transaction, my plans burned out and my stay in LA leaves an unpleasant mark I asked twice how much money you would withdraw now, they gave me a printout where the amount for 2 nights was 46703 and in fact they took $ 1001 !!! this is terrible Unfortunately, I didn’t feel any better because of the apologies, since I’ve been at zero for 5 days

Gretchen Nicholson

The hotel was dirty, trash in the hallways when we got there was still there when we left 5 days later Our room had trash in it when we checked in We never saw any housekeeping at all

Had to go to the front desk for coffee, towels, etc Half the time the front desk was unmanned Absolutely no security The front doors were always unlocked and no one at the front desk The bathtub was extremely worn Hot water ran out during my shower Our sink faucet ran constantly The only good thing is the location

Such a great stay I wanted to treat my husband to a relaxing night after a few days of tests/procedures at City of Hope He was so happy with my choice -“whatever you paid for this, it was worth it

” The arrival was smooth, greeted by the signature 1Hotel scent in the lobby (iykyk) Front desk staff was nice and allowed us to hang by the pool while we waited for our room to be ready (we arrived super early) Plenty of seats at the pool with a beautiful view, our server was super friendly to boot Our room was a very comfortable and serene space with a great bed Bathroom was big with quality, delicious smelling products We took advance of a ride from the house car to dinner On return that night we were enchanted by the outdoor areas at night – there was a stunning overhead light installation that made the entire patio area magical This spot is really so special and a luxurious green sanctuary in the midst of LA – we will be back when we can

Ryan Kaminsky

Disappointing hotel Really hoped for something goodRoom was nice, but curtains and shades not easy to close, and there was no turn down service

No water in the room except for an 11$ bottle that was the size of a coke canI asked front desk for a bottle as i was going for a hike and they told me i could purchase one for $11 What 5star hotel doesn’t give guests water!!!???Food portions small and expensive Breakfast service was slow, chaotic and got lots of reasons why the couldn’t do what I wanted Simple omelette that every other5 star hotel can make Asked them to toast my muffin They didn’tWill not come back hereSad!

Angela Austin

We had a wonderful time, it’s a stunningly beautiful hotel Wow Not crazy busy at all, everything seemed so quiet and quaint despite the size of the hotel

Love the sustainability stance Dania checked us in, and she was sooo sweet! Hospitable was an understatement Love when the front desk team is nice Food was great, though Harriet’s Rooftop–the host to let us in (tall African-American guy)-was unnecessarily rude and trying to create unnecessary exclusivity, even after we said we are guests of the hotel I thought those times were over Anyway, once upstairs, the ambience was greatRooms were very clean, products were perfect, bed-amazing, and viewsstunning Everyone at the hotel itself were sooo nice!! Oh and valet were all so nice! Long story short I highly recommend this hotel Love all the 1 Hotels, and this one was exceptional

I would not recommend this place to anyone FIRST bad thing is my friend had a very inappropriate guy in in her coed room saying and trying to get her to do gross things with him and no one really seemed to genuinely care about her situation Second, They don’t clean well and the beds looked like they have been slept on previously

They also did not give us linens on two of the three beds in the private room and when I asked for linens they gave me a gross dirty blanket rather than a comforter and one sheet also the towels had big holes in them and smelled bad There was very minimal hot water and if you did get hot water it lasted like 5 minutes max I heard other guests complain about this so It wasn’t just my room additionally, SAFTEY and SECURITY was not very good other hostels change the door code every morning to ensure no one has the code from pervious stays or that guests don’t give them out to people who you would not want coming in, or they give you a key card/key but this hostel had the same code every single day which is unsafe and its the easiest simple code The front desk workers seemed like they don’t want to be there except for one guy and the whole vibe is just unfriendly Usually at hostels other guests are hanging out in common areas but they make it so unappealing to come out into the common areas because of how unfriendly the vibe is They told us when we booked that they offered free breakfast but when we got there they were not doing it anymore due to COVID I have stayed at other hostels during COVID recently and all of them still had free breakfast It would have been good to know before booking since I was traveling on a budget The only good thing about this place is in the private rooms you get your own bathroom and a lot of storage for clothes and that it is in a good central location Overall, they need to care more about the customer experience rather than just making money I would suggest they dedicate one of their dorms to an all female dorm too

Haylee Smith

Very bad experience, it’s very dirty, the towels was covered of black stains the same for the sheets, it seemed that they were Never washed especially the blanket there was hairs on dust etc etc The bathroom was disgusting Like I know that’s not an expensive hostel but it wasn’t clean

To finish it was insecure A junkie was in my dormitory I was very scared And the windows can’t be locked so everyone can come in and stole your stuffsI will never come back again

James Bond

Messy rooms, linen not clean and tv’s don’t work Only thing I liked was the ample source of WiFi but aside from that this place ain’t it Plenty of better hostels in the city to stay at for equal price

Tbh I think day management has something to do with it, because I see the potential it just wasn’t put together properly Do better

This hotel was lovely Clean room, comfortable bed, comfortable sheets The decor is lovely

The staff were lovely Shout out to Robby who was always so helpful and went out of his way to help us Location is great, I felt very safe there was a store / pharmacy around the corner that was open 24/7 which was very convenient Slight issue with the plumbing / toilet not working 100% but I would definitely recommend staying here !!! Thank you!!!

AJ Hanson

Nice staff but rock hard beds The way hotel does early check-ins, late check-outs and housekeeping is interesting – having to pay for everything that’s normally by request only is odd This is great place to stay if you’re just looking for a place to crash but plan on being out and about most of your stay

Over all, not the worst place you could stay

Andres Loaiza

Was in the Beverly Hills area on business for first time Thursday-Friday stay The location is great

Valet parking for overnight stay ($30) Loads of restaurant options The hotel was very nice Room had ceiling fan & air conditioning For the price point, you get all you need Would definitely recommend A special thank you to Nathan & Veronica for their costumer service

Nirali Patel (Niroo Biroo)

The staff are so friendly the second we walked into the door They were funny and answered all our questions about the food Our waitress was so kind and walked us through the menu and recommended us some non-alcoholic drinks

The environment is so detailed with decor from floor to ceiling It definitely represented Los Angeles The chef recommended 2 dishes per person so, we ordered ceviche, short ribs, risotto, and octopus with potatoes The food was absolutely delicious although it is pricey but good for special occasions It is a small place so you really have to look for it I would recommend Mama Restaurant and would go back

Paz Roqué

The rooftop is great, very chill ambience with friendly staff Their burgers are fantastic (they also have impossible burger), everything we had was very tasty Music was good and you get a nice view of the city

What’s not so great: they had only one bathroom working and the lines were long, their beers weren’t as cold as you’d expect for a rooftop

Shea Rose

I went here, and it was AMAZING, great atmosphere great drinksI asked about a salad another girl had and it turned out to be a shrimp sandwich she asked to be deconstructed , with no bread & added avocado on the side and it was amazing!!!! I will be getting that again!! Literally 3 other tables ordered the same thing and enjoyed it as well Anyone that goes if you like a REALLY GREAT salad try it! You won’t regret it! Everything was really really good!

She to the high ratings of this place we booked a room We were in Los Angeles for medical care at Cedars Sinai The location of the hotelIs very adequate

There is a restaurant right next door it’s not very good but it gets the breakfast job done The rooms were spacious and clean and modern The air conditioner was not working in the room as the day we arrived was very hot above 90 degrees but the front staff brought us a box fan Beautiful area and beautiful landscaping the front staff is always super nice

Darcie S

Cockroach in our room Overall pretty tired and not cared for but cheap for LA and cost reflects that “Sprung” for Romantic Suite which was nothing but – very weird room, neon lights on windows all night and the room vibrated plus the round bed didn’t have proper sheets so mattress was half out and pretty dirty

Do not recommend On a positive note – it was a Great location, nice enough staff, free parking was a plus and the courtyard pool area was chill Wouldn’t stay again on account of cleanliness (again, cockroach)

Melvin Fernandes

I get very very annoyed when I do not get what I had booked! Supposed to get a deluxe room but instead was compromised for a base room with double bed and window ac which doesn’t work properly On asking for my compromised compensation, $15 is what I got My first ever visit to LA and my first hotel in LAElevator smells badRooms were clean but I do not know why I sneezed so muchYou’ll love the swimming pool though

I wouldn’t be excited to come here againI will choose this hotel only when I do not have any convenient offers or deals elsewhere

Lulu R

So disappointed in our stay at the Mondrian this time Although the staff were lovely the hotel has lost its cool LA vibe We didn’t realize the pool area has now become an over 21 area after 1 pm Friday , Saturday and Sunday turning the whole outside area into a sleazy pick up joint for ages 21 to 30 which is great if that is want you’re looking for

But we had our 18 year old daughter with us and it would have been good to know this Also the lovely restaurant and hang out area was completely closed so really felt ripped off paying for these amenities we could not use We will definitely not be going back

A

Front desk staff are not polite, in fact very rude and dismissive upon check in and check out Cocktails at the pool were disgusting, gave a few different cocktails a go but all of them were terrible Don’t waste your time or money there when there are plenty of good bars around

Housekeeping did not replenish coffee, coffee cups or creamer, shampoo or body wash Nor did they take the trash out I checked in to a room that hadn’t been vacuumed, collected dust and hair on the bottoms of our feet and the bed sheets had a short curly hair in them (gross) Hallways and doors are in need of a renovation The best part: The room itself was nice and the bed was very comfortable All in all a very disappointing experience for the price and apparent reputationDisappointing and underwhelming sums it up

Josh Net

This Hotel’s pool area is fully open to the public We were full paying guests but had nowhere to sit or lounge around Instead we noticed Ubers dropping off individuals and they just walked into the pool area, no key or ID required

The view is not bad but they really really need to clean the pool, it was pretty dirty so that’s a bummer I agree with other previous guests that this is a party hotel It was loud DAY AND NIGHT Difficult to sleep and relax in the room with the obnoxious noise We also noticed two cockroaches in the tub but we took care of that ourselves so no big deal there I’ve stayed at 6 others in the area and this is by far my least favorite This hotel is not intended for people who want to relax and enjoy a nice clean pool No peace and quiet at this hotel Good luck!

I stayed here for a few days while visiting friends and had a great experience The hotel is very clean and well run The staff is super friendly and helpful (especially the older gentlemen at the bar in the restaurant (Faruk?) he provided amazing service, was really great to chat with and clearly takes great pride in his work)

The rooms are spacious and I like the mini living room style set ups I enjoyed my time on the rooftop with views of the city while I worked The location is also great The only thing that could have been better was to get house keeping daily instead of only every three days (as I was only in there for a few days) Will definitely come back when I am in the area again and recommend to people

One of the worst dining experiences of my life Completely empty restaurant on a Wednesday night Main food came 50 minutes after we ordered

Pasta was not warm Steak was like a brick So disappointing The staff seemed like they couldn’t have cared less and were just watching sports on TV Unbelievable level of customer serviceTo make matters worse, I vomited after the meal and my friend broke out in hives I wouldn’t be surprised if our food had been tampered withVery disappointing and I hope the hotel takes steps to remedy this awful service situation

The rooms are very small The bathroom is tiny, and there is no proper separation between bathroom and sleeping area so get ready to listen to the music of the Oval Office if you bring a partnerCleaning during your stay is paid

There are no plugs by the bedThe hotel itself is very nice and I recommend a stay here for sure, if the price is low

Sonja N

Booked this place for 3 daysRead the reviews just a day before the trip about recent (within one week) black mold and Sonder staff painted over it! I didn’t want to deal with that due to health concerns and cancelledNevertheless and despite stating that they “understood” – they kept bringing up their cancellation policy “3 days prior” to me and said management is completely inflexible

I contacted the health department and they will do a formal inspection of this placeAnd here’s the kicker too – they also charged a daily cleaning fee and tax even though I’m not there! And they likely will fill the room and get double what they usually get There is no level of understanding here I would’ve stayed there if there was no black mold issue How is this acceptable?

Le Parc had come recommended to me by my brother, who had stayed there several times So glad I took his advice! Located on a quiet street, but within walking distance to some happening spots, this boutique hotel offers friendly and helpful staff, a wonderful art deco vibe reflected in its furniture pieces, and a modern, eclectic array of artwork adorning its walls The rooms were clean and decorated with a designer’s flare

The rooftop saltwater pool and surrounding cozy seating nooks provided a fun way to end the day while sipping a beverage and enjoying the awesome LA weather “I’ll be back!”

It started with a great welcoming check-in process by the front desk; then, I walked into an impressive room that was even bigger than my apartment! I could live here! Everything in the room’s design and amenities complement the space The restaurant was great for breakfast, and the staff was top-notch at the front desk and restaurantI’ll be coming back!!!

Being a Marriott member I was looking for a place in LA for a few nights and came across Beverly Hills Marriott Reviews were good, place looked nice so I booked my stay The second I arrived the valet helped me out of my car and into the lobby

The front desk was quick and efficient and got me my room key quickly Went up to a very nice and modern room and everything was cleanI loved my stay here but there was just 1 thing holding me back from giving it 5 starsThe bedExtremely uncomfortable as I prefer firmer mattresses and my back was sore after both nights Also didn’t sleep well because of it too Not sure if they were older mattresses but I was not a fan Loved everything else about this place though and the staff was top notch

In general, room, hotel services, location are pretty goodThe hotel itself is old and I can see some cracks here and there in toilet, but still functional By the way, I think they should renovate their elevator! They provide complementary morning coffee in the lobby (Starbucks) which is nice

However, for a hotel with nearly 300 USD per night, I expected more

Kai and Charlie in Valet were amazing, we stayed the night with a 10-foot trailer in tow along with our pickup truck They were amazingly helpful in getting the car and trailer situated even in a city like Beverly Hills which as you may or may not know is impossible to park a trailer The staff was great, we travel for business often and I would stay there again and again

The rooms were small but clean, staff was friendlyThe only downside they charged my card twice on accident and I am working to get that situated 😉

Not too sure what the other reviews were saying but I thought the staff was very friendly! The guy who checked us in was informative about where everything in the hostel was (bathrooms, kitchen area, luggage storage etc) Check in and check out process was quick and simple

I appreciated the covid screening We booked a 4-person female room and the ladies who stayed with us were all very lovely It wasn’t as noisy as we were expecting The bathroom was clean, I noticed they had a custodian clean the bathroom very often which was great The location was great for all our activities we did in the surrounding LA area I’d recommend it to anyone who plans on being out and about for 16 hours a day and only needing a place to sleep, as that’s what my friend and I did For the price, you really can’t be mad

If you are coming to Hollywood, do yourself a favour and stay here My wife and I stayed here in a private room First off, the location is awesome! Right in the middle of everything you want to see and right next to a big, secure parking area

The check in was quick and easy The people on the front desk were easy to talk to, light hearted and made us feel very welcomed We looked around the hostel before going to our room and it was open, clean and just really good vibes The people were friendly and fun, this was nice after such a long time travelling We then went into our room and were surprised at how big it was The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, it had an air conditioner and a bar fridge It was way better than I expected! The bathrooms were very clean too (which is always a bonus at a hostel lol) This has to be the best hostel I have stayed in Overall our stay was incredible and for a great price Both my wife and I highly recommend staying here

2 stars for a 2-star hostel I stayed for 12 days, here’s my experience-nightly assaults from bed bugs, changing sheets did not help-the bathrooms are cleaned once a day in the morning, but the way people use them – there should be 2 cleanings a day People are gross-the shower doors are near see-through-the free wifi is sufficient-free breakfast from 6-9 (bagels, coffee, oatmeal)-loud parties in the common area at the end of the week, quiet hours are 12-7am so expect people to be loud until midnight
